Chapter 4

The door opened and a brown coated fox walked through. "Hello, Sally." He spoke calmly and coldly his eyes glancing over at Daz trying to hide through his pillow

"Hello, Daddy." Sally went rigid she never imagined he would find her, she was sure she never left behind any trace that she was going to this school but Daz's confession revealed that he had known all along. Sally was mortified that her friend was spying on her for her father to say it was a breech of trust was a gross understatement she absolutely hated Daz at this point in time.

"Thank you very much Mister Zigglioni as per our agreement I will continue to fund your tuition but I am afraid I must enact a restraining order against you pertaining to my daughter, you are simply too much trouble for Sally." Sally's father, Richard, removed a pair of winter gloves revealing a pair of cream colored 'mittens' over his hands. "So long as you do not attempt to contact her you may continue to pursue a higher education and better yourself, an admirable pursuit Mister Zigglioni." Richard put his arm around Sally's shoulder whispering. "The same goes for if you resist or try to run, I will pull funding and send him back to the poor house with his bitch mother." Richard chuckled patting Sally on the shoulder. "I'd assume you wanted to pack but it looks like you don't have anything to take." Richard browsed through Sally's half of the closet looking distastefully at her clothing.

"Daz, was it only because he paid for you to go to school?" Sally asked without turning to face him.

"No, Sally it was so I could be close to you but, my family can't afford tuition here I couldn't get a loan and he approached me with a deal if I kept you out of trouble and answered whenever he called I could go to school with you, we could graduate together and get mar-" Daz began to explain but Sally stomped her foot squashing the conversation.

"Daz you betrayed me I don't think even if this never happened I could marry you, I won't marry a tool of my father so he can control me even more." Sally's heart was broken in too many pieces to count, her best friend was an agent of the man she hated most and he used her as a way to get out of his own house and his problems, Sally was nothing but a thing to these people a doll to be curated or a ladder to be climbed. "Goodbye Daz, we won't ever see each other again, Merry Christmas." Sally walked out of the dorm room door leaving Richard and Daz alone.

"You know Mister Zigglioni I was actually quite worried you would make it, four years, you lasted four long years and come spring you would have reached your goal and Sally would be god knows where without your information to keep me informed, of course you were never going to actually reach that goal I had plans in the works to lets say, prevent, you from finishing college but now I can cancel them in exchange for my daughter's company you can now have your degree in..." Richard looked at his phone a detailed file on Daz inside of it. "Communications, oh dear what a waste of an education." Richard shook his head. "And you thought you were good enough to be my daughter's husband, pitiful." Richard approached the door turning the handle. "Goodbye Mister Zigglioni I look forward to seeing my bank account replenish in the fall." With that Richard left and Daz just sat, mired in shame and anger and sadness.

"I've already discussed it with the head mistress, you will be retiring from the roster and taking an honorary degree in applied sciences which should net you any field of your choice at a starting position." Richard adjusted his gloves tightening them. "If you wanted a position at the lab sweetie you just had to ask, Daddy would have gotten you it." Richard spoke with the annoyance of finding a child trying to steal a candy bar underneath their shirt.

"I don't want Daddy to buy me it, I want to earn it so when people ask me about my credentials I don't just hand them your business card or debit card." Sally replied walking past the nosy resident advisors who stuck their heads out as she walked by. "You don't get it dad, I need to grow up and do things by myself, you can't keep coddling me and protecting me from the world my entire life!" Sally argued but Richard scoffed.

"Watch me." They got to the parking lot and a very expensive Benz limousine was waiting idle in the snow.

"Sir, Madam, Lady." The driver bowed at the waist and opened the door for Sally and Richard acknowledging Phoenix. "Sir will we require a car seat, I am sure I will be able to procure on on short notice." The driver asked and Richard shook his head.

"No I do not believe we will, she will be fine for one ride." Richard's response made Sally wary climbing into the car silently hearing the door shut, like a prison cell door closing on her

"You protest yet you are in the seat, maybe you really do just want your Daddy to take care of you but are too proud to admit it, little girls are so silly like that." Richard chuckled getting in the other side and sitting across from her, the Benz modified to have bench seats for business meetings a cooler in a console at the front half of the back section and a window separating the cab from the carriage. Sally felt like a damsel in a period piece being whisked away by her father to an estate in the upper country side away from the poor and the uncultured, a place she despised more than anything.

"I'm doing it for Daz." Sally growled and Richard laughed making Sally glare at him. "What's so funny?" Richard took a bottle of his favorite brandy and poured himself a glass.

"He betrayed you, you said it yourself, he betrayed you and yet you're doing this for him I find your logic appallingly poor sweetie." Richard dropped some ice cubes into his drink.

"Do you have any friends dad?" Sally responded making Richard pause then smirk.

"I don't need friends I have power." He took a sip and Sally shook her head reaching over and gently rubbing Phoenix's nose in her carrier.

"Even if Daz did something unforgivable, even if I hate him, I still care about him and for whatever reason he did it, he protected me for four full years without ever taking advantage of me once or letting me find out it must have torn him apart inside as I'm sure you had some kind of stipulation, I could fight and run but you said you'd pull his tuition, angry as I am he deserves to be able to finish one of us should." Sally leaned over kissing Phoenix's forehead. "Right, Uncle Daz deserves a good life?" She asked Phoenix who responded with a soft coo.

"That kind of thinking is going to lead you be being taken advantage of in life Sally, a winner is out for themselves and only themselves and of course those they value." Richard lectured and Sally shook her head silently, if Richard was a winner then she was okay with being a loser. Richard didn't inquire about Phoenix at all, even when she started to get fussy during the ride and Sally removed her from her carrier stroking her wings and patting her back letting her play with her long brown hair.

"Aren't you curious?" Sally asked her right hand on Phoenix's backside holding her against her belly. "You haven't said a word." Sally didn't honestly want to engage him about this knowing his stance if he knew the truth, if he didn't know the truth, Sally knew Daz had betrayed her trust but she was confident that he didn't betray Phoenix's.

"About that, no, you had dollies when you were younger I imagine this is a logical extension I don't mind you having a pet, but you will be the one cleaning up after it." Richard said calmly leaning back in his seat.

"She's not my pet she's my daughter, my real daughter, and I'm her real mother.. how could you even say such terrible things!" Sally was shocked to be called a pet, things that they used to call slaves in the old years before the Anthropomorphic Rights movement, before the human decline due to mixed breeding, before so much progression her father was still using that species slur.

"I will not accept a human as my grand daughter, you may take her in but unless she comes from your loins she is nothing more than a pet you picked up on the road side." Richard growled back and Sally glared.

"She's not a human, she's a Seraphim." Sally pointed to Phoenix's golden wings.

"Half is enough to qualify." Richard was unyielding in his hate for humans, perhaps one of but not the only people who called for the death penalty to be re instituted when Hex was first captured months ago.

"Well get used to her, she's not going anywhere," Sally looked at Phoenix holding her up and kissing her belly. "She's my baby."

Richard sighed like he was listening to a child talk about how they were in charge of themselves and how they could do what they wanted. "Whatever you say sweetie, if you think she's your baby then she can be your baby, but someday you're going to want a real baby and when that day comes you're going to look back at this and realize like most things in life, Daddy was right." Richard finished off his brandy as the car came to a stop.

"The day that happens you'll have to attend my funeral because I'll kill myself before I ever say those words." Sally growled and Phoenix picked up her hostility and began to kick and struggle trying to express concern. "It's okay Mommy's not angry at you angel." Sally placed Phoenix back in her carrier tucking her in with the blankets completing the swaddle.

"Sir, Ma'am, Lady." The driver responded again opening the door for Sally. She stepped out into the nearly fresh snow looking at an imposing mansion pillars at the front with a Roman architecture making it look like a temple or a court house. The front steps were tall, taller than Sally remembered from her time her as a young kit. Sally's tail curled in anxiety holding Phoenix's carrier she started the climb up the stairs one of the staff approaching her.

"If its not too much trouble Ma'am I will take the Lady from you-" Sally turned snarling.

"Touch her and I bite you." The servant backed away sweating in fear.

"That anger issue still bothering you sweetie, shame you're so cute when you're not snarling." Richard commented stepping up the stairs waiting for Sally who was lagging behind holding the carrier in two hands. Finally they both made it to the front doors, two servants in winter coats waiting, opening the door with a bow. To say that Sally was a princess wasn't a very far delineation from the truth her family the Yoles had been influential since the early days of colonization their name signed on the first treaty between the feral tribes and the humans, she came from a line of adventurers, explorers, daredevils, risk takers and what people could say were heroes all pioneers in their respective life time. Then there was her grandfather, a great scientist and one of twelve individuals who received the alien technology that lead to rejuvenation even a twelfth of the profits from those discoveries was enough to make Sally's family multi billionaires. Sally loved her grandfather because despite developing such a terrible thing he had noble intentions, he wanted to introduce recovery less medical treatment for humans and antrho's alike. His dream was to be able to visit a hospital near death and be able to leave two hours later healthier than ever but the other eleven saw it differently. His work was taken from him and he was given compensation but his dream was shattered and he grew too old, too quick, to do anything about it ironically.

In the current age, old age was just a stage of life. Anyone suffering from old age could treat it like a disease and be cured of it through medical rejuvenation turned into Penitatas but not given any of the punishments these people were treated like small adults or given the choice allowed to have another family raise them if their own family was deceased or not interested. With Immortality available the world entered an age of peace but Sally's grandfather refused to rejuvenate and died at the age of ninety in his room in a small house outside of a flower field, a place Sally valued very much as her happy place despite it having such a tragic story. Sally fondly remembered Grandpa and vowed to revitalize his dream and make his micro rejuvenation a reality but now once again the curse of Penitatas stood to engulf the dream of the Yoles family.

When they stepped in the cold was banished by a lukewarm atmosphere, Richard removing his gloves, scarf, and coat handing them to an equine maid. "Your room is where you left it, for the time being you can remain there, we will have it renovated to reflect your current tastes." Richard walked off into the house leaving Sally alone with Phoenix a fleet of maids staring at her.

"What are you looking at." Sally said with an annoyed tone stepping back as one of the maids, a female cat approached her, she was wearing a black uniform with a white apron and white leggings with black shoes, very typical. "Do you have a problem?" Sally growled but the smile the maid wore disarmed her.

"Miss, if its not too much trouble may we.. hold her?" The maid was barely containing herself a child like sparkle in the presence of a baby, a very common response for young females to have.

"No." Sally responded and covered her mouth the destroyed look the feline gave her made her soul hurt. "I mean, not alone, you can do it when I'm around to supervise, I don't trust any of you.. yet." Sally sighed, she may have been a princess but she wasn't a frost queen. The feline squealed happily and reached down to unstrap Phoenix and picked her up rubbing her cheek against her.

"OH she's so soft and adorable look at those beautiful wings, Miss you are so lucky!" The excitable little feline purred and Phoenix giggled pushing her face away. "Oh no, I think I hear the sound of a ticklish baby!" The felines tail bobbed and swished as she held Phoenix out and pulled her in putting her lips to her belly and blowing raspberries making Phoenix squeal and kick happily. Sally was, relieved, to see that the staff didn't seem to share the same sentiments as her father, each of the maids assembled took a turn holding and touching or tickling or kissing Phoenix's cheek and belly and forehead until she started to get overwhelmed and reached for Sally the maids recognizing that they were being too zealous and handing her back "Bye bye cutie I hope we can play again later." The feline giggled handing her back to Sally bowing to her mistress and turning to walk away.

"Your name?" Sally asked taking Phoenix back into her arms.

"Josephine Olick" Josephine turned back around giving another bow.

"Come to my room later Josephine after she's been given lunch she should be in a better mood." Sally smiled and Josephine grinned nodding and giving a happy clap.

"Okay girls back to work, the miss is busy and we have a house to keep, no cleaning no eating you know the drill!" Josephine directed the other maids who scurried along apparently the head maid of the house.

"At least there's one person I can count on." Sally whispered kissing Phoenix's head and carrying her in her arm up to her old room. Walking down the long hall way past the stairs Sally saw those ugly paintings she hated so much as a kid, still feeling their eyes on her. She walked until she came to a room she had honestly wished she forgot existed the room of her elder brother Charles. Slowly she approached it, hoping to open it and hear the soft percussion of his drums being played to a recorded track, the smell of his deodorant, the sight of his dark chestnut fur and the feel of his warm hands across her face. To Sally's disappointment when she opened the room she saw a pastel pink cream color on the walls replacing the eggshell blue, a pile of stuffed animals on the bed that was a quarter her size, dressers and chairs white and pink and in the center of the room playing with a life sized doll, a little amber yellow kit wearing a blue shirt and white skirt. "Hello, Jessica." Sally said very sadly seeing her look up at her with bright wide eyes.

"Big sister!" Jessica dropped her dolly and ran over latching onto Sally's knees almost knocking her to the floor. "I thought you were never ever coming back what happened?" Jessica purred and rubbed her head against Sally's leg.

"I changed my mind, some, things happened." Sally lied not feeling like explaining the actual events to a child. Jessica was only nine but she met Sally first when she was two, a bitter sweet meeting as Jessica had just come to the Yoles house and Sally was already seventeen and a moody rebellious teenager. Sally loathed Jessica but it wasn't Jessica's fault she loathed what Jessica represented because as long as Jessica existed her big brother Charles was gone forever, Jessica was Charles's Penitatas name.

It happened back when she was sixteen, a young and naive teenager she hung around her twenty five year old brother constantly. Both children of the same mother Sally was practically raised by Charles, more of a father than Richard ever was. Ever since Sally was in diapers Charles was always there when Richard was too busy working building his own legacy to hand down to Charles, an active prosecutor for the government he was earning a respectable salary but had no time away from the office, actually spending weekends and sleeping there himself. Luckily Sally had Charles despite having a nanny paid to watch her Charles did most of the babysitting, as they both grew up Sally grew to love Charles and adored him. That was why she was heart broken when it happened.

She remembered it vividly, there was a party and Charles was attending, a fight broke out between two guys over some slutty girl. Charles stayed out of it until the weapon was drawn,he leaped into the fight and wrestled the gunman to the ground but in the struggle the gunman was shot by his own weapon. The father of the shooter was another big family, so it was perceived that the case would be a battle of the titans, but the truth was it was settled quietly in backrooms, as powerful as the Yoles family was they were by no means the most powerful. Sally remembered the day of the trial vividly, Charles was escorted in in cuffs and chains his tail bound to his legs. The clack of the shackles haunting her memories.

"The defendant is charged with murder of the first degree, how does he plead?" The judge asked and Charles looked sadly at the man sworn to uphold 'justice'

"Not guilty." He responded and the assembled court murmured among themselves.

"I see, does the prosecution have evidence they'd like to present?" The judge turned and Richard stood up on the side of the plaintiff.

"Yes your honor, we would like to introduce to the court, exhibit A, the murder weapon an unregistered gun containing only the prints of the defendant." Richard spoke so calmly and confidently that it was like he didn't know Charles at all, Charles looking at his father with remorse as he tried to prove his guilt when he knew he was innocent. "Clearly the defendant is guilty as charged else there would be more prints on the weapon, this case is a farce." Richard sat back down tapping his papers against the desk.

"There were prints, you just had them removed." Charles felt the anger building, his own father was trying to sentence him to jail, the man he always at the very least trusted even if he never admired him, he respected him like a son should, so why now of all times when he needed his father most was he sitting across the table holding the knife to stick in his back.

"OBJECTION!" Richard called out. "The defendant is making false claims against the court, the justice system, the presiding officers of the investigation and myself." Richard spoke out and the judge nodded.

"Sustained, the defendant will refrain from making inflammatory claims with no evidence." The judge tapped his gavel.

"Does the defense have any evidence they'd like to introduce?" The judge asked and Charles's nervous new lawyer stumbled fumbling with her papers. A friend of Charles who just obtained their license they agreed to represent the broke defendant, with none of Richard's money he couldn't afford a competent defense.

"Yes sir!" The twenty something year old doe replied receiving a stern glare from the cougar judge. "I MEAN your honor, yes we'd like to introduce these eye witness testimonies, er testimony, of the incident who claim that the defendant stopped a murder and did not commit one." The doe trotted up to the bench her tight skirt making some of the more lecherous males in the jury whistle.

"Two things Miss French, one never wear that in my court room again or I will have you disbarred, and two this testimony is inadmissible." The cranky old cougar leaned forward growling.

"Why's that they're perfectly good testimony, they have the time, the date, the place, everything required!" Miss French argued and the cougar shook his head.

"Because they're YOUR testimonies, you are a relationship to the defendant and your own testimony can not be considered evidence due to bias, what are they putting on the bar exam these days?" The cougar sighed and Miss French trotted back to her seat defeated.

"Sorry Charlie, I tried." Miss French looked like she was going to cry but Charles being the guy he was just smiled.

"I have faith in you Nicole, you did a good job, lets get a beer after this and celebrate okay?" Charles knew he was doomed, his incredibly experienced father against his earnest but inexperienced friend there was no hope in hell.

"I hardly see a point to continuing this case as there is no evidence counter, so I will give the defendant a choice, you can amend your claim, admit guilt and serve twenty years in a containment facility with chance of probation, or cling to this futile joke and face the full extent of the law, you are Prosecutor Yoles son and he's put away many dangerous criminals so I'm willing to risk my reputation and give you a second chance." The cougar judged offered and Charles went to open his mouth.

"MY BIG BROTHER IS INNOCENT!" Sally yelled from the back of the court room. "HE WOULD NEVER KILL ANYONE YOU'RE ALL BEING STUPID!" Sally shouted and the court erupted into a rolling cacophony of jeers, shouts, and laughter.

"ORDER IN MY COURT ROOM!" The cougar snarled and the room went silent. "Bailiff remove her from the court, no need to place her in contempt but she will not be witnessing the rest of this trial if she can not behave herself!" The cougar pointed at Sally her hair raised on end, a large orca grabbed Sally and escorted her out the witnesses laughing slightly at the young girl acting out. "Now, Charles Yoles, you stand accused with overwhelming evidence of murder in the first degree, knowing the consequences how do you plead?" The cougar looked at Charles, Richard looked at Charles knowing that his deal would work, he got Charles the best deal he could with his limited sway.

Charles smirked up to the judge smiling as he faced the executioner. "You heard my baby sister, I'm innocent, you're all just stupid." Charles laughed making the court erupt and after screaming and hissing himself sore the cougar snarled down the Charles.

"Very well then, if you insist, under the power of the government I hereby sentence you Charles Yoles under the charge of murder to be subjected to rejuvenation for six cycles from the ages of two to seventeen ADDITIONALLY," The cougar smirked. "You will be denied the access to your Y Chromosome for the duration of your sentence and upon review be permitted to choose which sex you will be at the end of your sentence, court is dismissed." The cougar banged the gavel and Charles's fate was sealed.

Sally was taken home by one of the servants tears in her eyes. "They're going to kill him, they're going to kill my big brother!" She sobbed into an uncaring nanny who simply brushed her off. "You don't care, NONE OF YOU CARE YOU'RE ALL EVIL!" Sally screamed but she was ignored, she was always ignored, she was always alone now that Charles was gone.

A day later a knock came at the door, Sally dressed in black as if she were attending a funeral answered it to see someone from the DoJo holding their hand was a tiny toddler standing with their thumb in their mouth tail swaying in the spring breeze. "Is your father home, little girl?" The female agent asked and Sally looked down seeing the fate of Charles. Richard pulled a lot of back door favors to get Charles placed back in his care making him the legally adopted daughter of one of his servants who signed over rights and custody to Richard. Charles Yoles was now Jessica Parker and would be raised on the Yoles property for the duration of their sentence, a three yellow star convict.

Sally didn't take to Jessica she wouldn't accept her existence but when it became clear that nobody had any intention to raise Jessica she would occasionally visit her room, read her a book, play blocks with her. Slowly Sally grew to enjoy Jessica but she could never be around her for long because every four hours her nanny would come in, paddle in hand. Sally never sat through one of Jessica's sessions too torn to see her big brother beaten as a little girl. After the session when she was left to sit sobbing on the floor in her room alone Sally would console Jessica wrapping her up in her arms and holding her, saying softly that "Sally was there." Charles's beatings were bad at first he refused to accept his new name and form but after a year through fear or perhaps tiring of fighting he began to call himself Jessica and slowly began to really believe he was a little girl. Three years later after Sally graduated high school at the age of eighteen she prepared to leave with Daz, they would go to a college far away and come back after graduation, Sally was going to fight Richard for custody of Jessica if he even cared to try. That was four years ago, Jessica was no longer a toddler kit but a pretty young girl who had willingly surrendered her male identity, perhaps believing they were a dream.

"I'm glad you're back big sister." Jessica snapped Sally out of her memory, day dreaming was really becoming an issue for her in recent days, a lot of bad memories bubbling up after years of being forced down. "I was sad when you left cause nobody wants to play with me!" Jessica whined and Sally smiled moving to the center of the room and sitting down with Phoenix in her lap she pat the ground next to her telling Jessica to come play. "Really!?" Jessica giggled and padded over taking a seat grabbing her life sized doll. "You've got your own dolly, he he." Jessica pointed at Phoenix and Sally shook her head.

"No, that's my baby, my real baby.. would you like to hold her?" Sally asked stroking Phoenix's hair. Jessica stood up and moved over holding her hands out. "Careful she's very young." Sally was choking back tears, it hurt her to see Jessica to know Charles was in there, maybe, maybe he was gone like Hex maybe the Penitatas system was a form of death penalty just not physical death. "Support her back and head, like that." Sally directed and Jessica picked Phoenix up holding her, looking into her crystal blue eyes.

"Oh she's so pretty big sister, wait, if you're big sister and this is big sisters baby does that make Jessica an auntie?" Jessica smiled and Sally nodded covering her mouth to hide her frown. "He he Aunt Jessica, no Auntie Jess, no, Aunt Jessie!" Jessica cycled through her titles and finally picked one. "Big sister, she's stinky." Jessica pointed out holding Phoenix out from her.

"Well she probably pooped in her diaper, she is just a baby, I'll change her." Sally resumed her fake smile taking her bag off her shoulder and pulling out her supplies laying them down on the playroom floor.

"I wanna watch!" Jessica said and Sally looked at her surprised. "If Jessica's ever gonna be a mommy she needs to know, I wanna watch please big sister?" Jessica pleaded and the sentence struck deep within Sally, if Jessica was ever going to be a mother, it was still her first cycle of six, by the time that she would ever conceivably be a mother Sally would either be dead or rejuvenated it was just impossible to even fathom.

"Yeah sure." Sally cleared her mind and went to task setting Phoenix down, the first time she'd been awake for a diaper change her cognitive capacity was improving, she was only semi aware when Miss Kerry changed her the previous day, Sally didn't know how long it would take for a fully formed two year old brain to get up to capacity, she knew Phoenix was mentally slow but it wasn't a question of why, it was a question of how long, she was catching up with some pace so Sally thought she would try some simple commands. "Alright baby hands up!" Sally put her hands up and Phoenix mimicked. "Good girl, just like that hands up!" Sally smiled and cooed Jessica watching over her shoulder.

Sally pulled down the front of Phoenix's diaper a pasty mess inside, she had processed the pudding and formula properly which was good it meant her digestive track wasn't damage. "Who made that stinky mess?" Sally asked taking the clean front of the diaper and wiping away Phoenix's thighs watching her giggle and squeal proudly. "That's right Phoenix did, cause she's a big girl and can go poopy all by herself she doesn't need to be pressed anymore how big." Phoenix raised her arms and Sally laughed smiling. "That's right that big, so big." Sally continued to observe Phoenix's eyes, she did have training as a medical examiner she knew the signs of mental activity and response to stimuli. "Up, bottom up." Sally tapped Phoenix's legs and waited, she tried but couldn't raise her backside her wings stiffening to try and facilitate. "So good, you almost did it, big girl." Sally clapped and grabbed Phoenix's ankles lifting her off the diaper and grabbing a wipe began to clean her backside and taint making sure to be thorough, looking over at Jessica's amazed face, she wondered is this how Miss Kerry saw her a day ago. "ALL clean" Sally tucked the wipes away and rolled the diaper up to dispose of it later, this room didn't have any proper receptacles. "Get me a diaper will you?" Sally asked Jessica making her jump in surprise, padding over to the bag she pulled out a fresh diaper looking at it, it wasn't too long ago that she was wearing them. "Now, take it, unfold it, place it on the ground beneath her bottom and pull the tapes out on the side." Sally began directing Jessica letting her handle the sanitary parts. "Don't forget to talk to her while you do it, a stranger changing her could make her nervous just tell her how good she is and compliment her." Sally felt a welling pride she felt like a real mother.

"O-okay." Jessica nervously knelt down sliding the diaper underneath Phoenix while Sally held her up. "G-good girl, you're such a good girl you let mommy change you and you didn't cry or fuss, such a big girl." Jessica stammered and mumbled not sure if she was doing it right but Sally nodding gave her confidence. "Yeah you were so good that you won't get a spanking after." Sally's eyes went wide hearing what Jessica said with no remorse. "He he you have such a cute bottom too, I bet it wiggles." Jessica gave Phoenix's bottom a light pat making her tense up. "Now, you be good or I'll take that diaper down and paddle your naughty bo-" Sally's hand came across Jessica's face slapping her hard with the back. "OW, OW, OW!" Jessica whimpered looking at Sally her chest quickly rising and falling as she stared at her. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't I do.. aaaahhh" Jessica began to cry bawling out which set Phoenix off the two girls sobbing hard one with a red hand print across her face. It took a while for Sally to come back down snapping back to two bawling children. "BIG SISTER HIT JESSICA WAAAAAH!" Jessica bawled rubbing her eyes.

"Jessica, what you said to her was uncalled for, I don't appreciate you talking to my child like that IF she is in need of discipline I will handle it, you don't get to talk to her like that even if she is your niece, you're just a little girl yourself." Sally felt the back of her hand taping Phoenix up and holding her coddling her until she stopped crying looking up at Sally with those big blue eyes.

"I'M SORRY I DIDN'T KNOW I'M SORRY BIG SISTER PLEASE DON'T SPANK JESSIE I WON BE NAUGHTY AGAIN!" Jessica wailed and Sally sighed reaching over with her other arm and grabbing her making her yelp and squirm. She placed Jessica in her lap but sitting, wrapping her arm around her and resting her head on top of Phoenix and Jessica's head. "You, not gonna spank me?" Jessica sniffled and Sally shook her head brushing the two with her cheek.

"I already punished you, which was wrong, I should have told you to stop but I got angry and lashed out spanking you won't do anything but help me not feel angry but that's not how you should be treated Jessica, you're a little girl, not an adult you're going to misbehave by accident and its my job as an adult to correct you, I'm sorry I slapped you Jessica can you forgive me?" Sally spoke in a calm and very soft tone still furious, what did they do to this girl that she thought it was appropriate to talk to other children like that, children only repeated the language they heard themselves.

"Sally, I'm so proud of you, you've become such a good grown up" A rare break in the facade, Charles shining through his deep and powerful voice echoing in Sally's head as she looked and saw the little girl her brother hand become smiling back at her. "I forgive you big sisser, I'm sowwy I made you smack me I shouldn't of told Phoenix I would spank her." Jessica nuzzled into Sally and Phoenix reached out grabbing Jessica hugging her.

"Phoenix forgives you." Sally smiled continuing to hold her big brother/little sister tight.

After the tears were done Sally and Jessica played dolls while Phoenix watched grabbing at Sally and Jessica's tails when they passed, given a part in their game. Sally genuinely enjoyed herself playing with Jessica, there was plenty of time to be upset later, to be hurt, and angry, and sad, and scared but right now for that moment it was just three girls playing dolls together as a family on Christmas Morning.
