Mark waited outside for the taxi to arrive. Jacob had been up making sure that things were set for them to do the pull. A yellow taxicab pulled into view on the cold, dark street. Steve exited the cab along with Karen. "Morning you two." The lion said as they walked along the path to the front porch. The two smiled and followed the cat inside the house. It was dimly lit in the home as they walked over to the wall where Jacob stood. Through the same process as before, Jacob and Mark touched along the picture frame to open a path down below the home to the dark expanse. "Uroso will be waiting on the other side for us. The others should all be joining us shortly when we arrive." Jacob said as he led the way down the stairs.
Uroso readied the device in his hand as he waited for the clock to hit the right time. Once the clock hit on the dot, he pressed the button, allowing for a surge of electrical energy to start to pull into a spiral in the center of the courtyard. "I always like watching this. It's definitely very creative." Veronica said as she stood by alongside him. Through the emerging portal came four figures. Jacob, Mark, Steve, and Karen all came through and stepped into view as wisps of thread like strands clung to them before clinging back to the opening. "Good to see you all." Douglas said as he waved for them to follow. He led them into the building and through to a large conference room that looked over the control room. Inside there were twelve others who were conversing. They all stood up when Douglas came in and saluted.
"Sit." The ursine ordered as he took his place at the head of the table. Everyone filed into their respected seats as the bear dimmed the lighting in the room and turned on the center display on the opposing wall. One of the furs, which came from outside the room, came in with a stack of binders and began to make his way around the room. "Mission #90366u677h88ghy, code named 'The Sinking Sand'. We have received from our sources purchases of weapon grade titanium plating. According to data from a hard drive that was copied, the unknown entity has developed a compression device that they plan to use at the World Conference Summit to cause catastrophic damage and to kill a number of leaders who will be attending." Douglas said as he brought up visuals to describe what he was talking about. They flipped through the pages, following the ursine word for word as he explained every detail of the information they had.
"So how are we divided?" Jacob asked once Douglas had finished. "We will be having a very large team with us. Ten of you are a part of the assault and support team." Douglas said as he pulled up the list of agents who were to be responsible for relaying information to the actual team. "The remaining six will be responsible for infiltration and reconnaissance. Agents 354 Alpha, 456 Omega, 63 Gamma, 298 Beta, 186 Zeta, and 599 Theta are all responsible for this." He said as he switched through to a new screen showing technical specifications on weapons listings. Uroso stood up from his seat and walked to where Douglas stood and began to speak. "Nothing really new here for this one other than the dematerialization. It's still in development but there will only be two who will use it. We will be using the new Black Falcons again for this one. They are now equipped with cloaking software, new ammunitions and various features that were not available when we last used them." He said as he looked over to the pilots who sat together. "Sir, will we have the new updates to the piloting software included as well?" One of the pilots, a ferret, inquired. "Yes, I made the necessary adjustments and we should not have an issue with the new calibrations to the targeting equipment." The ape said with confidence.
An orangutan came into the room holding a file as Uroso went for his seat. "Sir, we have it completed." He said as he stood before him. Taking the file, he nodded to the ape and opened it. "I take they have looked over my equations." Jacob said as he looked over to Mark. "It would appear so. You three should go down to the testing facility. The rest of the briefing concerns more of the logistics aspect that is more for the rest so we'll see you after the break." Douglas said as he motioned to the two to leave the room. "Yes sir." Jacob and Mark said as they made their exit with Uroso. Walking down the hall, Uroso handed the lupine the file. "Have they tested the device in simulation?" Mark asked as he called the elevator. "They have. So far, any Dekoret can be broken down by it. They have brought samples of the material for you to use." The ape said as he walked into the elevator, pressing the appropriate button for the Weapons Testing Facility. "Let's just hope the simulations work in the real application." Jacob said as he thumbed through diagrams.
Alex was the first to awaken as the morning light came in through the spaces of the blinds. He could hear the wolf beside him still sleeping as he moved carefully to sit upright in the bed. Alex reached across to the bed stand for the book he was reading the night before. Wolfe was asleep with his arms still wrapped around the fox. 'It's got to be the weather, it makes sense cause of the snow.' He thought as he wished the wolf wouldn't sleep as much. Alex just continued his reading until nature decided to call. 'Damn... How do I manage this.' He said as he began to ponder his escape from the bed. Slowly he unwrapped the lupine's arms from around his waist and put a pillow down to take his place. Carefully stepping across the room, he made way for the bathroom in much need. Lifting the seat to the porcelain bowl, he eased out the length of his cock out of his sheath to urinate. 'Ah... relief...' He thought as he finished. Flushing the toilet, he looked at himself in the mirror. The appearance didn't please him very much since he hated the way he looked when he awoke. He looked around the bathroom for the towels, soon remembering where Wolfe went for them. 'Now how did he turn this on again?' He said as he ran his paw along the tiles inside the shower till he was soon startled by a voice. "Mid-range located on the wall above the soap dish. Key across the three that are diamond shaped." Wolfe said as he walked over to the toilet and took a seat upon it.
Alex followed the wolf's instructions, the water turning on in a cascade from the showerhead. He smiled to the lupine who got up from his seat and went to get his toothbrush. He paid no attention to him, or so Alex thought, as he stripped out of the pants and into the cascading sluice. Wolfe brushed in the habitual small circles as he made faces at himself in the mirror to keep himself entertained. The fox could be heard washing himself, the sound of water washing down as he used his paws to scrub down his coat. "So what are we doing today?" Alex asked over the roar of the water. "I don't know. We have nothing to really do. Both Scott and Jessica are no where nearby so we cant call them." Wolfe said after flushing the toilet as he began to slide open the door to the shower. Alex turned to face him, his entire body covered in lather from the shampoo. Wolfe chuckled as he forced the fox to the wall. "Oh... but I'm not finished." The fox said under the strain of the wolf's grip. "No... you're not..." The wolf said as he grinded his swelling sheath to the fox and rubbed his muzzle along the nape of the fox's neck.
Wolfe stepped away from the fox and began to wash off the shampoo from him. Alex chuckled as he felt the lupine stop over his sheath and tease him gently. "Your turn." Alex said as he grabbed the bottle of shampoo and dumped it in between the wolf's ear. Wolfe stood still as the fox lathered him up from head to toe, running his paw along his mates sensitive regions. The lupine perked his ears slightly and to not let his animalistic urges take advantage. The fox then began to rinse the shampoo from his coat and then noticed a familiar musk in the air. In a swift motion he pushed the lupine against the wall as was done to him. The wolf growled lustfully as the fox began to grind his now swelling sheath against him from behind. "You aren't the only one who likes to be rough." The fox said as he brought his paw around to gently squeeze the swelling knot that was forming inside the wolf's sheath. Wolfe let out another growl as he could feel the fox trying to coax him out of hiding. He pushed back against the fox as he continued his low growling. They continued as the water fell upon them, steam growing thick in the air and mixing with the smell of musk.
"Come on. Let's get out." Wolfe said as he reached along the tiles and stopped the water. He stepped out and handed the fox a towel, the two drying themselves in a hurry. Wolfe grabbed hold of Alex as he was drying his head fur. He burst into laughter as he was willingly swept up and back into the lupine's room. "I say we can do this all day." Wolfe said as he ran his paw against the fox's sheath. "No objections to that..." The fox said as he moved his sheath into Wolfe's paw. Wolfe gently ran his muzzle against the growing length before kissing the vulpine's naval. Chills ran up the fox's spine as he felt the tender kiss. The lupine brought out his tongue and began to lap at the opening of the covering while he took the fox's sac in his grasp, rolling them considerately between his pads. "You dog..." Alex said as his cock began to strain inside. The wolf squeezed gently on the fox's knot that was leisurely forming. The red tip came into view with its glistening solution streaming from the opening. Wolfe continued his detailed dance on the fox, waiting for the swelling shaft to fully emerge. Alex panted lightly as he savored the sensations before he gasped from the wolf taking him into his maw. "Wolfe... Sie necken... (Wolfe... you tease...)" He said as he lightly thrust into him.
Wolfe savored the tangy taste that was starting to flow more rapidly. He began to take the length deeper into his muzzle, trying to get to the forming knot. Alex began to grip the sheets around him as he attempted to fight back his urges to pump hard into the wolf. The ecstasy became more than he could bear as he could feel the strain of his knot calling for it release. "Wolfe... Ich werde... (Wolfe... I'm going to...)" He said as his sac tightened into his body and signaled his liberation. He came hard into the wolf's maw. Jets of viscous fluid shot forth in heavy convulsions as he gripped the sheets even harder then before. Wolfe lifted off of the fox; letting the last few remaining shots shoot onto the fox's stomach. The lupine savored the bittersweet taste that was left in his mouth as Alex recovered from his moment. The air was hot and reeked of sex as the lupine rose from his position to view the fox.
Alex rose from his prone position and looked up at his mate with desire in his eyes. Wolfe just grinned as he climbed on top of the fox and kissed him. They entwined in passion, the sticky substance on the fox's gut mingling into the their fur. Alex pinned the lupine down and moved his tail hole to the obviously swollen prick that had been left out of receiving any attention. "Ich würde sagen dass Ihr drann seit. (I would say it is your turn.)" Alex said as he reached over to the lupine's bed stand for the familiar bottle of emollient. "Das hängt alles wirklich von Ihnen ab. (That all really depends on you.)" Wolfe replied with a sinister smile. After applying a liberal amount of the lubricant to himself and the lupine, Alex laid flat to the wolf's chest and eased his way down upon the large phallus. The fox moaned as he took in the intruder into his eager hole, Wolfe groaning with him as his length was taken into the confines of his mate. Slowly, the fox raised himself from the wolf until just the tip remained inside of him. Wolfe pulled slowly back along with him to meet him with half of the effort. Together in unison they both brought themselves back into contact against one another, the sensations driving them to growl at one another as they looked into each other's eyes.
Having decided not to fight with his dominant instincts, Wolfe had had enough as he pushed the fox down onto his back and held down the fox's shoulders. "Sie wissen dass ich es rau mag... (You know I like it rough...)" Alex said as he raised his hackles to show the wolf his teeth. Wolfe snarled at the fox who only snarled back at him as he began to pump his swelling length into him deeper and deeper. His knot was heavily forming and demanding entrance to the fox. Wolfe pushed in to him enough to ensure that he would tie with the fox. He released his grip on the fox's shoulders and wrapped his arms around him. He looked into the fox's eyes with an equal amount of lust staring back at him. Alex locked his muzzle with that of Wolfe's as he groaned from the pleasure that was being given to him. "Ich bin dort... (I am there...)" Wolfe said, breaking away from the kiss. "Tun Sie es, binde dich mit mir. (Do it, tie with me.)" The fox demanded.
Wolfe had the nape of the fox's neck in his jaw as he slammed harder and harder, pulling his knot from within the fox gently to persuade his own liberation. He bit down harder as Alex moaned from the convulsions of the wolf's cock that stretched the inner walls of his being. The lupine began to empty his seed deep into the fox as he continued trying to pump in and out of him. Wolfe growled deeply in satisfaction as he could feel his length pulsing it excretion of the viscous fluid. He relaxed his body and laid flat onto the fox below him who was breathing hard. They laid there for a few minutes until the lupines head had cleared enough. Wolfe rose himself enough to be able to sit upright enough, his cock still tied to the fox. Alex opened his eyes and looked up to the wolf. "Ich brauche noch eine Dusche. (I need another shower.)" Alex said as he looked down to his chest. His fur was matted in cum from having released a second time, coating him and the lupine. "Nachher könnten wir runde zwei drehen ... (Well after that we could go for round two...)" The lupine said with a snicker. Alex just grinned at him as he pushed the wolf back down to the bed and sat upon him, still tied. "Wer sagt dass wir nicht jetzt gleich fortfahren können? (Well who says we can't just continue right now?)" The fox said with a renewed source of energy and desire.
It was customary for the briefings to take them all through to the afternoon, Douglas preferred to make sure that no information was left out and all questions answered. Steve and Karen had taken thorough notes that seemed of the most value. Once on break, they had went down to the cafeteria to put something into their stomachs. "Oh I hope they have some sort of big meal today, I am starving." Karen said as she picked up a tray on the far end of the line. "They should, amazingly there are more people here than usual. I would take Douglas has almost everyone in today." Steve replied as he walked along side her. After retrieving a hefty meal, they sat at a table overlooking the courtyard where Veronica could be seen. Veronica was discussing the properties of nuclear fusion and its use with Dekoret amongst a group of research analysts when she turned to them. "Do you think Dekoret could be used for something more than what we have seen it used for?" She asked to Steve. "In theory, yes. It is stable enough that in practical application it could replace much of today's energy sources." The fox replied as he set his cane along the window. "But, it seems that we are to eliminate any trace of Dekoret." The white lupine said as she looked out the window.
They all sat quiet, slowly eating since it was becoming a sensitive subject. Like the development of the atom bomb, Dekoret could become a new gift to the world, yet it's destroyer. "Hey guys!" Jacob said as he and Mark ran to their table. "Hello. How goes the testing?" Steve asked as he raised his drink to his muzzle. "It works. The Dekoret is completely neutralized when we use it." Mark said with confidence. "We already named it ''Reversion''. The Dekoret is broken down into simple carbon molecules as everything else is burned away." Jacob said as he took a seat. "Then we stand a good chance to eliminate anything that they decide to throw at us while using Dekoret." Veronica said. "Well why don't you two get a plate and join us?" Karen said.
The two left to join the line, it being shorter than when Steve and Karen got there. Returning to the table Veronica turned back to them. "A portion of the mission is going to involve posing as guests to the event, we'll be surveying." She said as she showed Mark her notes. "Looks like we'll be attending an energy conference. My guess is that since we invest in new energies we can easily get in." Jacob said as he too glanced over them. "Security is being beefed up for this event since all that's been going on over the last few years. We'll have to be very careful to not draw attention to ourselves." She said as she closed her notes back up. They continued to eat. Once finished, the five of them walked down to the courtyard and sat at a table under one of trees. They relaxed as they waited for when they would need to return to the conference room. Douglas walked into the courtyard when it was time for them to come back, the group following him back into the building and to the long table to continue briefing.
Jessica was SMS messaging him all day, every day for the last week since they had met at school. She couldn't seem to keep herself from not wanting to talk to him.
'I'm going to be back in town tomorrow morning.' Jessica replied. 'Cool. Why don't we hang out?' 'That would be nice. What do you want to do?' 'We can go get something to eat or catch a movie...' 'How about both?' 'Sounds like a plan to me. Do you want me to pick you up?' 'Yeah that would be nice. : 3' 'Sweet. So how was your trip?' 'It was good. Got to see my new baby cousin and my grandma.' 'He he he... That's good.'
The fox continued her conversation as her dad loaded up the car with their bags that they brought. Her mom was inside helping her sister with the baby. She was all giddy as she focused her attention into her phone, pushing the keys to keep up in the conversation with the fur she was talking to on the other side. They said their goodbyes to the family and began the long journey back to Shadow Cascade from Arizona.
'I'm going to lose signal soon.' The fox sadly typed. 'It's okay. I'll see you tomorrow though. ^.^' 'Totally. We'll have fun.' 'For sure, I'll ttyl and see you at 10 then.'
Just before the vulpine had the chance to reply her phone's battery had been completely depleted. 'Damn it, always when it's the most inconvenient.' She thought as she wished she could have remembered to charge the device before they left. Jessica sighed knowing that she would have lost signal anyways. Instead of keeping herself down, she pulled her iPod out of her pocket and hit shuffle and used it to tune out the bumps in the road as they entered the highway.
Jacob and Mark had walked up to the quarters building that they would be staying in for the night. "I thought that briefing would never end." Jacob said as he reached into his pocket for his ID badge so he could open the door. "I can definitely understand that one." Mark said as he dragged the bags in behind him and shut the door. Jacob lay down on the bed and sighed deeply into the pillow top. The lion climbed into the bed with him and rested his body against the lupines. As they rested their tired bodies a knock on the door made them wish they couldn't hear. "I'll get it." Jacob said as he rose from his comfortable position on the bed. Mark grumbled as the lupine trudged to the door unwillingly. Opening the door he was quiet surprised to see the fur on the other side. "Sir, what's up?" He said to the ursine as he stood in the doorway. "Jacob I need you to come with me, it's Veronica." He said before bursting into tears. Mark got up from the bed as he heard the ursine breaking down before Jacob. Two medical officers came running down the hall with a chart in one of their paw. "Sir, we need you in the medical ward." A hare said to Jacob as she handed over the chart. "She's in critical condition and declining." The other medical officer said, a ferret. Jacob opened the chart and looked trough it briefly before dropping it to the ground and breaking into a run out of the building. "Mark, something happened to her that we couldn't pick up." Douglas said through his tears to the lion. "Come on Douglas, let's go and catch up with Jacob." Mark said as he helped the bear to his feet.
Jacob continued through to the main building, choosing to take the stairs to get him up to the medical ward faster. He flagged over one of the nurses and ran into Veronica's room. She was in the bed, monitors hooked up to her and one of the doctor's signing papers and handing it to one of the medical officers in the room. "Jacob, she's critical. I'm ordering new blood work to be ran on her." He said as he kicked his hoof to the ground. "Well I don't know what it could be but I have a hunch. Get a hold of Uroso and tell him to bring up one of the Reversions." He said to the horse sternly. Walking over to the bed he noticed a strange coloring in the lupine's fur. It was shimmering. 'Dekoret poisoning.' He thought to himself as the horse came back into the room. "I called him and he is already on his way to get one." The black stallion reported. "Good, I need you to get a scanner. She has Dekoret poisoning, look at her fur." He said to the stallion. The horse looked at the shimmering strands of fur. "How can this be? She was within normal limits of exposure." The horse said as he ran over to the supply cart and grabbed the scanner. Jacob activated the device and began to run through the menus. He adjusted some of the settings and then opened the lupine's eye and held it to her. A laser emitted from it and scanned her eye. The wolf then went over to her arm and pressed another toggle on the screen where it the scanned the length of her arm in a blue light. Waiting for the results to appear Uroso, Douglas, and Mark came into the room.
"Sir, she has Dekoret poisoning." The lupine said as he showed the device to the ursine, it's small colored LCD showed results on it. "How can she have been poisoned when we found her to be fine?" Douglas said, his eyes were still red from shedding tears. "I had to adjust some of the settings on the scanner to pick up the specific wavelengths of radiation." Jacob said as he looked to Veronica. "That's right, Dekoret has almost twenty-two separate ones. By default the scanners can only pick up five of the most common ones." Uroso said as he set the Reversion on the ground. Jacob checked the results that were on the screen before he turned and walked to the Reversion. "Uroso, I need a data cable." The wolf demanded as he pulled away a small panel on the scanner and on the Reversion. Uroso pulled out a cable from his bag that he had brought full of tools. "What are you going to do?" Douglas asked with worry in his voice. "I'm going to program the Reversion to neutralize the specific wavelengths to eliminate the advance." Jacob said as he called the lion over with his paw. Mark picked up the Reversion and laid it down a chair that the stallion had brought over. As Jacob linked up the device, Uroso fished inside his bag for a notebook. He handed the notebook to him as well as a pen. Jacob turned his attention away from the Reversion as he began to scrawl out equations on to the sheet of paper. "If I'm correct, I can change the energy beam to be non-harmful and to be able to destroy any trace of Dekoret in her." Jacob said as he finished his math and turned back to the Reversion, hastily entering numbers onto a small panel near the cable socket.
Douglas sat in worry, as he looked upon his adopted daughter. She had a distinguished look of pain on her face, no known way to try and help her at this point. Veronica's coat was subtly shimmering in the glittered glow that had formed. It was the same glow that Xavier had. Jacob continued his fumbling as he talked to himself in hopes that his work would be a solution. "Mark, pick it up and point it right at her chest." Jacob said as he confirmed his programming on the screen. "Jacob do you even know if this will work?" The ursine shouted as he snarled at him. "You have one of two options: she dies right here or she lives. Take your pick." Jacob said as he held the scanner in his paw, waiting for an approval. The four of them in the room were silent as they could hear the Reversion charging, the monitors in the room that were attached to Veronica continued to display her leaden condition. "Do it." Douglas said as he snarled to Jacob. Jacob pointed to the stallion who quickly went and pulled all of the monitoring equipment from the lupine's body. Mark went into a position to stabilize the weapon to point at Veronica. Jacob checked the screen one last time and looked around the room.
Exhaling, he pushed in the command to let the Reversion fire. The device began to build energy to it's opening before it fired a strong purple ray into the wolf's chest. Veronica's body lifted lightly as the beam struck her body. "Hold it steady..." Jacob said as he looked to Mark sternly. Mark held it carefully as he could feel the Reversion pulsing in his paws. A minute passed as the ray washed over Veronica, Jacob readying the device so he could shut it off. Jacob entered in a series of codes into the scanner and the beam killed off completely. Ripping the cord from the scanner out, Jacob changed over the scanner and began running it over her. The stallion quickly pulled his stethoscope from around his neck and began to take Veronica's vital signs; one of the medical leads came in and began to help him reattach the monitors. Jacob finished his scans and started processing the data. "Jacob? How is she?" The ursine said angrily as the lion grabbed hold of him as he became slightly enraged. Jacob looked at the screen one more time before he turned to Douglas with the verdict.
It was a warm, sunny morning in the frozen landscape of the city they lived in. Jessica had been looking out her window for the last hour in excitement even though she knew that he would be there at ten like they had agreed. Going over to the mirror one more time, she looked herself over and fixed her clothes up enough to keep her mind busy. 'I hope we have fun. He's so handsome and such. I cant believe he just started talking to me all of a sudden like that.' She giggled to herself after that last thought. She walked down the stairs to the living room and sat on the couch when a familiar fur walked into the house. "What's up?" Scott exclaimed as he let himself in. "Hey Scott, how are you?" She said as she got up from her seat to greet the panther. "Not much just wanted to see what you were up to. Is he on his way?" The panther inquired. Jessica blushed a fiery red, her smile being from cheek to cheek. Scott laughed heartily as he embraced the fox. "You're nervous, are you not?" Scott said to her. "Of course I am. I just hope it goes well. He's like... so different and sweet." She said as she broke the embrace and smiled once more. "That's better. Keep your head high and be positive." Scott said as he fixed her jacket.
They smiled at one another and sat back on the couch once more. She sighed as she looked at her cell phone for the time. She became antsy in her seat. Scott turned on the television and tried to find something to keep them busy.
He pulled into the driveway of her house in his black Chevrolet Camaro; he had been parked on the opposite street for nearly ten minutes before pulling in out of nervousness. Before stepping out of his car, he looked into the vanity mirror on the other side of the sun visor on last time and fixed his head fur, checked his teeth, and made sure to check his clothes. 'Okay buddy, it's a simple date. Just two kids hanging out.' He said to himself as he fished out a piece of gum from his center counsel. Exhaling he opened the door to his car and stepped out, slowly advancing to the front door. He held back for just a second, then raised the bar on the door and knocked three times. The door opened and a panther that stood noticeably shorter than him greeted him, Scott from his elective class. "Is Jessica in?" The fox said as he smiled to Scott, waving his paw to him. Scott smiled back, knowing that he definitely didn't make a mistake on this one.

This chapter and chapter 13 were in on chunked submission because they were kinda short on their own, but instead I split them out into they're own submissions since it really wont matter. Next up is Chapter 13 - Dusty Trails and Turning Tides.
