Gary even offered to join if Friz did, but Friz merely said\nthat he would so long as Gary stayed the adult. Gary ordered pizza, some greasy\nfood that had not existed in our version of Nethermost, and we ate the\ndelicious food while debating what to do. It was offered that we hang around\nfor a month or so, trying to lay low, until trouble arises; and another idea\nsuggested we use Timler's ability to find the riot members and stop history in\nits tracks that way. The three-year-old bear shot down the latter idea,\nexplaining that his time travel abilities were limited in some ways, and\npredicting the future and rewinding time have cease to work very well for him\nsince we arrived here. He did like the idea of relaxing or once in his life, as\ndid everyone else, and that's what was decided on. I had the itching feeling\nthat we would not be having a peaceful time at this, but I decided to keep that\nto myself until that night. I confided in Gary and Friz, since we acted as the\nleaders, and they had the same unease. I hoped that it was just that, but I\ncan't remember when that's ever been the case.\n(Friz's Point of View)\n \n   The next day, after\nbeing grown back to sixteen years old, I decided to take the bank card to the\nbookstore and buy that supernatural book that I saw along with the daily paper.\nCatching up on the current events is something that I decided would be a good\nhabit to get into. These papers also were adept at keeping up with every crime\nwithin the country, it seemed, since there were so few. I did some window\nshopping until around lunchtime, which I was elected to acquire for the eleven\nof us, and saw some things I thought might be useful. Those things were board\ngames, and I thought it wise to have a way to prevent us from slipping into\ninsanity. The choice lunch I decided on was some fast food from a local\nrestaurant, and during lunch the subject was brought up as to whether it was a\ngood idea for me to buy the games. Some were opposed, but others embraced the\nentertainment. I invited Feir and Ghast to go look for other things that might\nbe important for our stay here. Feir suggested some way of staying in touch no\nmatter where we were, but Ghast said it wasn't necessary. When asked about it,\nthe following story unfolded...\n(Ghast's Point of View,\nthe Previous Night)\n \n   Is it working? I heard in my mind. I\nlooked around, but no one had spoken. I heard another sentence belonging to a\nforeign voice enter my thoughts. It's\nworking, no doubt. There was a snickering tone to this voice, and it was\ndifferent from the first. They also sounded familiar. I was distracted from my\ngame of Rock Paper Scissors Slap I was playing with Friz, and he noticed.\n \n   \"Are you okay,\nGhast?\" he asked. I was beginning to place the owners of the voices laughing in\nmy head, so I just said that I was tired. I knew where the Fallenoak twins were\nand that they were alone, so I excused myself to go check on them. Friz was\ndistracted amazingly by Feir, so I was able to confront the snickering twins\nand told them not to do that. They apologized and claimed it was all in good\nfun, so I held no grudge. I was also distracted by needing to tell Friz to\nchange me, so I didn't bring it up that night.\n \n   Skip to the\npresent, I told this to the fox and panther in front of me and they decided to\ninvestigate it, seeing if it could be taught. Friz was reminded of another\nstrange nightmare and wondered out loud at this point if our dreams were some\nhigher power teaching us new abilities. Feir didn't dismiss the idea, but he\nthought it unlikely, saying that God was probably much too busy doing other\nthings to care about us. Talk about pessimism. I wonder what his childhood was\nlike...\n(Gary's Point of View)\n \n   I had another\nnightmare. This one showed me that I appear to be able to throw my voice, and\nreally well. I tried it this morning and manage to make Nick think I was\ninvisible for a good five minutes. Maybe I really am the immature one, but it's\ntoo much fun to mess with people to ever stop.\n \n   Nick had told me\nthat he had another nightmare but was alone this time. He learned how to create\na bow out of light and fire it with a single motion. I thought at that time\nthat we should start relaying our nightmares to each other each morning.\n(Fluhr's Point of\nView)\n \n   Julio and I spent\nthe previous night and all of today catching up with each other and bonding.\nWhen Friz came home with board games, Julio and I jumped at the chance to play\na strange game by the name of battleship. It seemed strategic, so we were drawn\nto it as a way to learn to think before we act. It also was a testament to how\npredictable the other was. Julio had placed all of his ships together whilst I\ndecided to place them between 3 to 5 spaces apart from one another with the middle\nof the board almost vacant. I was victorious, as could be predicted when my\nfirst move was a hit, and Julio seemed discouraged, which led me to realize\nthat nobody in this room actually knows too much about the others apart from\nthe two pairs of brothers and Julio and I, but just barely then. I tried to\nremember to mention it that night over dinner...\n"}
