Jewel Duel Episode 1 Part 1

This is a homage to the flash game Ball Brawl by Maskopatol (I don't know if he's on the site or not) of which I've had many enjoyable hours playing. Rules are the same as in the game as mentioned in the story, but I'll post the rules on each subsequent installment. As the tournament progresses I plan on switching from watching it on TV to ringside and to character perspective. There is no "main character" here, there is no pre-determined winner. I came up with a list of species and put them in a single elimination bracket and as I get to the fights I create each character, complete with basic backstory if/when I need it, fighting style, honor and personality and I play them as true to the character as the situation allows while trying to make it as entertaining as possible. There will be exceptions, there will be drama, there may be one-sided fights. That's the nature of MMA fights, and these MMA fights have ball-busting in them.

Be forewarned, as you go through these fights there will be mutilation and potentially sexual torture, blood and very likely sex, both straight, gay, herm and anything else I can think of.

It was the most watched event across the galaxy, the new season premiere of Jewel Duel, the adult only no-holds barred fight of gallant gladiators for fame and riches. What made this spectacle so popular was that it had a twist- dirty shots at the groin weren't only allowed, they were encouraged. The prize money was immense to compensate for the risk of losing their pride and joy, fifty million credits, enough to set the winner up for a few lifetimes. Furries and scalies alike would be glued to their tvs for a few long months as the different events and competitions played out. Every season they started with brand new contestants, no returning faces except for a rare cameo or scripted fight. The first show was usually a double feature showing a scouting episode and then the actual first fights. It opened up the heavy online betting scene, for not just the combatants could get filthy rich here.

The arena was situated on the X-01 Hyperion Station orbiting Jupiter, the size of one of Jupiter's real moons it was a technological marvel. Artificial gravity, pristine air, top of the line medical facilities and research stations. How this tournament ended up here was anyone's guess, but nobody really cared because it worked considering the damage these fighters sustained. With the success of the station another was already under construction.

The intro to the show flashed across every screen, the rock anthem and the cinematics that showed flashes previewing the fighters this season, along with the large arena before the hostess walked onscreen, a stunningly beautiful African Wild Dog in a black evening gown taking center stage. "Welcome Sol System to the fourth annual Jewel Duel! I'm your host Freya and do we have an amazing season lined up for you! Thirty-two contestants lined up for the main event and their make-it or break-it, literally, shot at fifty million credits. Before we get started and introduce our fighters, let's go over the rules! All fighters undergo a rigorous screening to ensure no drugs or performance enhancers, then all fighters are evaluated to give you, the viewers and betters a glimpse at who might be your favorites to win. All the fighters are randomly placed into brackets where they must fight to keep their gonads in the a one on one duel TO THE DEATH! Heh, just kidding! The fights a no-holds-barred with no interruptions until one fighter surrenders, loses consciousness or loses both of their balls by any means, no method is too dirty to bring these fighters to glory. Any loser who is knocked out and keeps their jewels gets placed into the Loser's Bracket where they have a chance to fight their way back to glory, for the winner of the Loser's Bracket gets put back into the main bracket for one last shot at the title and fifty million credits! So without further ado, let's introduce our contestants!"

It would be an understatement to say not many viewers watched all thirty-two entrants unless someone was seriously into betting, but then a lot of the information revealed on the first episode was released to the public a few weeks ago to generate hype. Each fighter had their own title card with various stats. Raw strength, stamina, and agility along with their fighting style and any previous experience or titles. Everyone knew the stats were arbitrary, any fighter could beat another, especially with a few blows to the balls, and previous titles were rare because those with titles rarely ever risked it in this ring, a lot were up and coming youngsters or middle aged individuals who believe they had what it takes.

At the end of the program it went live to the Hyperion Station ring where there was a large raised and brightly lit square wrestling ring. The stands were packed with people cheering and holding signs. Around the ring all the contestants were standing stark naked with their paws behind their backs. There were creatures of all shapes and sizes, the smallest being a squirrel with a massive scar over his left eye and went all the way up to a massive polar bear. Other notable mentions include a heavyset rhino and a cape buffalo with arms like tree trunks. It was also interesting to see that this year not all the contestants were strictly male. There were not one, but three hermaphrodites in the circle, breasts and balls hanging out, but unless one paid attention to the introductions the cameras only briefly showed them as they went around the circle of contestants. The lights dimmed and the Jumbotron lit up with small fireworks and the lights danced around the crowd before settling down as two spaces lit up on each of the screens. The faces of all the fighters started scrolling by faster than anyone could make out but started to slow down.

The first one stopped on Cole Marret, a lithe tan hare who couldn't seem to stop moving. He was deceptively tall, his posture was slightly hunched but it was clear as he walked that his pose bellied a tall and quite fit frame. His feetpads were about as long as his forearm and his ears sagged behind him. Between his legs were two almost-sized testes that stayed close to his pelvis. It was rather ironic that his opponent ended up being Ross Kinney the kangaroo who looked to have a similar build- slim upper body and bulky lower half. Ross had a large powerful tail thumping the ground behind him and kiwi-sized nuts but his were positioned above his dick but below the pouch. Ross was a smoky black with a white underbelly and a crop of messy blonde hair atop his head. Both contestants walked to the ring and hopped over the ropes. They met the referee in the middle, a red panda in the black and white striped shirt and black pants, letting that big fluffy tail flop behind him. On his waist was a tazer and a dart gun just in case things got out of hand. He got both opponents to shake paws and paraded them around the arena so the crowd could get a good look at the two and to allow for the betting to get going.

On the Jumbotron above it showed the favor being 1:1.3 with the Kangaroo being the favorite. Upon seeing this the rabbit spat just outside the ring as the ref brought them to the middle of the ring. "BEGIN!"

Before the ref could even finish the word Cole charged the kangaroo ducking in fast and low to throw a surprise uppercut to Ross' chin. It was mostly reflexes that allowed Ross to deflect the blow in time, but it still grazed his cheek. That didn't stop the rabbit though as he lay on the aggression with a bunch of rapid fire punches and kicks at the roo's face, landing a few shots as Ross was forced to back up, trying to get the rabbit out of threat range. It was clear he hadn't expected a close combat fight considering both were classed as kickboxers, so when the marsupial's back was pressed up against the ropes Cole went in for another strong uppercut his opponent ducked to the side, lifted both legs off the ground and letting his tail support his full weight as he slammed both legs hard into Cole's gut, sending him flying into the corner of the ring and taking a knee as he steadied himself. Both fighters took this time to collect themselves, the rabbit was clearly winded and the roo was shaken from the close call as he moved more to the center of the ring. He wanted his space and the rabbit wanted to be close up.

Cole recovered quickly, it was clear he had a lot of energy by the way he was light on his feet, he never stopped moving, being very fluid with his motions and trying to psyche out his opponent. Sticking with the same tactics the rabbit charge straight for his opponent, who dropped into a defensive stance expecting a bodycheck into a flurry of blows, but what came instead was a flying kick aimed at Ross' head. It was bold, too bold, as the kangaroo brought both arms up and caught the leg and used Cole's momentum against him as he lifted up in an ark and slammed the rabbit's light frame into the foam-covered wood hard enough to bounce a little. Luckily the rabbit had the forethought to protect his head and curl up defensively before he connected otherwise he'd be in an even worse position. As it was, Ross was still holding his leg and was preparing to follow through but the rabbit was faster as he twisted around and slammed his free foot into his opponent's thigh, trying to get some space to recover.

Ross was resilient though, keeping the leg in his arm and brushing the rabbit's other leg to the side as he fell forward with his elbow driving into Cole's solar plexus knocking the wind out of him. The roo went to follow up but Cole's powerful legs wrapped around Ross' hips and kept him at bay. That didn't stop Ross from raining blows down on the lithe bunny but the space allowed Cole to keep his guard up and prevent his opponent from landing any real damage on his head or belly, but if he didn't do something a lucky shot was bound to get in. It happened fast, it had to, all of a sudden Cole's legs pulled the roo's body closer to him, which surprised his opponent who suddenly lost his balance. The rabbit capitalized on it, grabbing Ross' shoulder and pushing the roo up and over onto his back, reversing the position and managing to get a quick punch to the gut before the roo got his guard up. Unlike his opponent Cole liked to be close up when grappling which was apparent as he preferred using his elbows. Ross fended off a few blows, but he was unused to such range and he couldn't help but let in a few shots to his temple.

Cole switched up his tactics, the roo couldn't defend all places at once, so while he was so focused on protecting his head the rabbit brought back one of the legs restraining Ross' torso and slammed it into his opponent's side, forcing him to drop his guard in shock which allowed Cole a few seconds of unrestricted access to the marsupial's head. Ross was hurting, he tried to counterattack and threw punches at the aggressor's face and chest but the rabbit either deflected them or shrugged them off, even catching one of Ross' arms and using it to better position himself for a few more good blows to the stomach. The roo's face was busted up, swollen lip, a cut above the eyes and his chest was visibly bruised as he panted underneath the rabbit, but he was resilient, he wouldn't surrender. This infuriated Cole, who wanted a clean and honorable victory but just wasn't getting it and he redoubled his assault on the victim below him. Unfortunately that was his mistake, for while he had the superior grapple, his anger and aggression brought him closer and closer to his opponent, his legs pushing him further and further up until Ross had the perfect shot. In Cole's lapse of judgment he had given Ross enough freedom to pull his knee to his chest and slam it hard into the rabbit's scrotum causing his eyes to roll into the back of his skull from shock. The rabbit lost his hold on the roo as his body was shifted lower, letting Ross, still reeling from the powerful blows earlier, to grab the back of Cole's head and bring it down into a sharp headbutt before throwing the lighter form off of him. A whimper escaped from Cole's maw as he curled into a ball as his opponent knelt, grasping his head and stomach. He knew he didn't have much time, so despite the pain he crept closer to his opponent's head, using one paw to pin Cole's shoulder and the other to repeatedly bash the tan rabbit's temple again and again until Cole brought his own legs to his chest and thrust them out into the roo's unsuspecting forehead with all his might. Ross flew backwards, the force of the blow making the back of his head slam into the arena floor and lay still.

Cole was still rolling on the ground, one paw grasping his bruised nuts, the other cradling his head, so he had no idea what was going on. The ref knelt next to the kandaroo and put his big ear to the roo's mouth to check for breathing and took out a flashlight, opening the eyelids to check for pupil response. Ross was out cold. The ref declared the winner with much aplomb and the crowd went wild. A few aids rushed into the ring and assisted Cole to his feet, aching and woozy, raised his arms in victory, and carried him off to the med bay. While he didn't seem to have much lasting damage, he definitely needed an ice pack and pain killers. There was a short intermission as advertisements played across the TVs and the crew cleaned the mat of any blood and sweat for the next round. There were usually three or four fights per episode for the first week depending on how long they took, after that it went to every week so fighters could recover. Nobody knew the brackets, they were decided as they went down the line of first fights. Now was a time for refreshments and for the betters to pay up.
