Terveta-Chapter 3: Payment (Part 7)
It was then that the smell hit him hard. He lost his vision for a single moment and every joint in his body became weak. It was the heat already, and stronger then he remembered. The blue husky was halfway in the room, his feet not stopping through his moment of fogged mind. He shook his head to clear it and then took another glance around, this time feeling a strong presence from behind.
"Nice try," he chuckled softly staring ahead at the bed. A shadow at the corner of the room extended out from the wall towards him. It slowly shifted and conformed to the shape of a female, her bushy wolven tail swinging low as she stepped right up to her mate from behind. Her arms wrapped around his torso, paws exploring over his broad chest and formed abs.
"I missed you," she whispered right into his ear from behind.
The blue husky closed his eyes for a short moment before speaking back. "Why did you try to hide from me?" He laughed lowly. He felt her shrug against his back; it was clear she wasn't wearing anything.
"I was curious to see if you could detect me with the distraction of the..." She stopped and he felt her body slowly dissipate from around him, like a solid to a shadow in an instant. His eyes flew open and he stared around for a moment, hoping to see her but had no luck. She was gone just like before. He moved all the way around and ended up staring at the door for a second before something hard hit him in the chest. He gave a startled howl when he went through the air and landed effortlessly on the giant bed. A paw that wasn't his own fell over his eyes and a giggle rose up across his ear. She was on top of him now, sitting on his chest with her head down close to his.
"Heat?" he finished for her.
Keisha smirked and then nodded before slipping to kneel beside him. "I've been crazy ever since you left and it struck really hard yesterday. How did you get home so fast, anyways? You were sent out just five days ago."
Blizzard opened his eyes and blinked for a moment before his gaze rested on the cloudy window that was set in the ceiling. "The hostiles just attacked much sooner then what we expected, that's all," he said, and then folded his paws under his head.
The wolf looked at him and then nuzzled right under his arm. "Were you in time to save the city?" she asked again. He nodded and dimmed his eyes. Keisha murred deeply with satisfaction.
"And the reward?" she asked excitedly.
"Is in the cargo house," he finished and shifted his body closer. She gave a happy squeal and jumped up onto him like before, straddling his stomach.
