#1 of Life of Raven

Raven Forestal: 22 Year old transmale, graduated from Arlington West University with a BS in mechanical engineering. He plans on returning to finish his masters at one of the state schools, yet he is taking some time off from school to enjoy life and work towards parts of his transition. Raven works two jobs, his day job is four days a week as a "Ride Maintenance Engineer" at Fun Republic. His second job is for "Blackbox Gaming Magazine" as a review writer. He is 4'8" tall, which is often difficult for him. He is naturally short. Raven has not taken HRT but has plans for chest surgery that he has saved the money for. He identifies as a trans male asexual heteroromantic

Mandy Forestal: 21 Year old female, graduated early with a degree in the culinary arts. She wants to open her own restaurant but for now she works as a manager for a cafe, which pays her relatively well. She is 5'2" yet still taller than her boyfriend. She self identifies as a heterosexual panromantic. Despite Raven's disinterest in sex the relationship still works well. Mandy and Raven have been happily married for two years, though they still refer to each other as boyfriend/girlfriend as husband/wife creates an inequality between them.

Notes: A big shout out to Jenny for letting me once more play in her sandbox... I'll let you decide on your own if that was an innuendo... Arlington West and Fun Republic are both creations of Jenny Harlow and her intellectual property.

The Life of Raven: Hot Chocolate and Neck Kisses

By: Porville Sins

Raven lay in bed, his eyes shut in an unrestful sleep. He held a large pillow up to his stomach, with a heating pad trapped between him and it. His breath would come in short bursts. He curled his knees upwards. The small black wolf was miserable, the only way that he had finally managed to get to sleep was dipping into an emergency supply of prescription strength painkillers, that was at least six hours ago. He was so out of it, that he didn't even notice the door to the bedroom opening and shutting. Mandy, his girlfriend, walked slowly around the bed. She was dressed solely in her underwear. She carried a small tray in her hands, it contained two of Raven's favorite things. A dark chocolate and mint hot cocoa from Mandy's job, and a blueberry donut from the same place. She set the cardboard tray down on the nightstand and bent over the bed. She gently ran her hand over Raven's dark blue hair. She kissed his forehead gently, he was really warm. The cat stood up, stretching her back slightly after standing all day. Her own periods were bad enough, but Raven's looked and felt like a homicide. The fact that he had a severe sinus infection on top of it didn't help matters. She gently shook her sleeping boyfriend, kissing him on the nose as she did so. "Hey Ray, wake up sweetie. Have you eaten today?"

The wolf made a low moan, his dark blue eyes opening. He sat up looking at his girlfriend, eyes still half-lidded. "Hey Mandy... What were you-" He noticed the tray, and a small smile crossed his face. He took the cup and the pastry, and kissed the tuxedo cat on the lips as put the small snack onto his lap. He took a sip of the warm beverage. He quickly pulled the cup away from his mouth though, letting out a disappointed "Aaah..." As he did so.

"Is it wrong? I asked for it exactly how you like it." Mandy said, rubbing her mate's shoulder.

"No, the drink is awesome. So are you." He said, taking her hand reassuringly. "No I just made a mess." He said grumpily. He slowly pulled the black blanket aside, revealing the white sheet underneath. There was a blossoming crimson patch on the white fabric. He sagged noticeably, like a deflating Raven balloon.

"I'll take care of it, you go get in the shower and get cleaned off." Mandy rubbed his ear gently, taking the tray with the other hand. "I'll keep this warm for you while you're in there."

"I'm sorry..." He said, getting slowly out of the bed. He stared down at the floor, feeling nauseated at even that little movement.

"It's okay, you can't help it. Just like I can't. You do the same thing for me." The cat said, smiling warmly at her partner.

"I know, but I mean... It's not... I'm not supposed to.."

"Dude, I love you to pieces, and trust me when I say I'm being honest." Raven shifted his eyes up to meet hers. "You are the manliest man I think I've ever met. The other guys I dated wouldn't be doing half this well right now." She put her hand on Raven's cheek, he leaned into it, his eyes closing slightly. "The other thing is, whether either of us like it, it gives us some even footing too." Raven giggled slightly.

"I guess you're right babe. I love you too. Thank you." He said, she took his hand and helped him slowly get off the bed. He was really dizzy from the congestion in his head, and nearly fell over. She walked him slowly to the bathroom door, just to make sure he was stable. She kissed him on the side of the neck, and let him carefully go.

She stood at the door for a second until she heard the water start. She turned around and stripped the covers from the bed, piling them in front of the closet door to be washed later. She looked at the mattress and pulled a towel out of one of the drawers, spreading it on the bed. She took a second and put it in the dryer to give Raven when he came out. She changed out his pillow case, as it was soaked with sweat, and then put fresh covers down on the bed. The dryer dinged, she pulled the towel out and walked into the bathroom. She could see the wolf through the fogged glass, he was leaned back against the back of the tub, sitting on the bottom. He had the moveable shower head and was just letting the warm water run on him. Mandy knocked gently on the glass. She saw his arm shift to open it. "Roll over," Raven rolled onto his tummy, the angle of the tub allowing him to still be comfortable. Mandy ran her hands under the water for a second. She took the shampoo and squeezed it onto her palm. She lathered her hands, and leaned forward. She gently rubbed the soap into his shoulders, making sure to press slightly into the muscles. He let out a content sigh as his mate slowly and gently massaged his back, paying special attention to the knots towards the base of his spine. She leaned in slightly, kissing his neck again. He couldn't deny, being miserable seemed to have its perks sometimes.

"If we'd have thought of it earlier, you could have joined me in here." He said, his eyes closed softly.

"Then who would've made the bed? You goof," she said, gently running her muzzle through his hair.

"I could've waited."

"Then you would've been cold, miserable and bloody. Besides, I got you a nice hot towel when you're done."

"Yaasss..." Raven sighed contentedly.

The shower didn't last a lot longer, as Raven was getting tired and the warm water was making him dizzy again. Mandy handed him the towel, still warm from the dryer, and she helped him wrap up in it. Raven was actually shorter than she was, by about half a foot. He looked up at her, looking like a small, shivering puppy. She used one arm to pull him to her side, and hold him as they walked back out into the bedroom. She put his pillow on the opposite side of the bed from where it had been. She got him set back up with the heating pad, and snuggled into the blankets. She walked back out into the kitchen to bring him back his treat and herself a bottle of soda. As she handed him the small tray, she crawled under the blankets. He turned on the TV to one of the cartoon channels. Mandy's work day hit her like a bus and she realized how tired she was. Raven still looked worn out, having stayed home today because of the fever and the cramps. She gently put her head on the side of his leg, turning sideways on the king sized bed. With her left hand, she slowly reached upwards, putting her hand over the heating pad, and started rubbing just under his navel. Despite a long work day, and a day of being sick, both of them were quite content in this moment. It wasn't the most pleasant situation, by far, but it made them feel close to one another. After his snack was finished, Raven switched the TV off, and Mandy moved back onto her pillow. Raven turned onto his side, and the cat wrapped her arms around the wolf, burying her face in the fur between his shoulder and his neck. He was warm, partially from the shower and partially from the fever. He smelled of his pleasantly musky shampoo mixed with his natural scent, and chocolate. She took the scent in happily, kissing his neck. She purred, her tail swaying slightly behind her. She continued her gently message of his tummy, feeling it move in and out with every breath. His breathing wasn't the sharp, pained bursts it had been before, it was now the slow and relaxed breathing of a sleeping canine. His eyes were closed, and he was pressed back into the cat as much as he could be. Eventually her own eyes started to drift shut. "I love you Ray." She said, her voice muffled by her partner's fur.

It had been about seven by the time Raven had showered, and the two had gotten to sleep. At about one in the morning, Mandy felt Raven squirming restlessly in her arms. She woke up and turned on the soft bedroom lamp. She leaned over her partner. His eyes were still shut and he whimpered in his sleep. She shook him slightly, "Ray you're having a nightmare, wake up." She said, kissing him on the nose. She repeated this series of actions until the wolf calmed, his eyes opening. He felt hot in her grip. She took the thermometer off of the bedside table, and placed it gently under his tongue. "One o' two..." She said. He shivered violently.

"I need to get to the bathroom..." He said, his eyes watering slightly.

"Okay, get what you have to do done and I'll get you some nice cool water and some medicine for your fever." The wolf rose shakily and shambled quickly into the bathroom, with only his underwear on. She could hear him vomiting in the kitchen of their small house. She returned to the bedroom with a bottle of water from the fridge, and a bottle of medicine. The wolf came out of the bathroom, leaning on the door frame. He stared at Mandy, his head swaying slightly.

"I hate this..." He said, throwing another pair of underwear into the pile. He took the water from his mate, and sipped it slowly. After drinking a little, he filled his mouth slightly with water and dropped the pills in. He swallowed, making a face as he did so. "My throat hurts." He said quietly, as he lowered himself further into the blankets.

Time passed relatively slowly for the couple. Mandy sat awake for a while, watching YouTube videos on her tablet, while she idly rubbed Raven's hair. The wolf had fallen back into a pained sleep. She shut her tablet off at about four in the morning, thankful that she had tomorrow off from her work. She sighed as she looked at the sleeping wolf. He had stopped tossing and turning, but he would still occasionally moan in his sleep. She picked up her phone off the headboard. She flipped through her contacts and dialed. She waited as the phone rang several times. Finally, a female voice answered. "Hello, you have reached the Office of Dr. Lydia and Florence Choi. Our normal business hours are between eight AM and eight PM. If this is an emergency, please hang up and dial nine-one-one. If you would like us to call you back, please leave your name and number at the sound of the tone, and we will do so at our earliest convenience. Thank you." There was a small pause followed by a beep.

"Hi, this is Amanda Forestal, calling on behalf of Raven Forestal. He's had a pretty bad sinus infection over the past couple days, and he's recently spiked a fever. I would like to set up an appointment for him tomorrow if possible. Thank you." She left her number and hung up the phone. She rolled over, pulling the sweat soaked wolf close to her. She kissed him softly on the neck. "Ray, I'd like to take your temperature one more time before we go to sleep, is that okay?" She said, nuzzling him with her cheek. The wolf groaned miserably, but he rolled onto his back, curling his tongue up slightly. She put the thermometer back under his tongue and waited patiently. When it peeped softly, Raven's eyes opened again for a minute.

"What's it say?" He said, passing it to her.

"A hundred and two point five. It's going up. I made you a doctor's appointment for tomorrow, but I'm concerned. I think maybe a hospital trip tonight wouldn't be too much out of the question."

Raven shook his head. "I don't think so, I think I can wait until I get to the doctor's tomorrow." He said, settling back again.

"Okay, if you're sure. I'd like to keep an eye on you to be sure though." Mandy set a timer on her phone for a couple hours. She put her phone on the headboard, and gently took her boyfriend around the waist. He was laying on his back, she turned so that her head was tucked gently under his arm. She kissed him gently on his chest, which was unbound. "You really are a spectacular guy." The wolf grinned slightly as he pulled his girlfriend closer.

Through the night, Mandy would wake up, check on him, then they would both go back to sleep. At about nine in the morning, the doctor's office finally called her back. She answered the phone, half-asleep. "Hello?"

"Hi is this Amanda Forestal?"

"Yes ma'am..."

"Hi this is Trisha with Dr. Choi's office, I'm calling to let you know that you have been given an appointment at four o'clock this afternoon."

"Okay thank you." Mandy said, hanging up the phone. She set her alarm, and rolled back over. Raven was sitting up, leaning forward slightly. "You okay Ray? Well, as okay as you can be..." His fever had dropped some during the night and was hovering steadily at a hundred and one.

"Thirsty..." He said, still half asleep.

"You want something hot or cold?" Mandy asked, swinging her feet off the bed.

"I guess warm... Like some of your hot lemonade. My throat's feeling miserable." He said, rubbing the offending area.

Mandy smiled, running her hand through his hair. She turned his head slightly, kissing him between his eyes. "Okay, coming right up. One hot lemonade." She stood up, feeling the weight of last night coming down on her. It had been worth it to make sure he wasn't in need of emergency intervention, but it was preventing her from being wholly awake now. She held onto the foot board for a moment, Raven giving her a concerned look. She turned and waved a hand dismissively before pushing away from the bed and walking slowly into the kitchen. She took down one of the larger microwave safe cups, the lemon juice and honey. She mixed a lot of lemon in with a little honey, and filled the rest of the cup with water. She set the whole thing in the microwave for a little under a minute. As the first cup was heating, she changed the sheets again, setting another towel down and changing the positioning of their pillows. She returned back out to the kitchen to check on the drink. She brought it out and stirred the lovely smelling beverage. It smelled so good that she sipped it, starting immediately on a second glass. After completing the second glass she took both of them back into their room. Raven sipped his with a quiet, happy smile on his face. Mandy laid back slightly, setting her cup to the side. Raven laid his head down on his girlfriend's stomach, kissing her gratefully on the navel. She inhaled slightly raggedly. He rubbed just along her tummy The skin under her fur reddened slightly..

"Sorry... I didn't mean to... Ya know." He said, laying his head back down.

"It's okay, I'm having some sort of reaction to you right now anyway... It makes it easy to get into that state." Raven knew how aroused Mandy could get, and he felt sorry that he himself had little interest in giving or receiving sex. For some reason, whenever Raven was dealing with his own monthly issues, it made Mandy more receptive to anything remotely arousing. Mandy was fully capable of taking care of herself though, and Raven did enjoy being with her as she did so. "You mind if I go ahead and take care of this?" She said with a frown.

Raven nuzzled his cheek against her, teasing her now. Despite how miserable he felt, it was still worth it. "I don't know, I'm pretty comfortable here." Mandy's breathing shifted into long ragged breaths. Raven moved his head, kissing her once more on the navel as he pulled back. "I'm sorry, go ahead and do what you need to."

He laid his head towards the foot of the bed. Mandy gently lowered the blankets, followed by her underwear. The smell of her arousal was immediately noticeable. "You can put your arms around me, I don't mind..." She said, smiling at her partner. He shifted back up, putting his arm under her neck. She could feel his raised body heat under her. She reached between her legs, tucking her head under Raven's chin. She slowly brought her hand up her wet lips, carefully avoiding that most sensitive spot. She brought her fingers up to her mouth, and licked them softly, letting out a soft moan. Raven nuzzled his head between her ears. He really just wanted to cuddle her and go back to sleep, but he knew that she couldn't unless this was out of the way first.

She rubbed small circles, applying just enough pressure to pull her lips along with her fingers. She let out several small noises as she did so, snuggling closer into Raven's smaller, warmer body. She slowly slid a finger into herself, using her thumb to finally, directly touch that sensitive button as she penetrated herself. After several slow thrusts she inserted a second finger, followed by a third. Her breathing became heavier, and more ragged the faster she thrust and stroked herself off. Finally her back arced, her mouth opened yet no sound came out. This lasted a few seconds, the entire time she let out small gasps of breath. Eventually she collapsed softly back down, a small smile blooming on her face. She kissed Raven where his neck and shoulder met as she gently rubbed her face against his. "I love you, I'm so happy you're at least willing to be physically close to me as I take care of that."

"Believe it or not, I enjoy watching you play with yourself." Raven said, Mandy knew already, "I don't get any sexual pleasure from it, but it makes me happy to see that you're content... I just wish there was more that I..." Mandy, despite his illness, kissed him on the lips, silencing him.

"Baby I know... I know you don't like those parts touched, or really sex in general. The fact that I can get that pleasure though with your arms around me is still... nice... It creates that closeness, without you having to be uncomfortable." She let him move back down to his former position at her tummy, head just under her bust. He reached his hand up, took hers closer to him and gently kissed it. He held it gently over his own stomach. He straightened up on the bed, tucking his head under her arm this time. "I am going to take a nap before my appointment later." He said, cuddling against her. He had a large smile on his face. The cat stroked the wolf's ears as he drifted off, she felt her own eyes growing quite heavy. With a sigh, she shifted under the blanket, careful not to disturb her partner. She kissed his ears, and the spot between his eyes.

The alarm woke them very rudely a few hours later. Raven and Mandy both got up, and got dressed. The small wolf leaned on his girlfriend as he shambled out to her small car. It was a coup that she got relatively cheaply from her mom. Raven got in the passenger side and flopped into the seat, reclining it back before putting his belt on. Mandy slipped into the other side. The drive to the doctor's was quiet, save for the music playing faintly on the stereo. Mandy took her boyfriend's hand, and held it at each stop. Raven was out of it completely again, his breathing soft and slow. They arrived at the building the clinic was housed in and slipped into the elevator. Raven was shaking, a spare blanket Mandy kept in her trunk wrapped around his shoulders. He tucked himself as close to her body as he possibly could. The bell chimed, and the two got off, headed towards the reception desk. Raven took the clipboard and sat down in one of the chairs at the office. It was relatively quiet. Raven was relieved as this meant that he wouldn't have to wait long to get in and get out. The wolf handed the cat the clipboard and pulled his legs up into the chair. A few minutes later, a badger limped gently out the door on their crutches, as a cat followed behind them calling a goodbye. The siamese cat smiled at the pair. "Raven, you can come on back."

The wolf stood, wrapping the blanket around himself once more. He was weighed then taken back into a small room. His pulse was a little slower than normal and his pressure down. The doctor touched the end of her pen to her chin thoughtfully. "Raven, how has your flow been recently?" She asked, turning to the wolf. The young doctor had a small frown on her face.

"Like Jaws has been attached to the lower half of my body. The cramps too." The wolf said, in an exhausted tone.

"I'm going to order some blood work on you, as well as the strep test. I want to make sure you're not anemic. The lowered pulse could be nothing, but just to be safe."

Raven merely made a snort, as he laid back on the examination table. "Alright, just let me know when I need to move and where."

"The nurse will be in, in a few minutes to give you a strep test." The doctor looked at his chart as she wrote down the instructions for his care. She patted him on the shoulder. "I'm also ordering an anti-inflammatory shot and prescribing a pain killer, one that should help with your other problems as well. Other than that, over the counter iron supplements, and decongestant. If your fever climbs up over a hundred and three, go to the emergency room. Don't try and break it if it drops down to about a hundred though, that's just your body's way of taking care of you." She patted him on the shoulder and handed him a bottle of water. "Stay hydrated though, drink lots of fluids." She smiled as she left the room, "The nurse should be right back with you."

Raven laid his head down and reached his arm back up over his head to take Mandy's hand. She held it and slowly rubbed his thumb with hers, she laid her head down next to him, talking quietly into his ear. She told him stories about the antics her workmates got up to at the little cafe that she managed. He would giggle occasionally, as he lay with his eyes closed. Finally the nurse came in, a young mouse. She smiled at the wolf as she stood in front of him with the long swab. He reluctantly opened his mouth. The nurse slid the swab in, and he gagged. As soon as the mouse was clear, he turned his head and let loose a torrent of his stomach contents, landing partially on Mandy's legs. He looked at the cat with wide eyes, she merely shrugged and kissed him on the cheek. He looked awkwardly down at the floor. "If you'll follow me we'll get your blood work done, and I'll drop this off to be tested on the way." The mouse said, writing a note on the whiteboard hanging on the door.

The wolf and his mate followed her out of the room and into the phlebotomy room. Raven sat back in the chair, the nurse indicated that Mandy could sit in the small chair next to him. She did so, leaning her head on his shoulder. The nurse lifted Raven's arm and tied a tight band around it, the wolf grumbled a little. She sifted through his fur until she found what looked like a good vein. She cleaned the skin and went for it, unfortunately the vein was missed, and she proceeded to move the needle looking for it. Raven let out a couple of distressed cries, Mandy nuzzled him. She kissed him on the cheek. Finally the nurse hit the vein, and the small cylinder filled with red. She filled a couple more and put a bandage on his arm. "You okay babe?" Mandy said, stroking his hair as they once more sat in one of the little rooms. Raven nodded, curling into the fetal position on the bed. He looked small and helpless as he coughed violently, he pointed at the trashcan. Mandy passed it to him. The next ten minutes were spent in a cycle of silence, followed by coughing and throwing up. Finally the nurse came back.

"You definitely have strep. The doctor is prescribing an antibiotic and as much rest as you can get. She's written you out a note until next Monday. She said that's 'realistically when you can go back to work'." The nurse smiled as she handed him his papers, including the signed note. "With your insurance your visit will be twenty dollars, please see our receptionist to pay your bill" He passed Mandy his papers and slid back off the bed. He was soaked through with sweat.

The two paid the bill and walked slowly back to the car, Raven glad to be going home. "One stop at the pharmacy, I'm going to pick you up some orange juice and Gatorade. How's that sound?" She said, rubbing his tummy gently.

"Sound's good, can't wait to get home." He said, closing his eyes.

The drive home was quiet, Mandy humming to herself slightly as she went down the road.the only sound beside the engine running and the AC blowing. Raven didn't snore in his sleep, even when he was congested. He was covered in the blanket from his nose downwards. Mandy reached over and rubbed his shoulder gently. He opened his eyes and looked sideways at her. "It's okay Raven, go back to sleep." She said, stroking his head a little. The ride home wasn't very long, yet when Mandy finally got out of the car she felt exhausted. She leaned against the closed door for a moment before walking around to help Raven out. The wolf smiled as he nuzzled under his girlfriend's chin, and stood from the car. The two shambled together into the house, clothes shedding across the room. Neither particularly worried about slobbish actions at this time. The two finally reached the bed, Raven in his boxers and Mandy down to her fur. They both crawled under the blankets, Mandy took him in her arms. The wolf was hot and shivery, but he calmed and returned to sleep fairly easily. Mandy kissed him on the back of the neck and gently nuzzled her nose into his hair. She fell asleep with the smell of Raven's shampoo scenting her every breath.
