Shrunk-Lily-altend
In this non-canon short story of my characters, Ellie uses a shrink potion rather than they shrink ray used in later stories. There are several versions of this story, but this is the version I like the best.
Jason managed to get back to sleep and was awoken when Ellie entered with his dinner. She brought him more of the split pea soup though this time she didn't try to feed it to him. Jason enjoyed the soup, but he wished Ellie would bring him some meat as well. He was sure he'd be fine for a while, but after all, he was an obligate carnivore. However, he didn't want to sound ungrateful for the effort she was putting in, even if he thought it was excessive.
Ellie left and came back with a plate of braised cauliflower and a bowl of grass and dandelions. She sat down at the foot of the bed facing him and started to eat her dinner.
"It's kind of nice to have someone to eat dinner with," she commented. "How are you feeling now?"
"Nearly recovered," he answered. "I think tomorrow I'll be right as rain, ready to get back to work."
"I'll be the judge of that. Besides, tomorrow is Saturday, a good day to relax and get a little TLC."
Jason finished eating and Ellie took away their dishes. He was settling back down when he began to feel a tingling throughout his body. Then everything seemed to grow up around him while he sunk down into the bed.
"What's going on?!" he cried in alarm.
Ellie rushed back into the room and stared at him, her expression shifting from worried to eager. She bounded across the room and up onto the bed and scooped him up in her arms. The suddenly much larger rabbit cradled him easily.
"I can't believe it worked! That was the best fifty credits I ever spent!"
"What?! What's going on, Ellie?" he asked in shock.
She beamed down at him, "The shrinking potion I bought online actually worked! I was sure it was a scam, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I can't believe it!"
In utter confusion, "What? You did this? What did you do to me? Why?!"
Ellie shifted him in her arms to hug him to her chest. "It's okay, Jason. You're just a smaller kitty now. You'll be fine; I'll take care of you."
"You'll take care of me?"
"Yes, I can't let you go out on your own at this size. You'll just have to live with me now. I'll keep you safe."
"But why, Ellie?!" Why would you do this to me?! I'm your partner and your friend!"
"I did it because I love you, Jason."
"L-love?"
"Yes, I couldn't admit it to myself for a long time, but I finally realized that I adore you. I need you to be with me the rest of my life, and now we can be."
"Why didn't you just tell me, Ellie?! I care for you too! I would have understood!"
"But you were too big, Jason, too dangerous. There would always have been a tiny part of me that was afraid of what you could do to me. I know you wouldn't have hurt me on purpose, but what if, in the heat of passion, you forgot about what your claws could do to me? Now, I don't need to worry." Holding him with one arm, she took his left hand between her thumb and index finger and gently squeezed to extend his claws. "These little claws may be sharp, but they can't really hurt me. Now, I'm safe with you, and you'll be safe with me. I'll take care of you. You're my little kitty now."
"But how will I help with cases when I'm so small?!" he protested.
"I'll get you a carseat, so you can still come with me, Jason. We'll always be together."
"You're going to just keep me?"
"Yes, you're mine now. I won't let you go, but I'll give you all that you need. We'll be happy together."
"So what am I?! Your pet?!"
"If that's how you want to see it, but I hope it will be more."
"More how?"
The insides of Ellie's ears pinkened. "What I mean is that I still love you even if you're small. I hope we can be intimate beyond snuggling."
Jason blushed as well, "Y-you want to have sex? But I'm a cat, and I'm so small now I doubt-"
"Even if you can't satisfy me that way, I'm sure there are still things we can do. Don't you find me attractive at all?"
Jason considered the giant rabbit warily. He didn't want to upset her by telling her he had no attraction to rabbits. "I-I'm not sure. I guess it could be pleasurable."
"Then you're open to trying it at least?"
He nodded.
Ellie shifted him to cradle him in her left arm against her chest, facing up. She ran her right hand down from his chest, over his belly, and stopped at his rear. She gently took his scrotum in her hand and fondled his testicles between her thumb and forefinger. Jason squirmed uncomfortably at the invasion of his most private and delicate area.
"Don't you like that?"
"I-it's a bit weird," he admitted.
"Let's try something else then."
She lay him on the bed on his back and crouched down behind him. Wrapping a hand around each of his legs, she leaned forward and began to lap at his genitals. Her warm, wet tongue stimulated him and he felt his penis begin to become erect and emerge.
"There we go," Elie crooned.
She lapped her warm tongue over his exposed penis, and he started at the sudden sensation.
Ellie looked up, "Don't you like that either?"
"N-no, it feels good. It just surprised me."
Ellie smiled warmly, and leaned back in. Taking his penis in her mouth, she began to gently suckle, her tongue wrapping around his penis as she drew it in with each suck. Waves of pleasure built in Jason's loins, and he began to moan softly. Finally, he climaxed with a surge of ecstasy.
"That was wonderful, Ellie," he purred.
She licked her lips and sat up. "Alright, now it's my turn." She lay back on the bed and spread her legs to reveal her vulva, which was already wet with her anticipation and pleasure at pleasuring him. Embarrassedly, he got up and crawled forward, lying on his belly to reach his mouth to her vulva. She reached forward with one hand to press his head in and he began to lap at her labia. He wasn't familiar with rabbit vaginas, but her sought her clitoris with his rasping tongue, and was soon rewarded with a little gasp of pleasure when he found it.
"That's it, kitty. Keep licking there."
He did as she requested and she began to moan, her volume increasing as he worked to stimulate her clit and labia until finally, she pressed his head in harder and shuddered with ecstasy as she orgasmed. However, Jason didn't stop but kept licking, reaching his long tongue deep into her vagina to stimulate the tender walls. Ellie continued to moan as he licked. Her vagina was sopping with juices, he lapped them up, drinking the warm fluids of her pleasure. Soon his efforts were rewarded with another sharp gasp and Ellie's trembling ecstasy as she orgasmed again. He kept lapping, but after a few minutes, Ellie sat up, pulling herself away.
"You're rough tongue feels amazing, Jason, but I can only handle it for so long before I'm too overstimulated," she breathed.
She lifted him under the arms and brought him up to her face where she licked his muzzle clean. She lay back down, bringing him down on top of her chest. Her brown eyes gazed lovingly up into his.
"My precious kitty. Aren't you glad I made you small now? We can be together like this forever."
"I still would have preferred to be my proper size."
Ellie stroked him from his head down his back. "But you can understand why it needed to be this way, right? We couldn't be intimate like this if I was afraid you might hurt me."
"I never would have hurt you."
"Not intentionally, I'm sure, but accidents can happen. I didn't want to find myself suddenly ripped open when we were engaged in a passionate moment."
"But what about me? Shouldn't I be nervous you'll hurt me by the same logic?"
"I won't hurt you, Jason. Anyway, rabbits don't have the same killer instincts to contend with. You're much safer with a big bunny than I was with a big cat."
"Maybe, but I still don't think it's right how you did this to me without even asking. I had no choice; you just fed me the potion."
"Would you have agreed?"
"No."
"Well, there you go then. I did what I had to do. I hope you can forgive me; I did it out of love."
Jason nuzzled her chest, "I understand, Ellie. I still think it was wrong, but if I'm stuck like this now, I'm not upset that it's you who I have to live with now. I would have lived with you if you'd just asked anyway. I-I love you too."
"Jason!" she breathed. "You really mean it? You love me too?"
"I do. I didn't realize it before, but I do now. If I had to be someone's pet, I'm glad it was yours."
Ellie hugged him close. "More than a pet, Jason: partners, friends, lovers. I'm going to take care of you from now on, but I don't want you to think of yourself as my property. We belong to each other."
"Alright, Ellie. Then if I'm your little kitty, I guess that makes you my big bunny."
She reached her head up to nuzzle his cheek, "That's right."
Ellie settled back onto the bed, holding and stroking him, and he snuggled against her chest, rising and falling with her breathing and listening to the beat of her heart. At length, they fell asleep together; Jason tucked snugly in the arms of his big bunny.

Monday, Ellie decided to take Jason to the police station to see Officer Schulz. Jason protested that he didn't want to see the bobcat like he was. But Ellie wanted to gloat about her new kitty toy, so she ignored his complaints. They arrived at the station first thing in the morning. Ellie emptied her satchel so that she could tuck Jason inside; she wanted it to be a surprise. Jason grumbled about it, but Ellie shoved him in anyway.
The rude prairie dog was at the front desk, and he glared at Ellie, "What are you doing here again?"
"I want to speak with Officer Schulz."
"I doubt she wants to speak with you!"
Ellie opened her bag, and Jason poked his head out, "I think she will," she stated smugly.
The prairie dog goggled at the miniature cat, "R-right this way." He hopped down from his chair and led Ellie to the office in the back of the station.
He opened the office door, allowing Ellie inside, and closed it behind her.
The bobcat sneered, "You again? Here to tell me how to do my job again?"
Ellie reached into her bag and lifted Jason out under the arms, "Look familiar?" she quipped.
The bobcat's mouth fell open as she stared at the diminutive Jason. "Jason?! What?! How?! Are you okay?"
"He's perfectly fine," Ellie answered. "He's just my little kitty now." She tucked him against her chest, cradled in her left arm and stroked his belly with her right hand. "My little toy."
"Ellie," Jason murmured irritatedly.
He'd asked her not to use the word 'toy.' But Ellie wanted to annoy the bobcat, and she couldn't think of a better word to do so.
Lily stared at them in horror, "Your toy?! That's sick!"
"No, it isn't. Jason adores me, and I adore him. He's perfectly happy this way." It was only partly true since he still frequently complained about the fact that she'd shrunk him, but again, Ellie was more concerned with annoying the bobcat.
"Adores you?" Lily asked incredulously.
Ellie smiled smugly, "He'll do anything I say. I've been going easy on him at first, but just wait until he's a little more used to it. I'll have him doing things that would make your fur stand on end."
Jason squirmed in her arms, looking worried, and Ellie stroked him to reassure him that she was exaggerating for the bobcat's benefit.
Enraged, the bobcat leapt over her desk and dashed forward. Taking Ellie by surprise, she grabbed her around the throat.
"You're sick!" she snarled. "I'm going to rip you apart for this, rabbit!"
"Don't, Lily!" Jason cried.
The bobcat looked down at him in surprise, "I'm going to rescue you from this monster, Jason!"
"I'm okay, Lily. I wish I was still my normal size, but I'm okay. Please don't hurt Ellie; I love her."
"Love?!" Lily gasped, flabbergasted. "But she's a rabbit, Jason! And, and look at how she's treating you!"
"I wish I could still take care of myself, but Ellie is treating me well. I know what she did was wrong, but there's nothing I can do about it now. If I'm stuck like this, I'd rather be with her than someone else."
"You want to be under the thumb of some rabbit, Jason? It's wrong! Come with me. I'll take care of you, another cat, not some impudent rabbit! I'll treat you with the dignity you deserve! You can't live as a rabbit's toy! That's disgusting!"
"I love her, Lily. I loved you once, and then I gladly would have chosen to live with you. But that ended a long time ago. Please don't hurt her! Let her go. Let us both go. I'll be okay."
Lily released Ellie. Shaking her head, she walked back around her desk to slump in her chair as if she didn't know what to do. She looked at the pair of them dolefully.
Recovering from the shock of having the bobcat's claws at her neck, Ellie smiled smugly. "If you want, you can join him! Jason could use a playmate his size, and I wouldn't object to having another little kitty. I'll be gentle with you, I promise."
"Get out," Lily growled.
Ellie decided not to push her luck any further. Dropping Jason back in her bag, she turned and hurried out of the office and the station. Despite having been briefly throttled, it had been a highly satisfactory visit. The nasty bobcat had been well and truly disturbed. Ellie hoped the horror of knowing there was a cat 'under the thumb of some rabbit' would keep her up at night. Ellie didn't figure she'd ever want to speak with them again, but she didn't really care since she couldn't stand the jerk.

However, the next weekend whilst Ellie was reading on the couch with Jason curled in her lap, she was surprised by a knock at the door. She set down her tablet and carried Jason over to the door to look through the peephole. Seeing the bobcat's spotted fur, she quickly took Jason to the bedroom and closed him inside. He could only open the doors with difficulty, having to jump to reach the knob and then dangle while he tried to turn it. Ellie returned to the door, but she was reluctant to open it. Maybe she decided to rip me apart after all.
"What do you want, Lily?" she called through the door.
"I just want to talk about, about what's best for Jason." The bobcat sounded concerned, possibly the least angry Ellie had ever heard her.
Ellie opened the door; the bobcat was wearing a black t-shirt instead of her uniform. "You want to discuss what's best for Jason?" she asked warily.
Lily nodded. "That's right," she sounded sincere.
"Okay, come in then."
Ellie stood to the side and the bobcat strode in. She had to duck slightly to avoid hitting her head on the door. Ellie motioned toward the table.
"Why don't you sit down, and I'll make us some tea. Then we can discuss this like reasonable adults."
The bobcat nodded curtly and went to sit at the left end of the table. Ellie went to the kitchen to make the tea. The bobcat waited surprisingly patiently whilst Ellie boiled the water, steeped the leaves, and poured the tea out into two white mugs. She added a spoonful of sugar to hers. Then she glanced furtively to make sure the bobcat wasn't paying attention and retrieved the shrinking potion from her spice cabinet, adding a single drop to Lily's cup. She quickly put the bottle away and turned to look at the bobcat: she still wasn't watching.
"I suppose you don't want sugar in yours," Ellie stated. "Would you like milk? I bought a small carton for Jason, but he'll never finish it."
The bobcat blinked, "That would be nice, thanks."
Ellie retrieved the pint carton from the fridge and poured some in the bobcat's mug. Then she brought both mugs over to the table and took a sip of hers to encourage the bobcat to do likewise.
Lily took a sip of her tea. "It's good, thanks," she stated politely. She took another sip.
Ellie had to restrain her excitement, which was more difficult than it had been when she had suspected the potion was a fake. "So what about Jason's welfare did you want to discuss?"
"I want to discuss which of us is better equipped to take care of him."
Ellie took a sip of her tea as if contemplating that question. Lily followed suit, taking another gulp of hers, which of course was cooler due to the addition of the cold milk.
"He seems to be doing alright with me," Ellie stated.
"Maybe for now," Lily conceded. "But you're a rabbit. You don't know the needs of a cat like I do."
"Jason can tell me anything he needs," Ellie countered.
"There could be some things he won't feel comfortable asking you to do for him. Do you want him to suffer because he was too embarrassed to ask you for something he needs?"
Ellie contemplated what the bobcat could possibly be talking about. Rabbits had the embarrassing requirement of eating their cecotropes, but she didn't think there was anything like that for cats. Meanwhile, Lily took another gulp of tea.
"Maybe you could tell me what those needs might be," Ellie suggested. "Jason did express his desire to stay with me."
"It'll be easier if I take him. Besides, it'll be better for him to be cared for by another cat. A cat shouldn't have to rely on the care of prey."
"But it's okay for him to rely on the care of his ex-girlfriend?" Ellie asked pointedly.
"I know I decided to break up, and I don't love him anymore. But I still care enough to want what's best for him."
"I do love him, and he loves me! We want to be together. I'd gladly accept your help if you would tell me what needs I might be missing, but I'm not going to give him up."
"You're sure? Even if I could take care of him better?"
"I am, and Jason's sure too! If he wanted to go with you, he would have said so Monday."
Lily gulped the rest of her tea. "Then there's nothing more for us to discuss," she growled. "I've tried to handle this politely, but since you won't see reason, I'll have to take you to court. We'll see who a judge thinks is better equipped to take care of him: his ex-girlfriend or the person responsible for putting him in this predicament to begin with!" She stood to go.
"I think you should stay just a few minutes longer," Ellie stated.
Lily scowled, "There's nothing more to discuss." She turned but then caught herself on the chair, appearing dizzy. She sat back down heavily. "Ugh!"
The bobcat began to shrink in her seat, shrinking more and more rapidly until she was dwarfed by her own t-shirt.
"W-what's going on?" she mewled in distress.
Grinning, Ellie hopped out of her chair and around the table and scooped the diminutive bobcat up under the arms; she appeared to have shrunken proportionally to Jason, meaning she was still a bit bigger than him but easy for Ellie to handle nonetheless.
"I laced your tea," Ellie explained. "And there's a lot more where that came from. I could shrink half of the cats in Maplesburg if I wanted."
Lily twisted and kicked, "Put me down, rabbit!"
Ellie shifted her hands up around Lily's arms and pulled them out taut. "Who's going to rip who apart now?" she taunted.
The bobcat's eyes widened in fear, "N-no!"
Ellie shifted her hold back down under her arms. "That's right. I wouldn't. That's the difference between you and me: I'm not that cruel. I told you I'd be gentle, and I will be."
Lily kicked and twisted more, "Let me go!"
Ellie gave her a condescending smile, "But you agreed that Jason needed someone to take care of him, and now, you do too. It just seems that's going to be me, in both cases."
"I'm not a toy for you to cuddle, rabbit!" the bobcat growled.
"I wasn't planning on it," Ellie corrected. "I really don't like you, so you won't be getting any cuddles from me. I'll find you a nice cage to live in. Won't that be fun? You can spend your days locked away contemplating what it was like having freedom instead of being a rabbit's prisoner."
Lily twisted desperately, "No!"
"Struggle all you want. You're mine now." Ellie carried Lily over to the oven, tossed her in, slammed it shut, and pulled the lock. "Hopefully, I'll remember to take you out before I decide to bake something," Ellie called.
Some people kept insects as pets and usually put them in aquariums or wire cages. Ellie drove to the pet store and bought the largest wire cage she could find, which she assumed was for keeping butterflies with enough room for them to fly in. She also bought a water bottle to attach to the inside. She then went to the supermarket to purchase a pillow for Lily to lie on and a padlock for the door.
Returning home, she found Jason had gotten out of the bedroom, but Lily was still trapped in the oven. She opened the oven to grab the bobcat: she was despondently curled into a ball, but she tried to make a break for it when Ellie reached for her. However, Ellie snagged her and carried her by the scruff over to the cage, which she had already put the pillow and water bottle in. She shoved Lily inside and quickly slammed the door down. She fixed the padlock in place and then gazed smugly at the imprisoned bobcat.
"How do you like your new home?" she taunted.
Lily grabbed the wire bars and shook the cage wall, "Let me out!" she wailed fearfully.
"Not so tough now, are you?" Ellie taunted. "I might let you out occasionally if you're very good."
"What about when I have to go to the bathroom?!"
"Then I'll take you out to the toilet."
"What if you're not here?!"
"Then you'll have to hold it," Ellie stated dryly.
Jason had been napping on the couch, and Lily's cries woke him. He came over to look at the cage, eyes wide with surprise, "Lily?! She shrunk you too?"
"She laced my tea! Jason! Tell her to let me out!"
Jason looked at Ellie and back to Lily. He shook his head, "I'm sorry, Lily."
"You're just going to let her keep me trapped like this?!" she cried.
"You kind of had it coming," Jason stated. "You should have just stayed away. I told you I wanted to be with Ellie."
"I don't!"
Jason shrugged, "It doesn't seem like you have much of a choice now. Don't worry. She'll take good care of you, and I will keep you company. It won't be all bad."
"How can you say that?! I'm a rabbit's toy! Of course it's all bad!"
"I can make it as bad as you want me to," Ellie taunted. "If you want me to torment you, I'll think of something."
"N-no!" Lily gasped in horror.
"Then behave, and I'll treat you well. I don't need you to suffer. Seeing you helpless like this is plenty."
Lily whimpered, and Ellie patted the top of the cage. She scooped up Jason, leaving the cage on the floor in the corner to the right of the table, and went back to the couch to read. She set Jason on her lap, and he looked up at her.
"You won't really torment her, will you?" he asked worriedly.
"Of course not, but I don't want her yowling all night. She should believe that there will be nasty consequences for misbehaving so that I don't actually have to think of any."
Jason nodded hesitantly.
"Don't worry. She'll get used to the idea before long. Once she accepts her new life, I won't have to threaten her anymore."
"Okay, Ellie."
He curled up in her lap, and she stroked his back. She went back to reading with her warm little kitty napping in her lap. This was a new life she would have little trouble getting used to.
A few hours later, Ellie heard Lily yowling in distress from the dining area.
"Rabbit? Rabbit? Rabbit!"
"That's not my name!" Ellie called back.
Lily was silent a couple seconds. "Ellie?"
"Yes?"
"I need to use the bathroom."
Ellie set Jason aside and got up to take Lily out of the cage. Lily tried to jump out by herself when Ellie opened the door, but Ellie caught her.
"No, I'll carry you," she corrected.
She carried Lily to the bathroom, opened the lid of the toilet and sat her down. She stood watching the bobcat attentively, and bobcat looked back at her.
"I can go by myself," she grumbled.
"I'm sure you can," Ellie responded dryly.
The bobcat frowned and squirmed on the seat, "I can't go with you watching," she whined.
"If you really have to go, you can. I can put you back if you don't need to."
She squirmed more, "I do!" she cried. "Please look away!"
"No, I don't want you to try something."
Lily whimpered and squirmed, but finally she sat still. Ellie heard her pee tinkling into the toilet. The bobcat looked back at her, ashamed, while she peed. When the tinkling stopped, Ellie pulled off a piece of toilet paper and offered it to her.
"I'm not done," she whined. "Can't you leave the room?"
Ellie shook her head dourly.
Lily whimpered again, but then her face took on and expression of concentration. She averted her gaze from Ellie, and Ellie heard a series of feces drop into the water.
Finally, she turned to Ellie, eyes downcast in mortification, "I'm done," she murmured.
Ellie handed her a few pieces of toilet paper, one after another until she refused the last one. Ellie flushed the toilet and lifted the bobcat up to the sink to wash her hands. When she was done, Ellie picked her back up under the arms, and carried her out toward her cage.
"Please don't put me back in there!" she cried desperately.
"Where do you think I should put you?"
"Anywhere but there! I'll be good, I promise!"
Ellie decided to give her a chance. She wasn't likely to escape the apartment at any rate. She carried her over to the couch and set her next to Jason. The bobcat wrapped her arms around him.
"Jason! I'm so afraid!" she wailed.
Jason hugged her back and stroked her, "Don't worry, Lily. Ellie won't hurt you."
"I can't stand being so helpless, Jason! How can you bear it?"
"I'm still getting used to it myself, but you just have to trust that Ellie won't harm you."
"How can I trust a rabbit who hates me not to harm me? She wants me to live the rest of my life in a cage! That's harm enough!"
"You're not in the cage now, and I told you that I'd let you out if you behave. If you can prove to me that I can trust you, then you won't have to stay in the cage," Ellie responded.
Lily looked at her fearfully and hugged Jason tighter. Ellie began to feel guilty about how terrified the bobcat was. She didn't want to torment her; she just didn't want her to get away. Ellie sat on the couch, leaning against the near arm, and leaned forward to pull the two cats up onto her belly and thighs. Lily seemed disturbed to be in contact with her but Jason continued to hug her.
"Go ahead and lie down," Ellie instructed.
Hesitantly, Lily curled up on Ellie's belly, and Jason curled around her back, lying on Ellie's thighs. Ellie reached down to stroke the bobcat's side. She flinched at Ellie's touch but stayed put, watching her nervously. Ellie went back to reading, and after a little while, she glanced down to see the bobcat apparently dozing next to Jason. Ellie smiled softly. Maybe Lily wasn't so awful, or maybe feeling helpless had sapped her of her arrogance and contempt.
Before long, it was time to fix dinner. Ellie let the cats continue to sit together on the couch whilst she prepared dinner. She made herself a grass and radish salad along and some braised celery. She prepared the cats chicken seasoned with mayonnaise and sage and baked in the oven. The smell of the cooking meat bothered Ellie more than a little, and she had to sit at the table by the open window until it was done.
When everything was ready, Ellie brought the cats to the table, setting them on top of the right side together while she took the chair on the left. She tried to hold her breath while she cut off pieces of chicken for them. She then collected her own food and sat down.
"Jason told me how much the smell of meat bothers you, Ellie," Lily said. "Thank you for making this for us."
"I can't let you starve, can I?" Ellie replied lightly.
"Still, I'm grateful. You could make us eat raw meat, so you wouldn't have to deal with it."
"I want you to be able to enjoy your food too," Ellie stated.
"That's very kind of you. I know I wasn't ever kind to you when I was, when I was normal."
"That's all in the past now. You're my little kitty now, and I'll make sure you're taken care of. And if you're good, there will be more kindness for you. I don't like to be mean, not really. A little teasing is fun, but I don't want to cause you any real distress if I don't have to."
"I'll try to make it so you don't have to then, Ellie."
After diner, Ellie picked up Lily and carried her over to the cage.
The bobcat's eyes shot wide with fear when she saw where she was going, "No! Don't put me back in there! Please!"
"Jason and I need some time alone together. I'm not bringing you into the bedroom with us," Ellie stated dryly.
Lily grimaced and stopped protesting while Ellie locked her away. Ellie then fetched Jason from the table and cradled him to her chest.
"Ready for dessert, kitty?" she asked lewdly.
Ellie thought she heard a gag come from Lily, but when she looked, the bobcat was looking away. She carried Jason into the bedroom where they proceeded to 'have dessert.' Next, Ellie strapped a strap-on around Jason's waist so that he could fuck her; though, he got tired thrusting his entire body before too long, and Ellie had to help him. When they were done having sex, Jason licked her clean and then himself, and then they cuddled together a while longer, Jason pressed against her belly while she held him.
When they emerged from the bedroom, Lily meowed hopefully.
"Can I come out now?"
Ellie considered the time, "It's almost time for bed. Do you need to use the bathroom again?"
Lily nodded. Ellie took her to the bathroom. The bobcat was still embarrassed peeing in front of her, but she didn't verbally protest this time. After she had washed her hands, Ellie got her a toothbrush--she'd bought some mouse-size ones--so that she could do her teeth as well. Then she carried her back to the cage.
"I don't like it in there," she whined.
"I don't think Jason and I want you sleeping in bed with us either," Ellie stated apologetically.
Lily whimpered as Ellie lowered her back into the cage but didn't offer any further complaint or struggles.
"I assume you don't like to get wet," Ellie stated.
"N-no."
"Okay, Jason has convinced me that I shouldn't keep making him taking showers, so as long as you don't start to smell, I won't make you take one either."
"Thank Zeus!" she gasped in relief. "That would have been horrible!"
"Right," Ellie muttered. She still thought they should take a shower, but Jason had insisted it was a daily torture and put up such a tantrum that it had convinced Ellie to stop.
She and Jason went to bed, leaving Lily out in the cage on her own.
In the morning, Ellie got up and peed and put on a yellow tank top to go for a jog. She was on her way to get a glass of water when she heard Lily's cry.
"Ellie? I need to use the bathroom!"
Ellie went to the cage and opened it. When she reached in the get the bobcat, Lily wrapped her arms around Ellie's arm and rubbed her face against it, purring.
"Oh, thank you, thank you! Thank you, Ellie, thank you!" she purred frantically.
Ellie shook her head at the bobcat's undignified reaction. She didn't have the heart to tell her she was going right back in after she used the bathroom so that Ellie could leave for her jog. But after the cat finished in the bathroom, the cage is exactly where Ellie brought her.
"N-no! Not the cage! I can behave, I promise!"
"I'm going for a jog. I don't trust you loose in my home without me," Ellie explained.
"You can trust me! I won't do anything you wouldn't want me to!"
Ellie felt a bit guilty, but she shoved her back in the cage anyway. Lily moaned in despair as she locked the top.
"I'll only be gone a little while," Ellie promised.
Ellie took her normal jog. When she returned, Jason was up waiting for his breakfast. He looked at Lily concernedly as Ellie came in.
"I tried to talk to her, but she just stays like that," he said.
Ellie looked in the cage to see Lily curled up with her head buried in her arms. She was trembling intermittently. Ellie opened the top and reached in to pull out the bobcat and held her up to her face. Tears were running down her already wet cheeks.
"P-please don't make me go in there again," she begged. "It's so small; I feel like it's closing in on me."
"It was the biggest one I could find," Ellie apologized.
She set the bobcat on the floor, but she wrapped her arms around her leg.
"Let me know how I can make you trust me! I-I'll do whatever you ask!"
"Trust is something you have to build over time."
"But every moment I spend in that cage seems like days! I want you to trust me, to like me! I want to be your pet, not your prisoner! You're kind; I know you have it in you to forgive me for how horrible I was to you before! Please forgive me! Please let me roam free in your home, and I'll be grateful. I'll worship you if you want!"
Ellie grimaced. I never thought someone so arrogant would debase themself to this extent. "Fine. You can prove your loyalty with worship. From now on, you do what I say immediately, without complaint, and you thank me for my mercy."
Lily nodded eagerly, "Y-yes, Ellie. I'll do what you ask."
"Alright, get back in your cage."
Lily's face became a mask of horror, but she slowly stumbled over to the cage, climbed on top, and dropped inside. Ellie replaced the top and locked it. She looked at Lily expectantly.
"Th-thank you, Ellie," she choked.
Ellie nodded. She reopened the cage. "Alright, you can come back out."
Lily leapt out and again threw her arms around Ellie's leg, "Th-thank you, Ellie," she cried.
"Alright, now lie on the floor."
Lily complied, "No problem. Thank you, Ellie."
"Now beg me to stomp on you."
Lily's eyes went wide with fear, "P-please st-stomp on me, Ellie."
"Make me believe it! Tell me what you want me to do!"
"P-please stomp on me. Sma-ash my b-bones. Grind m-me into the floor."
Ellie placed her foot on the bobcat's back. The bobcat trembled but didn't try to get away. Ellie removed her foot.
"No. I wouldn't do something like that. Don't ask for it again."
"I-I won't! Thank you, Ellie!"
"You can get up now," Ellie instructed, satisfied at Lily's obedience.
Lily got to her feet, and Ellie lifted her up to cradle her in her left arm.
"If you keep being as obedient as that to your goddess, I'm sure you'll be rewarded," Ellie teased.
She rubbed the bobcat's belly, and Lily caught her hand and pulled herself up to rub her face on Ellie's arm.
"Thank you, Ellie," she breathed. "I'll be obedient. I'll be your pet, your toy, anything!"
"That's good. How does it feel to be under the thumb of some rabbit?"
"It's wonderful, Ellie! Thank you!"
Ellie smirked. "You're one of the lucky ones who gets to find that out. When you completely submit yourself to a rabbit, everything works out so much easier."
"It does, Ellie! Thank you!"
Ellie rubbed her cheek, and she purred fervently. Ellie lifted her up to nuzzle her between the ears, and she gasped with joy.
"Thank you, oh, thank you, Ellie!"
"Ask me to dash your brains against the table."
Lily's amber eyes gazed up at her with unwavering adoration, "Dash my brains against the table. Sever my cervical vertebrae. Crush my skull. Turn my brains to pulp."
"No. Don't ask me that again."
"Thank you, Ellie!"
Ellie nuzzled her again and set her down on the floor. She gazed up at Ellie, the picture of sincere worship and adoration. Ellie glanced at Jason: he was gawking at Lily with an expression of utterly shocked incredulity. Ellie smirked. She went to fix her two little kitties--her lover and her supplicant--breakfast.
Ellie prepared banana flax pancakes, and then prepared additional sausage for the cats. However, she found the smell of the cooking pork sausage link unbearable. She tried covering her face with a damp dish towel, but she could still hardly breath.
"Can I help you with that, Ellie?" a shy mew came from the floor.
Ellie looked down to see Lily looking concerned. "Do you think you can manage it?"
Lily leapt up onto the counter by the stove. Lifting the spatula with both hands, she used it to roll the sausage on the skillet. She turned to Ellie and nodded. Gratefully, Ellie went to sit with her head in the open window until Lily informed her the sausage was done. Ellie collected the food, and they all sat together as they had at dinner the previous night.
"Thank you, Lily. That was very helpful," Ellie stated.
"I don't want to be a burden on you, Ellie. Thank you for making this for us."
"Yeah, thanks, Ellie," Jason put in. "Of course if I was normal size, I'd have no problem cooking my own food," he added pointedly.
Lily looked at him and frowned. "I think I'm very lucky to be taken care of like this, Jason. Ellie doesn't have to be kind like this, but she is anyway. I wish there was more I could do to repay her."
Jason rolled his eyes and kept eating without further response.
After breakfast, Ellie decided to spend some time catching up on her favorite podcast. She sat on the couch with her feet up and with her tablet on the coffee table, listening to Cat and Mouse ramble on. Lily jumped up on the couch and crawled into Ellie's lap. Elie stroked her back, and Lily purred. Lily began to nuzzle Ellie's belly while she petted her. Lily's nose brushed against one of Ellie's nipples, which were of course small and buried in her fur since she didn't have a litter. Ellie thought nothing of it until the bobcat latched on and began suckling; at the same time she kneaded Ellie's belly with both hands, purring fervently.
"Hey!" Ellie pushed her off and rolled her over onto her thighs. She placed her hand on Lily's chest, holding her down, and stared at her incredulously, "What do you think you're doing?!"
"S-sorry, Ellie!" Lily stammered nervously. "I started feeling like I was with my mother, and then I found your nipple, and I, uh, I just got carried away."
"I'm not your mother," Ellie stated sternly.
"I-I know, but-"
"Just a week ago you were threatening to rip me apart!"
"I'm sorry about that! I've been trying to make up for-"
"Look, I appreciate the extent to which you've accepted your new station in life in one short day, but you aren't going to convince me of anything with a stunt like that!"
"I-it wasn't a stunt! It was a mistake! I'm sorry!"
Ellie gave her a dubious look, "Look, Lily, you've proven to me that you can be an ingratiating sycophant, and that's something at least. But you're a long way from having anything like the friendship I have with Jason, even before we were having sex!"
Lily's expression changed from worry to fear, "Y-you still hate me," she whimpered.
"I didn't say that."
Lily trembled and tears began to glisten in her amber eyes, "You still hate me. You're just waiting to hurt me when I'm not expecting it!"
"I'm not going to hurt you! I told you I'd be gentle. I promised!"
"But you hate me!"
Ellie lifted her up to cradle her against her chest. "Hey, I don't hate you. You just have a little ways to go to fully earn my trust, but I'm sorry I got angry. Maybe it was an honest mistake."
Ellie stroked Lily's belly, and Lily caught her hand and pulled herself up to rub against her arm.
"Can I think of you like my mother, Ellie?"
Ellie frowned, "You can think however you like, but I still want you calling me 'Ellie' and no nursing!"
"O-okay, thank you, Ellie."
Ellie set her down on the couch.
"Can I still sit with you, Ellie?"
"I suppose so, but no suckling."
Lily nodded and crawled back into Ellie's lap. She rubbed her face against Ellie's belly, and then curled up in her lap, tucked close. Ellie stroked the bobcat again. It was weird how quickly she'd decided to throw her affection at Ellie, and Ellie wasn't sure she believed it. On the other hand, she certainly seemed sincere. She must be a very good liar if she isn't. Maybe she should give the bobcat the benefit of the doubt. It would be cruel to treat her as if she was lying if she were really sincere.
Later, Ellie decided it was time to make her weekly run to the grocery store. She wanted to bring Jason with her so that he could pick what he wanted, but she wasn't sure she wanted to leave Lily alone. And she didn't feel it would be right to lock her up when she'd been behaving so well.
"Do you think it's okay to leave her loose while we leave, Jason?" she asked.
He shrugged.
"Would it be better if you stayed to watch her?"
"I don't know. If it came to a fight, she'd probably win."
"Do you think I should lock her up then?"
"I don't know."
"You're not very helpful."
"I'm not the one who decided to, you know, kidnap her."
Ellie scowled, "So you think I should let her go?"
"I don't know! Probably not if you don't want to go to jail!"
"Well, then we're agreed on that at least: she's not getting away."
"Then what are you going to do?"
"I guess I'll give her a chance to prove her obedience."
Lily was napping on the couch, and Ellie went to wake her. Ellie gently shook her, and she looked up and blinked.
"Ellie?"
"Jason and I are going to the grocery store. We won't be gone long, but I expect you to be good. No trying to escape. Understood?"
"Yes, Ellie. Thank you for trusting me! I'll behave perfectly while you're gone."
Ellie nodded. Then she and Jason left to drive to the grocery.
About an hour later, they returned to find a piece of paper outside of Ellie's door. It read, "HELP! I'm being held PRISONER! Call POLICE!"
Ellie growled and leaned down with her bags of groceries to snatch it up. She tromped inside with Jason behind her, and put the groceries on the table.
"Lily! Where are you? Come out this instant!" Ellie ordered angrily.
Lily slunk out from the bedroom, and Ellie bounded forward to grab her, hoisting her up by the scruff. She held the paper in front of her face. "You call this behaving?" she growled.
"I-I'm sorry, Ellie! I felt scared, and I wrote that and slipped it under the door. But then I realized it was wrong and tried to get it back, but I couldn't reach it!"
"I'm not interested in your excuses! You tried to escape! You know you have to be punished, right?"
"Y-yes, Ellie," she whined.
Ellie dropped her to the floor. "Then get in your cage. If I can't trust you with freedom while I'm gone, then you don't deserve it while I'm here either."
"Y-yes, Ellie."
Lily slunk to her cage and climbed inside. Ellie stomped over, slammed the top down, and locked it. Lily let out a sob.
"Aren't you forgetting something," Ellie growled.
"Th-thank you, Ellie," Lily choked.
Ellie gave a stern nod and went to put away the groceries.
"You can't really blame her for trying to escape," Jason murmured. "You are holding her against her will."
Ellie snorted dismissively. "She'll get used to it. I thought she already was, but I guess she's even more devious than I gave her credit for."
Jason glanced toward the cage, "She looks more distraught than devious. Maybe she was telling the truth. She had a moment of fear and doubt that she regretted."
"She regretted it because she realized I'd see it, and no one else probably would. She can learn her lesson with some quality time in her cage."
Jason nodded hesitantly.
"Maybe you'd like me to get you one too?"
"N-no, Ellie. I agree that you have to teach her a lesson. I'm sure a little while in the cage won't hurt her."
Ellie didn't take Lily out of the cage until dinner, and after dinner, she made her go right back in. Lily didn't protest, but Ellie could see the terror in her eyes as she lowered her in. Maybe she'll think twice before trying to escape next time! She took her out briefly before bed to let her use the bathroom and brush her teeth before locking her up for the night. Ellie could hear Lily sobbing into her pillow as she walked into her bedroom, and she felt a little guilty. I'll let her out for a little while in the morning.
A little after midnight, Ellie realized that she needed to pass her cecotropes. She carefully slid out of bed so as to not disturb Jason and crept to the kitchen to fetch her bowl. On the way to the bathroom, she was interrupted by a quiet mewl.
"Ellie? Can I come out now?"
"No, it's the middle of the night," Ellie whispered. "Go back to sleep."
"What are you doing up?"
"Nothing. Going to the bathroom."
"Why are you taking a bowl?"
Ellie winced, "If you must know, it's for my cecotropes."
"Your what?"
"Rabbits do a thing called hindgut fermentation. To get all the nutrients we need we have to, you know," she finished embarrassedly.
"You're going to eat your poop?!" she gasped.
"It's not poop! We're supposed to eat it; we have to!"
"But it still comes out of-"
"Obviously!"
"I, I'm sorry I asked, Ellie. I didn't mean to embarrass you."
Ellie sniffed haughtily, and continued to the bathroom for her messy meal. A short time later after washing up, she emerged to put the bowl away.
She glared at the bobcat as she walked by, "Aren't you going to ask how it tasted?" she growled.
"No," Lily answered nervously.
"Good, because I might have decided to let you try some." She continued to the kitchen and put the bowl away before heading back to bed.
"I'm sorry, Ellie. I, I didn't mean to, to make it sound like I think you're gross."
"But you do think so," Ellie accused.
"N-no! I mean, it sounds gross, but, but if you have to then-"
"Eating meat is gross. No one ever had to die for a rabbit to eat its cecotropes. Think about that!"
"I'm sorry, Ellie. It must be hard for, for you to be reminded about that anytime you see us eating."
"I'm not afraid of you because of what you eat! I wasn't before you were small either! I could eat you now if I wanted to."
"Y-you c-could," Lily mewed tremulously.
"You're lucky eating meat is gross then." Ellie continued to bed.
In the morning, Ellie took Lily out of the cage first thing. As she opened the top, the bobcat gave a trill of joy and beamed up at her.
"Thank you, Ellie!"
"I need to pee, and then you can go if you need to," Ellie informed her.
After she peed, she woke Jason, and put on a green tank top to go for her jog.
"I'll be back in a little bit," she informed them. "Keep an eye on her, Jason."
"I'll behave, Ellie. I swear!" Lily meowed.
Ellie nodded and left the apartment.
On her return, she found the cats grooming each other.
"I assume she behaved, Jason?"
"She did," Jason confirmed.
"Right, I'm going to rinse off, then I'll see about breakfast."
After Ellie showered and dried herself, she prepared oatmeal. Lily helped her to fix another sausage for the cats as well.
As they sat at the table to eat, Lily looked up from her food to gaze gratefully at Ellie. "Thank you again for preparing this for us, Ellie."
"You helped," Ellie replied lightly.
"I know, but I appreciate it that you tolerate us eating something you find disgusting right in front of you."
Ellie flicked her right ear self-consciously. "I don't think it's disgusting. I was tired and annoyed when I said that. I'm sorry. It's not disgusting for you to eat what you need to."
Jason frowned, "I don't remember this discussion."
"You were asleep," Lily explained.
"You were up talking to Lily in the middle of the night?" Jason inquired, surprised.
"Not exactly," Ellie grumbled.
"It was when she was, er, going to the bathroom," Lily explained.
Jason looked puzzled, "How did you get onto the topic of eating when you spotted Ellie on her way to the bathroom?"
"It's because she was, er, you know."
Jason gave Lily a look of utter bewilderment, "No. I don't."
"I was eating my cecotropes, Jason!" Ellie snapped.
"Your what?"
Lily's mouth dropped open in shock, "You don't know?! You've been working with her for five years and, uh, sleeping with her over a week, and you don't know?!"
Jason looked back and forth between them in confusion, "Are you going to clue me in or-"
"Rabbits do hindgut fermentation, Jason. We have to eat our food a second time," Ellie explained exasperatedly. How did we get on this topic!
"You eat your poop?!" Jason yelped.
"It's not poop!" Ellie protested. "It's completely different, and we have to eat it!"
"It sounds like poop!"
"It's a separate thing!"
"But you still poop it out!"
"If you don't stop calling it that, I'm going to let you compare the two!"
Jason clamped his mouth shut.
"S-sorry I brought it up, Ellie," Lily murmured nervously.
Ellie sighed resignedly, "It's alright. Jason had to figure it out eventually."
"Why didn't you ever tell me about it?" Jason asked.
"It's private! Why would you need to know?"
"I don't know. It might give me pause about letting you put your mouth on me."
"I always brush my teeth afterwards, Jason! And use mouthwash!" she shouted.
"O-okay, Ellie. I'm sorry."
She scowled and ate a spoonful of oatmeal. Jason watched her attentively.
"And you're going to have to eat that again later?"
"Yes!" she snapped.
"I'm glad I'm not a rabbit," he murmured, looking down at his food.
"You're not being very nice about it, Jason," Lily scolded. "If they have to eat it, they have to! Cats have to eat meat, and think of how many people died to provided that in the past! No one ever died for how rabbits have to eat!"
Jason gave Lily an annoyed look, "They haven't had to for almost three centuries."
"They still had to, and you of all people knows that it still happens!"
Jason looked away guiltily. "Sorry, Ellie," he murmured.
Ellie shook her head. It was hard to believe Lily was the one on the right side of that argument. Is she still being sycophantic, or did I actually change her mind?
After breakfast, it was time for Ellie and Jason to go to work.
"I'm sorry, Lily. I think you're going to have to go back in the cage while we're gone," Ellie apologized.
"I-I understand, Ellie," Lily murmured. She slunk to the cage and climbed inside. Crouching down, she hid her eyes and trembled, waiting for the sound of the cage being shut.
"Why don't we bring her with us?" Jason asked. "I think she'll be okay."
Ellie looked at him dubiously, "You don't think she'll try to escape if I take her out of the apartment?"
Lily looked up hopefully, "I won't, Ellie. I swear!"
"Alright then. You know what the punishment will be if you do, right?"
Lily nodded.
Ellie retrieved her from the cage and stuffed her in her satchel. "Right, let's go."
The morning was uneventful. Jason sat at his desk reading, but Lily climbed up into Ellie's lap and snuggled against her belly before falling asleep. It was weird to think that Lily was the more affectionate, but Ellie guessed she didn't have anything better to do. At lunch, Jason asked if Ellie could pick them up something at Lu's Sandwich shop. Ellie complied and walked over to buy a pair of subs, one for her and one for the cats to share.
The cats shared theirs at Jason's desk. Ellie was about to get back to reading after finishing lunch when something caught the corner of her eye: on top of Jason's desk, both of the cats were growing. They got larger and larger until they returned to their normal size.
"Wha-at?!" Ellie yelped.
Jason hopped off the desk and addressed her, "I'm sorry, Ellie. I know you trusted me, but I wasn't willing to stay small the rest of my life. What you did was wrong, and what you did to Lily was especially wrong. It only stood to reason that if there is a potion to make you smaller then there is one to do the opposite. I bought it online and had it shipped to an office downstairs so that you wouldn't know. We can still live together if you want, but I expect you to throw that shrinking potion away and not try something like that again! If you move in with me, you won't have to pay rent on that apartment anymore, so it's really for the best."
"Shut up, Jason!" Lily growled. She leapt off the desk and strode toward Ellie's.
Jason dashed in front of her. "Don't hurt her, Lily!"
She grabbed him by the neck and threw him out of the way. "I said shut up!"
Ellie got up from her desk and moved to make a dash for the door, but Lily rushed forward and caught her, pinning her tightly against the wall with one hand on Ellie's chest.
"You shrank me, rabbit," she growled. "Imprisoned me, put me in a cage!"
Ellie squirmed fearfully against the bobcat's powerful hold, and Lily pushed harder.
"And you still showed me more affection than anyone has in five years."
"Huh?"
Lily shook her head, "You could have done anything to me, and you still showed me kindness, even after I've been so unkind to you. I'm not going to hurt you. I only let Jason give me the growth potion because I knew this would be a way to get you to finally trust me."
Ellie gaped at the bobcat, "You mean-"
"That's right. Unlike Jason, I want you to keep me. I want to remain your pet. Please take me back. You said you have more of the potion. I want to be your little kitty. Forever."
"Of course I'll take you back!" Ellie gasped. She couldn't believe what was happening. Lily's willingly becoming my pet? Forever?
Lily pulled Ellie close in a tight hug, "Thank you, Ellie! I can't wait to be back in your arms again!"
Ellie hugged her back. She wants to be mine. Ellie nuzzled Lily's belly. This powerful cat would rather be my little kitty. Ellie would cherish her for the rest of their days.
"Lily! You can't be serious!" Jason cried in shock. "You want to be Ellie's pet? You couldn't stand her a couple days ago! And, and you've never made it a secret that you like being in charge of people! You want to be completely under the control of Ellie, a rabbit?!"
"That's just it, Jason. Being under Ellie's control showed me how I've mistreated those under my control. I've been cruel to those at my mercy, but Ellie showed me kindness even when she had every reason and opportunity to do otherwise. Now that she can trust that I want to be with her, I know I'll find even greater kindness in her care. I'll gladly give up the control I had for that."
Ellie was deeply touched by the bobcat's words, and she hugged tighter. "That's right, Lily. I'll take good care of you. We'll be happy together."
"What about me?" Jason asked. "Don't you still want to live with me now that I'm normal size?"
Ellie broke away from Lily to regard the cat, "I do, Jason. We love each other, and we should be together. If Lily can show me this kind of trust, then I'd be a hypocrite to refuse to trust you just because you're a big cat again. If you say you won't ever hurt me, then I believe you."
"I won't, Ellie. Do you want to move into my house? I think it makes more sense than for us to keep renting your apartment, and there will be more room."
"Yes, Jason, Lily and I will move in with you. I'm not attached to the apartment."
Lily looked at Jason, "I guess I'll sort of be your pet too then."
Jason grimaced, "That's between you and Ellie. I'll be friendly with you, but I don't want someone as a pet. You'll have to get that kind of attention from Ellie."
Lily nodded, "Fair enough."
Lily went to the police station to turn in her letter of resignation. When she got back, she called a real estate agent about putting her house on the market. Without a job, she'd rely on Ellie and Jason to support her, but the money from her house would last quite a while when she was small again. Lily spent the rest of the day holding Ellie on her lap. Ellie enjoyed the feeling of being held by the cat she'd soon be holding easily in one arm.
At five, they went home. Jason took his car, which he could finally drive again, and went to his own house. Ellie drove Lily back to her apartment. Lily was more than a little cramped in the passenger seat of the compact car, but that wouldn't be an issue soon. They took the elevator up to Ellie's apartment. Ellie felt lightheaded with anticipation as they approached her apartment. The bobcat was coming in to stay, to stay as her little pet. She could still barely believe the turn of events that had led to this strange outcome, but she was overwhelmed with the pleasure of knowing Lily had chosen to be hers.
They stepped into the apartment, and Ellie led Lily to the kitchen where she retrieved the bottle of the potion from the spice cabinet.
"I suppose I don't need to hide it in anything," she commented. She put a single drop on a spoon.
"That's it?"
"That's all it takes. Are you absolutely certain you want to do this?"
"Yes."
"You promise not to do what Jason did, right? This is permanent."
"I promise. I want to be your pet for the rest of my life."
"You realize the cage will still be an option if you misbehave."
"That's fine, Ellie. I won't misbehave. I'll do whatever you say. I know you'll only treat me well."
Ellie nodded, and handed her the spoon. Lily licked the potion off, and they waited. They waited a few minutes, but nothing happened.
"Isn't it going to work? I shouldn't have let Jason give me the growth potion," Lily fretted.
"I don't know how long it takes if you take it straight all at once," Ellie noted.
They waited a few more minutes, and then Lily wobbled on her feet, and caught herself on the counter. She began to shrink, hand soon slipping off the counter as she became too short to reach. She toppled onto her butt and continued to shrink until she was back to the size she had been before. Ellie bent down and picked her up to cradle her in her left arm against her chest. She stroked Lily's belly.
"There you go. You're my little kitty again," she crooned.
Lily nuzzled her chest and then gazed up at her adoringly, "I'm so happy, Ellie! Can I really be like this forever?"
Ellie lifted her up to nuzzle her ear, "Yes, you'll always be mine, always and forever."
Lily let out a little cry of joy and nudged her nose under Ellie's jaw. Ellie rubbed her jaw on Lily's head, and the bobcat purred loudly.
"Where's that arrogant cat who wanted to rip me apart?" Ellie teased.
"Gone. She's just gone. I love you, Ellie."
Ellie kissed Lily on top of the head, "You're my precious little kitty now. Nothing will ever change that. You gave yourself to me, and now, we'll be together like this forever."
Lily gave a joyful little sigh. Ellie took her to the couch and stroked her as the bobcat fell asleep in her arms.
* * *
Ellie lay on the futon, her head in Jason's lap. Both she and the cat were reading in the living room of Jason's house. Ellie had moved in over a month ago, bringing along her things and, of course, her precious kitty. Lily was curled up on Ellie's belly snoozing the afternoon away. Ellie was truly blessed by how things had worked out: she had her big kitty to hold and cuddle her and her little kitty to hold and cuddle herself. Still, she hadn't thrown away the shrinking potion like Jason had asked, but had instead hidden it away. One day, she might want another little pet, and while Jason had proved himself safe again and again, she'd never allow him to hurt her twice if such an incident ever occurred. For now though, Ellie was actually glad he'd broken her trust; it was good to have her capable partner, and there was something to be said for being the one safely wrapped in another's arms.
Ellie looked up from her book at the tabby and then at her little bobcat and smiled.
