As the miles pass by  
I look down at your pictures and want to cry  
When I talk to you on the phone   
All I can think about is coming home  
But that's the price I pay out here on the lonesome road   
It's hard to explain that daddy has a job to do  
I have to deliver this freight on time so I can send money to you   
But that's the price I pay out here on this lonesome road   
When you grow up you will understand...when you are troading this path alone too.....
