# My Secret Colors

something I whipped up this morning. I'm aware that it's not the best, but here you go. Enjoy :)

_I'm caged, yet free to roam the world_

_I hide my colors underneath a cold shade of grey_

_No one knows_

_It's hard to blend in when you're me_

_It hates us_

_The monster with a million heads_

_Book in one hand and our colors in the other, defaced with a red slash_

_It's everywhere, watching, hating_

_Wishing we would be gone_

_However, the monster must be very blind_

_Committing crimes just out of hate_

_Hurting us_

_We're people too_

_We walk like the monster and live our everyday lives like it_

_We have struggles too_

_Some that it would never understand_

_All it wants is for us to be the same as them_

_All we want is acceptance_

_Who doesn't?_

_Luckily, the Bald Eagle has taken steps for us_

_Forward_

_It's what most have been excited about_

_With the mighty gavel of the Court, the Eagle stabbed the monster_

_It screams_

_Now our colors our spreading faster than before_
