Sonya entered the cave.
"What's wron.... oh my god!" was the exact words what she said! "what did this?"
"Not sure." I replied, "I've sent Conan and the others to search around see if they can find anything."

"Don't talk, save your strength." Sonya told him.

"He's dead," Sonya murmured, "what was he saying?" she asked, but I didn't have an answer. My mind was too fixated on trying to work out what he was trying to say for myself. I stood staring at his corpse for what seemed like forever in that way. However my concentration was broken when Conan and the rest returned.
"Kaelab," he shouted into the cave, "there is no sign of a pack or anything for that matter. How is he doing?"
"He is dead." I called back, "there was no sign of anything?"
"Nope, no tracks, no nothing. Just branch-less stubby trees past our own lands and the place is littered with rocks and boulders." he said.
"Hmm" I paused, "alert the other alphas then. Whatever did this must be big and is probably still out there."
