Chapter 1\n* * *\n \n\"Steven! Dinner's ready!\" Christina yelled to her son. \n \n\"Okay, mom. I'll be right there!\" Steven yelled back to his mother from his room. \nThen he quickly wrote a short message to his friend, Michelle -otherwise called Fuller \nbecause it's her last name- that he had to go eat dinner and would message her on \nMyspace when he was finished. \n \nBefore leaving his room Steven looked at the digital clock next to his bed on said \n\"Four thirty is to damn early to be eating dinner\" to himself. Then proceeded to walk out \nhis room, and down the hallway to the dinning room. As he walked to the dinning room \nhis sensitive huskey nose was assaulted with the smell of about fifteen different herbs and \nspices. \n \nHis mother loved to cook using as many herbs and spices as she can to enhance the \nflavor of whatever she happened to be cooking that night for dinner. Christina loves to \ncook many different Italian dishes even though she is predominately Polish. The female \nhuskey loves to cook whatever Italian dish that makes her beloved husband happy. \n \n\n\u0026nbsp; As Steven walked into the dinning room he noticed that everyone -except his \nmother- was already sitting down starting to enjoy the spaghetti and meatballs his mother \nhad made. \"Sorry I'm late, I was talking to Fuller on Myspace.\" He stated before taking \nhis usual seat next to his brother, Alex. \n \nAlex -Steven's youngest brother- was not a huskey like himself, his brother -Tyler- \n, or his mother. Alex got his looks from his father -Steven's step-father- who is a German \nShepherd. But, Alex takes after his mother in the sense of being able to comprehend any \nsubject fairly easily. \n \nAs Steven sat down, Steve -Steven's step-father- said \"It's okay, just try to keep \ntrack of time better.\" \n \n\"Okay, I will.\" Steven replied before helping himself to the spaghetti and meatballs \nin the big bowl in front of him that just so happened to be in the middle of the large round \nmahogany table. \n \nAt that moment Christina walked back into the room backward -to be able to open \nthe swinging door- with a loaf of garlic bread in her paws. As soon as the female huskey \nput the bread down, her canine family immediately started to rip pieces off and put them \non there plates. \"Boy, you guys must have been really hungry. I never see you's eat that \nfast.\" she added before sitting down and making herself a plate while she had the chance. \n \n\n\u0026nbsp; \"Well I know I was.\" Alex said as his tail started to wag back and forth, \"You're a \ngreat cook mom, your food always tastes so good!\" \n \n\"Well I'm happy to hear that, and thank you, that means a lot to me.\" She replied \nbefore spearing a meatball and eating it. \n \n\"Kiss-ass\" Tyler muttered under his breath. \n \n\"Tyler! What did I tell you about calling your brother names?\" Steve said shortly \nafter Tyler made the comment. \n \n\"Sorry Alex.\" Tyler said not really wanting to say it, but knew better then to fight \nwith Steve about name calling. After which, took a big fork full of spaghetti and shoved it \nin his muzzle. \n \nAfter that, the rest of the meal went pretty much in silence with the occasional \ncompliment of Christina's cooking. Tyler was the first to finish his dinner, as always, put \nhis dish in the sink in the kitchen, and went up to his room in the attic, which he had \nrequested to have when they moved into the house some eight years ago in the year 2000 \nabout six months before Alex was born. \n \nWhen Tyler got up to his room he closed the door, turned the TV on the table in \nfront of his bed, picked up his phone in his room, sat on the corner of his bed, and called \nhis girlfriend, Lauren. Lauren is a rat, which Tyler had been seeing since the second week \nof school -which started in September- and they had just \"celebrated\" their one month \nanniversary two days ago. \n \n\n\u0026nbsp; Tyler's room was fairly simple. His bed is positioned under the attic window - \nheadboard under the window- with a table in front of the bed about eight feet away, with a \n38\" color TV on it. A maple work-desk off to the left of the bed under the slant of the \nroof. On the desk sat Tyler's Compaq laptop, left open, but turned off. Next to the laptop \nare various papers, pens, pencils, a ruler, a glass of water that was left half-full, and the USB cord for his Ipod nano. To the right of the huskey's bed is his dresser, with some of \nhis clothes sticking out of the draws. On the dresser is Tyler's PS2, along with various \ngames and a few controllers. On the walls are many different band posters. So much so, \nthat there was no real need to paint the walls because they were rarely seen. \n \nTyler talked to his girlfriend for the rest of the night about any little thing they \ncould think of, eventually falling asleep with the phone next to his ear around midnight. \n \n\\* \\* \\* \n \nBack in the dinning room; Steven was next to finish his dinner about ten minutes \nafter Tyler did. He excused himself, put his plate in the kitchen sink, and preceded to his \nroom at the end of the hall. \n \n\n\u0026nbsp; After Steven, Alex finished, followed Steven's example with his plate, and went to \nhis room to play his Xbox 360 for a little bit before taking a shower and going to bed. \n \nFinally Christina and Steve finished, and went to wash the dishes together. As they \nwashed the dishes they made idle chat about what they were going to do on Saturday \nwith the kids. \n \n\"I think we should take the kids to see a movie, since its suppose to rain on \nSaturday anyway.\" Christina commented to her shepherd lover. \n \n\"We could, or we could have a family movie day.\" Steve suggested, \"You and I \ncould go to the movie store, rent a few movies, get some snacks, and spend the day at \nhome?\" \n \n\"I like that idea. We could also invite my sister and her son?\" Christina added. \n \n\"I don't see why not. Its always good to have company.\" Steve said, a big grin \nspreading across his muzzle. \n \n\"Then its settled. I'll call Steph, and you tell Steven that we're heading out for a \nlittle bit.\" Christina said, as an equally big grin now on her muzzle as her tail wagged \nhappily. \n \n\n\u0026nbsp; \"Okay, I'll tell him, and get the car started,\" Steve said giving his huskey lover a \nsoft kiss on the muzzle before adding, \"and I'll see you in the car.\" With that Steve left the \nkitchen to go inform Steven that they'd be going out for about an hour. \n \n\\* \\* \\* \n \nSteven had just signed back onto Myspace when he got a friend request from a \nbadger that goes by the name Mikeycorpse. When Steven saw the badger, he tried to \nremember if he knew him, but finally decided that he had no idea who he was. Then after a \nfew minutes of debating with himself, he figure the badger looked cute enough to accept \nhim as a friend. \n \nAfter accepting the badger as a friend, Steven went to look at his profile to learn a \nlittle more about his new \"friend.\" A few minutes of reading told Steven that the badger \nwas in fact gay, and was his age. He also learned that they went to the same high school. \nThat made Steven wonder if he was new because he already knew most of the sophomore \nclass. Then as Steven was about to comment the badger, he got a message from none \nother then Mikeycorpse. So Steven opened the message, curious to see what his new \nfriend had to say. \n \n\n\u0026nbsp; The message read; Hey cutie, ive seen you around school and thought id \nintroduce myself. Im Mikey, or as my friends call me, Mikeycorpse. No, im not in the \nsophomore class, im a freshmen, I know shocker. Aaaaanyway, wut r u up 2?? \n \nSteven was a little dumbstruck at first by how casual this Mikey had sounded in \nthe message and was wondering how he had never seen him before. A couple seconds \nlatter, Steven remembered how to type and wrote a quick response saying: Hi, you \nprobably already know my name, but I'm Steven. Umm, that's interesting because I don't \nthink I've seen you around school at all. If you don't mind me asking, how are you a \nfreshmen? Aren't you fifteen? Umm, I'm not doing a whole lot, just talking to some of \nmy friends. You? Steven wrote on more of a formal tone, still not sure about this Mikey \nfellow. \n \nAbout a minute later Steven got another message from Mikey. Hehe. Yeah, I \nalready knew ur name. you know you dont have to write all formal like, im not gonna \nscold you on grammar. No I don't mind. I got left back in second grade cuz I was in the \nhospital most of the year cuz I was mad sick. But im better now. Nd yes I am 15. Not \nmuch really, just talkin to u. hey, y don't u call me. 555-1212. Ill be waiting... \n \n\n\u0026nbsp; Steven wasn't sure what to do. On one hand he really wanted to talk to the badger, \nbut on the other hand, his parents still didn't know that he's bisexual, and didn't want to \nrisk getting caught talking to a very open gay guy on the phone. But, as he was arguing \nwith himself, Steve walked into his room, and broke him out of his thoughts. \n \n\"Your mother and I are going out for a little bit. Your in charge. We'll be back in \nabout an hour or so.\" Steve stated, walking up behind Steven to see what he was doing. \n \nAt that moment, Steven closed the message and turned around to say: \"Okay, \nSteve. I'll keep an eye on Tyler and Alex. Where are you to going?\" the huskey asked the \nshepherd with honest curiosity in his voice. \n \n\"Nowhere special, just to the store to get a few things. Thanks, we owe you one.\" \nSteve replied. \n \n\"Okay. Anytime, so don't worry about it.\" Steven said with a smile. Steve returned \nthe smile, patted Steven on the head between his ears, turned around and left the room to \ngo start the car. \n \n\"This must be a dream come true. Damn I never get this lucky\" Steven said to him \nself before picking up his phone to call Mikey. \n \n\n\u0026nbsp; When Mikey picked up the phone, they immediately started talking about, well, \njust about anything they could. They agreed to meet before first period the following \nmorning by rooms 171-173 in the music rotunda. Then, after about two hours on the \nphone, they said their good nights and went to bed. \n \n \n \n \n\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_ \n~Author's Note~ \n \nHey, sorry that there's no yiff, and there won't be for a few chapters, \nBut I'd still appreciate any comments you guys might have, \nOr any suggestions as to what should happen next, \nEven though I already have a good as to what's gonna happen.
