Monster Hunter Tri: Rathalos Vs. Lagiacrus
A Monster Hunter Tri Vore Story
The day was bright, and the sky was clear, and Rathalos flew through the sky. The waters below him were a vibrant yet cool blue, and just below the surface, it was teeming with life. The spiky wyvern didn't care much for them; they did nothing for him. Instead, his attention was focused on something up ahead.
He was heading towards land. There were cliffs that lined the side of the land. The ground seemed to shake with a dull roar as a herd of Aptonoth stampeded over it. They looked quite frightened. Rathalos hadn't seen the whole sequence of events, but he knew something must have stirred them up. Whatever was happening, he suspected the culprit was alongside them.
Though he wasn't interested in the Aptonoth, an item of more interest was running alongside them.
Unlike the Aptonoth, who were mostly-docile herbivores, the Jaggi were vicious predators. IN Rathalos' eyes, the purplish raptors were also much tastier as well.
He could guess what had happened here. The Jaggi were hunting the Aptonoth. Whether they had caused the stampede or were just taking advantage of it, the great dragon didn't care. All he knew was that a bunch of taste Jaggi had come to the same place, and were ripe for the picking.
As he got closer and closer to the land, he could see that their leader, the great Jaggi was closing in on one of the Aptonoth. He dove lower, and adjusted his course to intercept it.
Right as it opened its jaws to bite, Rathalos flew through the crowd of Aptonoth, knocking some of them over, and grabbed the Jaggi in his jaws. He pulled back up into the air, and escaped with his catch.
The Jaggi, like all of its species, was vicious, and didn't take kindly to being snatched up like that. He twisted and clawed in Rathalos' jaws. It didn't really do much damage, but it still made him awkward to hold. Without really thinking about it, he landed on a green field next to a small cliff, deciding it would be easier to eat his meal on a level surface.
This worked in his favor. As soon as he landed, he was swarmed by the pack of Jaggis. The rest of his lunch had come to him.
They came down from the ledges they had been stalking along before, rushing towards him with the goal of saving their leader. They circled around him, hissing threateningly as their leader thrashed between his jaws.
They were right where he wanted them.
He tipped his head back, and with a few quick gulps, he sent the Jaggi down into his gullet. It continued to squirm as it slid down into his throat, before coming to a rest in his jaws.
The other Jaggis were not impressed, to say the least. They immediately started running towards him to attack. Rathalos readied himself, crouching down and lashing his tail forward. He opened his jaws, and spewed forth a stream of fire, holding the Jaggi back briefly and delaying their assault.
Suddenly, he heard a thunderous splash from the ocean behind him, and a loud roar to accompany it.
The Jaggi froze, and quickly turned and fled, as whatever it was rose above the ledge. Rathalos turned to face it, and saw a huge, serpentine sea dragon rise from the water, climbing over the Cliffside the face him. Its scales were a dark grey except for its bronze-colored chest and belly, and its fearsome eyes glowed yellow.
Rathalos recognized it. He had seen one of these before; a Lagiacrus. They were fearsome beasts, and most were even bigger than he was. They were fearful opponents indeed.
To top it off, this one looked hungry, and its eyes were fixed on him.
It lunged forward, and began its attack. Without even thinking, Rathalos leapt into the air. He dodged the attack, and the Lagiacrus crashed into the ground where he had been only moments before.
His instincts were screaming at him to flee, but his pride told him to stay and fight. He had a chance to bring down this beast, and he didn't want to give it up. Besides, even though there was a Jaggi squirming in his belly, he was still hungry, and this beast looked delicious.
The thoughts that accompanied this realization brought him to a decision. Without any further hesitation, he folded his wings and dropped down onto his prey, pushing down with his paws and wingtips with all of his might. The Lagiacrus roared, as its bulk was slammed into the ground, and it started to thrash, trying to throw Rathalos off.
Though the Lagiacrus was bigger than him, it wasn't by much, and their strength was close to evenly matched. The Lagiacrus would toss itself back and try to throw Rathalos off, but the wyvern would keep a firm grip, and eventually push him back down again. Slowly, he inched forward along the other monster's body, and soon he was in prime position to begin his meal.
The next time the Lagiacrus threw itself into the air, Rathalos opened his mouth wide and, with a swift motion, planted it down over the Lagiacrus' snout. At first, it was just the snout, but very soon, he pulled more of the beast into his maw, and his lips passed over its eyes.
It slammed down onto the ground again, and tried to roar in anger inside of his mouth, but it came out weak and muffled, as he couldn't parat his jaws in the tight confines of Rathalos' jaws. It doubled its efforts, and tried to slash out with its claws. Though they were very sharp, Ratahlos' scales were thick and tough, and its attack proved ineffective. At least, for now; he would have to do this quickly so that he wasn't hurt.
In spite of all the lashing and attacking the Lagiacrus was doing, Rathalos focused almost entirely on getting its massive body inside of his. He brought the rest of its head into his mouth with some effort, and with a few deep gulps, he swallowed it. Its neck slid between his jaws, and the flaps sticking out from it were flattened. His neck bulged out more than it ever had before as his prey slipped inside.
To say the Lagiacrus wasn't happy with this development was an understatement. It roare again- the sound even more muffled now, but still audible- and continued its struggles. However, the more Rathalos worked it into his body, the less it could struggle. Already, its claw attacks were becoming weaker, and it no longer had the strength to lift him into the air. He was winning, and had only to conquer the task of getting its actual body, which was bigger than her head by a wide margin, inside of him.
He was confident that he could do that. His body was pretty stretchy, and while he had never eaten something this big before, he had eaten large meals in the past. All he needed to do was keep pushing forwards.
First, he had to take care of its neck. He thing was thick enough already, but it was also incredly long. He kept swallowing, making slow but steady progress. The Lagiacrus' head slipped further and further down his gullet, and soon slid into his chest. A few more gulps after that, and he was finally at the creature's body.
Throughout all of that, it continued its struggles, lashing its body about feebly and continuing to slash out with its claws. Though the sharp appendages continued to glance off of his scales, they still didn't do much. It would take a lot more than that to bring Rathalos down; for instance, an actual fair fight between the two on a level playing field. Rathalos had taken the advantage quickly here, and, unfortunately for the Lagiacrus, said advantage was too great.
To be honest, this meal was turning into more than just a meal for sustenance or revenge. The Lagiacrus actually tasted delicious. Before now, Rathalos had never thought to try one, but now that he was, it was proving to be quite an excellent experience. He would have to try it again sometime.
Now, he was faced with the penultimate challenge this meal gave him; fitting his lips and jaws around the swell of the creature's body that lay before him. Not only did it swell into the bulk of its form, but it branched out into the shoulders and back spines as well. The latter would most likely prove to be the most difficult portion of his meal. But, luckily for him, he was up to the challenge.
He gulped strongly a few more times, and jerked his head forward, trying to fit the beast into his throat. He wrapped his wings around its form, and pinned its legs against its body, rendering its attacks useless. He pushed upward with them, making his job even easier.
He fit his lips around the creature's shoulders, and then eventually conquered the first spine. It dug into the roof of his mouth somewhat, but the pain was bearable, and worth the rewards that enduring it would bring. More importantly, the challenge had been overcome, and the only difficulty left was fitting the rest of this massive beast into his belly.
Speaking of which, he felt the writhing beast start to push into his hot, hellish stomach. As he continued to gulp down his meal, more and more of it passed into the acidic organ. Soon, his belly began to slowly bulge out, as the Lagiacrus was gradually pushed into the new hellish place it would be trapped in for the rest of its life.
The rest of his meal went by easily. The Lagiacrus continued to struggle, of course, but as its legs were passed further and further into the dragon's gullet, there was little to nothing it could do about it. It tried to attack with its hind legs, but they didn't really do much either. It even tried to flick and whip its tail at him. Nothing. Everything else it tried, including its intense wriggling, only served to further guide it into its predator's body.
There was also quite the commotion from inside of his belly, as the Jaggi he had eaten earlier tried- and failed- to get away from the Lagiacrus. Never before had he felt this much activity in his gut. The Lagiacrus was furious, the Jaggi was terrified, and together, they created sensations that were absolute heaven for Rathalos.
His belly got bigger and bigger as more and more of this massive lunch was stuffed inside. He could only imagine how cramped it must be in there- not that he cared. Already, his belly was hard at work on digesting them. Soon enough, he could feel that the Jaggi was no longer really moving. It must have already suffocated. He couldn't imagine that the Lagiacrus would be that much further behind.
Finally, he reached the beast's tail, and stopped to consider the progress he had made. Only the tail and the hind paws of his prey still hung outside of his gullet. His belly was huge, and he couldn't even touch the ground with his paws anymore. Truth be told, his gut was almost as big as he was.
Inside, the Lagiacrus flailed and roared and even tried to attack his belly walls, but to no avail. It wasn't escaping, and they both knew it. Even as it was slowly suffocating in the extremely tight and airless confines, and driven to desperation by the acids that coated it, it knew deep down inside that it was now nothing but dragon food.
Only the tail and feet were left, so Rathalos set to work. He gulped and slurped and gobbled up this final portion with much greater ease. Soon, the Lagiacrus' paws were gone. Then, even that was barely left. At last, with a final few gulps and slurps, the tail disappeared down his throat, and the Lagiacrus was gone.
As the last remaining parts of his meal traveled down his throat, Rathalos felt a rush of air in his gullet, and opened his jaws to let out a massive belch. What little air was left in his belly was now gone.
He licked his lips to taste the last remaining vestiges of his meal's flavor, and then looked down to admire his new belly. Like he had expected, it was nothing short of massive. In fact, it was even bigger than he was. He could see almost every contour if the Lagiacrus' tightly-curled body through his flesh and scales- and if felt great. The beast itself was still struggling, but very weakly. It was now nothing but a giant slab of meat, fit only to digest in the belly of a smaller yet stronger creature than it. Soon, it would be dead, and then it would be broken down into nothing but fat and nutrients.
Overall, it had been an excellent meal. Though he couldn't leave to digest in a more private area- the weight was massive, and he couldn't even touch the ground!- he was still content to lie here and relax. The field was empty now, as the stampede had moved on, the Jaggi had fled, and the Lagiacrus now resided in his belly. Plus, the sun was out, and it was a beautiful day. He could think of a lot worse places to digest something.
Full and satisfied, Rathalos let himself relax. He had a long digestion ahead of him.
* * *
It was about a week before the Lagiacrus was fully digested, even with Rathalos' powerful stomach acids. During this time, Rathalos was in bliss. Filled with pride at having overpowered and devoured such a massive creature, he was in a good mod the whole time.
He spent much of it rubbing his scaly belly, feeling the Lagiacrus' body as his stomach acids slowly broke it down. The Lagiacrus' life didn't last long, as it was only a matter of minutes before it died. From there, Rathalos' body broke it down, softening it by the hour, and eventually dissolving it.
Throughout this process, Rathalos rubbed his belly with his claws, wingtips, and even tail, kneading and pressing into it, exploring the breaking body of the once-proud creature his belly was destroying. This brought him even more glee.
After five days, the Lagiacrus had been fully liquefied, and Rathalos' belly had shrunken down to the point where he could finally move again. He then flew away, back to his home, belly sloshing behind him. There, he spent the rest of the digestion process, until there was nothing left of the mighty Lagiacrus except for fat on Rathalos' belly.
It had been an excellent meal, and Rathalos looked forward to having it again.
