Anyways, aside from the pregnancy group here I am getting more involved with the United Furry Football League and helping that grow. So this is a short interview with Kennith Shrader from the UFFL's North Florida Renegades, a player I made last year. And just to try to keep things in order between him and Leon DeCanta, I will have Shrader's text in orange.
WFST - Tallahassee's home for all of your furry sport's needs!

And we are back to the Leon DeCanta show! I'm Leon DeCanta, the rat that is a sports fanatic. With us now is a guy that really doesn't need an introduction but we'll give him one anyways. He is a UFFL Defensive Lineman for the North Florida Renegades and he is Tallahassee's favorite rookie of the year, beating out a couple of others from the FBA's Typhoons. Let's give it up for Kennith 'The Shredder' Shrader! Welcome back, Kennith.

Oh, it's good to be back here, dude. Thank you for having me and thank the fans for choosing me as Tallahassee's rookie of the year.

No problem, man. Now let's get right to business and talk about last year's numbers. You missed two weeks for a concussion; but other than that you had 53 tackles, five of them resulted in a loss of yards and you only had four sacks. That's actually not bad for a rookie season. Should we expect more of that this season?

Well, considering that we have the toughest defense in the league, I would say that is some good stats. We're all doing our jobs on the field and sometimes we make good plays. So yeah, you should see more of that not just from me but from every other defensive guys.

Not only that but with the new picks from the draft, I feel that your defense will be much tougher. I can't wait to see what you guys will do this season. Now as far as your training goes, has that changed at all? You seem to be a bit more buff than when I last saw you here.

Not really, Leon. Although we do have our club gym to our full use, I still have times where I go outside my home and chop wood as well as move them to a storage area. Sure, it is not as cold here as it is in Indiana, but you can't be too prepared.

Oh yeah, it is usually tropical out here, Kennith. Speaking of Indiana, how is your family doing? Have they made trips over here to see you play?

My family is doing well. My dad came over for the home opener and then the family returned during Thanksgiving. My mom had plans on redecorating my house but I had to tell her that I am a bigger boy than when I lived with them.

**\\*Chuckles\\*** That is definitely good to hear; having family support is important. Now we go from your family to the family here being your team. The draft has passed and we have three new players to join the squad; Michelle Housley at quarterback, Thomas Cassidy at Defensive Line, and Aaron Foster at Safety. What do you think about each of them?

You know; there's something about reptiles that draws me to them. Justin Brown being a gecko at Vegas, Irvin Colbert and John Gradkowski being alligators and then Hendrix Blake... dude, he's a T-Rex! So seeing Thomas Cassidy come in as a cobra... you have no idea. We hit it off immediately; we have a good connection on and off the field. I know he will bruise any opponents that goes his way. Aaron Foster... if you came in the locker room and smelled nuts, then be sure he is cooking and is letting everyone try out his finished product. Most of the time it is good; if someone wanted a meat alternative, then this is your guy. Aside from that, he is quick for a squirrel of his size. I would love to see some interceptions from him in a few games. And Michelle Housley is quick as well. I have seen a lot of running games from her even though she is a quarterback. I think the coach is helping her out with scrambling better and running when the time is right. I would say about halfway the season she should be primed for the postseason.

Whoa! Already talking into the future! We will get to that in a minute. I want to stay with your new players. Now two of them, Housley and Foster, are from Canada. In fact we saw quite a few rookies coming in from the north. What do you think about these players coming here to play professional football?

Let them! If they have the skills and they know they are working hard to be noticed, then the teams here will notice; as you said a good number of them are playing as rookies now. And don't forget the ones that are already playing.

Of course. I wasn't trying to imply that they shouldn't play here. But of all the ones that have been drafted this year, people are talking about the number one pick, running back Jean-Entienne Tremblay... (slightly mispronounced)

Jean-Etienne Tremblay

Yeah, however he is pronounced.

Michelle Housley had us pronounce their names over and over until we got it right. Quite funny hearing some of them actually say the names. The french is not strong with them.

I see. I guess I should join that group. Anyways, you meet him and the Chicago Outlaws in week three and already everyone is talking about the match-up between you two. He is a big bear at 6'4" and 255 pounds and you're a big German Shepherd at 6'3" and 300 pounds. Do you think you can stop him at the short game?

We have actually talked before the draft and he's a real nice guy. As far as him playing, he may be a challenge but I can take on any challenge coming my way. I know we will meet a few times and I would love to see how he can get around me.

'The Shredder' vs 'Le Pickup'; people are already taking bets at Vegas and they're putting the odds against you. You need to prove them wrong, Kennith.

Look, I play as hard as I can. And if he or any other player get away from me, I know I will get them back at the next play. I always do. And I will always get at the quarterback.

Oh yes, speaking of, I heard there is a plush doll of you coming out; the Shrader Sack. I am actually holding it right now; an 11" version of you in uniform holding a potato sack. The idea is that every time you make a sack, the fans wave this about. Let me tell you right now that the idea is entirely false. They will be waving this doll every time you are on the field. We want to spread that energy to you so that you can make that sack. In fact, we want to see a sack every game from you!

**\\*chuckles a bit\\*** I can't promise you all of that but I will be doing my best to put pressure on the quarterback when I see them open. And I'm proud of how it came out. I think the sack itself was a last minute add-on but I know our fans will enjoy it no matter where they are.

They will definitely sell out; trust me on that one. Have you sent these to your family?

Everyone in my family has one as we speak. There are also a few players that wanted one. I already gave a couple to Artemis Griner and Coby Carson...

Let me stop you there for a second! I want your thoughts on Coby Carson right now. We have been following him through social media and it seems that his antics have been much worse now than at his rookie season. He is not only hated by the FBA players but even players from the UFFL. I mean he has gotten on a rookie's bad side for talking about his dead father and I'm pretty sure someone from the FBA has beat him up again. I'm almost ready to see him get banned from Tweeter at any minute.

You know what? He contacted me a couple days ago talking about a condition he's going through-

Which I don't believe for a second! What kind of condition does he have that would make him act more like a jerk to everyone including his teammates?

I don't know; but it has been confirmed by some of his other teammates. I am told that he is going through some physical changes as well. I don't want to see him sidelined with this; I know he is brutal on the field and I can't wait to see him when he is better.

Physical changes? I'll believe it when I see it. In fact... whoever is Coby's agent, I want to set up an interview with him when the Bandits come here to play! I want him to personally tell me why he is the way he is. Sorry, I just needed to get that off my chest. Before we go I want to ask about your personal life. Do you have any ladies that is catching your eye?

Oh dear... laughs I have too many fan mail and love letters from various groups of people. And yet I am still single. I may be talking to a female or two.

Does that include Artemis Griner?

We talk but we're only good friends.

Don't give me that. I have sources that says that you two talk on the phone a lot and that you two were out late at night after the preseason game with the Dons. Tell me there is something going on.

We did hang out after the game but that shouldn't mean anything.

All right, all right. We'll keep it a secret between the two of us And that will do it for now. You can catch Kennith Shrader at the home opener in week two when the Renegades face the Texas Ramblers. Kennith, thank you once again and I hope to see you near the end of the season.

You're welcome, Leon.

And we will be right back to the Leon DeCanta show after this word.

**Kennith Shrader and Leon DeCanta are created by me**

**Other UFFL players mentioned are created by their respective players**

**Tallahassee Typhoons is a part of the Furry Basketball Association - [http://furrybasketball.com](http://furrybasketball.com)%2C/**

**North Florida Renegades, Chicago Outlaws, Las Vegas Bandits, California Dons, and the Texas Ramblers is created by the United Furry Football League - [http://faff.wikia.com/wiki/The\\_UFFL\\_Wiki](http://faff.wikia.com/wiki/The_UFFL_Wiki)**

**(Hope I didn't miss anything else from there)**
