# Throwing Stones(Poem)

I remember the summer breeze that used to calm me 

The face that would embrace my being

A man who makes me whole

I am no longer broken for he taped me back together

when it was in good weather we'd throw stones at lake

and I found his embrace

I didn't know how I could face

his loving arms 

at the beginning of it all it felt like an accident

I felt like I merely tripped over him and he picked me back up

I no longer had the old desires that plagued my mind

I understood that I wanted him to be mine

and with a kiss I knew this 

that the only thing that separated us 

was distance 

we danced like fools through the night and I looked into his feline eyes

and I saw a man not wearing a guise

I knew we were meant to be at some moment or another

and that we loved each other 

and as we threw stones at the lake we left behind the things that tried to say

an ugly past and once gone all there was is a loving warm embrace
