# My Furry Friend

The background of this poem is one of a boy finding a furry animal in a tree (hence the name of the poem).

**&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;I have a little furry friend  
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;He lives up in a tree.  
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;He likes to come and play sometimes  
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;But he'll only play with _me._  
  
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;He likes to choose what games we play  
&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;And its always hide and seek.  
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;But sometimes I can't find him  
&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Then he gives a little squeak.  
  
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;I like my little furry friend  
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;I think I'll call him Fred!  
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;We play together every day  
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Until it's time for bed.  
  
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Fred is a very&nbsp;special friend  
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;He is what you want him to be.  
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;But only I know what he is&nbsp;inside  
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;That's why he'll only play with _me_.**
