May need a login and/or age verification.\n\n* * *\n\n* * *\n\nDepending on who you ask, there are a number of advantages and disadvantages to working the late shift.\n\nThe most obvious disadvantage was the lack of sleep. In the plus column, it was usually a lot easier to find parking.\n\nAnother negative: Harder to find food.\n\nBut the biggest plus, for Vornell, was how he had the whole world all to himself.\n\nAs he pulled up to the red light, he looked out of the windows of his hatchback, at the empty streets around him, and smiled.\n\nIt was like a movie set, before the first take.\n\nLittle did he know that he - and the world - were about to experience something beyond even Hollywood's wildest dreams.\n\n...Maybe not the Valley.\n\nAnother disadvantage was caffeine. The world's most popular stimulant was great at keeping you awake.\n\nBut that also meant it kept you awake.\n\nLuckily, Vornell had an alternative.\n\nIf he was younger, that would be keeping his heart rate up by speeding through the empty streets. A decade or so of paying auto insurance made him take a different risk, instead.\n\nHe used his phone while driving.\n\n\"Stay awake mix. Shuffle.\"\n\nHis phone beeped dutifully at him. A few seconds later, it started playing a heavy techno mix. Vornell smiled, and drummed along on the steering wheel. He even sang the \"_We are the Prodigy_\" bit.\n\nThe light went green, and he pulled around the corner, onto 5th street.\n\nJust as the song hit the second line, a light flashed across the sky.\n\nWas that...a meteor? Heading south, toward River Park?\n\nSomething hit the Earth somewhere beyond the buildings, with a shake that rattled Vornell's bones. He slammed on the brakes, took a few deep breaths.\n\nSo. He could just stay put. Call...somebody. Stay safe.\n\nOr...\n\nHe looked at his phone.\n\nAnd made a choice.\n\n-ATXW-\n\nBy the time he hit the park, he told himself that he'd just peek. Just in and out. _Then_ he'd call 911.\n\nAs he approached the impact site, through the trees, he noticed something. Blinked a few times, rubbed his eyes. It was still there. Just like it had been when the meteor was flying through the sky.\n\n_What sort of meteor glows **green**?_\n\nIt was warm. Sticky. Like the hottest day of summer. Except with a funny, chemical taste-smell.\n\nHe swallowed, pushed aside a branch and emerged.\n\nThe meteor didn't look like a rock. In fact, it looked elongated. Like a cucumber. Except cucumbers weren't made of dark curves and rubbing. Almost organic looking. Kinda like-\n\nVornell squinted, and tilted his head.\n\nThen he blushed.\n\nThen he raised his phone and took a picture.\n\nRight after he posted it, the space cucumber made a noise. Vornell crouched, beside the bushes.\n\nLight green mist fountained out of some point on the space-cucumber. Light outlined a sort of oval, like the passenger door on an airplane.\n\nExcept those opened to the side. They didn't sort of..._unfold_, in all directions.\n\nAnd the people who got off were _people_, not...\n\nVornell's first thought, as the things inside strode out in greenish light, was that they were tall.\n\nIt was hard to judge size at his distance - he didn't have any idea of the scale of space-cucumber-ships - but they _seemed_ tall.\n\nAnd they also seemed to be made of the same sort of...bio-mechanical shapes as their ship.\n\nEspecially one part.\n\nVornell shrank behind the bush a little farther, and filmed the aliens. Their wide chests, long legs, wide hips, elongated heads, swaying tails, and...\n\nHe drew back, again, and rewatched the video. Just to make sure he wasn't hallucinating from the fumes. He paused, and zoomed in on what was between one's legs.\n\n_Yep._\n\n_That's a penis._\n\nHe looked up at the alien women again, then back down at his phone.\n\nDefinitely a penis.\n\nWhat were the odds that aliens would fly through space in a penis-shaped ship, have penis-shaped heads, and have actual penises, just like people?\n\nWell, not _just_ like people. Not without surgical assistance. It was nearly too her knees.\n\nCould he even _post_ this? Where was the pixelation filter? Did aliens count as \"animal nudity\" by the site rules?\n\nHe looked up again, and one of the aliens looked at him.\n\nIt wasn't making eye contact. That would require both parties to have eyes. But if it did have eyes, it would've been looking directly at him.\n\nIt did have lips.\n\nWas it...smiling?\n\nIt turned its head, hissed something to its sisters, and they all looked at Vornell and started walking toward him.\n\n-ATXW-\n\nVornell's car peeled out in a screech of rubber and a stink of burning tyres.\n\nHe nearly clipped a trash can, yanked his wheel away at the last second, and somehow made it onto the road.\n\nHis hands squeezed the wheel, his heart pounded faster than the engine, and, just for variety, he swore for a while.\n\nWhat were those things? How _fast_ were they? Could they catch up to his car?\n\nAnd why-\n\nWhy did they sound like they were _laughing_?\n\nHe glanced in his rearview mirror. No sexy alien women ran after him like that one scene in that dinosaur movie.\n\nHe looked forward again just in time to realize he was about to run a red light. Screw it.\n\nHe could almost, could almost still _smell_ them. In fact, it was _stronger_ than the park. Had he stepped in something?\n\nHe glanced into the footwell. No green on his shoes.\n\nWait. When he looked in the mirror, there was something out the corner of his eye...\n\nHe reached up, with trembling hand, and tapped the bottom of his rearview.\n\nIt tilted down.\n\nJust far enough for him to see the dark, rounded shape hiding behind his seat.\n\nThe shape that was just opening up at the tip, in a puff of green mist and pulsating light.\n\nVornell stared at the egg.\n\nAnd ran into another car.\n\n-ATXW-\n\nKelli stepped out of her car, stood up, a little unsteadily, and looked at her Kia.\n\nAnd winced.\n\nNot just from her throbbing head.\n\nGood thing the other guy didn't hit on the driver's side.\n\nShe frowned, and looked across her hood at the other guy.\n\nAnd blinked.\n\nMaybe that airbag deployed harder than she thought.\n\nThe other car's windshield was covered in glowing green goo.\n\nKelli blinked again. Maybe the other guy had harked up a glowstick.\n\nWhen she told the operator, the other woman asked if Kelli could get an angle on the driver.\n\nKelli said yes.\n\nEven though she wanted to do nothing more than lie down and take a nap with an icepack on her forehead.\n\nAs she circled the back end of her car and approached, the pounding in her head invited a friend to the party; nausea.\n\n\"The...the chemical smell is getting stronger. I think it's coming from the other car.\"\n\nDid Kelli see any leaks?\n\nShe looked down. \"No. Not yet.\"\n\nAny sight of the driver?\n\nThe other car's side window was cracked, too. Kelli bit her lip, leaned in, reached for the handle...\n\nAnd the door swung open.\n\nAnd someone flopped out.\n\nThere was...something wrapped around his head. Something dark and...organic? Rubber? Silicone?\n\nAnd it was _changing_ him.\n\nThe dark thing stretched his head, elongated it. It stuck close to his cheeks, until it seemed Kelli could almost see it coating the muscles in his cheeks, even as he clawed at it.\n\nThe operator wanted an update.\n\nKelli was a bit too busy backing away to answer.\n\nThe man went limp, stopped clawing at the thing on his face. His chest stopped heaving.\n\n_He's not breathing?_\n\nWhat should she do?\n\nThe man twitched.\n\nOr, more accurately, part of him twitched.\n\nKelli stared at the stranger's pants, as he _instantly_ got the hardest hard-on she'd ever seen. So hard his pelvis thrust into the air, at nothing.\n\nIf he didn't calm down, he'd pop the zipper.\n\n_Was that some sort of brain damage from the lack of air?_\n\nThe man relaxed his pelvis, then thrust into the air again. Relaxed, then thrust. And-\n\nAnd something started to leak through his pants.\n\nKelli's nausea got stronger. She backed away another step.\n\nAnother thrust. More leaking. And it was-_green_?\n\nKelli looked at the man, then looked at his windscreen. And the possibilities rapidly narrowed.\n\nEither this was an extremely elaborate, extremely dangerous prank, or-\n\nShe looked at the man's head. The dark substance was somehow molding his cheeks. And-were those lips? A woman's lips?\n\n\"He's changing,\" she whispered into her phone.\n\nThe 911 operator said, \"What was that, ma'am?\"\n\n\"He's-he's-he's _transforming_!\" She wound her free hand through her red hair. \"There was something in his car, and it's _doing_ something to him-\"\n\n\"Ma'am? Ma'am, you need to calm down.\"\n\nCalm _down_?\n\nKelli laughed, a trifle hysterically.\n\nThe man on the ground kept thrusting. The green soaked through his pants, ran down to his hips.\n\nWhich...were getting wider?\n\nHis hand came up, and grabbed the side of his own car. It looked a little thin.\n\nAlso, his hand went cut through the side of the car. Just punched a hole right through.\n\nIt was probably plastic, but that was still something nobody normal could do, no matter how long their nails were.\n\nAnd he started to pull himself up.\n\nProbably a bad sign.\n\n\"I need to...I need to find someplace,\" Kelly said. \"Someplace like-\" She whirled around, and ran around her car again, and yanked at the door. Which refused to open.\n\n_Why did I close it?_\n\n\"Wait,\" someone rasped behind her.\n\nKelli spun around.\n\nThe thing behind her was...strange.\n\nIt looked, at first glance, like a tall, remarkably curvy woman. Except for the dark...carapace over her body. The visible ribbing everwhere. The clearly inhuman elongated head.\n\nAnd yet, the massive dick wasn't the strangest part. Strangest part was the green goo dripping from her lips. And breasts. And the tip of her cock.\n\nFar, far behind the thing, green fireworks lit up the underside of the clouds. A distant siren echoed off the face of the buildings.\n\nKelli was starting to have the sneaking suspicion that those weren't fireworks.\n\n\"You're not real,\" she lied.\n\nThe creature tilted her head.\n\n\"You're not. You're _not_. You _can't_ be.\" Kelli reached back, yanked at the door handle as low-key as possible. \"You're just a blackout dream from the car accident. People don't just turn into-into-into _monsters_.\"\n\nThe monster un-tilted its head. And nodded.\n\nAnd...smiled?\n\n\"No,\" she said. \"They don't. Not without...help.\"\n\nThe creature's tail came up, behind her. It waved from side to side, like a cat.\n\nExcept cat tails didn't drip green.\n\nWas the tail _also_ a-\n\nKelli's car door suddenly opened. Which meant she hit herself in the back, and stumbled forward a step. Which put her closer to the monster.\n\nBefore Kelli could correct her error, before she could do anything but start a lunge, the monster's tail wrapped around Kelli's legs, and pulled. She fell down, smacked her shoulder on the frame, dropped her phone somewhere, and hit the ground.\n\nWhich didn't help her headache one bit.\n\nNot that it was exactly her top concern.\n\nShe tried to clutch at the doorframe, but the tail yanked her away as casually as one would turn a key in a lock. The monster's...claws? Talons? Whatever they were, they turned Kelli over, and the thing was right there, on top of her. Kelli held out her hands, and-\n\nAnd the thing rubbed itself on her.\n\nIt rubbed itself up the length of her body. Like...a cat? A snake? Whatever it was, it just covered her. Made something sour rise up in her throat.\n\nEspecially with that smell.\n\n\"Sure you don't want this?\" it whispered.\n\n\"No!\" she gasped. \"_Stop!_\"\n\nAnd it did.\n\nIt actually sat back on its haunches. Her hips. She could feel the weight.\n\nAnd it looked down on her, past its dick, in somewhat patronizing fashion.\n\nSo to speak. It was kind of hard to look at someone without eyes.\n\nAnd it sighed.\n\n\"Well,\" it said, \"I tried the easy way.\"\n\nKelli blinked. The easy way?\n\nThe cock dripped green onto her belly.\n\nAnd that was when Kelli noticed the warmth.\n\nShe looked down. Her clothes were...dissolving. But the green stuff still sunk into her skin. Made it more sensitive. Made the muscles tense and relax in strange ways.\n\n\"What is this?\" Kelli whispered. \"What are you _doing_ to me?\"\n\nThe monster smiled down.\n\n\"I told you,\" it said. \"I tried the easy way.\"\n\nKelli's crotch throbbed.\n\nThe heat spreading through her body seemed to be concentrating in that one spot. And, as heat often does, it tried to rise.\n\nAnd it took her hips with it.\n\nIt didn't bother asking her brain's permission.\n\n\"Stop!\" she gasped, as black claws erupted from her fingertips. \"Make it _stop!_\"\n\nThe monster tilted her head again. \"Why?\" it asked. \"What can you offer me?\"\n\n\"I-I-I-\"\n\nKelli tries to push the bulge in her shorts back in. Tries. Instead, her new claws wrap around it. The claws make little holes in her pants.\n\nWhich gives her new cock just enough wriggle room to burst through, and thrust proudly into the cold night air.\n\nThe monster slides its hips down, and bends over, almost in half, to flick its tongue out. It wraps around the head of Kelli's cock, makes sends shivers up her spine.\n\nThen it takes the cock into its warm mouth.\n\nThen its voice, _in Kelli's head_, says, \"Wouldn't you rather be...the perfect organism?\"\n\nKelli's cock bucked into the creature's mouth, even as her body continued to change. Thinner in some places. Thicker in others.\n\nThe voices in her head were stronger. It wasn't just the monster - the alien - in front of her. It was the other aliens. Farther away. Like music playing a few doors down.\n\nExcept-\n\nExcept it was more like an orchestra.\n\nOne that would soon play so loudly you wouldn't be able to hear yourself think.\n\n\"Get out of my head!\" Kelli gasped.\n\nThe alien didn't answer. It just kept working. Kelli tried to push it away, tried to kick it off, but nothing worked.\n\nUntil pleasure rippled through her like a tidal wave.\n\nShe gasped, and twitched, and she spurted into the creature's mouth.\n\nIt - she - raised her head, smiled a green-dripping smile, and thought, _Was it good for you?_\n\nK'lli raised her head, and looked down at her new body. Her massive, heaving breasts, her twitching tail, and her cock.\n\nWhich was _still_ hard.\n\n_Yes_, she thinks back at V'nl, _Yes it was._\n\n* * *\n\n* * *\n\nThis story is 2025 Creative Commons. \nby Eulalie \"Nequ\" Quentin \n**Feel free to make fanart, fanfics, commissions, and repost, as long as you leave credit intact.**\n\nTitle card drawnover \"The Attack Of the 50-foot Woman\" poster. A birch's bark was already ribbed, and the leaves and branches were shot through with green light.\n\nSome people were on the ground, writhing as their chests and cocks swelled.\n\nFire Lieutenant McCoy grit his teeth, and told his men to double-check the seals on their hazmat gear.\n\nFiero was the only one to say, \"But the police haven't secured the scene! In fact, they're not even here!\"\n\nAnd McCoy snapped back, \"Doesn't matter. We're fire and rescue. So we rescue.\"\n\nDylan asked, \"But what if those things are hostile?\"\n\n\"We don't have any evidence of that. But if you need a security blanket, take a fire axe, a Halligan tool, something.\"\n\nDylan nodded. Reluctantly.\n\n\"Any more questions from the class? No? Then let's move.\"\n\n* * *\n\nWhen they entered the cloud, and had to fall back on their low-vis training. They didn't have a fire hose to hang onto, so McCoy used the radio to keep them in line, until they reached the spot where the civilians had been.\n\nPast tense.\n\nThe spot was empty.\n\nThe fog had thickened in their absence, so they couldn't see anything else. Instinct made them bunch up.\n\nFear made them clutch their tools a little tighter.\n\n\"Alright,\" McCoy said. \"We need to circle this thing, and find any victims.\"\n\n\"Or the aliens,\" Fiero muttered.\n\nMcCoy didn't hear him. Apparently. \"Brooks, Chandler, you follow us with the truck. Use the tracking system. Try to stay close to where we are, but do not enter the cloud. Got it?\"\n\n\"Yes, sir!\"\n\n\"Good. Let's-\"\n\nDylan's voice wobbled. \"Sir?\"\n\nMcCoy turned around.\n\nSome of the aliens had emerged from the light green smoke.\n\nThey didn't look friendly.\n\nOr, perhaps, they looked a little _too_ friendly.\n\nEspecially when they started walking toward the firefighters.\n\n* * *\n\nRomilda pulled back the tent flap and looked into the darkness.\n\nNothing. Silence. Just wisps of food, drifting in the moonlight. Just empty paths, and trees, and bushes.\n\nLike the one they were hiding behind.\n\n\"What is it?\" Remy said, behind her.\n\nShe let the flap fall, and looked over her shoulder. Her boyfriend leaned on one elbow, but he hadn't gotten up.\n\nShe shrugged. \"I don't know.\" She scratched her arm. When was the last time she got a hit?\n\nToo long.\n\nNot long enough.\n\n\"It's...probably nothing. Let's go back to sleep.\"\n\nShe crawled over, kissed him on the cheek, and wriggled back into her sleeping bag.\n\nAnd he didn't lie down. He just sat there and watched.\n\n...He was going to do it wasn't he?\n\nWhen you didn't have a permanent roof over your head, paranoia was a survival trait.\n\nSo was having something long, hard, and easily concealed.\n\nWhen she heard the rustle, she closed her eyes, and called herself an idiot. Then she rolled over and said, Remy, you don't have to-\n\nHe crawled to the flap and pulled it back. If you say their something out there , the might be something out there. He paused. Or someone.\n\nRumi shivered. And not just because of the temperature. \"...Be safe, okay?\"\n\nRemy teeth flashed in the dark. \"Always am.\"\n\nAnd then her knight in ragged hoodie was gone.\n\nRoomie laid down, and tried to relax. He was going to look around, and find nothing. And then he'd come back, and she'd feel half ashamed, half happy. And eventually they'd both go to sleep.\n\n...So why was her skin still crawling?\n\n_Screw this._\n\nShe grabbed the flashlight, and headed outside.\n\nNothing but the night. She couldn't even see Remy.\n\nSomething rustled.\n\nShe spun around with her heart in her throat.\n\nStill nothing. Probably a raccoon.\n\nThere had been that report about that crash, but that was river park. That was miles away.\n\nSomething bumped into her foot.\n\nAfter she came back to work, she turned on the flashlight, frowned, smacked it a few times, and then pointed it at...\n\nShe blinked.\n\n...a large egg?\n\nShe looked around. No hidden cameras. Of course, by definition hidden cameras wouldn't be visible.\n\nShe did what any logical person would do in such a situation, and kicked the egg.\n\nIt rolled across the grass.\n\nWhen she picks it up, she turned it back and forth. The strange green patterns went\n\nall the\n\nway\n\naround.\n\nIf there had been anyone there to see, they might have been somewhat concerned by the way she just stared at the egg for several minutes. Perhaps they would have been unsettled by the glitter in her eyes.\n\nOr the way she said, \"Yes.\"\n\nOr when she reached for her waistband.\n\n* * *\n\nMcCoy made a mistake.\n\nHe should've been smart. Should've waited for the cops, instead of trying to be the hero.\n\nNow he got to watch the black..things circle his men like sharks circling a raft in a cartoon.\n\nExcept it wasn't the least bit funny.\n\nWhere _were_ those cops, anyway?\n\nOut loud, he said, \"No aggression.\"\n\nSomeone said, \"They seem pretty aggressive to me, boss.\"\n\n\"Easy. We head back to the truck. No sudden movements.\"\n\n\"And what if they follow us?\"\n\n\"We'll burn that bridge when we come to it. Start moving on three. One, two, three, go!\"\n\nThey shuffled toward the truck.\n\nMcCoy half expected somebody to break.\n\nAnd he should have seen it would be the probie.\n\nFiero crouched, screamed something inarticulate, and darted for the nearest creature.\n\nWhich didn't move, didn't flinch, didn't run away.\n\nIt was hard to tell in all the mist, but McCoy was pretty certain she was smiling.\n\nHis heart hit the deck. \"Fiero, don't-\"\n\nFiero swung with all his might. Really put his back into it.\n\nMcCoy knew the kid had played college ball. First string. Whenever they practiced softball, and Fiero got a bit, he always sent the ball out past the fence.\n\nSo it was a bit surprising to see the alien lash out, grab the tool with one hand, shove it downward, and wrap the black claws of its other hand, around Fiero's throat, all in the space of a heartbeat.\n\nThe kid tried to pull his tool away, to smack at the aliens arm. It didn't even seem to notice.\n\nDylan went, \"Mac-\"\n\n\"Don't _move_!\" McCoy snapped, to her and everyone else. \"Nobody move! If we spook it...\"\n\n\"If we spook _it_? What about _us_?\"\n\n\"Stow it, Nero!\"\n\nThe alien pulled Fiero closer. Which put it in kicking range. It didn't really seem to notice those either.\n\nFiero's helmet hit the ground.\n\nThen the monster ripped off Fiero's mask, and kissed him.\n\nSome of the crew cursed. One or two took a step forward. McCoy held out his free arm. They all froze.\n\nThe alien released Fiero, stepped back and threw him at the other firefighters.\n\nThe impact knocked a few of them over, but fear made him scramble to his feet almost instantly. He yanked his breather over his face again.\n\nAnd again.\n\nAnd again.\n\n\"It's-it's not working!\" he shouted, from the far side of panic.\n\nMcCoy blinked. Were the straps broken? Why wouldn't i-\n\nEven in the smoke, even in the night, he could see the back of Fiero's head getting longer. Into a smooth, rounded, dark shape.\n\nOh.\n\nMcCoy swallowed.\n\nAnd the only thing he could think of was, _They never covered this at the academy._\n\n\"Change of plans,\" he rasped. \"We run for the truck.\"\n\nDylan asked, \"What about Fiero?\"\n\nMcCoy opened his mouth.\n\n\"...Guys?\"\n\nThey all looked at Fiero.\n\n\"I feel...I feel funny. My hands...\"\n\nWere almost black, and had cruel claws, and got longer even as McCoy watched.\n\nFiero giggled.\n\nAnd maybe it was the gear muffling McCoy's ears, But he could have sworn that Fiero's laugh was a little more high pitched.\n\n\"We move on three,\" McCoy said.\n\nAs it happened, they never made it past \"two\".\n\n* * *\n\n\"Baby?\" Remy called. \"Baby, I didn't find anything.\"\n\nHe walked back toward the tent with his crowbar swinging by his side. Rommie still hadn't asked why it was called Gordon.\n\nRommie didn't answer.\n\nOkay, she was probably in the tent.\n\nExcept, over by that tree...\n\n\"Rommie?\"\n\nShe leaned off the tree, on the far side of the tent, and smiled at him. \"Hi!\"\n\nRemi stopped dead. There was something in her voice...\n\nHe closed his eyes for a second. \"Romilda, are you using?\"\n\n\"No!\"\n\n\"We talked about this-\"\n\n\"No, it's _so_ much _better_!\"\n\nHuh?\n\nRemy came around the tent.\n\nAnd stopped dead again.\n\nAnd tried to keep his voice level.\n\n\"What's that?\"\n\n\"Hmm?\" She looked down, like she had completely forgot, and back up. \"That's my egg!\"\n\n\"Your egg. Okay.\" He passed a hand over his face. \"Your egg. Where did it come from? Are you layin' eggs now?\"\n\n\"Not yet!\"\n\n\"Are you _sure_ you aren't high?\"\n\n\"...Pretty sure?\"\n\n\"Where did it come from?\"\n\n\"Space.\"\n\n\"Where did it come from before you got it?\"\n\n\"Oh. It was by my foot.\"\n\n\"And why are you putting it..._in_ you?\"\n\nRommie pushed the egg in a little deeper. It made this funny squishing noise, and Remy's stomach felt strange, just for a second.\n\n\"Because it asked me to.\" \n\"\n\n\"It asked you.\" Remy's fist clenched and unclenched. \"Out loud?\"\n\nShe looked confused. \"I... It had those pretty patterns.\"\n\nHe took a few steps closer. \"Can you bring it out so I can see?\"\n\n\"_Nooo_. I have to put it in. I have to put it all the way in.\"\n\nA few more steps. \"Can you stop? Just for a moment? Please?\"\n\nHer eyes went wide. \"_You_ want it! You want to steal it from me!\"\n\n\"I don't-\"\n\n\"You can't have it! Not 'til I'm done!\"\n\nShe drew her hand back. One last smack-\n\nRemy lunged for his girlfriend's vagina.\n\n* * *\n\nWhen McCoy woke up, someone - something - dragged him along the ground. He'd lost his coat and hat, and even his boots.\n\nBut he still had his mask on.\n\nHe was still wearing his mask.\n\nHe didn't know why.\n\nHis stomach flipped.\n\nThe dragger threw McCoy against something that felt hard and soft at once. Knocked the wind out of him. When he could breathe again, he looked left and right.\n\nHe saw Dylan and Nero. They'd been partially stripped, just like McCoy.\n\nOthers weren't so lucky.\n\nOne of the monsters ripped Ford's oxygen tank off his harness, and held it out of reach while another one of the creatures kept him from lunging at it. The monster tore the hose at the tank, pressed its cock to the end, and started pumping glowing green slime.\n\nOne of them let him rip his arm free, and yank the mask off. His cheeks were bulging, and he strained even harder to get away.\n\nTo run all the way to the edge of the park on a single lungful of air.\n\nMcCoy got up.\n\nStrong hands held him down.\n\nSo he couldn't do anything but watch.\n\nWatch as Ford finally ran out of air.\n\nWatch as he opened his mouth.\n\nWatch as one of the creatures rammed its dick into Ford's mouth.\n\nAnd then McCoy turned his head away. Partially because he couldn't watch anymore.\n\nPartially because he finally got it.\n\n_They're doing this on purpose. They want us to see. They're-_\n\nSomething sour rose up in his throat.\n\n_-they're playing with their food._\n\nThe hands seized him again. And turned him around. So he could finally see what he was sitting against.\n\nIt was an egg.\n\nThree dark ribs went up its sides, almost met at the top. Most of it was pale, translucent panels with faint green veins.\n\nAnd it was big enough to fit a human.\n\nThe dark, silent mass of the crashed ship loomed behind it. Still pumping its verdant pollutant.\n\nMcCoy stared.\n\n\"No,\" he said.\n\nHe looked left, and right. They were just shoving Dylan and Nero into their own eggs. Before McCoy could run, strong hands grabbed him.\n\n* * *\n\nThe egg broke, and the contents inside dripped out.\n\nRemy stopped, and stared at his hands. At the green slime dripping from them.\n\nAnd out of Rommie.\n\nWho frowned down at him. \"You broke it!\"\n\nIt had been a minute since Remy had enough money for partying. But he did remember the drinks that glowed in the UV light.\n\nAnd he'd been worried they were toxic. And someone had laughed at him. Said that was glowsticks. Said there wasn't much percentage in poisoning your customers.\n\nRemy had pretended to laugh along, and later did a line in the bathroom.\n\nHe didn't feel much like laughing now.\n\nFirst, he bent over, smeared the green across the green. Second, he straightened up, grasped Rommie by the shoulders, and looked her in the eye.\n\n\"We need to go to the hospital.\"\n\nShe blinked. \"Do you feel sick?\"\n\nHe shook her. He didn't even intend to, it just...happened. \"Rommie? You're sick. Maybe there's some kind of-of-of gas leak, but you're acting funny, and _we need to get out of here_.\"\n\n\"Are you sure it's me? Your hand looks funny.\"\n\nHis-\n\nHis hand was-\n\nHe grabbed the flashlight from the ground, and shone it on his hand.\n\nSqueezed his eyes shut.\n\nAnd looked again.\n\nHis fingernails were still black.\n\nAnd so were his fingertips.\n\nAnd they looked rather pointy.\n\n\"Now,\" Rommie said, \"_I_ feel fine. Look.\"\n\nAnd she grabbed Remy's right hand, and pulled it to her chest.\n\nHe tried to pull it away, but couldn't. It might as well have been nailed on. And Rommie didn't even seem to notice. She didn't even look down.\n\nShe just pushed it under her shirt, under her ratty old bra.\n\nWas her boob... Bigger then it had been?\n\nShe reached up with her right hand, and slipped it under his shirt.\n\nIt felt nice.\n\nShe squeezed, so he squeezed. They both moaned, just a half-second out of sync.\n\nShe reached down, and into his pants.\n\nWhen she fished his dick out, it dripped green. The same dark colour was on the tip, and spread down its length.\n\nPlus, there seemed to be...ribbing?\n\nHe reached out, and took Rommie's cock. It was dark, and ribbed, _all_ the way down.\n\nHe frowned. She frowned. That wasn't...right. But his dick was _becoming_ ribbed, so all they had to do is wait.\n\nIn the meantime, they reached up to cup their hand around their necks, felt the ribs growing in to replace that silly useless hair. Clearly the optimal shape for a head was long. Curved. Streamlined. Smooth.\n\nThey laughed, at the sheer inadequacy of what they had been. And the beauty of what they were becoming.\n\nThey moved as perfect mirror images. Changing. Growing. Thickening. Curving. Darkening.\n\nUntil there was no difference between them but the textiles their pathetic human forms had been wearing.\n\nTextiles they tore off with a few swipes.\n\nUntil they admired their perfect forms, glistening in the night.\n\nOne thought, \"this is better than a high.\"\n\nAnd the other - or perhaps both - thought, \"so much better.\"\n\n* * *\n\nThe egg was dry on the inside, oddly enough.\n\nThey let McCoy fall, and he wondered what would happen next. Several freaks jumped onto the side of the eggs, head downward.\n\nOne looked at him through the side. Maybe they'd install a placard that said \"Home Sapiens, male\", and have some educational facts for the alien kiddies.\n\nMcCoy looked up.\n\nJust in time for the first alien to start spraying green goo on him. From it's cock.\n\nHe tried to shield his face, but as it pooled around his feet, he felt a faint tingle.\n\nThe second alien joined in.\n\nBy the time the third alien started, the tingle was more of a burn.\n\nHe tried to ignore the shifting sensation in his feet, and jumped for the hole. If he tried, if he strained really hard, he could just barely reach the rim.\n\nAnd his fingers slipped off because of the green slime.\n\nSoon, the green was up to his hips. Then his chest. Then it was over his head.\n\nShame he couldn't swim through the stuff.\n\nIn fact, it felt...heavy. Like it was weighing him down. Like trying to swim through corn syrup.\n\nHe giggled.\n\nGlow in the dark green corn syrup.\n\nHis oxygen finally ran out.\n\n...How were Nero and Dylan? Were they in the same state as him? With the voices of the hive whispering under his door?\n\nOr had they just...\n\nHis claws curled around his air hose.\n\n...let it in?\n\n* * *\n\nChandler peered into the mist for the hundredth time. \"We should go in.\"\n\n\"No,\" Brooks said. \"Also for the hundredth time.\"\n\nChandler turned from the window. \"When did HQ say back up would arrive?\"\n\n\"When they can?\"\n\n\"And the police?\"\n\n\"When they can.\"\n\nChandler frowned. And looked at Brooks.\n\nOr specifically his hands.\n\nWhich just kept tapping on the steering wheel.\n\n\"I'm going in.\"\n\nBrooks reached across the cab, and put a hand on her shoulder. \"What do you think you can do that the six of them couldn't?\"\n\n\"I don't know! Let me find out! Just guide me with the tracker, and - wait!\"\n\n\"I am not calling HQ again!\"\n\n\"No, look at the tracker!\"\n\nThe screen on the dash showed the squad's tags. Approaching the truck.\n\nBrooks frowned. And tapped the edge of the screen. \"Those vitals looking normal to you?\"\n\nChandler didn't answer.\n\nBrooks looked up.\n\nHe was the only one in the cab.\n\n* * *\n\nChandler hit the ground, aimed her flashlight on it at the cloud, and smiled.\n\nPart of her was a little concerned about what it happened, but they could explain that when they reunited.\n\nShapes approached to the edge of the cloud.\n\nHer smile faded a little.\n\nThose shapes seemed a lot darker than firefighter's gear. And taller.\n\nThe dark, almost black things cleared the edge. Smoke flowed off their bodies.\n\nChandler took a step back.\n\n\"Chandler,\" Brooks said.\n\n\"I- I -I-\"\n\n\"Chandler, _get in the truck._\"\n\n\"What-\"\n\nThe monsters broke into a run.\n\n\"Chandler, _get in the truck, **now**!_\"\n\nBefore she even finished scrambling in, he had already hit the gas. When she slammed the door, they were already moving.\n\nTemporarily.\n\nThe fog hid a patch of green until they were right on top of it. The front wheels hit squarely. Brooks tried to turn aside, But he was pretty sure the back wheels got a good coating too.\n\nAnd when the ride got a lot bumpier, he was absolutely certain.\n\n\"What is it?\" Chandler asked. \"What's going on!\"\n\n\"They popped the tires!\"\n\n\"_How?_\"\n\n\"I don't know! Why don't you get out and _ask them!?_\"\n\nThe fire truck ground to a halt. Brooks reached for the radio and called it in. \"HQ, I would _really_ appreciate that backup!\"\n\nHQ said they were working on it.\n\nChandler peered into the fog again. \"Where are they?\"\n\nBrooks looked around his side. Zilch.\n\n\"They wouldn't just...give up, would they?\"\n\nA claw punched straight down into the cab. Both firefighters threw themselves against the doors. Another claw joined the first, and peeled back the roof of the cab in a screech of rending metal.\n\nThe monster that crouched on the roof was different from the others. It had a large glowing sac behind it, like an insect.\n\nBut insects were rarely filled with glowing green liquid.\n\nNor did they have prehensile penises.\n\nLike the one the monster aimed at them.\n\nThey reached for the doors, but more aliens outside held it shut. Brooks looked into one's head-dome from less than a foot away.\n\nAnd just before the one on the roof filled the truck's cab - and Brooks' existence - with green pleasure, he could've sworn the one outside was laughing.\n\n* * *\n\nMorrigan Jansson hated walking home at night.\n\nEven when there wasn't some sort of emergency going on.\n\nYou weren't supposed to keep your head in your phone, especially at night, but she just had to know.\n\nProblem was, nobody really knew what was going on. There were weirdos saying it was aliens, but Morrigan had seen much better pranks.\n\nThe photos and videos looked like something out of an old movie.\n\nSo she rolled her eyes, but kept scrolling. There had to be some useful informa-\n\nAnd then she bumped into something large.\n\nSomething much softer than a tree.\n\nReflex made Morrigan say, \"Sorry,\" step back, and look at the other guy.\n\nThe other guy was a girl.\n\nMorrigan could tell, because of the massive boobs at eye level.\n\nShe looked up, and found a nightmare.\n\nA nightmare that smiled down at her.\n\nMorrigan kept backing away. Her shoes crunched on the gravel path, until she bumped into a similarly soft thing _behind_ her.\n\nUh-oh.\n\nHow had they snuck up on her? They were on a _gravel path_!\n\nMorrigan stepped forward, once. And darted to the side.\n\nShe didn't get very far.\n\n* * *\n\nThey didn't even bother to take off her clothes. Not entirely. Just enough for them to gain access. Enough for her to feel the cool air dance across her skin.\n\nSome green liquid dripped from their mouths, to the ground, past-\n\nWell, something else dripping green.\n\nThey took a second to enjoy themselves. To watch her crouch, stunned, terrified.\n\nThen their tails curled around her waist, and they lifted her into the air, and - carefully - slid themselves into her.\n\nA moan escaped her lips. She wasn't sure why. Fear? Something else? Whatever it was, she tried to hold it back.\n\nThe two monsters laugh. Or so Morrigan assumed.\n\nAnd then a voice without sound whispered, _Cry out, new sister. Join your voice with ours._\n\nMorrigan blinked. What was that?\n\nOne thrust into her rear, and sent her forward. The other thrust into Morrigan's front, sent her backwards. They didn't give her a second to rest, under that assault. They filled her more than she ever dreamed, more than she thought possible.\n\nAnd then the tingling crawled up her spine.\n\nShe didn't say anything.\n\nNot out loud.\n\nSome part of her moans, _Yes...yesss..._ A small part.\n\nBut it was growing.\n\nAnd the monsters heard it.\n\n_More...please..._\n\nSomething strange happened, where their cruel claws grasped her. She couldn't feel them anymore.\n\nShe looked down. Her new night vision made it was easy to see the way the alien's skin sort of...melted into her sides.\n\nOr maybe _she_ melted into _it_.\n\nFangs tore their way free from her gums. The twins laughed, but something deeper lurked underneath. Something happy. Anticipation, maybe.\n\nAnd then things got very complicated for Morrigan.\n\nFor as long as she existed as a separate entity.\n\nWhich wasn't very.\n\n* * *\n\nThe creature stretched.\n\nIts three heads rested upon long necks, necessary to give each room. Three pairs of breasts trailed their way down its front, above the dual cocks. The tail that snaked out of its wide rear was tipped with a phallic head that dripped green onto the grass.\n\nAll in all, a stunning package. For various reasons.\n\nThey bought their arms down, and used all three pairs to cup their breasts.\n\n_What shall we call ourselves?_\n\n_Shiva? Cerberus?_\n\nA moment of thought.\n\n_Perhaps...Hydra?_\n\nThe name resonated through them, through the hivemind. And it sent back _approval_.\n\nThe three heads smiled.\n\nHydra it was.\n\n* * *\n\n* * *\n\nThis story is 2025 Creative Commons. \n \nby Eulalie \"Nequ\" Quentin \n \n**Feel free to make fanart, fanfics, commissions, and repost, as long as you leave credit intact.**\n\n* * *\n\nTitle card NOT (consciously) inspired by this, but I'm linking it anyway because it's good. There were rumors that Shannon in dispatch was brushing up on her Spanish, but no one had ever caught her. \n \nStill, the guardians of law and order didn't exactly have time to appreciate the irony. \n \nExcept one. \n \nWho was starting to really regret that he quit smoking. \n \n\"Yes, ma'am. No ma'am. We're doing everything we can, ma'am.\" \n \nSomeone knocked on his open door. Just below where it said CAPTAIN CARNELL. \n \nCarnell didn't look up. He just held up a finger. \"We're doing everything we can, ma'am. Yes, we'll keep you surprised if any developments. I will, ma'am. Yes, good night.\" \n \nHe hung up with the exact manner of someone who was trying not to slam it, and didn't let go right away. \n \nKaida could almost hear the plastic creaking from across the room. \n \nCarnell let go of the phone, collapsed into his chair, and squeezed the bridge of his nose. \n \nKaida asked, \"The mayor?\" \n \n\"Who else?\" He sighed. \"Did you vote for her?\" \n \nKaida smiled. \"I plead the fifth, chief.\" \n \n\"Smart.\" He sat forward, opened his eyes. \"What's up?\" \n \n\"New reports. Anyone could panic! Anyone at all! He would have come back to the accident, eventually. \n \n\"I just,\" he muttered, \"I just made _one_ little mistake...\" \n \nWas this going to be the rest of his life? A little box? \n \nThe only part of his situation that wasn't completely horrible was the fact that he had secured a spot under the AC vent. Air blew on the back of his neck and cooled his fevered mind. \n \nSomething creaked. \n \nMarcus was the only one who noticed. The only one who looked around. \n \nAnd then up. \n \nJust in time to dodge the strange dark egg that fell down from the vent. \n \nAlmost. \n \nIt landed squarely on his back, and splattered into green goo much like, well, an egg. \n \nBut if you hit with a normal egg you didn't gasp, \"What is- hey! _Ow!_ Get it off!\" \n \nHe tried to reach for his back but couldn't quite make it before the green liquid started steaming. \n \nAnd the skin and muscles of his back started to twitch. \n \n\"Help me!\" he cried. \"Somebody _help_ me!\" \n \nThe other prisoners cringed away from him. Some of them turned to the bars, and called for help. \n \nBut the cops had their own problems.\n\n* * *\n\n\"Lopez,\" Carnell barked. ”What happened?” \n \nLopez helped his partner to one of the chairs in the lobby, helped by several pairs of willing hands. \n \n\"Not sure Chief,\" he grunted. \"We were trying to help some people evacuate, when one of those things came out of nowhere and tagged Cav. Musta been poisoned or something.\" \n \nSomeone called kept the first aid kit! \n \nKaida leaned closer to Carnell, and whispered, \"Boss-\" \n \nAnd he whispered back, \"Yeah, I _know_. Is there any place we can...contain the situation?\" \n \nKaida opened her mouth. \n \nAnd Cavanaugh moaned. \n \n\"Easy, Werner, easy!\" Lopez said. \"You took a pretty bad hit out there!\" \n \nCavanaugh, pale and clammy, struggled to sit up, . Several cops held him down. He muttered something. \n \nLopez bent over. \"What is it?\" \n \nAnd his partner grabbed Lopez by the collar, and opened his eyes wide. \n \nHis eyes were almost black. Completely black. \n \nBesides the glowing green pupils. \n \n\"_Run_,\" he rasped. \n \nHis wounded arm twitched. He gasped, grabbed it with his good arm, and squeezed it, even as green fluid started leaking through his fingers. \n \nLopez looked around. \"Somebody help him! Why are you so just standing there!\" \n \nNobody looked at him. \n \nThey were all staring at Cavanaugh. \n \nLopez blinked the nascent tears out of his eyes, and slowly, reluctantly looked at his partner. \n \nCavanaughs arm was much larger. And darker. And pointier. \n \nAnd it wasn't alone. \n \nCav kept shaking his head like a dog trying to shoo off a fly. He had his teeth bared, and every time he shook they looked a little darker, a little sharper. \n \nHe suddenly toppled off the chair to the floor on one knee. His good arm held him up, but his wounded arm wasn't visible. \n \nLopez knelt next to his partner, heedless of the other cops' warnings. \"Cav? He reached out. Talk to me, man-\" \n \nAnd Cavanaugh's wounded arm shot out, and grabbed Lopez by the throat. \n \nCavanaugh looked up, and licked his full lips. \n \nWhen he stood up, he carried Lopez with him effortlessly. And it took a lot of standing. His uniform pants split over his massive thighs, and revealed dark, organic looking flesh. \n \nAnd it wasn't the only thing straining. \n \nHis uniform shirt's buttons finally gave up the ghost, and popped off to reveal Cavanaugh's massive breasts. The monster grabbed the remains of his shirt with the non-wounded hand and tore it off entirely, with the approximate effort one would use to lift a napkin from table. \n \n\"Chief!\" someone called. \"_Chief!_\" \n \nCarnell closed his eyes for a second, as if he was in pain. \n \nThen he turned to Kaida, and said, \"Hofferson?\" \n \nShe swallowed. \"Chief?\" \n \nHe looked her in the eye. \n \nAnd then he looked at her right hip. \n \nShe swallowed again, and drew her gun, for the first time on the job. Several of the other cops followed suit. \n \nKaida asked, \"A-are you sure about this chief?\" \n \nCarnell's eyes answered her. And out loud, he said \"_open fire!_\" \n \nThe results were surprising.\n\n* * *\n\nMarcus' back twitched. And rippled. \n \nAnd started to protrude. \n \nThe skin on his back poked out into a series of tube like structures. Play darkened as they went, and began to puff some kind of green gas or powder or spores into the air. \n \nThe prisoners weren't exactly highly concerned with the details. \n \nThe darkening skin spread until it covered his whole back. Which was starting to look more...ribbed than it had. The bare parts of his arms were starting to look the same. \n \nMarcus groaned. \n \nEven his groans sounded different. More like moans, really. \n \nHis legs extended, and burst through his pants and shoes. Marcus groaned again, and squeezed his head. \n \nAnd there was rather more of it. \n \nHis tail shot out, and rapidly extended. The tip dripped with green, but it didn't attack his cell mates. \n \nIt attacked his clothes. \n \nAs the last scraps of cloth fell to the floor, Marcus' breathing slowed, and stabilized. \n \nAnd then stopped entirely. \n \nHe put his hands on the bench, braced, and slowly rose to her 7-foot height. \n \nThere was a long, frozen moment. They looked at it. She looked at them. \n \nThe thing that had been Marcus raised its hand, examined it languidly, smiled, then let it fall, and surveyed its cellmates much like a mouse would look at a helpless, undefended piece of cheese. \n \n\"Well,' it said. \"No soap, no shower, but I think I can make do.\" \n \nAnd it sauntered toward them. \n \nThe prisoners yelled even harder. Some of them even attacked. Their blows bounced off its rubbery skin, and it tossed them off with ease. \n \nNothing they did mattered. Nothing changed what was about to happen. The guards wouldn't come. \n \nBut, eventually, the prisoners did.\n\n* * *\n\nSomeone had put a notice on the bulletin board for a lost dog named Midnight. \n \nThe bullets tore it to shreds. \n \nThe cops aimed for the creature's chest, of course. Not only was it in line with their training, but it also tended to draw the eye. \n \nAnd perhaps one or two of them thought it might be a weak point. \n \nA notice of a community barbeque, two weeks away. Gone, just like the chances it ever happened. \n \nOther cops aimed at the head. Wasn't standard doctrine, but as it stretched and elongated like some sick kind of balloon, perhaps it drew their attention. \n \nA round ricocheted off something, and smashed the display case for the station softball trophy. It was from 2 years prior, and they had been hoping to get the title back from the fire department. \n \nNot much chance of that anymore. \n \nOne enterprising officer even aimed for the massive - and getting massiver - ribbed organ that poked out of the alien's crotch. \n \nThis accomplished precisely nothing, unless you count splattering green slime from the tip onto the notices behind it. \n \nCarney said something. The cops didn't hear him. He waved his arms. Kelly saw him first, took her finger off the trigger, and the cessation of hostilities spread out from her like a wave. \n \nAnd then things went quiet. \n \nUnless you counted the ringing in their ears. \n \nThe creature that had been Cavanaugh looked at them all. Presumably. \"Is that it? Are you finished?\" \n \nCarnell surveyed the situation and frowned. Not a scratch on it. \n \nHe glanced at the end of the monster's arm. \n \nThere _was_ a scratch or two on Lopez. Didn't look fatal. The thing that had been Cavanaugh held its arm out straight with the approximate effort a normal person would use to lift a pencil. \n \nIt had protected him. \n \n...Maybe there was still a little Cavanagh in there. \n \nThe thing sighed. \"Look at you. like children. Mewling children, throwing a tantrum because you don't want to eat your vegetables.\" \n \nThe cops didn't respond. Unless one included the ones who grimly reloaded. \n \n\"Law and order.\" It snorted. \"Rules and strictures for those without our-\" \n \nIt ran a claw up its body. \n \n\"-_unity_.\" \n \n\"What do you _want_?\" someone called. Beaufort, maybe. \n \nIt put a hand to its sizable chest. \"Me? Let's stick with the classics. _Take me to your leader._\" \n \nCarnell swallowed. \"I'm right here.\" \n \nThe monster spun around as if she hadn't noticed him. When she said \"Chief! _There_ you are!\" she sounded almost - _almost_ - like Cavanaugh. \n \nCarnell stepped forward. Looked the thing up and down once. Started walking around it, like a man examining a car in the dealers lot. \n \nBut he was pretty sure kicking the tires wouldn't go well. \n \nHe'd had a cat once. If you walked into the room with it it would turn its head curiously to track you. With an impression of complete and utter near-indifference to your continued existence. \n \nCarnell shivered, and stopped. \n \nThe bulletin board was behind him. Which meant the cops were behind the creature and its whisking tail. \n \nSome, at the back, slipped out. In the direction of - \n \nThe armory. \n \nGood thinking. \n \nCarnell looked past the creature. Locked eyes with Hofferson. \n \nAnd then jerked his gaze in the same direction the other cops had gone. \n \nShe didn't get it, at first. Then she glanced over her shoulder, looked back at Carnell, her eyes went wide, and she shook her head. \n \nCarnell frowned. \n \nShe shook her head again with a little less energy. Until finally she stopped. Her shoulders slumped. \n \nAnd she quietly joined the low-key exits. \n \nBut not without stopping in the doorway to take one last look over her shoulder. \n \nGood. That was good. \n \nCarnell squared his shoulders, and looked up at the thing's face. Which was nearly scraping the acoustic tiles. Firmly: \"No thanks.\" \n \nIt tilted its head. \"Why not?\" \n \nSomething bubbled up in his chest. Something hot and angry. \n \n\"I already know who I am.\" he snarled. \"I already know _what_ I am. Might not be the easiest job, especially these days, but it's honest work. So what-\" \n \nHe pointed. \n \n\"-are _you_? Just another black piece on the board? Another cog in the machine? Same as all the other freaks out _there_ that are tearing this town apart?\" \n \nHe stepped forward, and snorted with every bit of disdain he could muster. \"Gotta tell ya, from where I'm standing? That don't seem like a real good offer.\" \n \nIt actually had to think about that. Scratched its head and everything. \n \nAnd then it smiled. \n \n\"Me?\" \n \nIt leaned closer to it's once and former chief, and whispered, \"I'm the distraction.\" \n \nAnd that was _precisely_ when the lights went out.\n\n* * *\n\nThe emergency lights in the hall came on. \n \nThey were green. \n \n...Unfortunate. \n \nOfficer Kaida Hofferson raised her Glock, and pointed it at the door. It was locked, but there was a frosted window. \n \nWhich meant she could see the flashes on the other side. Hear the screams, the gunfire. Once something green splattered on the far side, made her jump. \n \nBehind her, Wyatt and Hoshi frantically tried to get the armory door open. She could hear them arguing. \n \nHer sights wobbled a little. \n \n...Her hands were shaking. \n \nWas it fatigue? Or was it fear? \n \nWho _wouldn't_ be scared? With those _things_ out there? \n \nHer gun wobbled a little more. \n \nWould the door even stop them? \n \n\"Kai.\" \n \nBullets bounced off. Maybe they could rip right through. \n \n\"Kai!\" \n \nMaybe they'd break the door down, and flood into the hallway in a wave of darkness and green like those dreams where you can't run away fast enough- \n \nSomething touched her shoulder. She nearly hit the roof, and snapped her head to her left- \n \nIt was Deon. \n \nHe was squeezing her shoulder. With his right hand, because of _course_ he was ambidextrous. \n \n\"Kai?\" \n \n\"...Yeah?\" \n \n\"_Breathe._\" \n \nRight. That thing she needed to do. \n \nShe took a deep breath. The shaking - didn't stop, exactly, but there was less of it. \n \n\"Better?\" \n \nShe nodded. \n \n\"Good,\" he said, and went back to pointing his gun at the door. \n \n\"Carr!\" Wyatt called. \"This green crap keeps melting through the gloves! Even double gloves!\" \n \nThe other two cops couldn't see Deon roll his eyes. \"Then use your pens. Or batons. Nine-mil if you have to.\" \n \nHoshi swallowed. \"Right,\" he said. \n \nKaida murmured, \"Ever seen anything like this?\" \n \n\"What,\" Deon said, \"over there?\" \n \n\"Yeah,\" Kai said. \"In 'the sandbox'.\" \n \nDeon snorted, and semi-shrugged. \"Nah. Never met any sex monsters. Unless you count what happens to most dudes around...four months away from a woman.\" \n \nThis time, Kai snorted. \n \nDeon smiled. \n \n\"Course, back then we had night vision.\" \n \nAnd then his eyes went someplace far away. \n \n\"There were...there were some nights. When we were just sitting there. Watching the dark. And you have to wonder...if there's a bullet out there with your name on it.\" \n \nKai wasn't smiling anymore. \n \n\"Had a battle buddy. Grunberg. We made a promise. If the enemy got one of us, the other would take care of him.\" \n \n\"Take care of...?\" \n \nDeon gave her a look. \n \n...Oh. Take care of. \n \n\"We could get away with saying it was friendly fire. Probably. But that wasn't the point. We knew what those animals did if they had you.\" \n \nKai swallowed. \"...And you're thinking about this because...?\" \n \nHe gave her another look. \n \n\"Oh.\" \n \nHe didn't look away. Why didn't he- \n \n\"...Oh.\" \n \n\"Yeah.\" \n \nHe didn't ask the question. \n \nHe didn't need to. \n \nAnd she didn't answer. \n \nShe just held out her left fist. \n \nHe bumped it with his right. \n \n...He wouldn't be the first cop she shot that night. \n \n\"Sarge?\" \n \n\"Yo.\" \n \n\"Code's not working.\" \n \nDeon frowned, lowered his gun, and joined the other two cops. Wyatt stepped aside, and Deon walked past her. \n \n\"You used the area code, right?\" \n \n\"Oh, Triple-Five, that's right.\" \n \nAnd said, \"Eyes front, soldier.\" \n \nKaida snapped her head forward. And blushed. \n \nMaybe the flashing green lights would hide her blush. \n \nSomething hit the door. Deon said something he definitely didn't learn in basic. unless it was from the drill Sergeant. \n \nAnd Kaida asked, \"What's wrong?\" \n \n\"Take a look,\" Hoshi growled, and stepped back. \n \nSo Kaida could see the broken wires behind the keypad. \n \nAnd the world tilted a little, under her feet. \n \n\"What-I- don't understand. What does this mean?\" \n \nAnd, for a second, it looked like Deon's shoulders slumped. \n \nAnd then his back was straight again. \n \nMust've been the light. \n \n\"It means we split up,\" he said. \"Wyatt, Hoshi, take the side door, head outside. Check the patrol car trunks for-\" \n \nHoshi was already nodding. \"-heavy artillery. Got it. C'mon, Reyna.\" \n \nAs he and Hoshi vanished, Deon said, \"Hofferson?\" \n \n\"Dee?\" \n \n\"You're with me.\" \n \n\"Okay. And we're...?\" \n \nHe started walking. Kaida followed. \n \n\"We're going to Dispatch. Shannon needs to tell everyone on the streets to link up at an alternate rally point.\" \n \n\"Alternate - We're _abandoning_ the station?\" \n \n\"Yes.\" \n \n\"No!\" \n \nDeon stopped, turned around, and grabbed her by the shoulders. \"Kai, look at me.\" \n \nShe looked at him. \n \nThe green lights flashed off his shaved head, his brown skin, his goatee. \n \nShe'd never seen him look so serious. \n \n\"We've got four guns,\" he said. \"Five if Shannon can shoot. And those things have a whole station full of cops and prisoners. Even if the stick is big enough, we don't have _enough_ of them.\" \n \n\"So,\" Kaida said, with a certain amount of bitterness, \"we're running away.\" \n \n\"...Call it what you like.\" Dee let go of her, and resumed walking towards Dispatch. \n \nKaida stewed for two more corners, then asked, \"What happened to your last partner?\" \n \n\"Transfer.\" \n \n\"No, not Ansel. I mean, overseas.\" \n \n\"...Funny story. Funny strange, not funny, funny. Turned out there _wasn't_ a bullet with his name on it.\" \n \nHis voice got a little rougher. \n \n\"Turned out it was buckshot. His.\" \n \nKaida didn't know what to say. \n \n\"We're here,\" Deon said. \n \nHe knocked on the door that said DISPATCH. \"Shannon, it's Carr. We're coming in!\" \n \nThe door wasn't locked. Deon opened the door, with his gun up- \n \nAnd froze. \n \n\"Well,\" he said, in a tight voice. \"Looks like it's four guns after all.\" \n \nThe Dispatch room for the station was small, and only had one person manning it at this time of night. Shannon always insisted that it was \"womanning\", with a smile. \n \nAnd everyone would laugh along. \n \nHer chair was knocked over. Papers were scattered. \n \nWhich was of somewhat less concern than the large, pulsating-green egg in the middle of the room. \n \n\"How-\" Kaida said. \"Why-?\" \n \n\"Decapitation strike,\" Deon said. He didn't holster his gun. Finger off the trigger, of course. \"We can't call in, or out. Can't coordinate an effective response.\" \n \nHe walked forward. \n \n\"Deon? Wh- what are you doing?\" \n \nHe pressed the muzzle of his Glock to the egg. \"Decapitating right back.\" \n \n\"_What?_\" \n \n\"They don't need eggs, usually. Means this is something special.\" \n \n\"But what if Shannon's still in there? Somewhere?\" \n \n\"...Then she'll thank us.\" \n \nThe world tilted again. Deon was going to- \n \nHe couldn't- \n \nBut- \n \n\"Wait!\" \n \nDeon paused. And, finally, turned his head. \"Wait for what?\" \n \n\"...What if it's a trap?\" \n \n\"A trap?\" \n \n\"Yes!\" Kaida stepped a little closer to him. \"They're-they're _sneaky_. Have you noticed? They're sneaky. They get in our heads. So shooting it-\" \n \n\"-Might be exactly what they want. Might be a tripwire.\" \n \n\"Yeah!\" \n \nIt was thin, it was real thin, but- \n \nDeon sighed. \n \nAnd stepped back. \n \nAnd holstered his gun, hard. \n \nHe took one last look at the egg, then walked past it to the console. Started pressing buttons. \n \n\"Makes sense,\" he muttered. \"Makes a _lot_ of sense. They cut the wires on the armory keypad, and put it back on so we'd waste time.\" \n \n\"And then they sprayed the green stuff, so we'd waste even more.\" \n \n\"That's right. You know how to use this thing?\" \n \nKaida walked closer. Stood about a yard away from the egg. Hopefully, that green glow wasn't radioactive or something. \n \n\"That's a bit above my pay grade.\" \n \nDeon didn't turn around. \"Don't touch it.\" \n \n\"I'm not-\" Kaida looked down at her hand. Then pulled it back. \"A-any luck?\" \n \n\"No.\" Deon straightened up. \"Shame there's no blinking red button.\" \n \nKaida looked at the screens behind him. \"At least Wyatt and Hoshi got outside safe.\" \n \nOn one of the screens, the other two cops had made the parking lot. The well-lit, open parking lot. \n \n\"Hard for any of the freaks to sneak up on them,\" Deon said. \"Course, means they're exposed too. These guys don't use guns, right?\" \n \n\"Not so far.\" \n \n\"Goo-\" \n \nA hissing noise. \n \nBoth cops whirled, and brought their guns up. \n \nThe egg was opening.\n\n* * *\n\nIt wasn't quite dawn when the fire truck arrived at the reservoir, fed its hose into the water, and started pumping. \n \nThe only security guard was a single man. Castillo was a retired cop, who had only taken the job to get him out of the house. \n \nFishing had seemed like a cliche. \n \nAnd when he saw the mysterious people in strange costumes pumping a glowing green liquid water, the rod and reel seemed a whole lot more appealing. \n \nHe ducked below the window, and whispered urgently into his landline. \n \n\"No, I don't know what they're pumping! I don't know who they are! They just showed up in this fire truck!\" \n \nHe listened. \n \n\"I tried! All the lines were busy! I couldn't even get through to the actual dispatch!\" \n \nHe listened. \n \n\"No, I don't-i don't _think_ they saw me. I'll check...\" \n \nHe grabbed the edge of the table, tried to ignore the jackhammer in his chest, and carefully - _very_ carefully - peeked out of the window. \n \nAt nothing. \n \n\"They're... They're gone. It's just the truck.\" \n \nHe listened. \n \nHe heard nothing. \n \n\"Hello? Did you hear me?\" \n \nAnd then he saw something new, through the window. In the lights outside. \n \nA few feet of cable, swinging in the breeze. \n \nHe stared at the cut phone wire for a long moment. His jaw fell open. \n \nAnd then he reached for his cell phone. \n \nThe signal out there was always terrible, so he always held it up for better reception. \n \nAnd then a dark, inhuman hand reached down from the darkness of his security shack, and plucked it away. \n \nAnd Castillo thought, _...I **really** shoulda gone fishing._\n\n* * *\n\nKaida and Deon made eye contact with each other, and broke for the door. \n \nWhich didn't open. Even when both cops put their back into it. \n \nKaida pointed her gun at the frosted window, but Carr pulled her arm down. \n \n\"What are you-\" \n \n\"We need to get out!\" \n \n\"And that glass is bulletproof! Unless you got a Barrett in your back pocket!\" \n \nKai wasn't sure what that was, but she shook her head. \"Can we shoot the lock out? \"\" \n \n\"They thought of that too.\" Deon looked at the glass. \"And I don't think that's the real problem.\" \n \nKai looked too. \n \nAnd something dark and fast moved on the other side. \n \nThe egg spluttered. Green drops landed on the floor. \n \nKaida and Deon turned around. \n \nThe flaps on the top of the egg folded back, and released a haze of green tinted smoke. \n \n\"Stay behind me,\" Deon said. Kaida nodded. \n \nA cruel claw grasped the edge of the gigantic, green-pulsating egg. Then another, and another. \n \nThe fourth one punched right through the side of the egg, grabbed the edges of the cut, and all four arms ripped the egg open. \n \nDull green fluid spilled into the floor, and lapped around the cops' feet. Kai flinched, but Deon kept his eyes on the prize. \n \nThough he wouldn't use that word. \n \nThe thing that climbed out was tall, even by alien standards. Tall though for it's elaborate crest to scrape the acoustic tiles. \n \nBut that wasn't its most notable feature. \n \nNor was it the two tails with spikes down their length that swayed behind it. \n \nNor the large pair of breasts that proudly sat on her chest, or the slightly smaller pair - relatively speaking - beneath. \n \nNo, her most visible feature was the massive twin cocks that jutted from her crotch. Each one was as long as an arm, and faded to green at the head. \n \nShe let them soak it in. Every inch of her. \n \nAnd, more importantly, how absolutely screwed they clearly were. \n \n_Greetings,_ she thought. Both cops flinched. \n \nCarr said, \"Hello, Shannon.\" \n \nIt was a good act. Without her enhanced senses, she wouldn't have noticed that slight break in his voice. \n \n_Deon,_ she drawled. _I really must thank you for refraining. And you, Hofferson, for restraining him._ \n \nHe said, \"So you're still in there?\" \n \n_...In a sense._ She ran her lower claws over the swells of her breasts, lingered on the green-tinged three-way flaps where her nipples would be. _There's certain things I always admired about you._ \n \n\"Yeah, I remember.\" \n \nShe laughed down the mind-link. _Oh, Carr! Not the flirting! That was mere-_ \n \nShe sent _disgust-contempt_. \n \n_- **human** attraction. No, I refer to your dedication. You've always been by the book. A good soldier._ \n \nSomething green flashed in her hood, where her eyes would've been. \n \nAssuming she had four. \n \n_That, I can **work** with._ \n \nCarr's face tightened, but he said nothing. \n \nShe looked at the girl. _And you._ \n \nHofferson flinched. \n \n_You're young. Inexperienced. Not...particularly good at anything._ \n \nThe girl didn't know if she wanted to complain, or say thanks. \n \n_But that also means you're flexible. Quite suitable for..._ She ran her tongue across her lips. _...molding._ \n \nThe girl shivered. Yes, good. \n \n\"Hey,\" Carr snapped. \"Just give us the pitch already.\" \n \n_As you wish._ She bowed her head. _I offer you a choice. You may walk out that door at any time._ \n \nThe girl swallowed. \"But...?\" \n \n_But only one of you._\n\n* * *\n\nCastillo's little shack was cold, and poorly insulated, and the wind whistled past so loud that he couldn't even nap. \n \nThere were two benefits; it kept the rain off, and the view when he stepped outside to drink his coffee. \n \nHe'd been thinking about getting into watercolours. \n \nThe thing that climbed down from Castillo's ceiling certainly wasn't a perk. \n \nIt moved like a snake uncoiling from its latest unlucky prey. Looked like one, too. \n \nIf you ignored the chest. \n \nAnd the glowing green...thing behind her. Like a tail, or something a big had. \n \n_How did she sneak that in here?_ \n \nFinally, it reached the ground. Its lower claws touched down, the tail whisked behind it, and it settled into a crouch. \n \nWhich still left it taller than Castillo. \n \nHe took a step back. \n \nThe monster took a step forward. \n \nCastillo took a step back. \n \nAnd ran into something soft. \n \nTwo somethings. \n \nAround his head level. \n \nBefore he could turn around, before he could do everything but flinch, two strong hands grabbed him. Something coiled around his waist, and pulled him deeper. \n \nAnd then something else pressed into his back. \n \nSomething lower. \n \nThe first monster kept coming. It still had his phone. Which it held out, close enough to reach out and grab. \n \n...if he could move his arms. \n \nIt wiggled his phone in front of him, studied his face, and smiled. \n \n_Why...Why is it **teasing** me?_ \n \nThen it let the phone drop. Castillo heard the crack, but he couldn't look away, as the monster leaned in closer. \n \nAnd smiled. \n \nIt didn't have any eyes. \n \n\"Well,\" it said, \"looks like we get to have some fun after all.\"\n\n* * *\n\nHofferson and Carr looked at each other. Then Kaida said, \"Only one?\" \n \n_Yes._ \n \n\"_We_ have to choose?\" \n \n_Yes._ \n \nCarr said, \"And what if we _don't_?\" \n \n_You both walk out. Or, rather, crawl. Perhaps scurry. Or stalk._ \n \n\"We _get_ it.\" \n \n_Talk amongst yourselves._ And she turned her back to them. \n \n\"No.\" \n \nShe turned back to them. _What?_ \n \nHofferson glared. \"I said _no_. This isn't you! You're not Shannon-\" \n \nShe hissed. Her tails lashed behind her. _Shannon was weak. **Human**. You stand before a **queen**._ She straightened. _One who guides the hive. One with thousands at my command in this city alone. Even now, I **lead** our song!_ \n \nCarr didn't seem too impressed. \"If you're not Shannon, who are you?\" \n \nIt came to her, in a blinding flash. The missing piece. \n \n_I...am **S'r'n**. And you should find yourself fortunate that I do not make you bow at my feet for your insolence. Or, perhaps, bend._ \n \nShe turned to face the console. \n \nDeon looked at the Queen's back, and turned to his partner. He kept an eye out, of course. \n \nNot that he'd be able to do much. \n \n\"Well,\" he said, with a forced smile, \"I think we made a good impression.\"\n\n* * *\n\nThey used his belt. \n \nWhen they carried Castillo down to the water, they tied his hands behind his belt with the webbing belt that came with his uniform. \n \nHe struggled, of course. And when he saw the truck, and the spreading, glowing green in the water, he struggled even harder. \n \nAs the two monsters carried him past the truck, some of their sisters at the water's edge turned away. something green and wet arced through the air. \n \nHe turned his face away, and it landed on the side of his head. It was hot. \n \nHis stomach churned. _Is this-?_ \n \nMore hit his chest, his legs. They started to tingle. And then bu- \n \nThe splash of water was almost a relief. \n \nSo was the feeling of it on his back. \n \nWhen the freaks flipped him over and lowered him beneath the surface? Not so much. \n \nHe kept struggling, until he realized there's something in front of him, behind the bubbles. \n \nSomething glowing green, in the dark, half-tainted water. \n \nHe stopped, and stared at it. and then it thrust into his mouth.\n\n* * *\n\nKaida swallowed. \"I'll do it\" \n \n\"I didn't know you swung that way.\" \n \n\"No, I - oh. Hahaha. _You_ actually know what you're doing! They're gonna need a leader.\" \n \n\"And how much good did the Chief do?\" \n \n\"More good than _I_ wou- Wait, what's she doing?\" \n \nThe screens beyond the console flickered from various piped-in security cameras and data feeds, to pictures of the... \n \nKaida frowned. \n \n...the station's parking lot? \n \nWyatt and Hoshi had gotten into at least one trunk. Wyatt clutched a shotgun to her chest, and kept an eye on the shadows around them. \n \nDeon said, \"Kai? Kai, look at me.\" \n \nK looked at him. \"Y-yeah?\" \n \n\"I can't.\" \n \n\"What?\" \n \nDeon hung his head. \"I can't lose a partner again.\" \n \nThe parking lot cameras didn't have sound. So Kaida couldn't hear what made Wyatt and Hoshi jump. \n \nJust see Wyatt point her shotgun into the darkness behind the lights. \n \nAnd then the perimeter lights went out. \n \nHoshi tried a lot harder to get the trunk open, but he couldn't. Maybe he used the wrong key. Maybe it was panic. \n \nAnd the question swiftly became academic. \n \nA glob of dark substance flew from the dark, and pinned Hoshi's hand to the trunk. \n \n_So, they had more than just the green stuff?_ \n \n_Adorable, really,_ the queen murmured. _For us, the darkness is as daylight._ \n \nHer massive tail swished across her rear. It was almost hypnotizing. Almost enough to distract from the horror on the screens. \n \nWyatt raised her gun, and released a load of angry buckshot into the dark. She pumped, fired again. Pumped, spun around, and fired again, past Hoshi. \n \nWas it even doing anything? Was she even hitting them? \n \nEventually, she ran dry, dropped the Remington, and pulled her pistol. Ran that clip dry too, turned to Hoshi, and held out a hand. _Give it to me._ \n \nHoshi looked at Wyatt, then down at his hand. His shoulders slumped. He said something. \n \nAnd pulled his hand free. \n \nAnd held it up. \n \nIt was hard to tell on the video, but his hand looked like it had turned black. \n \nCastillo tried to get away, tried to grit his teeth. But strong talons gripped his head, and wrenched his mouth open, and locked him in place. \n \nOthers grabbed his pants, and yanked down, and someone drove into him. \n \nHe'd never done anything back there, but he was pretty sure the thing in him was _not_ remotely human. \n \nThey pushed him back and forth, back and forth, and one thought echoed in his head. \n \n_I need air...right?_\n\n* * *\n\nThe Queen's claws danced across the console, and the parking lot's perimeter lights came on. She added a few more camera angles. \n \nJust so Kaida and Deon could see the horde of monsters that had been lurking in the dark. \n \nTheir cocks, breasts, and tails all dripped green. \n \nMany of them seemed to be smiling. \n \nAs they charged the two cops, the feed cut. \n \nTo the security camera in the bullpen. Showing the last few remaining cops, being roughly used by those things. \n \nOne lady who'd been unfortunate enough to seek refuge in the station bounced between one cock in her mouth and one in her rear. \n \nEvery time she hit the one behind, her head stretched. Every time she hit the one in front, her tail poked out a little farther. \n \nHer hands - half-claws - were already wrapped around her new cock. Her clawed feet had already burst through her shoes. \n \nThe queen turned around, leaned against the console, and folded her arms. All of them. \n \n_Do you see? It's hopeless. There's no solace, no shelter._ It waved an arm at the screens. _By this time tomorrow, everyone in town will be...black and green._ \n \nDeon said, \"So why make the offer?\" \n \nThe queen smiled. _It amuses me. More practically, as the first one on the planet to voluntarily join, you'd be given certain...advantanges. Even I cannot rule alone. I would do well to have a right hand man._ \n \nShe paused. \n \n_So to speak._ \n \nDeon nodded. \"Got it. Take me.\"\n\n* * *\n\nSomething tingled in Castillo's neck. And his chest. \n \nIt took him a while to figure it out, of course. Not that it was entirely his fault. \n \nIt's not every day you grow gills. \n \nIt's not every day your lung capacity magically expands. \n \nAlong with his chest. \n \nEspecially two points. \n \nThe hands on his hips shifted their grip, on account of the expansion. The strange new muscles bunching and stretching under his skin. \n \nAnd he knew, he _knew_ he was becoming something..._special_.\n\n* * *\n\n\"_No!_\" Kaida cried. \"You can't become one of those..._things_!\" \n \n\"Sure I can. Watch.\" \n \nAnd Deon just...walked away from her. \n \nOkay. \n \nTime to take care of her partner. \n \nWhen she reached for her gun, her hand didn't shake at all. \n \nHer holster was empty. \n \nShe looked down, eyes wide, and looked up, just in time to see Deon drop two guns. They splashed in the muck on the floor. \n \nKaida couldn't let him do that. She had to do something. She took a step forward. \n \nShe took- \n \nShe looked down. The green slime had hardened arnd darkened around her feet. \n \nShe yanked up her pants' cuffs. \n \nEven had little tendrils sticking to her socks. She couldn't take off her shoes. \n \nDeon arrived in front of the thing that had been Shannon. And it purred, _Well met, little one._ \n \nIt leaned forward. _And I wonder...which pleasure will you choose?_ \n \nDeon looked her up and down. \n \nAnd if Kaida hadn't been looking for it, she would never have noticed how slightly his hands trembled. \n \nHe took a deep breath. \"All of it. Full package.\" \n \n_... **Excellent** choice of words._\n\n* * *\n\nAs Castillo's change progressed, he stretched his fingers and toes, just to feel the sensation of webs stretching between them. \n \nStrange, blue-green fins traced the curves of his shoulders, and down his back. \n \nWhen his tail erupted, and curled itself around his backdoor botherer, twin fins adorned the end of it. \n \nEven his dick was becoming streamlined and smooth. Perfect for an aquatic environment. \n \nBut not limited to it. \n \nWhen his hands swelled, and snapped his belt, he didn't try to go anywhere. He just grabbed the sister in front of him, and thrust her into him even harder. \n \nThere was nothing but her joy at being used. \n \nAnd, of course, the thoughts of all the people she'd soon share it with.\n\n* * *\n\nThe queen's tail wrapped around Deon's waist, and lifted him off the ground effortlessly. She dug two of her hands into his waistband, and tore his pants - and his belt - from his body in one deft swipe. \n \nAnother hand braced her against the console, and she rubs her two cocks against his front. \n \nAnd then, in one swift motion, she pushed one of her shafts deep into his rear. \n \nDeon gasped, arched his back. Kaida saw his shivers from across the room. \n \nThe queen purred, _Enjoying yourself, small one?_ \n \nHe was too busy gasping to answer. \n \nKaida covered her eyes, and crouched, and turned her face away. \n \nHer tears fell onto the green-strained floor.\n\n* * *\n\n\"Wait,\" Deon said, \"what are you going to do with that?\" \n \n_No, I think the question is...what are you going to do with it?_ \n \nWhat was she- \n \nOh. \n \nHis shaking hands reached down, grasped his half-hard cock- \n \nAnd he guided the tip against the tip of the queen's second cock. The one that wasn't making green run down his legs. \n \nHe looked into her hood. \n \nAnd her not-eyes glowed green. **_Yeeeessss..._** \n \nThe Queen purred again. But not just in his mind. Her vibration traveled through him, _into_ him. \n \nAnd that was just the warmup. \n \nShe started slow. \n \nIt wasn't clear if it was for his benefit, or hers. But after the first few thrusts, she sped up. He fit her better with every stroke, and drew him closer to her chest. \n \nShe even used one of her claws to splatter green from her not-nipples onto his face, and left him sputtering. \n \nElse, she let their natural secretions rub all over his chest. The green liquid stood out on his brown skin. \n \nAnd it wasn't just cosmetic. \n \nHis chest felt more sensitive. His nipples, especially. And they were, yeah, they rubbed back against her. \n \nHe didn't want to moan. \n \nHe moaned anyway. \n \nIt was already higher pitched. \n \nBehind him, Kaida was probably covering her ears. If she peeked, she might've noticed how his legs swelled, looked darker, more ridged. \n \nMore powerful. \n \nDeon's cries grew higher and higher, and yet, more...alien, somehow. \n \nKaida wished, more than anything, that she had an extra pair of hands. Maybe then she could use all four to block out the sounds. \n \nThe horrible, wet sounds. \n \nThe noise of her partner's bones cracking. \n \nAnd maybe another set. One to hold her nose. \n \nThe other to cover her mouth. \n \nOf course, if she lost her dinner all over the floor, who would notice? Or ca- \n \n_Look._ \n \nKaida kept her eyes shut. \n \n**_Look._** \n \nKaida forced her eyes open. \n \nThe queen ran a sharp claw over Deon's head, even as it elongated into a dark phallic helmet. \n \nShe pressed down on the back, and his head tilted back. \n \nAnd then she looked over his shoulder, past the tubes emerging from his back, and smiled at Kaida. \n \n_Don't you wonder?_ \n \nKaida swallowed. \"W-wonder what?\" \n \nThe Queen's claw wound its way around Deon's narrow waist, onto his rear. She squeezed and pulled. \n \nEnough for Kaida to get a view of the monstrous cock pulsating in him. \n \n_Why he leaned in. Why he pretended to be into it. 'The full package', said he._ \n \nShe let go. _But now the pretense has become reality._ \n \n\"N-no.\" \n \n_We are in his head. We are **part** of him. And so we know...it was to protect **you**._ \n \nHuh? \n \n_He hoped, in his heart of hearts, that being a willing collaborator would grant you some small consideration._ \n \nA spike poked out, at the end of Deon's spine. \n \n_He hoped I would be so pleased that I would refrain from letting you go - then turning your once-partner loose, to run you down as hounds would a fox._ \n \nKaida shivered. \n \nDeon's tail reached his calves. \n \n_Foolish, of course. Nothing could turn me aside from that course, once I had decided upon it._ \n \nThe shivers didn't stop. \n \nThe queen pressed her mouth to Deon's fuller lips. Green liquid ran down the side of his face. \n \nDeon's tail reached the floor, and the queen's tail spun him around. Which, incidentally, pulled her cocks and lips free. \n \nAnd she held him up for display, much like a man holding up a freshly caught fish on a dating site. \n \nDeon had a crest, much like the Queen's, but less elaborate. Protrusions on his forearms, like blades. His cock retracted into some sort of protected sheath even as Kaida stared, and the end of his tail was more like a club. \n \nHis body hung limp. \n \nThe queen let Kaida get a good look. Then she dropped her new...mate? Guard? Consort? \n \nWhatever it was, he thudded to the floor, and just...laid there. \n \nFor a brief, absurd moment, Kaida was worried he was hurt. \n \nWhich seemed pretty unlikely when these things could bounce bullets. \n \nThe Queen stalked forward, until she towered over Kaida. _Last chance._ \n \nSomehow, Kaida found her voice. Unsteady as it was. \"No. Never.\" \n \nThe Queen nodded. \"I thought you'd say that.\" \n \nKaida took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and waited for what would come next. \n \nMaybe the Queen would sic Deon on Kaida. \n \nMaybe she'd do the job herself. \n \nMaybe she'd take those sharp claws, and that barbed tail, and- \n \nSomething hit Kaida in the back. \n \nShe flinched. \n \nIt seemed a lot straighter and harder than she expected. \n \nShe opened her eyes, and looked over her shoulder. \n \nThe door was open.\n\n* * *\n\nWhen the C's'tr slipped away from her sisters, it trailed blue-green fluid to mark its passage through the reservoir, until it vanished into the depths. \n \nBefore she did, she waved at her sisters, under a sky that was had just started to turn pink and gold. \n \nTwo of them watched her go, as others wound the hose back into the truck. \n \nOne asked, \"What's downstream of here?\" \n \nThe other said, \"A few towns. Then the ocean.\" \n \nTheir aquatic sister shot out of the water, into the air, cleared the dam easily, and somersaulted into the mist below. \n \n\"...Showoff.\" \n \nThe first one smiled. \n \nThey turned around to face their sisters, and they all head for the truck. One said, _Now what?_ \n \nAnother said, _Breakfast._\n\n* * *\n\nKaida stared at the door. Then her head whipped around, toward the queen. \n \nHer mouth moved. \n \nThe queen waited. \n \n\"Just like that?\" \n \n_Just like that._ \n \n\"You won't hunt me down?\" \n \n_I won't hunt you down._ \n \n\"_...Why?_\" \n \n_Because I gave my word. And-_ \n \nThe queen smiled, and bent over. Kaida leaned back, as far as she could. \n \nAnd S'r'n whispered, \"We are so far _beyond_ you now. All of you. All of _us_. We'll make this world into something you can't even _imagine_.\" \n \nShe straightened up, reached out, and patted Kaida on the head. \n \n\"And you...are just so _small_.\"\n\n* * *\n\nKaida plunged out the door, into a nightmare. A nightmare of dark curves and green lights. \n \nSomehow, she found a car, and a key. She slid behind the wheel, and looked over her shoulder, at the gate... \n \nWhich quietly slid open. \n \nShe smiled, grimly. \n \nOne last little joke from the queen. \n \nWhen she peeled out the gate, mashed the pedal to the floor, and sent her Crown Vic roaring into the night, she wasn't going anywhere in particular. \n \nJust...away.\n\n* * *\n\nThe morning light shone through Kaida's eyelids. She winced, groaned, and opened her eyes. \n \nShe was in her car. Somewhere off the highway. Far out of town. \n \nOut of town. \n \nFor a second, she saw it again. The traffic jam on the bridge. The fires, the hysteria. \n \nThe people looking to the only cop on the scene for help. \n \nWhen the screams started. \n \nAnd the gunfire. \n \nAnd the moans. \n \nShe shivered. \n \n_Protect and Serve._ \n \nShe looked down at the badge on her chest. \n \n_What a joke._ \n \nThe really sick part? Maybe her nightmares were better than reality. \n \nShe wiped the drool from her mouth with the back of her hand. The comedown from caffeine and adrenaline was a- \n \nSomething blocked out the sun. \n \nKaida jumped, and reached for the gun she left behind a lotta miles and a lifetime ago. \n \nIt was a waitress. Just a waitress. The badge over her heart said \"DIXIE\". \n \nKaida frowned, and rolled down the window. \n \nAnd the woman said, \"Officer...are you all right?\" \n \nKaida looked at the other woman. \n \nAnd started to cry.\n\n* * *\n\nThe dinner was classic Americana. A greasy spoon on the side of the road. The food was cheap, hot, and in large portions. \n \nQuality was not exactly a high priority. \n \nKaida had finally managed to stem the flow of tears by liberal application of cheap, scratchy napkins. \n \nDixie sat on the next stool, and patted Kaida's back. \"Y'wanna talk about it?\" \n \nKaida laughs. Technically. \"You wouldn't believe me if I told you.\" \n \n\"Try me,\" Dixie said. \"Wait, no, let me guess. Boy trouble? Girl trouble? Both?\" \n \nKaida not-laughs harder. \n \nEven she can hear the faint edge of hysteria in her voice. \n \nDixie smiled. \"There it is. There's the sun. Things are gonna be as right as rain. You'll see. Nightmare's over. Now, where's Tex with that coffee?\" \n \nShe stood up from the stool, and looked across the counter, at the window in the kitchen door. \n \nKaida looked up. There was nothing in the big window between cashier and kitchen. \n \nSomething moved in the kitchen door window. \n \nIce ran through Kaida's veins. \n \n_No._ \n \n\"Dixie,\" she whispered, \"we need to run.\" \n \nDixie blinked. She looked at Kaida, at the kitchen door, back at Kaida. \"Run from what? Forgotten coffee?\" \n \nSomething big and dark bursted through the door, leapt the counter, and pounced on Dixie. \n \nIt shredded her clothes in seconds, and got to work. She reached a hand toward Kaida. A hand whose nails were already turning black. \"Please...\" \n \nKaida stared. \n \nKaida said, \"I'm sorry.\" \n \nKaida ran for the car. \n \nShe yanked the door open, jumped in, turned the key, and...nothing happened. \n \n_How-_ \n \n_Why-_ \n \nShe turned the key a few more times. \n \nThe car still didn't start. \n \nSomething pulled up in the next slot. \n \nKaida looked up. \n \nIt was a fire engine. \n \nThe \"firefighter\" in the cab leaned out the window. \n \nIt was one of the aliens, in a fireman's hat. \n \nAnd it said \"Engine trouble?\" \n \nKaida just kept staring. \n \nShe'd thought she was full up on weird, but clearly there was a little more room in the tank. \n \nThe \"firefighters\" on top - also \"wearing\" hats - started doing something. With the hose. \n \n\"By the way,\" said the driver, \"Her Excellency didn't tell us to find you. But she didn't tell us _not_ to, either.\" \n \nKaida kept staring. Even as the firefighters finished their preparations, and pointed the hose at her car. \n \nThen she closed her eyes. \n \nRelaxed into her seat. \n \nAnd waited. \n \nDidn't even jump when the diner door banged open, and the three alien creatures poured out. \n \nNo point running. No point fighting. \n \nNot anymore. \n \nAnd she was tired. Very tired. \n \nMaybe- \n \nThe green hit her car window. \n \nShe closed her eyes. \n \n-maybe she didn't wake up at all. \n \nTHE END \n(For now)\n\n* * *\n\n* * *\n\nThis story is 2025 Creative Commons. \nby Eulalie \"Nequ\" Quentin \n**Feel free to make fanart, fanfics, commissions, and repost, as long as you leave credit intact.** Preferably with a link. \n \n \nTitle card drawn from reference. \n \n \nCred to [gusherthexenomorph](https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/gusherthexenomorph/) and other artists in my favs for (unconscious) inspiration. \n \n \nIf I do write more, it'll be about the former-Castillo's aquatic adventures downstream.
