"On my way!" said Jake before hanging up. Sure enough within 5 minutes he was there with a tow truck, but Chance wasn't there. Jake got out and hooked the car. "Say Ms. Briggs, I'd imagine you'd need a ride with your car gone."

"That'd be lovely," nodded Callie, "Thank you!" she got into the passenger seat of the truck and relaxed in the air conditioning. Jake got in and after strapping his seat belt began driving. Callie saw his face in the mirror and smiled. She'd had a crush on Jake for a while now, but he never seemed to response. She wasn't sure if he was just polite or truly never noticed. Callie then remembered her heat problem. Maybe...she'd take a risk.

"Where to Ms. Briggs?" asked Jake. Callie was startled back to reality, and with a decision. She was going to take that risk.

"Honestly," she said, "I can't imagine the tire change and dent will take long. Plus today's a slow day. I can just hang at your workshop if you don't mind." Jake was a bit surprised but didn't show it.

"Alrighty," he nodded as he kept driving. Eventually they pulled into the workshop. Jake had Callie's car pulled into the garage. Chance still wasn't anywhere to be found, which was perfect.
