Forbidden Love - Chapter 4
Chapter 4.
The three of them had no more issues on the way home, and once there, the door slid open, being keyed to their genetics, and they went in, Ama giving her brother a kiss before wriggling to get down. After Dar put her down, she ran to her room and got her favourite plushie, then curled up on her bed, holding it. Caity started to go after her, but stopped after a couple steps as pain flared in her arm. Her legs felt rubbery and she barely stayed on her hind-paws. "Dar..." she called softly, reaching her good arm towards him, her paw outstretched.
Darehl had let Ama get down now that they were home, and he was reasonably certain that there would be no more trouble. He had told Caity they would deal with her cut when they got home, and was turning to go to the bathroom when the vixen wobbled and looked like she might fall. He reached for her and took her paw before she had finished calling his name, wrapping an arm around her shoulders, under her arm and lifting her from the ground with the other arm under her knees. "Caity...." he whispered, carrying her toward the bathroom, knowing he had to stop the bleeding on her arm and get it bandaged before anything else.
Her good arm wrapped lightly around his shoulders as she gingerly held her injured arm in her lap. She leaned her head on his shoulder; her muzzle was close to his neck as she nuzzled him while he carried her to the bathroom. She knew her brother would take care of her. It had been a long day, and it wasn't even close to dinner time, let alone bed time, but she was exhausted from what had happened. It wasn't so much the sex with her brother that had made her tired, but the attack had taken a lot out of her internal energy reserves.
He let her nuzzle into him gently, and he smiled down at her, giving her a loving lick on the jaw, then they were in the bathroom, the door automatically opening for them. He sat her gingerly on the toilet seat, careful not to pin her tail under her superb and recently appreciated ass, and let her lean back against the tank. He left her side to retrieve a soft cloth from the cabinet, wetting it with cool water, and returning to kneel next to her, taking her arm gently and wiping her fur clean from the matted blood. He knew that it would hurt her, but he hoped that it wouldn't be too bad, as he had no anaesthetic cleaning wipes in the house. She was a tough girl, but even she could only take so much. As soon as the wound was clean, he moved over to the medicine cabinet and pulled out a roll of adhesive bandage and a medical salve, also grabbing a small device that could sterilize the now cleaned wound.
Caity clenched her teeth as her brother washed her arm gently, knowing he wasn't trying to hurt her, though the wound stung like hell, as it was re-exposed to the air from the clotted matt that had formed over it from her fur. She sat there, watching her brother as he moved around, getting the long bandage wrap, healing salve and portable sanitizing device. She gritted her teeth again as she watched him moving towards her with it, knowing the slave would sting like crazy.
Just then, Azazel returned, appearing in the bathroom. "Darehl?! What did you do to Caiytlynn?!"
Caity let out a yelp and a low growl, unfamiliar with this male fox, and she forced her pain back as she got to her hind-paws. She moved to put herself between this older male and her brother, her arms going into a posture that wouldn't do much, since she wasn't really trained in defence, but caused her wound to start bleeding profusely again.
Caity reacted faster even than Darehl did, though the male recognized the voice a split second after hearing it, and as he was familiar with him, didn't become particularly alarmed. Still, he had had enough excitement today and didn't need another surprise. He half pulled his knife again; dropping the bandage in the process, then sheathed it with a sigh when he realized it was Azazel. He quickly put the other items down on the sink, moving to take Caity by the shoulders and hold her against himself, his chest pressing her back. He whispered, "Shhh...That's Azazel...the fox guide I told you about that pointed out our route earlier to me."
He looked up at the older male and said. "I didn't do anything to her... we were coming home and were ambushed by three kidnappers. I managed to fight them off but one cut her in the process. Ama is in her bedroom... she was pretty shaken as well," he pulled Caity back toward the toilet; wanting her to sit so he could continue to bandage her wound.
Caity felt her brother's paws on her, holding her gently, but firmly, not letting her injure herself further. Her ears flicked back to listen to him as her eyes remained on the older fox. "You're Azazel?" She questioned the older male, letting her brother move her back to the toilet and sitting down for him.
"You were the one who told him about some of the old ways? About him claiming me?" She held her arm out to her brother, letting him clean again; then, fix the wound, the device efficiently working to remove any bacteria from her arm. She barely held in a yip of pain as the salve did sting as he applied it before bandaging her arm.
The elder fox smiled slightly when he realized that his first assumption had been wrong, and at the questions that Caity then asked. He inclined his head, showing her a modicum of respect as the royal Femalia heir and Dar's slave-mate. "Yes, I am Azazel, young Femalia; and I am the one that spoke with your brother about the old ways and claiming both you and your sister," he paused for a moment, then, inclined his head towards Dar in a form of apology. "I'm glad that my assumption was false. I should never have suspected Darehl of being violent with you."
"Let's go to the living room to talk. I don't really think the bathroom is conducive to this discussion," Caity said, as she grimaced in pain and rose to her hind-paws again, momentarily closing her eyes to hide the agony she was feeling in her arm. After opening her eyes again, she looked to Dar, pleading silently for his assistance.
Darehl watched the exchange between his sister and Azazel from her side, and when he was done bandaging her, let her stand. She looked like she was still greatly in pain, and he saw that silent pleading deep in her eyes. He softly smiled and came up on her other side, again scooping her up into his arms and carrying her after Azazel as he headed for the living room as she had wished. As they entered, Darehl gently laid Caity on the couch, and sat next to her.
The couch adjusted to fit Caity lying down and Dar sitting next to her, her head resting comfortably in his lap. Being horizontal seemed to ease the nausea from the knife wound in the young vixen, and her eyes grew sharp once more. Holding up her good paw, she said. "Before you explain more to us, I want to make one thing clear. Ama is not to be claimed yet, she is still far too young. I will teach her what she needs to know, but no one will touch her sexually until she comes into her first heat; then and only then Dar can claim her as he did me, and I will not back down on this. If you try to push him to claim her before then, without my consent as the senior of his slave siblings, Azazel, I will plant my dainty hind-paw so far up your tail-hole, you would be singing soprano for a very long time."
Dar smiled softly at Caity as she spoke so harshly to Azazel. She had a fire in her; there was no doubt about that. He glanced at Azazel with a smirk before stroking her head and ears with one paw, and her side with the other. Azazel chuckled, "Very well, young lady. I will leave it up to Darehl when to take her. Normally I would urge that he would do it now, but since this is not the old times, as much as I would like it to be, a few of the rules must be bent. If you wish him to wait, it's your brother-mate you will have to speak with. As his first, you would have some, but not a lot of authority over his household." A smile played across his face, finding her reaction rather amusing. "But now we must come down to business, and I would appreciate it if you would let your brother do most of the talking."
Caity nodded, then, grinned mischievously. "You may appreciate it all you want, Azazel, but if I have any questions, or want to clear any of this up, I will ask away. I may be my brother's slave-mate, but I am a royal in my own right," It honestly was the first time her brother had heard her speaking her mind like this, but she laid her head on his lap and waited for Azazel to start.
Azazel waved one hand in the air. "Very well... you most certainly have the blood of the Femalia in your veins, that's plain. No Mascul female would dare address a royal like that," he sighed, turning his attention more fully on Darehl. The young male had still been stroking his sister's head, soothing her as he did so, hoping that the elder fox wouldn't be too offended. However when he felt Azazel's eyes upon him, he looked up and listened.
Azazel locked eyes with Dar and began, "I told you earlier of a small part of the history of our people, and in truth the greater part of my knowledge resides on the Mascul line, for I am a direct member of that side. We of the Mascul were a proud and noble kingdom, doing our best to rule justly and to keep the peace of our kingdoms to the best of our ability. This was the same on the opposite side; that of the Femalia, but there were several differences between the kingdoms."
"The chief difference among them being this: The Mascul believed only in the dominance of the male head of the family. A male was master of all females and possessions in his household. This does not mean that females were looked on as a lower species, or despised in any way. The males treated the females with love and kindness, with the occasional exception that is to be expected among any large group of individuals. It was the way of life... no one questioned it."
"The Femalia, while I don't know the intricacies of their culture as well as I would like, believed in the opposite. The females were heads of the families, both the warriors and rulers. The males weren't slaves, per-se, but were definitely less important in their hierarchies. Because of this difference, our ancestors decided that while the royal families interbred with each other, a pair of rulers must always be chosen, a male from Mascul, and a female from Femalia, which would rule jointly over both kingdoms in harmony."
"Most of the time this was a betrothal type of scenario; or perhaps a courting process, but there was rarely a deep love between the ruling King and Queen, for they held onto their different beliefs," he paused to take a breath and run a furry paw over his head.
Caity listened intently, her ears perked in interest of their heritage. "So Dar, being of the royal Mascul line, is the King of the kingdoms? Would that mean, since I'm more Femalia, as you pointed out, that I'm the Femalia part of the ruling pair? Because while I wouldn't mind ruling next to my brother-mate, I think there would be some issues around here, due to us being siblings. Around here, a brother-sister mating is frowned upon, and we already know we have to keep things quiet," she interjected quietly.
"I'm afraid I must correct you there Caiytlynn. You see, you aren't a mate to your brother; you are his slave by the old ways. A mate is one whom your brother takes as his bride in a formal marriage ceremony, and can fall in love with. You, on the other hand, are his sister, so you are not considered a mate, and he must guard his feelings, for he is not allowed to fall in love with you in that manner," Azazel shrugged, showing his distance from the matter at hand. "It is a fine line, I know, but one that must be upheld. I believe you are going to fall into a prophecy that I bespoke many, many years ago. Darehl will become ruler of both kingdoms, because eventually you will fully submit to him and show the Femalia that to submit to their males is the correct way that the world shall be."
"Prophecy? What prophecy?" Caity exclaimed, her eyes narrowing slightly. She didn't want Dar to find another female, she knew that the moment he did, she would claw out the other's eyes. Then, a realization dawned on her, and her slight scowl turned into a triumphant grin. "How many other true royal Femalia are there? Besides myself and Ama that is?"
Azazel was about to answer the first question when she asked the second. He sighed and shook his head, wondering how Darehl would ever manage with her as a slave. "To tell the truth I don't know if there ARE any other full blooded royal Femalia, besides you and your sister. I am going to have to eventually make a visit to the Femalia headquarters here in the Boreal Valley and find out if they have any other records. Perhaps there is a female that is of slightly less pure blood he could marry, I'm not certain though. Either way though, the prophecy, in short, is that in a time of great turmoil, a female will be born to a mother and father from the two royal lines, she will have a special mark under her tail. This female will help to bring the two kingdoms together in a time of unparalleled peace, joining the two kingdoms together as a whole."
Caity shook her head, her eyes narrowing again. "And why exactly do you think I'm the female from the prophecy? Yeah, I was born to parents of both royal lines, but I don't have a marking under my tail." She looked at Dar, the question forming in her eyes before it left her lips. "Do I, Dar?"
Dar really didn't know the answer to that. "Well Cait, I don't know. I was too busy earlier to look," he chuckled and shifted her head so that he could get up, and moved to the other end of the couch. "I'll have to look now," he gave her a wink and knelt. Azazel just watched them, though he knew that she did, it was best that Darehl was allowed to look for himself, especially since he would be getting much more accustomed to Caity in the next days. Her brother crouched next to her, waiting for her to shift enough that he could lift her tail and see.
Caity watched her brother walking to the other end of the couch, and rolled over carefully, the pain in her arm flaring as she readjusted her position. After almost hitting her arm on the couch, she got into position on her stomach and lifted her tail a bit. Her inner ears turned red as he looked while Azazel watched, but she didn't want to cause a scene for him. Under her tail, he could see the heart shaped mark around her tail-hole, which enticed him with its tiny size and the inherent tightness to it.
Darehl smiled as she seemed a bit embarrassed to be doing this here, but he would have to soon enough talk to her about being naked around the house. As soon as she lifted her tail, he spotted it, the white, heart-shaped mark directly around her tail-hole, a perfect symbol, and one that accentuated her tiny rosebud. He took a finger and gently traced the shape in fascination, then turned away with a wink to his sister. "You do have it, Caity."
She looked over her shoulder at her brother. "What does it look like, Dar? What does the mark look like?" She looked back to Azazel. "And how exactly did you know if I had this mark?" Her eyes narrowed as she felt a bit more embarrassed. "Did you watch what we did earlier?"
Darehl remained crouched next to her on the floor, smiling softly. "It's in the shape of a heart, Cait, right around your tail-hole. It fits you perfectly," he stated.
Azazel also smiled, responding, "I did watch what you did earlier. I had to as a matter of the old ways, but I promised Darehl that if you do it again, you shall be left alone," he nodded in reassurance to her.
Caity braced her good arm against the couch, and pushed herself upright, looking over at her brother. She didn't like knowing that this older dog fox had watched them, and her eyes flashed for a moment, then she looked back at Azazel. "So if I asked Dar to take me now, you would leave the room and not look in? Cause I can guarantee that we are far from finished for the day."
She hoped that her brother understood where she was coming from and what she was doing; she had no intention of letting any other vixen near her brother for the time being. Not after the intense pleasure she felt when he claimed her earlier. She would be damned if some bitch came in and took what should be her place as his Queen. She knew it was meant for them to rule together.
Darehl put a paw on her back and rubbed it softly, from the base of her tail to her neck, hoping to soothe her a bit. His heart skipped as she spoke her words, saying they weren't finished; he could still smell her heat-scent, though it was more diminished than earlier in the day, and its pungency was tickling his nose. His body responded in kind, though he didn't let it get out of control. Caity was showing a different side to her nature than she had before though, a bit more possessive of him, and he supposed it was both their connection as siblings and their recent mating that had caused it.
Azazel's lips twitched and his ears flicked around. "If Dar were to ask me to leave, then I would leave, young vixen, not before. You forget that you are Femalia and a slave to him, while I am Mascul and of the same rank as he. I don't listen to you except out of a small amount of respect for your status."
Caity growled under her breath, Dar's rubbing of her back keeping her from flying off the handle. There was no way she would take this from the older male, except her brother's paw kept her from getting to her paws and leaving the room, but she did not like being told that her words and wishes mattered in no way to this male. She would make it so he HAD to listen to her; she was not a princess of the Femalia line for nothing. A spark flared through her, and she looked at her brother, her eyes begged him to forgive her for what she was about to do.
She slipped from under her brother's paw and rose to her hind paws, pain in her arm fading as something she had no clue was inside her rose to the fore. She moved in front of the older dog fox and let out in a hissed voice, "I am the ONLY true Femalia princess left, and I am of the same rank as you and my brother. If you want to keep advising my brother and myself in the old ways, which we will discuss between us about returning to the combined Foxen nation, then you will forget that I am his slave and treat me as his equal. Do not forget that I am not without my own powers, powers that were awoken with my brother's claim to my body."
Her ears were flattened back, her tail lifted behind her and her injured arm had come down to her side, her paw curved into a grasping position as a black flame appeared around her paw. "There is no other of the line pure enough for my brother to rule with, so there will be no question as to who his queen will be. I don't give a shit if it is forbidden or not. We may bring back some of the old ways, but we will make our own new ways as well; ones that will benefit ALL of our people, and not just the dogs."
Dar saw the look in her face, and something unseen passed between them. He didn't stop her from standing up and slipping from under his hand, and stood with her. As she strode forward, he came up behind her, but didn't touch her, just stood there waiting to see what she would do. He hadn't seen her like this before, so determined and so... angry? Still though, he remained silent, waiting for the moment he might need to step in. He listened to all her words and put one hand on her shoulder. He agreed with everything she said, he had no desire to take another mate, not after what he had felt with her during their first time. He could only hope each time brought them closer together and increased those feelings more.
Azazel stood as they both did, arms crossed over his chest as he saw the look she gave him. He stiffened when he heard her words, and was about to rebuke her when he saw the flame appear around her hand. He took a half step back, and growled slightly before finally answering her, holding up one hand to forestall any further comment. "It appears that perhaps I have underestimated you; both of you," he sighed under his breath. "You are stronger than your parents were, and while I had thought that Darehl especially would listen, I see now that he agrees with you. I will remain to advise you, but I am wise enough to know that perhaps you speak truth and the old ways are not to be entirely held. We shall see though..."
Caity felt her brother's paw on her shoulder and gave a small lick to his paw. Maybe Azazel wouldn't like it, but too fucking bad. She was so not going to just get told that her feelings, or ideas, or thoughts didn't matter just because she was a female. Honestly, if truth was to be told, she might prefer being more in the background of some decisions, but she wanted her input considered as equal as well. She knew her brother would make good decisions for the family, and had always asked her and her sister what they wanted to do, or eat. This was more far reaching though than anything they had ever had to make a decision about before. What decisions needed to be made now would have to encompass their entire people.
Seeing Azazel step back slightly, and hold up his hand, giving into her words, Caity took a breath, then, closed her eyes, calming herself. The flames around her paw slowly diminished then dissipated completely. "I will be more than happy to listen to you and to my brother, but I want to make sure my words are heard, since I am the only pure blooded Femalia princess of age left. I want to make sure that any decision made will benefit ALL of our people, Mascul and Femalia. We are equals, but things could be a lot better for all of us than they are now. I don't like living like a nothing, but we have had no choice since our parents died. If however, what you have to tell us will improve things, then I have no problem saying we'll do it."
She gave him a smile, then, moved her paw into her brother's and gave him a loving lick on his muzzle. "Now that I have that out, shall we sit back down, Dar, and let Azazel advise us and help us get to where we should be?"
Azazel sat down after listening to her with a nod. He seemed to be considering what she had said, and gathering his thoughts for the next thing he needed to tell them. He hadn't expected this, but then again maybe as wise as he was, he had been a fool. He shouldn't have expected them to take to the old ways completely straight off. He would have to give them the help they needed and teach them what they could, and they would have to decide which they would adapt to the situations that would face them. They were the future of the royalty; still, he had to ensure they did what was right.
Dar smiled as she took his paw and licked his muzzle. As fierce as she could be, that told him she was his. He gave her hand a squeeze and gently turned her around, leading her back to their spot on the couch, seating himself first and crossing one leg over the other knee. He gently pulled her down with him, but seated her gently on his lap, cradling her butt between his legs and letting her lean back onto his chest. He groomed her neck gently with his tongue and then turned back to Azazel with a nod, letting him know he could continue.
