{"sf1_id":984569,"sf2_id":"lmXpV4ym","title":"Zero Hour: the Meth Lab","author":"Albus Kane","words":685,"posted_at":"2016-04-10T15:35:00.000Z","tags":["Action","Story","Story Series","Wolf"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/984569-zero-hour-the-meth-lab","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/s/lmXpV4ym","image_url":"https://cdn.sofurryfiles.com/submissions/thumbnails/69/0e/690e6464-c366-44ec-814e-581621286a6f","description":"#2 of Zero Hour\n\nWolfy raids a meth lab run by quite a diverse team","content":"[REDACTED], AKA WOLFY:\u0026nbsp;\n\nI was told exactly what my mission was well before it started. \u0026nbsp;I was going to raid a meth lab on the outskirts of Los Angeles, set up in an abandoned apartment building. \u0026nbsp;I knew the equipment to pack by instinct alone. \u0026nbsp;That was because we were clearly dealing with close-quarters combat with a lot of enemy units and only me to fight them. \u0026nbsp;I packed two 30-caliber magnums with automatic and semi-automatic fire settings. \u0026nbsp;I packed two semi-automatic 12-gauge shotguns that could be wielded as pistols. \u0026nbsp;I packed a semi-automatic 50-caliber rifle, 4 flashbang grenades, 12 miniature grenades and 3 stem cell syringes. \u0026nbsp;At roughly 2200 hours, I was deployed. \u0026nbsp;Just before entering the building, a nearby civilian almost gave away my position by trying to start a conversation with me. \u0026nbsp;I informed him that this is not a safe place for civilians, and he left willingly with little debate.\n\nI entered by breaching the fire exit. \u0026nbsp;It had been reinforced with several new locking mechanisms, but luckily, my suit's stronger than the door. \u0026nbsp;I was immediately faced with four Geckos. \u0026nbsp;They kept running and climbing on the walls and ceiling to make it harder to hit them, and to get better vantage points to shoot at me. \u0026nbsp;Luckily, their eyes are rather sensitive, so I used my first flashbang, making sure to close my eyes. \u0026nbsp;Then I broke all four of their necks within a matter of seconds. \u0026nbsp;As I made my way to the staircase leading to the floor that the meth lab was on, I encountered some more interference. \u0026nbsp;The first enemy I encountered after the Geckos was a Bull. \u0026nbsp;I used various insults go goad him into charging, did a front flip, grabbed onto his horns, and let go right after the strength of his charge broke his neck. \u0026nbsp;Then I encountered several Kangaroos. \u0026nbsp;They had their own martial arts style that revolved around acrobatics and powerful kicks. \u0026nbsp;They tried to knock me to the ground, but multiple times, I dodged to the side, and bent their legs forward, breaking them at the knee. \u0026nbsp;Then I finished them off with rounds from my pistol.\n\nOn my way up the stairs, I met some resistance from three snakes. \u0026nbsp;They were next to impossible to score any hits on, even slithering all over my body as I tried to punch and kick them off. \u0026nbsp;Luckily, they kept going for my head and neck, and I killed them all with quick, easy headshots. \u0026nbsp;Then I got up to the floor that the lab was on, and was met by a Porcupine with light armor that had holes in it for the spines. \u0026nbsp;I knew that ordinary melees weren't an option, and firearms might not be enough, so I used a miniature grenade on him. \u0026nbsp;His body was scattered into pieces by the blast. \u0026nbsp;That got the attention of several of their remaining guards. \u0026nbsp;Two of them were rabbits, jumping and dodging around to make it difficult to hit them. \u0026nbsp;I used my second flashbang. \u0026nbsp;I went for the two bunnies first, snapping their necks. \u0026nbsp;There was one guard that was unaffected, a Mole. \u0026nbsp;When he charged at me, I fired my rifle. \u0026nbsp;Two shots in the chest, and one in the head. \u0026nbsp;The other five, all Foxes and Wolves, I took out with single headshots with the rifle.\n\nThen I breached the door to the meth lab, and immediately used my third flashbang. \u0026nbsp;That gave me the time to kill the remaining guards, as well as some of the technicians that tried to defend the lab alongside the guards. \u0026nbsp;I used five more miniature grenades to destroy all the equipment, and proceeded to incapacitate and apprehend the surviving technicians. \u0026nbsp;I escorted them out of the building. \u0026nbsp;I was later informed that they were also manufacturing Night Howler poison on the orders of a terrorist hate group known as the Protectors of Sexual Purity, or PSP. \u0026nbsp;They planned to poison the water in several relatively\u0026nbsp;LGBT-friendly neighborhoods in LA. \u0026nbsp;I had a feeling that my next mission would be to apprehend them.\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Zero Hour","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/983612-zero-hour-the-scarlet-freighter.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/988404-zero-hour-hostage-situation.json"}}
