Bottom Bench
Multiple animals sitting on each other unaware.
The sun blazes intensely on a cloudless, mid-summer morning and many people are carrying battery-powered fans with them as a result while some have to find other ways to stay cool. One of these is a skunk named Chris who wipes some more sweat from his brow as he finishes the rest of his double cheeseburger then pats his stomach. Normally he'd be inside playing video games; however, thanks to a toy car not being put away, the air conditioner is being repaired and his boyfriend is currently cleaning cereal out of the couch, so he put on his sandals to get some fast food and a bag of bird seed. He's thankful that his cargo shorts have a slit in them at the back, it might not be much but it's helping to keep his cheeks somewhat cool as the wind blows through it.
He can see that he's almost at the park, which he knows has a bench under a large tree which would give him plenty of shade which he hopes to get before anyone else can take it from him. He quickens his pace as he walks into the park glad to see that the bench is unoccupied and wastes no time sitting down; he pulls on the collar of his v-neck and then throws out handfuls of seeds which quickly attract some pigeons that coo softly as they eat.
When the bag is empty he leans back and pats his stomach again which is feeling slightly uncomfortable with the gas rumbling inside. After checking to make sure no one else is here, he presses his hands against his soft belly to relieve some of the pressure. The resulting flatulence feels strange to him, almost as if there's something in his butt that's blocking it, but he eventually manages to push it out, getting to enjoy the vibrations that farting has on his butt.
He pokes and prods his belly, listening to the sounds it makes. His boyfriend always opens the windows when he's gassy, which he can understand since it smells bad even to him. He grunts again, letting out a big, bubbling stinker that almost makes him want to pinch his nose when he catches a whiff of it; he adjusts himself in his seat and releases a silent one that lingers in the air, enjoying himself too much to notice the fat wolf jogging towards him.
It seems that even the weather is telling Andrew to stay inside, but the wolf promised his girlfriend that he'd go jogging with her today and he doesn't want to break his promise. He puts on new clothes - shorts, sleeveless shirt, and running shoes, all red - and heads outside the house to see her doing a few warm-up stretches; she's wearing the same clothes that he is, except hers have more wear and tear and they're blue. They both set off jogging and she makes sure to slow down so he can keep pace with her.
She shows him her usual scenic route at the beachside and through the town which is quite the view, but Andrew's legs are already aching from exhaustion even though he has only been jogging for a few minutes, his girlfriend notices this and can see that he's been pushing himself hard enough to have a well-deserved rest while she continues on her own to come back when she's finished.
He jogs towards the nearby park to a bench he knows is placed under a tree which should give him plenty of shade. While heading towards it he can see a bunch of pigeons pecking at the ground; the pigeons scatter as he gets close and he watches them fly into the nearby trees as he sits down.
Andrew notices that the bench feels less comfortable than usual, perhaps the heat has caused the wood to warp, but the nearest bench is out in the sun and he's too tired to go looking for another place to sit so he'll just have to deal with it. He wipes away some sweat and pulls out his water bottle which slips out of his hands. He bends over, stretching to reach it, when he hears a weird noise which he ignores as he reaches for the bottle again and manages to pick it up and chugs it.
Chris stares as the wolf's pants have a new hole that reveals a second, rancid hole that the wolf doesn't even notice. With another stretch, a meaty smell assaults Chris' nose with a silent hiss that he can feel blowing his fur back. He would cover his nose if his hands weren't pinned down. He opens his mouth to shout at the wolf but he's interrupted by a loud, bassy fart into his lungs which makes him gag. Seeing this as a challenge, Chris lets out a squeaker of his own.
Upon hearing his loud fart, Andrew blushes and looks around, thankful that no one else is in the park. When he sniffs the air the holds his snout in disgust while wondering if his farts actually smell that bad. Feeling more gas building up, he leans slightly and farts again, this one almost as loud as before but much longer, hoping to get rid of it all before meeting back up with his girlfriend.
Not wanting to be outdone, Chris grunts as he pushes as hard as he can but it doesn't take much convincing for the gas to force itself out, the seven-second fart polluting what little clean air remains under him; although he usually hates farting in public he'll make an exception this time. His next burst is strong enough to make the wolf's eyes water, which makes him unable to see the elephant through his tears until it's too late.
The sunlight beams through the window onto Ray's closed eyes; he instinctively rolls over falling off the couch and onto the floor. Struggling to his feet, the elephant sees a bunch of crushed beer cans beneath him and stained plates on various pieces of furniture; it takes a few seconds for him to remember that he's currently at his friends' house. He rubs his eyes and ambles to the bedroom to let his friends know that he's leaving, but sees they're still asleep, cuddling each other in bed, so he decides to just grab a key to let himself out quietly and then drop it through the door.
Once outside he gives a big stretch and lazily scratches his butt when he feels something wrong, he looks down and is shocked to see that he isn't wearing pants; he looks through the living room window and can see his large, black shorts hanging above the radiator. He rushes in the direction of his house in a panic to get some pants; on the way home he spots a nearby clock and sees that it's almost time for people to head to work, which means that the streets will soon be filled with people who'll see him pantsless. Thinking quickly, he takes a detour through the park and makes his way to a bench that's shaded under a tree, looking back in the direction he came from checking to see if anyone saw him, and sits down.
Now that rush hour is upon him he pulls down his stained, sleeveless shirt and sighs with relief that he made it in time, hoping that no one will notice that he isn't wearing any pants since he's sitting; he takes the time to try to remember how he lost his pants: he remembers going to their house, watching television, being challenged to a bean eating contest, watching the other two get drunk, and then one of them spilt their drink on his pants so they were put above the radiator to dry.
Ray can feel the gas from last night's challenge coming back. He was easily able to eat more beans than his friends but his stomach has been feeling off since then, and worse still all this gas buildup is trying to force its way out. His stomach churns and aches, he belches loudly but can feel most of it move down through his intestines. He looks around and is glad to see that he's the only one in the park, but he's not sure how long that will last so he decides to take advantage of this opportunity. Ray lifts up his tail and tries to relax while gently pressing on his stomach.
The elephant's weight is pushing the wolf's nose deep into his anus and the skunk's nose deep into the wolf's; it only gets worse as the elephant's farts are squeezed out past his snout which singes it with the super hot wind, but most of it goes straight down the wolf's gullet which pushes out the gas that's already being produced by him which in turn flows down the skunk's throat mixing with his gas and causing him to fart; the pressure is also strong enough to cause him to spray through the slit in his pants which makes him blush. It's as if Andrew and Chris have merely become part of Ray's digestive track which seems to be producing gas almost as fast as it's being emptied; the smell alone is nauseating but the taste is like a tempest of raw sewage being pushed down their mouths, a mixture of farts, sweat, and skunk juice drenching the bench.
Ray can feel his face getting redder with each passing second. He never thought he'd spend his morning sitting on a park bench pantsless and farting a really loud hurricane out of his backside non-stop for over two minutes, especially something that could out-stink a skunk. He looks back at the road and can see that the traffic is still going strong, but unfortunately so is his stomach. He pinches his trunk as a thick, green fog surrounds the bench, the flowers are wilting and an unconscious bird falls out of the tree; the smell is so bad that he feels like he could pass out any moment.
He's lost track of how long his fart has been blasting out of his rear end for, but he can feel it easing off into occasional bubbles of hot air. He takes another glance at the road and sees that the rush hour is finally over and with his gas purged he takes the chance to quickly leave and head home, farting with each step he takes. Andrew, somehow managing to clear his mind enough to stand on shaky legs, gets back to his jog, though at a much slower pace. Chris just wants to pretend that this was some nightmare and walks away to call his boyfriend to come pick him up.
In the end all that's left on the bench is a barely conscious mouse with his brown fur coated in sweat, his belly bloated with the gas of three different animals, and an erection staining his shorts. He's been coming to this bench every day for months and almost every time he gets great entertainment for free, being smothered by massive cheeks and inhaling the fumes of many different species, which isn't surprising considering that most of the people in this city don't look before sitting down (his fur and clothes blending in with the bench also help), but this is the first time he's been skunked. He takes the time to bask in what he just experienced knowing that, unfortunately, the bench is unlikely to be used for the rest of the day considering how it smells. It was worth missing breakfast to get here early.
