The heard is about to realize what the hell is going on. And Jake may start to actually grow a pair....with the proper lessons.
Dex gave me a pained look before he headed off to track. I had a little more time than him. I jogged back to the practice field behind the main field. There was a large crate of footballs. I sighted at the practice target that was set up some 30 yards away to practice my throws.

\\*\\*

It wasn't too long until I heard a sound behind me. Hoof steps. Slow, unsure. I kept my composure. It was hard. The colt from a few weeks ago wanted to ignore this looser. The colt from last week might have punched him or bit him. I had to fight very hard to keep those colts down. He needed me. It was one thing to be ok with that around Dex, it was another when I was on my own.

"Hey...."

I calmly glanced over my shoulder at Jake.

"Hi Jake.....sup?"

I hurled the ball. I hit the target. I smiled a little. It was also very hard not to get too cocky. This being a real stallion stuff is not easy for me.

"Aden......Dex said I should talk to you."

I nodded and threw the last ball. It was a miss. Overall still I had won the match.

I turned my head. I kept my ears relaxed and walked over.

"What is it....Andrew?"

The guess had struck home.

"You're jealous right?"

He poor colt nodded.

"Just to be clear, you are jealous that he's with Tracy and not you."

Poor Jake. Jake the ex linebacker looked ready to cry. Fuck he was almost draft horse size. Not an ounce of fat on him.

He lowered his head.

He wimpered.

"yes."

\\*\\*

Ok don't judge this part. I read the book. I even remember what Dex had done to me. What happens may not seem fair by human standards but by our standards? Well, more than fair. I just better be sure not to get carried away."

\\*\\*

No one was watching.

I bared my teeth and bit his shoulder, then I shoved him to the ground. I stood over him.

"Stop it Jake. Fuck, I'm an asshole sometimes, and a jerk, but this is wrong."

He spluttered for a second. The bite had drawn a thin line of blood on his shoulder. I could taste it in my muzzle too. I spat it out.

"You have been one lazy pony for a long time. What did you think was going to happen? Everything was just going to fall in your lap?"

He looked very sheepsh. I snapped at him again with my teeth, the snap echoing on a nearby wall.

"Fuck Jake, if you wanted you could take me down. You are BETTER than that. That runt mule that joined the team yesterday? Why didn't you beat him?"

"I....well...."

I stared at him.

_Now to push a little._

"You know Dex would be pissed right?"

For a second Jake looked panicked.

"Um...."

"He'd tell you what I'm telling you. I'm going to let you in on a little secret Jake. Who do you think shaped me up? I still have a lot to learn, and I am so wanting to pound you into the ground for being a piss poor stallion - sorry - colt....but hell....if he can take an ass like me and turn me into someone decent, then you better fucking start listening to me before I turn you over to him!"

Jake shut his eyes.

_Ok....calm down now......I'm not the stallion-leader, thats Dex. I have another role....so...._

"Listen to me colt. What are you going to do?"

He snapped his eyes open.

"Huh?"

I leaned down and snorted in his face. His ears kept cocking back and forth.

_This is new to him. No leadership at school. Fuck I did screw up by trying to be a bad-ass_

"What are you going to do Jake? Whats your plan?"

The black maned bay looked at me. He seemed lost in thought for a second.

"Challenge Andrew to be my mare...."

"NO!" I shouted at him.

He winced.

"um.....ask him to be my mare?"

I rolled my eyes at him and snorted.

"Talk to him?"

I gave him an equine laugh.

"Right answer stud."

I helped him up.

"And if he doesn't give you the answer you want?"

Jake looked lost for a second....then he stared at my face. I kept it inquisitive instead of showing the disgust I wanted to show inside.

"Um...leave him alone?"

"Aaannnddd?"

I leaned in a little letting my teeth bare a little.

"Leave him alone."

Was the weak reply.

I nodded to him. Only then did I give his shoulders a hug.

\\*\\*

Ok, I was not raised this way. This fucking twerp needs a good teeth gnashing and a chase around the field to get him to shape up or kicked from the herd to fend for himself.

No I'm not apologizing for that. That's what the horse book says I should do. I'm no idiot. I read up online about fur psychology. It's an interesting field. I may just take it up later.

Anyway no....despite my instincts and what the book said, no, right now he needs a lot of encouragement and direction. Just like I needed from Dex. He's the polar opposite from me though. Where I was brash, proud, and overconfident, he's lazy, bored, expecting the world to just hand him things, and when faced with problems, just gives up without a fight.

Ok....he seems to be coming around.

\\*\\*

I let go of his shoulders. There were a few more words I had to give him.

"Listen. Dex is great, but you can always turn to me. I mean, I'm still learning, but well, you need some lessons too like I did, just different from what I got. I'm going to talk to Dex about that."

The colts eyes widened. He looked scared.

"It's ok buddy, relax, and by the way, I'm proud of you."

He ducked his head.

"Why?"

I nickered at him and slapped him on his back.

"You weren't afraid to come out when something you wanted wasn't easy. You have to have some spark in you to be able to do that."

"um.....fuck....I did didn't I?"

I smiled at the bulking black maned bay.

"Yes you did. Don't worry, you're in the herd. You'd have to be a royal fuck up to get kicked out."

I ducked my head a little. "I almost did."

His eyes widened as he looked at me......"Dex...?"

"Enough Jake. Go. Talk to Andrew. Remember what I said. If he says no, it means no. Back off, and we'll talk more. I'll...."

I swallowed a little. "I'll take care of you. So will Dex."

He ducked his head.

"Thanks"

\\*\\*

Yuck. I want to spit. Its one thing to submit to the stallion-leader or herd-leader, it's another to have to help a fellow out. I mean, compassion? I can see where this is going before you. Yeah. I'm going to get some more 'lessons.' Well I'm telling you right now I don't care. I'll take them. I need them. I'll take every fucking one and keep fighting. If I keep getting rewards like I do, I'll be king fucking stallion of the world before you can say Dappled Gray.

Sorry....bit prideful? Yeah, that was. Damnit! Oh well, I have a game to play. I'll tell Dex later. Fuck....I wonder if I'll have to not cum again for a few days....hrm....

\\*\\*

So practice went fine. I sprinted and came out ahead of our tiger, Connor. Fuck if this kept going on I'd need my own lessons in humility. But back to the story, and my track practice isn't part of it.

\\*\\*

I sat in the bleachers. There was a multitude of people. Humans, felines, equines (not as many), and even some type of rodents. Huh. I hadn't seen rodents in class. Maybe they had an adopted child somewhere. Oh well.

The game started. I'm not going to bore you with a play by play critique of the game. Me? I know the rules, yes. From PE. That's about it. Sure coach wants me to join but, it's not really my thing. I'm still on the fence about that.

I watched, but in reality I was keeping a close eye and Andrew and Tracy, and not the game. They were seated, oh, five rows from me, and about twenty feet over. I could see their backs just fine. The band would play every time a touchdown was made, or any major play. People cheered. I noticed that Andrew and Tracy would kiss during that time. Nothing heavy, just light kisses.

I did notice when Andrew's painted arm slid lower and gently cupped her ass. I sighed inwardly. This was not going to go well for Jake. I just hope that he'd gone to Aden like he said he would.

Soon it happened. I don't even think we got to half time. I spied Jake walking. He wasn't slinking or sulking. He scanned the crowd. He finally spied Andrew. He waved frantically and Andrew got up and trotted down. I watched from where I was.

I watched the two exchange some words. At one point Andrew looked surprised. I finally saw what I was looking for. Jake's lowered head.

_Damnit. And Aden is on the field._

I sighed to myself. I got up and made my way down before Jake could leave.

In fact I passed Andrew as he climbed up the stairs. He didn't look angry, a little mad maybe, but that was better than raging.

I got down to the main landing and sprinted to the retreating form of Jake.

"Jake!"

He stopped and turned. I could see a tear in his eye.

Just one. He looked resigned.

I had to control myself. I stopped in front of him and looked serious.

"I saw. Are you ok?"

Jake looked at the ground.

"Look at me colt!"

_Ok that was not an accident. Heard-leader stallion-leader fuck it. He needs me._

Jake looked up. He barely met my eyes.

I strode forward and grabbed his arm and led him to the parking lot.

_Confidence training, confidence training, what can I do....what does he have....??_

Soon we were standing at the back of the parking lot. The dust tickled my nose, and I got a little bit in my eye. I ignored those sensations.

"Look at me colt!"

I demanded again. Jake looked down at me. He still could barely look me in the eye.

"What is it?"

Jake looked embarrassed.

"So?"

"He.....he said to stay the fuck away from him, and not to be around him."

_Ok time for a little equine psychology._

I made sure no one else could see us out here.

I snapped at the air with my teeth and bared my eyes at him in equine annoyance.

_Now that was not a human gestyre at all, but he responded and backed up a pace.._

"I will deal with that myself. No one is out of the herd!? Hear me?"

He looked shocked but nodded.

Inwardly I was grinning. _Huh. Colt number 2. How far is this going to go? Hrm....no sex with this one....not unless Aden is there and he approves....that's not done in fur life. Maybe in the life of a real horse herd maybe but not fur equines._

I softened my voice and laid my hand along his arm. It was really muscular. That was what struck me the fastest. It only confirmed my assumptions. I had a plan. It was a little public but it might just work. I'd never seen him in the showers....

"Listen, Jake, you lack self confidence."

"Well..."

I snapped at him. My hand clamped around his snout.

"It wasn't a question colt. You need confidence. You're going to get it."

I had my back pack with me. I rummaged around. I finally found what I was looking for. Two things. We would need to move somewhere non-dusty though.

I grabbed his hand and lead him to East Field. He didn't resist at all. That told me a lot about his attitude. It wasn't far. It was also empty. It was lit gently by glowing lights around it's perimeter. I stopped so we were in only soft light at this point.

"Take your shirt off."

I could see him stare at me in the soft light for a second.

He was wearing board shorts and a black school shirt with the logo on it, smallish in the upper right corner.

He quickly reached down and pulled his shirt off. I couldn't help by stare for a second.

_Sweet mother...he's ripped! Poor guy....and no self esteem? He'll have at least some by the end of this night or I'll eat Aden's jock._

I pulled out the currycomb. I'd bought it just in case Aden ever needed to brush down because of cum. Little did I guess I'd be using it on this almost stallion right now.

"Kneel down."

At that he paused.

"why?"

I snarled at him.

"Because you're too fucking tall horse head!"

He grinned at me weakly and dropped down.

I quickly went to work. I tried so hard not to get hard. It was useless though. I did. Sure I had Aden and his silky black body at my call. Here was something different. A beautiful bay. He was stunning, even if he didn't realize it.

I curried his fur as quickly as I could. I couldn't take all night at this. For fucks sake it was all I could do to hurry though. It was obvious that unlike Aden he would just take a cursory wash and that was it. It was a lot of work to get his coat to not be too shaggy.

Finally I took the other item in my hands. "Shining Lotion."

It was used for competitions. Horse and Fur Equine and other's alike used it to give a gloss to their coats. It did leave a slight slick to the fur, but nothing too bad. I hurriedly rubbed it into his pelt.

"Kittens and summer, kittens and summer, kittens and summer" I found myself muttering. An old trick to keep my mind off of dirty thoughts.

"What?" He cocked an eye at me.

"Nothing."

I took a long time on his mane. He obviously neglected it. It wasn't hopeless though. By the time I was done with that, and his tail I was physically tired.

Finally I was done.

"Stand up colt!" I snapped.

His hooves clopped lightly in the grass as he rose. His mane and coat shone in the soft light. His rippling muscles twitched lightly from nervousness. He was huge. He was muscualar. He was perfect.

"Fuck...." I breathed. Something stirred inside of me. I stepped forward and took him in my arms and hugged him tightly.

"My poor shy hot stud! If you only knew....really...." I felt his muscular arms for a moment rest on my shoulders lightly as I leaned into his chest. He smelled sharp, very pungent, so unlike Aden. He sighed. I could tell he felt safe and the words comforted him. I pulled away and gave him a huge smile.

If Aden was the Arabian Stallion of my dreams to be, then here was the Bay version...almost draft horse in size. The only difference was his attitude. He was so submissive. It made me want to hug him...and....well....that isn't what I or the herd needed right now.

I pulled out my phone and gripped his hand. I lead him to one of the lights. I aimed the camera at him. He smiled very shyly.

"Turn around colt."

He did.

I took a short video of him rotating for me. His muscled shone in the soft light. I did notice he arched his neck coyly at me and did flag his tail for me. He was trying to impress me. There was hope for him!

He stopped when I was done. I pressed a few icons, making it into a constant replay. I hit the "play button at handed it to him.

He took the phone and gasped at the picture. I grabbed his shirt from where he laid it on the ground while he stared at the video. I tore it. One long length remained when I was done. A perfect black strip with the school logo on it. I smiled. I stepped smartly behind him. He was too transfixed to worry.

I tied the ribbon to his tail.

I had seen a few equines do this before. Paint their chests, tie school colors in their manes. Well we're black and white. He had a black shirt. His tail and mane were black. Now he was sporting a black bow on his black tail along with the school emblem.

I stepped back in front of him.

I held my hand out.

"Phone?"

I cocked my head.

"um.....sure....was that....me?"

I gave him another snap of my teeth.

"Fucking right it was stud. Now follow me, and keep close."

\\*\\*

I followed Dex closely. I had no idea where we were going. I hoped he had an idea. I mean, Aden's words did help, but being crushed under reality blows. Its even worse when you're like me. I suck.

Mabey not so much, I mean after Dex worked on me, and I saw the pictures? Fuck I'd do myself! Ok, but still I had some issues. I know that. My parents know that. That's why they insisted I go to a public school instead of a private school. So I could start to "own myself" whatever that means.

Hold on, we're almost at the stadium. It's half time.

\\*\\*

Jake followed closely. His expression was far far away.

_Guys, guys, he's into guys.....ah....there they are....._

I found what I was looking for. Right in the middle. A big group of popular guys, and some galls. I knew a few from class. I walked up to the one openly gay guy I knew.

Rodney.

I winced inside. He was a tad flamboyant. He was hot though, if you're into tigers.

"Hey Rod, what's the score?"

It didn't take the gay tiger long to spot the hunky equine behind me.

"Um, 21 to.....helllllo....?"

The Tiger purred.

"Rodney, my good friend Jake. He likes the game and didn't know where to sit, I thought he might be able to sit with you.....?"

The tiger totally ignored me. He stepped up to Jake quickly. He rubbed his paw on Jake's rock hard abs. "Hi....Jake is it?"

_Oh he's smooth....and obvious...._

\\*\\*

Back in my seat I watched the semi drama unfold. I mentioned I hate dramas, well, I do. But when they are your friends and herd-ma....I mean friends, you have to pay attention. Jake had found a new friend. I glanced over at Andrew. Once in a while I'd spy him looking at Jake. Oh he paid plenty attention to Tracy, but Jake was getting a lot of looks.

Jake had the full attention of not only the gay guys, but some of the straight ones as well, and almost all of the girls, human, fur, whatever.

I even spotted Melissa with her bull boyfriend. She was steeling glances at Jake.

I laughed to myself.

"Didn't even know it was there....did ya?"
