But as with all poems the literal meaning is drastically different from the figurative one.\nEnjoy!","content":" **\"Spaces.\"**\n\nThere's so much space between my prince and I.\n\nWhy did he have to leave?\n\nUnable to look him in the eye.\n\nHeart in hand, shouting from my sleeve.\n\n\"You must go to him!\"\n\n\"I can't he's much too far.\"\n\n\"You must be with him!\"\n\n\"I can't he's much too far.\"\n\nI remember his tender voice, pleading from down there.\n\n\"Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair\"\n\nMother knew best. No.\n\nI knew what was best.\n\nThis place is a musty cellar.\n\nIt's not a safe house, or a golden haven.\n\nIt's a prison, rough rocks, and the smell of cedar.\n\nMother doesn't know best.\n\nI stare at the green glass window, covered in rain.\n\nWould the spaces between my fingers ever be full again?\n\nMost nights I lie awake, hoping mother would care.\n\nWishing I wasn't so stubborn, and had let down my hair.\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
