I mentioned that I would like it if Ghast and I could go into\ntown and look around a bit.\n \n   \"Not dressed like\nthat.\" was Gary's reply. He chuckled as he said this, and I remembered that\nGhast and I were still only wearing diapers. I blushed at this even as Gary\nnonchalantly continued the conversation by presenting us with cargo pants that\nwould cover our diapers quite nicely. After getting dressed I noticed that the\ntop of the diaper peeked out of the pants a little, but decided that it didn't\nbother me. If people were willing to judge based on appearance, why should I\nentertain their bullying? Ghast got ready as well and didn't seem the slightest\nbit bothered by his diaper showing, though I didn't find it odd after what I'd\nlearned about him this morning. I bid the room farewell and Ghast and I took to\nthe stairs in a way only I could devise: ice slide. After Ghast used his Shadow\nSight to ensure that there was no one in the stairwell, I concentrated and sent\na pulse of anti-energy through the stairwell, creating a layer of three-inch\nthick ice that banked at every curve, leading to a fun and safe way to the\nlobby. I went first because Ghast wanted me to, and it was fun surfing down the\nice on my bare paws. As serious as the situation would have been if we had only\na week to change history, having a couple months or so to figure out what to do\nprevent me from feeling stressed about the whole thing. I slid into the lobby\nwithout stopping and almost kept going had I not deployed my claws for grip.\nGhastillo came sliding in shortly after, and I caught him to prevent him from\nsliding further. I waved my paw at the ice and it evaporated. I looked around\nto see the lobby empty save for a very peeved rabbit. She stomped over to us\nand unleashed her fury without warning. Excluding the absolute colorful\nlanguage, she said the following.\n \n   \"Just what do you\nthink you're doing? Is making my job harder that\nentertaining?\" she steamed.\n \n   \"What?\" I asked. \"Oh,\nyou must be the manager. Sorry about that, it's been a long story and I needed\nsome comic relief.\"\n \n   \"What does that\neven mean?\" She asked back.\n \n   \"I mean, it's been\na long week. I needed some stress relief.\" I corrected myself. \"I'm truly\nsorry, it won't happen again.\"\n \n   \"It better not!\"\nthe rabbit screamed. She turned around and stomped off, leaving a trail of hate\nin her wake.\n \n   I turned around to\nleave, muttering to myself, \"At least not in your lobby.\" Ghast stayed silent\nthe whole time. My guess was he'd had a run in with her before and didn't like\nwhat she had to say. That or the swearing I omitted was what kept him shy. We\nleft the building, me infuriated at the nerve of that woman and Ghast just\nconfused at all that was happening.\n \n   \"Friz?\" Ghast\nasked. \"Where are we going, anyway?\" I tried my best to get back into a good\nmood as I proclaimed:\n \n   \"One of my\nancestors was a fairly well-known poet, and I wanted to go to the bookstore and\nsee if any of his works are there.\" I said enthusiastically. We found the\nbookstore with little trouble, apart from a certain run in with a very irked\nhyena that I merely had Ghast take care of with his Shadow power. The details\nshouldn't be posted about what the confrontation was like. Mainly because I don't\nlike any of the things the hyena had to say.\n \n   Inside the\nbookstore, I went immediately to the poetry section while telling Ghast to stay\nout of trouble to which he replied that he wasn't leaving my side. In the same\naisle as me, he took to looking through some epics by some dude named Homer. I\nfound my ancestor's work, his name was Bliz Nightly, and I began reading the\nfirst poem I laid my eyes on. My face scrunched in disgust.\n \n   \"This is horrible,\nhow was this ever popular?\" I asked aloud, putting the book back. \"So much for\nthat. My mom said that his poems were some of the best in this time, but that\nwas just dreadful.\"\n \n   \"Must be the\ntimespan difference.\" Ghast commented without looking up. \"Quick question, do\nyou speak Latin?\"\n \n   \"What? Let me see.\"\nHe showed me the book. \"This is Greek, Ghast. Who is this by?\"\n \n   \"I dunno. Don't\nspeak Greek either.\" Ghast replied. He replaced the book and we went to another\nsection of the store. \"Think we would find any good information if we buy a\nnewspaper?\"\n \n   \"I would if I had\nmoney, Ghast.\" I replied. \"They're a credit each, and I'm poor as dirt, so\nyeah.\" I was perusing through the educational section and stumbled upon a\npeculiar sub-section in the form of a single novel. It was titled, The Supernatural and You: Your Guide to All\nThings Supremely Strange it was by some dude whose name is irrelevant. I\ndidn't credit the book on its accuracy, but it would be nice, I thought, to\ngive it a chance. The price said thirty credits, so my sigh that followed was\nappropriate. \"Remind me why I'm in a bookstore with no money.\"\n \n   \"Your ancestor-\"\nGhast started.\n \n   \"Nevermind. Don't.\"\nI sighed. \"Let's go, I suppose.\" We began to walk back to the hotel when I ran\nstraight into someone on the street.\n \n   \"Hey, watch where\nyou're going, BRUTUS.\" The man exclaimed.\nThe last word, though I didn't understand, sounded like it was in a language I\nrecognized. Was that Latin? He kept walking, and I turned to Ghast.\n \n   \"Do you know anyone\nor anything that slips into Latin suddenly?\" I asked him.\n \n   \"Isn't that the\nlanguage you use when summoning demons?\" Ghast answered with a question. Great.\nDemons. Just when I thought my day couldn't be any more willing to give me a\nrather rude gesture. I hastened to the hotel at this point.\n \n   As soon as we were\nin the room, I started drilling the occupants. First to receive a barrage of\nquestions was Nick. \"What do you know about demons?\" I asked with a rather rude\ntone in my voice. Ghastillo and Nick, as well as everyone else, were extremely\nconfused. I asked again.\n \n   \"What do you mean?\"\nNick replied.\n \n   \"What language do\nyou use to summon them?\" I asked.\n \n   \"Latin, I think.\nWhy?\" Nick replied.\n \n   \"And you!\" I\nscreamed at Gary. \"Where did you get the money for all the things you've\nbought?\"\n \n   \"Well see, that's a\nfunny thing.\" Gary replied, dodging the question a bit. \"I didn't exactly buy them,\nreally.\" He explained...\n"}
