FIRE-ROBIN'S SONG
by Zycaneus
Completed 06/02/1998

When Fire Robin cared,
all that we shared,
raised castles upon the sand,
Our fantasies told,
all we might hold,
in tales both tall and grand,
But Fire Robin there
laid journey to dare,
'fore offering her hand,
and many we found
of sharp blades to lay down,
as hopes for life were planned.

Fire Robin, Fire Robin dance with me,
Come dream with me once again
Fire Robin, Fire Robin Why can't it be,
That love is more then pretend

To Fire Robin told
my secret dreams bold
as stories chased passions grand
But my fingers did clutch
the passion too much
till truth like fire did brand.
And our castles so tall
we watched them all fall
as dreams slipped through our hands
Then we could see
we were never to be
as our seed fell on barren land

Fire Robin, Fire Robin dance with me,
Come dream with me once again
Fire Robin, Fire Robin Why can't I see,
Your love was only pretend.
