{"sf1_id":935223,"sf2_id":"znJB2krn","title":"In a dream...","author":"Jiblits","words":394,"posted_at":"2015-11-19T04:38:00.000Z","tags":["Dream","Poem","Poetry","slice of life"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/935223-in-a-dream","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/s/znJB2krn","image_url":"https://cdn.sofurryfiles.com/submissions/thumbnails/80/95/80955a4b-da2e-45e4-8854-3bfc24b5c2ae","description":"She's gone from me now, but still wanted in my memories running round when I wander \u0026 wonder into rest...","content":"_ **In a dream** _... \n\n(Written with parts to a dream I remembered)\n\nIn a dream, I saw you there again, standing at the edge of light\n\n The moon shadowed in stars that were anything but bright\n\n Your eyes beckoning me toward your hand stretched out,\n\n wanting mine \n\n As I walked toward you, memories fell from each step of what we once were, I'm not sure why, but by sight, I couldn't see you clearly, what I could make out was hard to define\n\n As I met you close, I only felt a wanting to go over the edge, into the shining seemingly endless with blind reasons easy to find\n\n As you fell, I pulled away, your hand held mine, eyes cloudy, we were miles apart in why's, too many to ignore, the only answer we had was unkind...\n\nGrip unbreakable, emotions strong as could be\n\n I shared my answer clearly in your eyes.....then...you let go of me\n\nSo slow the goodbye worded in tears on your face\n\n Into the blinding light, I could still see your every trace\n\n...such a sad smile you held all the while...\n\nAs you joined so many still searching for their way, there reasons to be\n\nI found peace at least knowing, for your sake, you were free\n\nThe ground crumbling in such a twisted place, I backed away from a path not meant for my choice\n\nI turned away...with following whispers of your voice\n\nIt haunts the moments I have with doubt in my actions to date\n\n I don't pretend to be okay with what I've done, but I know, I still have a chance to move past our fate\n\nThere's still hope in the cracks of a broken dream shared by two who couldn't reach the end\n\nToo close to our fading flame, our hour glass began to bend\n\nYour still you, just lost in the ease of a moment you can't take back\n\n I can still see clearly through our looking glass, out of sand, somewhere along the way......we lost track\n\nI don't know where you are now, I only know some wrongs are right, \u0026 that's enough for me to look away\n\n\"Why\" is something I know too well now, the past is where, for me, you'll have to stay\n\n---If you read this, please...know this was written in ease...---\n\n---Thanks for reading---\n\n ---Always---  \n\n  \n  \n\n"}
