For some that saw the spectacle, it would've\nlooked like just any general trainer sparring with his Pokémon to hone their\nskill in battle. For the young man and the Ampharos, however, there was more to\nthe story. \nThe two could've\ncontinued fighting, but the trainer had exclaimed with a pant \"That's\nenough...for today.\"\nAs the Ampharos nodded,\nthe trainer, known to some simply as Ethan of New Bark Town, he pressed a\nbutton on his staff as it collapsed into a short handle, resembling a\nflashlight at a distance. Smiling, Ethan hugged the Ampharos, and said \"I'm\nimpressed with how far you've come, Phosphora.\"\n\"Thank you.\" The yellow\nsheep replied, as she hugged back. Many years back, Ethan had found her while\non a shopping trip with his Uncle Cheren in Cherrygrove City. While his Uncle\nwas surprised to find a Pokémon far from where its kind was normally found, he\nnoticed that the poor Pokémon had appeared to be blind. There is more to the\nstory, but it will be told in good time. Do not worry fellow readers...all in\ngood time.....\nMost of what Ethan knew\nof his heritage had come from what his Aunt and Uncle had told him of his past.\nThe two wanted to keep it as much of it a secret as possible until he reached\nan age where he would understand. After an instance where someone pushed him\ninto a pool when he was eleven, and nearly died from being electrocuted did his\nAunt and Uncle tell him of his past as poor Ethan recovered on his bed back at\ntheir house. The two were about to send him to a hospital, but were surprised\nby how fast he had recovered, only needing a few days to recover from any\ninjuries he had sustained. \nUnfortunately, people\nbegan to get uncomfortable at the sight of Ethan, and began to spread rumors\nabout him, rumors of which that had grown worse as he aged. It wasn't long\nbefore the three had to move out of New Bark Town to protect themselves. Once\nthey found somewhere else to live, Cheren had helped Ethan develop as well as\nhide his electrokinetic abilities. Now that Ethan was at an age where he could\nbecome a Pokémon Trainer, he bid farewell to his Aunt and Uncle, as well as\npromising Hilda that he would use his newfound power for goodwill. \nNot showing any fear,\nthe two held an arm over each other, like a couple as they returned to Violet\nCity, where they had been staying, until the two were ready to head over to\nAzalea Town, which lay to the south. They had considered that Ethan was to\ncatch at least another Pokémon, perhaps two. As for Phosphora, she always felt\nthat she and Ethan were already mates, but she wished to save herself until the\ntime was right for the both of them. Perhaps it was part due to her being a\nPokémon, but something in her wanted to ask him if he would take more than one\nmate, as long as she was a Pokémon. \nShe chose not to ask\nhim, mainly because she had no idea of wording what she wanted to say, as well\nas believing that he would've preferred to just be with her. Not that she would\ncomplain with either scenario, she could tell by the electrical signals his\nmind was producing that he would never settle down with another human.\nSoon, the two had\nwalked into Violet City, where the young Ampharos' sight went ablaze. Despite\nbeing blind, Ethan refused to let that get in her way, and taught her as the\ntwo had aged to use her electrokinesis to work as a vision of sorts, something\nthat worked, but generally hindered her. Whenever they were in an area that\nproduced a lot of electricity, she could literally see every building,\nwaterway, even a few Pokémon that would pass by as though it were glowing in a\nyellow Aura. When they were somewhere that wasn't as reliant on electrical\npower.....I think you can figure that one out.....\nAs the two went into\nthe Pokémon Center where they were staying, neither of them noticed an aged\nman, wearing a grey raincoat and a fedora that more than easily hid his face,\nas he sat on a bench, watching Ethan and Phosphora walk into the center. \"We'll meet in time, Ethan.\" The man\nthought, as he pulled out a Pokéball, the Pokémon inside being one that he\nmeant the world to him, as well as another. \"We'll meet when the time is right...\" Putting the Pokéball away, he\nleft Violet City, without saying anything.\nAfter sharing a bed\ntogether, and only resorting to a long night of cuddling in each other's arms,\nEthan had asked her \"I was thinking of taking a look at the sights that Violet\nCity has to offer.\"\n\"That sounds lovely,\nEthan. And I have just wanted to ask...\" Phosphora responded. Not giving him a\nchance to respond, she continued \"Given that we are far from New Bark Town, as\nwell as Cherrygrove City...isn't there a possibility that you're free from people\nattacking you for who you are?\"\nSmiling sadly, Ethan\nsighed and explained \"I only wish it was that easy. Sorry to ruin it for you,\nbut I have a very long way to go before I can earn the trust of the people of\nJohto. As well as anywhere for all I know.\"\n\"Don't be sorry.\" She\nsaid calmly. \"It was just a thought.....let's check out of the center, grab\nsomething to eat, and check out...what was that place again...\"\n\"The Sprout Tower?\"\nEthan questioned.\n\"Oh, yes. That's it,\nthank you.\" She exclaimed enthusiastically. \"Let's get ourselves ready!\" \n"}
