Here's the link to it: https://www.sofurry.com/view/959892","content":"I wear a kind mask like I always do.\n\nBut today I put on a new mask,\n\nThat shifted my mood.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nA mask unlike how I am supposed to be,\n\nNot my personality.\n\nAnd yet I can't stop wearing it.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe mask expresses rage, hatred, and blood.\n\nTowards those who deem fitful of my hate.\n\nNot like me.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI can sense on how I feel,\n\nYet, my emotions were far too surreal.\n\nCan this just go away?!?\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nYelling, screaming, and violence all echo in my head.\n\nYelling, screaming, and punches all play in my head.\n\nThese thoughts and feelings fill me with dread.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThese feelings continue on and on and on,\n\nUntil, I give my new mask to people I trust.\n\nThey also see the mask's expression\n\nAnd are concerned to why I wore it (with just).\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nAt the end of the day,\n\nI pick up my old mask while wearing no mask at all.\n\nI see a crack by one eye leading a path down the mask's cheek,\n\nNot yet broken, but damaged.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI quietly wear back my cracked old mask of kindness\n\nTo be myself again.\n\nBut I am reminded of the mask I wore today.\n\nFor I don't know whether it will still have emptiness.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Poems","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/907715-poor-people.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/962271-a-broken-mirror.json"}}
