Last week, Connecticut's Freedman University of Research and Innovation faced a biological outbreak of unprecedented scale. Whilst the institute is currently under investigative lockdown, numerous sightings of strange 'animal humanoids' have been reported all around surrounding towns and cities.
Local authorities warn that these animals are 'extremely volatile and predatory', advising any citizens that catch wind of them to stay out of sight and as far away as possible. A small handful of reports have already been made from surrounding states and cross-country.
WHO officials investigating the outbreak state, 'close contact with these creatures guarantee the passing over of their contagious symptoms, namely rapid development of animalistic traits, mood changes and nymphomania. We suggest remaining indoors and continuing to report sightings until this outbreak has been properly contained and quarantined.' They are currently looking toward initiating another nationwide lockdown…

Terra Nova has fallen.
It was… truly overwhelming. The sheer number of infected humans that stormed the shelter. And yet…
All of it was a bluff. Their unorthodox tactics kept our attention focused on the threat outside, a threat our defenses could handle! But whilst we were occupied, a small group penetrated our extensive pathogen monitoring system.
Inside our nation's greatest supershelter, the virus spreaded at an exponential rate, quicker than any outbreak seen so far — even faster than the initial event at FURI.
With enemies to our front and back, it wasn't long before our offensive ceased. Their claws scaled our walls and continued to tear through our defenses. Their fangs ripped straight through our toughest armor, and corrupted our ranks!
Everything ended then and there.
I write this log within the blazing remains of humanity's last hope. Soon the flames shall consume me and I pray that it devours those GODDAMN MONSTERS! But, even I know this is a hollow wish. After the cinders fade…
FAVi shall remain — and that is what terrifies me.
