What will happen and will the outcome fit for everyone?\nRead on and find out!","content":"A New Side\n\nJustin woke the next morning before his overzealous hawk friend.\n\nSky, thankfully, was not a fan of snuggling after sex. \u0026nbsp;He lay faced away from Justin while the other men slept around them.\n\nJustin sat up in the center of plush, scented pillows, blankets and naked bird men then carefully, quietly crawled away without disturbing anyone.\n\nLee laid on one of the beds. \u0026nbsp;The rattlesnake was not a homosexual or even bi-curious like his dear friend, Javin. \u0026nbsp;He let them have their fun while he slept at a respectable distance. \u0026nbsp;The rattlesnake did like to sleep in the nude, however.\n\nJustin saw the naked serpent sleeping soundly, his scales which had been damaged during his self-imposed exile. \u0026nbsp;He shook the snake so he would wake up.\n\nLee had always been a light sleeper, so it wasn't hard. \u0026nbsp;He woke and his fangs briefly flared out before he saw it was Justin. \"Oh, it's you, Justin.\"\n\nThe jay bird held a finger to his beak while he crouched by the snake.\n\nLee was confused, then noticed that Justin was still naked, \"Uh... I think I've already said I'm not interested in that stuff.\"\n\nJustin smirked playfully at his friend before getting serious, \"It's not about that... There's something strange about these warriors here. \u0026nbsp;They are so eager to help us overthrow Nestor, like no questions, no thought about consequences. \u0026nbsp;They just want this.\"\n\nLee nodded, \"You're saying we shouldn't trust our friends there?\"\n\nJustin leaned in closer, \"I'm saying we should keep an eye on them, especially Sky while we're here.\"\n\nLee agreed, \"Alright... Now will you get dressed? \u0026nbsp;Your birdy dick's starting to slip out.\"\n\nJustin noticed then laughed, \"I think you should just take that as a compliment, Lee.\"\n\nSuddenly, the double doors slammed open as several armed guards, all ones loyal to Nestor, came into Sky's house.\n\n\"Everyone! \u0026nbsp;Get up and throw your hands over your heads now!\" \u0026nbsp;The captain of the guard shouted.\n\nJustin and Lee both complied quickly.\n\nSky and his group woke from the loud slamming.\n\nThe hawk saw his superior, a fierce and highly respect horned owl. \u0026nbsp;He threw his arms up out of respect for his captain.\n\nEach of his fellow defectors followed his example except one.\n\nA young osprey didn't want to surrender, \"Come on, this is what we're fighting isn't it?\" \u0026nbsp;He stood up in defiance. \"Captain Coram... \u0026nbsp;I will not stand down! \u0026nbsp;I and my companions will not be oppressed by you and your filthy whoring ways!\"\n\nSky tried to silence his young friend.\n\nCoram squinted his large eyes at the youth who looked like he'd hadn't even turned 18. \u0026nbsp;\"You are unwise to stay standing, boy.\" \u0026nbsp;He gave a gesture to one of his soldiers.\n\nHe stepped forward.\n\nThe osprey rose his scaly arms to defend himself, talons extended. \u0026nbsp;He charged the soldier and received a hard thwack to his beak by the guard's staff.\n\nThe soldier immediately apprehended the osprey and tied his arms behind his back before climbing off.\n\nThe osprey still was too stupid and zealous to surrender peacefully. \u0026nbsp;\"No!\" \u0026nbsp;He threw the guard and he kicked the soldier, giving him a deep cut to his side with the talons on his right foot.\n\nCaptain Coram then had no choice. \u0026nbsp;He told another soldier, \"Show no mercy.\"\n\nThis one had a spear. \u0026nbsp;He pointedly, but reluctantly raised his spear, \"Stand down, soldier! \u0026nbsp;Your commanding officer has ordered you to stand down!\"\n\n\"Never!\" The osprey shouted with the other soldier's blood still on his talons while the soldier clutched his lacerated side. \u0026nbsp;The osprey turned intending to slash his throat and end the warrior's life in defiance.\n\nThe other guard then had no other option, \"You brought this on yourself...\" \u0026nbsp;He ran up behind the osprey quickly.\n\nThe young raptor only had a chance to turn before he felt the spear pierce his side. \u0026nbsp;\"Aah!\" He screamed as he was penetrated.\n\nThe guard who had run him through grunted, \"I am sorry, brother... But you forced my hand.\" \u0026nbsp;He was not his brother by blood, the village's warriors were always taught to love one another like brothers. \u0026nbsp;Being forced to kill one of his own brothers hurt this particular guard. \u0026nbsp;He withdrew the spear.\n\nThe osprey fell to his knees holding his gut before he saw the spear coming toward him. \u0026nbsp;He felt it stab through his heart, and then he knew no more pain.\n\nThe guard spoke a silent prayer for his fallen brother before pushing the dead osprey off of his spear.\n\nSky looked in despair as his youngest companion had been killed before his eyes. \u0026nbsp;The 19 year-old spoke, \"What will you say to his mother, Captain?\"\n\nCaptain Coram shook his head at this further insolence, \"His mother will be informed truthfully of everything that has happened and she will understand our brother had no choice but to end his life. \u0026nbsp;You will show him respect by not dishonoring yourselves any further!\" \u0026nbsp;The owl even felt this was a pointless death, \"We were not even here to arrest you... Nestor has sent us here for him.\" \u0026nbsp;He pointed to Justin, \"So your friend just died for nothing.\"\n\nSky couldn't argue then. \u0026nbsp;He lowered his head in shame.\n\nThe guard who had executed the osprey helped the wounded soldier to his feet and escorted him out while another approached Justin.\n\nThe blue jay had been under Coram's command before, he had years of respect for the wise old captain. \u0026nbsp;He let himself be taken out by the guard.\n\nCoram watched as one of his favorite trainees was led out.\n\nJustin had to say something, \"Noctis Coram... Let me just say, it is good you are still here.\"\n\nThe owl showed no emotion, but he nodded as he watched the blue jay be taken out of here. \u0026nbsp;The owl was bisexual like most of the other males in this community and even a seasoned veteran like him had to admit that Justin had a cute sway in his walk.\n\n...\n\nNestor stepped out of his cottage as he heard an uproar begin to rise outside.\n\nAll the villagers watched the procession of warriors leading Justin through the center to the village square. \u0026nbsp;The blue jay was still naked, he hadn't been given a chance to get dressed.\n\nMost of the crowd began to jeer at him, some even threw garbage at him, remembering the crimes he'd been accused of.\n\nAll the warriors put an immediate stop to this as they were in the line of fire as well.\n\nPeople still cursed him and wished death on him.\n\nNestor crossed his arms as the disgraced ex-warrior was led through the square. \u0026nbsp;He saw in the distance, a wounded bird being led to the medicine bird's cottage.\n\nJustin took all the insults, he'd enjoyed a life outside of here, now he could endure their harsh words with a tougher skin than he'd had before. \u0026nbsp;He looked up into the unreadable expression of his traitorous chief.\n\nThe blue jay was made to stand at the center of the square while insults were still hurled at him.\n\nNestor entered the square, when the yelling hadn't stopped he rose his wings and shouted, \"Silence! \u0026nbsp;All of you remain silent!\"\n\nThat shut them all up.\n\nNestor looked at everyone sternly to see if someone still had something to say. \u0026nbsp;Then, he turned to Justin. \u0026nbsp;He was impressed. \u0026nbsp;He knew the bird would likely survive away from here, but he hadn't thought Justin would still be so perfectly fit. \u0026nbsp;And he'd been sent to live with the Fuchses, they never let their prey go.\n\nNestor stepped closer to the bird who'd always defied him. \u0026nbsp;Then, before everyone, the eagle lurched forward and drew the blue jay into his broad chest, embracing the smaller male tightly.\n\nEveryone, including Justin, was shocked when the chief did this, seemingly forgiving Justin for all of his past transgressions.\n\nJustin put his arms around the eagle's neck and Nestor preened his neck making the blue jay shiver from the sudden contact.\n\nNestor whispered, \"Are you as tired of all this bullshit as I am?\"\n\nJustin was tired, \"I am... Nestor.\"\n\nThe eagle then lifted Justin up, like he would have a bride, or a child, he turned then walked back toward his cottage.\n\nNow the crowd did not know what to say, it appeared that Nestor had accepted Justin back into their community.\n\nCaryn, who was one of the many watching, ran home to inform her husband.\n\nOrion had been feeding Ruby and caring for his new egg.\n\nCaryn came in to their home, \"Orion!\"\n\nHe looked up, \"Yes, Caryn?\"\n\nShe smiled, \"You are not going to believe this.\"\n\n...\n\nNestor carried Justin into his private bedroom where no one, not even his guard dared to enter. \u0026nbsp;This would give them the perfect privacy they would need.\n\nJustin was still confused that his enemy was now being so kind all of a sudden.\n\nNestor laid Justin on his bed, then promptly disrobed himself.\n\nJustin watched his chief strip before him.\n\nNestor saw him looking then even shamelessly posed for the warrior, \"I remember you used to look at me when we were in training together, Justin.\"\n\nJustin did, but that was all before he even realized he liked males.\n\nThe eagle climbed into bed with Justin, \"I can't say enough in words how happy I am that you're back... And I know it sounds strange of me to say that... But...\" He let his proud exterior fall away, \"I am... Miserable. \u0026nbsp;I've lost everything that was important to me... Almost everything and I did it all to myself. \u0026nbsp;I sent my father to his death, along with many other warriors who I had trained with, who I grew up with, including you. \u0026nbsp;My queen left me because I neglected her for another. \u0026nbsp;And the mate I chose, my own mentor, my Feroz...\" He broke into tears before Justin.\n\nJustin felt pity for the eagle. \u0026nbsp;He petted the sobbing chieftain, \"I had heard what happened to Feroz and I am sorry. \u0026nbsp;But then, I've also heard what you did to Maureen.\"\n\nNestor sniffed, \"It was not an intended effect. \u0026nbsp;I did not mean for her to be hurt. \u0026nbsp;She... She is important to our community. \u0026nbsp;She is the symbol of our generosity, of our hospitality to those in need and the people love her. \u0026nbsp;And I know I've said cruel things of her before.\"\n\nJustin was still suspicious, \"What is all this change in attitude?\"\n\nNestor sighed, \"I thought I knew... I thought I was smarter and I could just be a better chief by giving the people riches and prosperity... And I wanted most of those riches for myself. \u0026nbsp;And do you see out there? \u0026nbsp;We have prospered... Our village has grown, we have reptile families now living in our borders. \u0026nbsp;I achieved all of this and yet... Nestor has him.\"\n\nKali felt her temper hit the roof, \"WHAT?!\"\n\n...\n\nNestor nuzzled Justin as the two just laid together as new allies.\n\nJustin had never thought this would happen.\n\nNestor raised his head then when he noticed the jay's slit had opened and he saw a sliver of pink. \u0026nbsp;\"Laying with your chief is arousing you isn't it, Justin?\"\n\nJustin laughed, \"I guess I have a weakness for muscles.\" \u0026nbsp;He traced the eagle's pectoral muscles with his claws.\n\n\"I have not had another in my bed since Feroz died... \u0026nbsp;It is strange to have you here by my side, but it also feels right.\" \u0026nbsp;He preened Justin, licking the warrior's neck.\n\nJustin let his former enemy bathe him in gentle kisses, wanting to feel Nestor's warmth. \u0026nbsp;Justin rolled to face Nestor and the two birds joined beaks in a loving kiss neither thought would have ever happened, not between them.\n\nNestor missed this. \u0026nbsp;He missed having a lover, he missed being loved just for being himself and not because he was the chief.\n\nJustin had thought he would have this moment with Kali when he came home to her, but here with Nestor seemed more like, this is what fate demanded.\n\nNestor broke the kiss, \"Have you seen my son?\"\n\nJustin shook his head, \"Have you seen mine?\"\n\nNestor nodded, \"Justin Jr is going to be a handsome, strong fighter like his father.\" He pecked Justin gently, \"I want you to meet my son.\" \u0026nbsp;He got up, tying a simple loincloth to his waist to make himself somewhat decent. \u0026nbsp;He gave Justin one of his own.\n\nThe blue jay had to tie it tighter since he was still smaller than Nestor.\n\nNestor then eagerly led Justin into the nursery where his son slept.\n\nThe young eaglet looked peaceful where he was.\n\nNestor watched as Justin leaned over and carefully petted the sleeping eaglet. \u0026nbsp;\"I had... Originally named him Trantor... Now I realize that was a foolish name. \u0026nbsp;He should have a good name, one he can carry with pride. \u0026nbsp;So... I named him Feroz.\"\n\nJustin smiled, \"After your mate...\"\n\nNestor nodded, \"A more fierce and competent bird than I ever was... Thus his name.\" He looked at his sleeping son, \"And I hope... When he grows up... He'll be a better leader than I ever thought I could be.\"\n\nThe pair of proud fathers stood there side by side in silence before Nestor cleared his throat, \"I will... arrange a meeting with the elders and you may bring in people of your choosing. \u0026nbsp;We can settle our disagreements civilly.\" \u0026nbsp;He preened Justin until their beaks crossed and the dads kissed again.\n\nOutside, Kali stomped up to the cottage in a fury, \"Where's Nestor? \u0026nbsp;What's he done to my husband now?\"\n\nThe two males broke their kiss when they heard Justin's wife screaming from the front porch.\n\nNestor grinned, \"We'd better go out there before Kali puts my guards in the infirmary.\"\n\nJustin cocked a brow at him, \"Together? Naked for the world to see?\"\n\nNestor chuckled, \"Like I'd give a fuck what the villagers think of their queer chief.\"\n\n...\n\n\"Where is my Justin?\" Kali shouted more as villagers watched her, surrounded by her friends standing in front of Nestor's cottage before two falcon guards who were sweating bullets before the furious huntress.\n\n\"Your husband is right here, Kali.\" Nestor declared as both he and Justin exited the cottage side by side both clad in only loincloths.\n\nKali looked at the both of them. \u0026nbsp;It didn't take her long to realize what was going on, \"Uh... Were you two just fucking?\"\n\nJustin laughed nervously, \"Not necessarily, but someone here dragged me out of bed, threw me into his bed, then got in with me because he likes naked man snuggles.\" He looked at Nestor.\n\nNestor chuckled, \"As soon as I'd heard Justin was back, I had to see him again. \u0026nbsp;And see him I did. \u0026nbsp;You have a well-hung husband here, Kali.\"\n\nJustin laughed again, \"Isn't he just precious?\"\n\nKali looked between them, \"What... What the fuck is going on here?\"\n\nNestor spoke up, \"Your husband and I had just had a civil discussion about everything that has been happening and I am ready to listen to all your demands so we can make the necessary changes. \u0026nbsp;I am hoping that we can be civil.\"\n\nKali still found this strange, \"It's just weird...\"\n\nJustin held her hands and he kissed her, \"I know this is strange, Kali. \u0026nbsp;But it's true. \u0026nbsp;Nestor is gathering the council for a meeting and he has asked me to select people I trust to accompany me. \u0026nbsp;I know first, I want you, Kali.\" \u0026nbsp;He touched his beak to hers.\n\nKali smiled at that thought, \"But females are never allowed in council.\"\n\nJustin shook his head, \"You and I both know you are better than a lot of the hens here, Kali. \u0026nbsp;You've taken down predators twice your size. \u0026nbsp;You're a mightier warrior than me and I'm proud to have you as my wife.\"\n\nThat brought Kali to tears as she embraced her husband tightly, \"Thank you... I love you, Justin.\"\n\nJustin broke the passionate hug to see his dearest and best friend staring at him, \"Orion.\"\n\nThe cardinal was just happy to see his friend again and hear his voice, \"Yes, Justin?\"\n\nJustin took his warrior brother in his arms and embraced him as only he would, again displaying his open sexuality for his fellow male as he nuzzled the blushing cardinal, \"Will you stand with me at council again, brother?\"\n\nOrion looked to Caryn.\n\nApparently, she didn't mind when it was another male making advances on her husband, \u0026nbsp;she found it kinda sexy actually to see a different side to the bird she'd married.\n\nOrion smiled as tears filled his eyes too, \"I will stand with you anywhere, Justin.\"\n\nJustin nodded then he turned to his traveling companions and to Maureen, \"We've always only had birds at our meetings. \u0026nbsp;I trust you three each with my life. \u0026nbsp;I would be happy to have you with me.\"\n\nBoth Alice and Irving jumped at the task.\n\nMaureen wanted to, \"But, who's gonna watch the children?\"\n\nJustin had a solution for that, \"Sky!\"\n\nThe hawk was there too, \"Yes, Justin?\"\n\nThe blue jay grinned, \"I'll want you with us at council, we do need another warrior's perspective on this. \u0026nbsp;And do you think your friends won't mind being made egg-sitters for the day?\"\n\nSky puffed his plumage proudly to be included as an adult for once, \"I will be proud to stand with you, Justin! \u0026nbsp;And my friends will gladly watch over your child and Maureen's while we are away.\"\n\nEach of the remaining five looked at each other while one asked, \"We will?\"\n\nThen Justin saw the tall cobra standing among his friends, \"And I assume you are Javin.\"\n\nThe cobra nodded, \"I am.\"\n\nJustin proudly shook the hand of the serpent who took care of his wives while he was away. \u0026nbsp;\"I would like you to join our council too.\"\n\nJavin's hood spread out as he filled with pride, \"Oh, I will gladly.\"\n\nJustin turned to Nestor, \"Then it's settled, I have my council already. \u0026nbsp;You get the elders and we will have our meeting, Nestor.\"\n\nChief Nestor chuckled at the blue jay's quick thinking, \"You are a shrewd one, Justin.\"\n\nJustin playfully poked his new friend in the ribs, \"It takes one to know one, Nestor.\"\n\nThe eagle swallowed his pride, \"Yes...\"\n\n...\n\nIt wasn't but minutes later that the group had convened in the new town hall.\n\nThe council of twelve elder birds who each earned their place through years of proud service as warriors sat around a great fire with Nestor and the shaman at the front.\n\nJustin and his group came in and they chose seats around the fire.\n\nThe elders all looked at the diverse group joining them, most seemed interested, others had to voice their opinions on the mammals and the reptile.\n\nAn old pigeon spoke, \"We have never had mammals or serpents in our council before, not to mention females.\" He looked upon Alice and Maureen especially. \u0026nbsp;The dirty old pervert seemed mesmerized by their breasts, hidden behind a shirt and shawl respectively.\n\nA council bird beside him shook the pigeon.\n\nHe shook his head, \"Urgh! \u0026nbsp;Right! \u0026nbsp;Well, if these people have so earned their rights to sit with us, then I am interested in hearing what they have to say.\"\n\nNestor spoke, \"Justin! \u0026nbsp;You are the main reason we are here. \u0026nbsp;I grant you permission to have the first words.\"\n\nJustin nodded, \"Council members, I am sure many of you remember me. \u0026nbsp;It has been months since the last time I stood with you wise elders, since we also lost our Chief Gregor.\"\n\nOne council member spoke, \"So Gregor is dead?\"\n\nOrion spoke, \"I saw him myself. \u0026nbsp;He died with the wolf chief, both tragic victims in a misguided attack orchestrated by our Nestor.\" \u0026nbsp;He glared at the eagle not about to let the chief forget what had happened.\n\nThe elders spoke among each other before the pigeon said, \"This is a serious allegation you place on Nestor, Orion.\"\n\nThe eagle sighed, \"And unfortunately, my councilmen... What Orion says is true. \u0026nbsp;I did not earn my seat here as your chief. \u0026nbsp;I stole it by murdering my father the best way I could think of. \u0026nbsp;I, my cousin, Vera, and my lover, Feroz, we planned this. \u0026nbsp;I had one of our scouts murder his companion and then say that it was the wolves.\"\n\nThe elders all rose their heads in shock as the once proud eagle confessed to them.\n\nNestor continued, \"Then, I convinced Father to send me. \u0026nbsp;I went with Vera and Feroz. \u0026nbsp;We killed the wolf tribe's prince with our arrows so the wolves would want to fight us.\" \u0026nbsp;He put his hand on the eyepatch he wore and he took it off to show everyone the vacant socket that sat there now.\n\nIrving saw and had to hold his gut.\n\nNestor threw the rag into the fire before speaking, \"To further convince my Father and our people of the wolf tribe's treachery... \u0026nbsp;We mutilated our own bodies. \u0026nbsp;Vera cut off her own hand, Feroz slashed his own throat and took away his voice, then I took out my own eye, because injuries can buy sympathy.\"\n\nThe elders all looked at each other.\n\nNestor kept talking, \"Then, as your new chief, I was able to implement my changes. \u0026nbsp;I brought prostitution to our community so the mammals would bring their gold. \u0026nbsp;It was a selfish plan, I wanted the gold for myself... Then I saw the good it was doing for our community. \u0026nbsp;You all have seen what my lie has brought us. \u0026nbsp;We have prospered, our village has grown, we are not just a bird village, but now a town of reptiles and mammals as well. \u0026nbsp;And when Justin first came to me and disputed my plan... We've never had to punish a leader. \u0026nbsp;You will be punished!\"\n\nKali was in complete disbelief at all that had transpired. \u0026nbsp;She'd truly expected Nestor to attempt to cover himself, but he had just said everything.\n\nSky was in disbelief as well. \u0026nbsp;He knew what Nestor had done was wrong, but he had no idea how deep it went.\n\nNestor removed his headdress and he wiped off his tribal markings which had denoted him as chief of this village, \"I am fully prepared to face any punishment the council will have for me. \u0026nbsp;If I am put to death, I accept my fate.\"\n\nOne old falcon spoke, \"Your crimes are dire and any citizen would have certainly faced death for this, but you are beloved, you are a chief, the people will not understand.\"\n\nThe sparrow spoke, \"We will not execute you... But you will face recompense for your crimes, Nestor. \u0026nbsp;Then we must elect a new chief since the family line is now broken.\"\n\nNestor nodded, \"That won't be necessary, I want my final, good decision as chief to be in choosing a good chief to take my place.\" \u0026nbsp;He turned to Justin, \"Justin, will you-\"\n\nJustin shook his head, \"As much an honor as it would be, I already have my own duties as a husband and father, duties which I have been able to attend to due to my absence. \u0026nbsp;But, I agree, we should select a chief.\"\n\nSky sat up, fully expecting to be chosen.\n\nJustin sat up straight and looked at each of the elders, then to each of his friends, and finally to Javin. \u0026nbsp;\"Javin, I've only known you for a little while, but from what I hear, the people here are enamored with you.\"\n\nNestor saw where he was going, \"They are. \u0026nbsp;I have seen how they flock to you, Javin. \u0026nbsp;You have taught our people how to farm. \u0026nbsp;You have taught us how to build our better homes. \u0026nbsp;You have taught us all how to be more self-sufficient so we need not focus all our energy on gathering riches from travelers. \u0026nbsp;Javin...
