Chapter 13 Shadows Back

Silver was running to the scent of what smelled like his little brother. He came to the small pond that the pack watched. Silver stood there panting feeling the old age. "Damn I'm getting old." said Silver As Silver sat down he sniffed the air he knew the scent was here. He knew his brother was somewhere here. Silver decided to get up and head back to the pack. He turned around to see a large red eyed black wolf standing right in front of him. "Hello Silver." The black wolf said. Silver jumped back and took a better look at the black wolf seeing a mark he knew. "Sh...Shadow?" The black wolf nodded. "Yes big brother it's me... I am back." I smiled. "How... how are you back? Did Lumaria bring you back?" "Well... yes.... He did it took a lot of convincing but I did get him to bring me back. " Well I'm glad your back little bro. It's good to know your back again." Silver said with a smile then sat down with a look on his face. "What's wrong...? I know that look on your face?" Shadow sighed and spoke. "Well..... Lumaria only allowed me to live for a few days. Remember I am dead..... And the dead should always be in its eternal rest. I'm here to see my son I want to talk to him. I just want him to see what his father looks like and who I am." Silver whimpered as he lowered his ears. Silver knew Shadow and Lumaria are right about this. Silver looked at Shadow and got up. "Well.... Since you don't have that much of a time here you better get started." I smiled lightly. "Yeah you are right I should get started." I got up and walked with Silver back to the pack. As I walked I notice a few things I saw have changed. Five month.... Five long months have passed since I died. As I took my mind off that I notice we were back. The place I grew up in. "Well we are here little brother. Your son is up there." Silver pointed with his muzzle. I nodded and walked up there. The pack saw who it was and couldn't believe it if it was true or not. I notice as the pack watch me head up to see my son. I came up to the rock and notice my son Shadey laying there on alphas rock, something us pack members called it. I stood there and walked up to him slowly. Shadey heard a noise and turned his head to see a huge black wolf that looked like him walking towards him. Shadey got up real fast and growled. "Who are you? How come you look like me?" Shadey growled and barred his teeth. "You don't recognize me? Why.... Why I'm your father Shadey." Shadey stopped growling and saw it now. He couldn't believe it was its father. "Dad... it's that really you?" I nodded slowly. "Why I can't believe it.... I finally got to meet you, but I was told you were dead. How is it that you are alive? Was I lied to?" I sat down and looked at my son. "No you were not lied to at all. Yes I was dead... I still am. I'm here for a few days then I'm leaving. Our god Lumaria allowed me two days to talk with you and let you see your dad. I wanted to let you see me, get to know your real dad." Shadey smiled. "Well I'm happy to know this. You can see I am the alpha of this pack..... The pack I didn't want to be the alpha of." I smiled at my son "Well my son that why I'm here I want to put your test to me. I want to see if you are capable of being an alpha. You do realize even though the pack that we were supposed to be in I am the alpha. So what do you say son will you fight me?" Shady thought a moment and nodded. "Yes dad I will. I wanted to do this since I knew you were my real dad. I hope no matter what you will still love me." I smiled and nuzzled my son. "Don't worry... I will still love you. You are my son. This doesn't mean I will hate you I just want to test you is all. So don't worry." Silver sat there listing and smiled. As he thought to himself about what he was seeing. I can't believe he's back, if only for a few short days. I can see what he is doing.... I can see he's going to make his son a powerful alpha to protect this pack. Shadey and I headed down to the ring. The ring where Shadey and Liki fought to determine who would become alpha. We both entered the ring and the pack saw what was going to take place. They saw who it was. Whispers spread amongst the pack about my return. Silver walked over and sat down watching as Shadey's mate sat next to Silver. Terra came over to Silver. "Honey.... Is that who I think it is?" said Terra. "Yes... it is Shadow he's here only for a few days then he vanishes back to death again. I want to thank you for what you did for my little brother. He's been through a lot and I'm happy to know you let him mate with you to have a child. I know what you did was wrong... But you made my brother happy. I'm happy for the both of you." Terra smiled and nuzzled her mate. "You welcome Silver." Shadey went to his spot on one side and I went to mine on the other. "You ready son?" Shadey nodded. I growled and put myself in an attack position. The pack was dumbfounded and thought I was crazy attacking there alpha. Shadey did the same as me then he charged first. I ran at my son at the same time. Shadey jumped in the air but I saw him and spun myself around kicking him with my leg. Shadey rolled absorbing the impact and got up and charged again. He went to kick me as I caught the leg with the left side of my jaw. I held the leg and threw Shadey. This time Shadey hit a tree leaving the ring. Shadey got up and charged. This time I was not paying attention as I got knocked down kicked a little as Shady picked me up and threw me. As I was tossed in the air I spun myself and landed on my feet. I smiled at my son. "You show u have skills and I'm happy to be the father of an alpha. You truly are a wolf of shadows." I bow down and submit. Shadey smiled. "Thanks dad.... That...that means a lot to me. I am happy to be the son of the alpha of the pack I should have been in." Silver sat there and smiled. Liki came over limping weak like. "Who's that?" "That is Shadow.... You're Uncle and my brother." "Also Shadey's real dad?" asked Liki. "Yes... he's only going to be here for a few days then leave. Lumaria has allowed him to stay for two days and one night. " "He.... He was the one I saw when I meet with our god. He was the one who forgave me. He.... He showed me many things about his past, how his family was killed by a fire, what you and he did in the past, and what your father did to him; also he showed me his power "The power of the shadows." The power that Lumaria had given his pack. I couldn't believe that power he has, but does Shadey have that power as well?" Silver smiled faintly. "Yes Shadey dose have that power also. You are right about what he showed you." "Father....Do you know who made Lumaria let Shadow come back here?" "No.... who?" Silver said confused like. "It was me....I got Lumaria to see how Shadow should be able to come back to see my little brother and you. Lumaria allowed only them two days I guess." "Well I'm glad you did a good thing. You not only made them two proud but me also. You maybe are showing signs of an alpha. Now go rest you need it." Liki limped off back to his den to rest and be with his mate. Silver walked over and smiled. "I'm happy to see you two happy. I'll leave you two alone and have a fun time. I'll catch you both later at dinner time." With that Silver walked off as Shadey and Shadow smiled. "Come walk with me son I want to talk to you about my past. I want you to know more about me before I leave." Shadow said. Shadey nodded and followed his father to the lake that they both go to when they want to be left alone or talk about something one on one with someone
