#4 of Together in song

Here's chapter 4 in this story, which will of course focus mainly around the new pair, Cora and Trillia, but of course it can't go on without Aria and Melody, now can it? =^.^= Oh, and expect to see Butch back as well, he's been a fun character to use, even if he hasn't had many appearances. Maybe a prequel might be in order, come to that...anyway... It's Friday after school, and Cora and Trillia are ready to go off with Aria and Melody to their place after Cora and Aria's little...encounter in the restroom. It is, of course, music night at the place with the cheesy name, the Open Stage, but there's still some time before that to see what everyone will do. Enjoy =^.^=

  • * * "So...what did she say?" the swan asked somewhat timidly as Aria entered the classroom, leaving the two in the rapidly emptying hall, though she stopped to say good-bye to Tara, the jaguar in her music class, who promised that she'd be at the entertainment bar that night. "Well...um..." the robin muttered, thinking back to that encounter with the skunk in the restroom, that she herself had initiated, about an hour ago. "She said to just...go with what comes naturally." "Huh? What's that mean, really?" "I guess to just go for what feels right, and if you're stopped, to wait for some other time," Cora said, recalling some of what Aria had told her, a little difficult to do through the recollection of the pleasure she'd been given during that short time. "Like this, then?" Trillia smiled, wrapping her arms lightly around the robin's neck and leaning forward, closing her eyes as she pressed their lips together in a kiss, which both girls lost themselves in until they heard footsteps approach from the classroom, and broke the kiss, separating and blushing slightly. "Ready to go?" the older vixen, Melody, asked as she came out of the classroom first, followed immediately by the glasses-wearing skunk in their class, Aria. Receiving a nod from the avian pair, Melody led the other three down the hall, Aria remaining close by her side while Trillia and Cora walked side-by-side right behind them, tentatively holding hands, the robin's mind filled with thoughts of she and the swan being together, and what she'd been...taught by the skunk. It didn't take long to get to Melody and Aria's house, and the two residents took their shoes off by the door as they entered, their guests having no shoes between them to remove. "Go ahead and sit over in the living room, maybe turn on some music or something," Melody suggested, motioning to the room right by the door, in which there was a couch, a TV on a TV stand that held a DVD player and a few DVDs, as well as the VCR that her 'big brother' Butch, a large black bear, had well since suggested she get, and a table by the couch that held a radio. "Does anyone need anything to drink? I'm getting some water for myself, so I figured I'd ask?" she asked, looking among the three other girls. "I'm alright, thanks," Aria said. "Some water would be nice. How about you, Cora?" Trillia asked, glancing to the robin. "Yeah, that sounds good," Cora said absently, looking around what she could see of the house. The stairs leading to a few rooms, the only one of which she could see being a bathroom between two others, a hall to the kitchen, the living room they'd been offered to sit in. There was probably another room attached to the kitchen that she couldn't see, she guessed from what she could see of it, but that hardly seemed to matter at the moment as she noticed Melody wander off to the kitchen while Trillia and Aria went into the living room, taking a seat at opposite ends of the couch. Returning to the situation right now, Cora blushed slightly and walked into the living room after they'd sat, sitting on the couch a short distance from Trillia as Aria reached over near her to turn the radio on lightly to some soft music. "So, either of you two considered singing up on stage tonight?" Aria asked the avian pair in general, looking between them and leaning back a little against the arm of the couch. "I'd like to..." Trillia said. "What I'd really like to see is Drake getting up there," she joked, and she and Aria shared a giggle. "How about you, Cora? I'm sure it would be fun," she offered, looking to the robin sitting beside her, who was glancing off into space, suddenly snapped back to reality at the sound of her name. "I don't know...I'm not really much good at that sort of thing..." she said quietly. "Why wouldn't you be? You're a bird, they're supposed to be great singers," Melody smiled, walking into the room and handing Trillia and Cora each a glass of water, walking over to sit by Aria, who scooted over so she could have the place by the arm of the couch and place her glass on the table so she didn't have to hold it, the skunk snuggling contentedly up to her as soon as she sat down. "Just go for it, you don't have anything to lose," Aria suggested. "I didn't think I was that great at singing my first time up on stage, but everyone proved me wrong." "And besides, like Aria told me Melody was up there for her, I'll be up there for you," Trillia smiled, taking one of the robin's hands in hers. "I'd say maybe Tara would be up there for Drake, but that probably wouldn't work out too well," Aria giggled, referencing she and Trillia's two classmates that they'd been close with since near the middle of the previous school year, Tara a jaguar who could be a little rough with others, especially Drake, but was generally kind-hearted, and Drake, a wolf and one of the very few males in the music class that they were each a part of, who tried to be nice but was often overly blunt. "If those two are going to get up there as well, then it's sounding to me like we're going to have to go early with this crowd we're taking," Melody stated, rather looking forward to this night, both as a teacher and, she liked to think, a friend to those going tonight, except perhaps Cora, who she was just meeting but felt like she could get along quite well with. She seemed shy, unsure of herself and what she wanted, but Trillia liked her and she didn't seem like a bad person, so there seemed no problem. "We'll have the usual open table that the owner's been giving Aria for the past few years anyway, so seating you all won't be a problem." "She gets a table just for her?" Trillia asked, looking to Aria and Melody with a curious stare. "How come?" "He does that for the regulars Friday nights, it looked like to me," Aria replied. "I think the first few weeks I was just getting there early enough, but after that the table always seemed to be empty, even if the ones around it weren't." "Why were you going there every Friday night?" Cora asked, a little curious herself. "To watch me, I suppose," Melody giggled, and Aria nodded. "She's one of those few that've been going every week since I started a few years ago to listen to me sing up on stage." "Then...how'd you two get together? I heard you were the one that started it..." "That I did. After I helped her out a little with some boy, we'd spent a few weeks after the shows chatting and, well...I suppose it just led to this. Why she still came to my place the day after I'd offered and then kissed her, I still don't really know." "Because you'd been there for me, of course," Aria replied, snuggling a little closer to the vixen. "I guess I just wanted someone there after that punk I'm not sure why I ever dated to begin with, and you already were...I'm certainly not regretting it." "Why are you two sitting apart like that, though? You can feel free to enjoy each other's company around us," Melody smiled comfortingly, noting that all the avians were currently doing was sitting a little apart and holding hands...well, Trillia was still holding Cora's hand, at least. Nodding to Melody, Trillia held Cora's hand a little more firmly in hers, resting her shoulder against the robin's and nuzzling her head into her neck, causing the robin to blush. "Oh yeah...do Tara and Drake know how to get to the bar? I'm not sure we told them," Aria asked, glancing up to her vixen lover. "Don't worry, I called Butch over, he should be here about a quarter to seven to pick us up and then pick those two up. I'm a teacher, so of course I have their addresses," Melody smiled. "So you already planned to get there early, then?" "Well, those two and Trillia brought the group trip up just after class, so I planned everything out then. Since we live together, I figured you wouldn't mind." "Of course not, it should be fun," Aria nodded, turning her gaze to the two avians and catching Cora's eye, looking nervously over to them as if for support, giving her a smile and nod. Still blushing, Cora looked away from the other pair, glancing down to Trillia and catching her eyes looking cutely in that position up to her, a strange yellowish-orange color while hers were a simple blue. Having to inwardly struggle a little to keep from losing herself in that gaze, she placed her free hand lightly on the side of the swan's face, who smiled and lifted herself up off her a little, a quick glance directed down to the robin's lips, anticipating, hoping for, a kiss. Not wishing to hold from the swan what she wanted, particularly this early in the relationship, Cora pressed her lips lightly against Trillia's, caressing the feathered skin of the swan's face and shifting the hand on its side around to the back, holding her into the kiss as the avians closed their eyes. Using one of Aria's teachings, she parted their lips ever so slightly while keeping them together, allowing room enough for her tongue to slip beyond the pair of lips and into Trillia's mouth, the swan's tongue eagerly rushing up to greet it. Pressing further forward, she lifted her legs up onto the couch, spreading her knees wide so she could straddle the swan, pressing her body up against hers, eliciting a moan of pleasure, the hand that wasn't holding one of the robin's resting limply at her side. Not wishing to make a show of it, Aria and Melody took their cue to get up and silently leave the room, wandering into the kitchen to sit at the table there. "Did Cora say anything about being with a girl before? She seems fairly good at it for someone that seems to have so little confidence," Melody asked, a curious stare directed to the skunk. "She's tried, but hasn't had much luck, she told me," Aria replied. "So then...did you...?" "Just a little, back in the restroom between class. I figured I'd go along with her request to teach her how to be with a girl to hopefully help those two out," Aria said, a little timidly. She was sure Melody wouldn't mind, but there was always that possibility that she would. "Good job, then," Melody giggled, and Aria smiled at the pleasant reaction to it. "You didn't go too far, I hope?" "No. I think Cora wanted me to a little, but I told her she'd have to wait until she was with Trillia, and just go with what she felt was right." "Good, because I like to think that that's reserved for me," Melody joked, a hint of seriousness in there. "Of course," Aria smiled, placing a kiss on the vixen's lips. "You, and nobody else, ever." "Mmm...I thought you said...you'd never actually been with a girl before..." Trillia moaned softly, her head tilted back as Cora nipped lightly at the base of her neck, her fingers working to undo the buttons on the swan's shirt. "Once...sort of...earlier today..." Cora said a little nervously between her gentle nips, releasing the final button and slipping the shirt off, letting it hang between the couch and Trillia's back. "You mean...with Aria?" Trillia asked, a little surprised but enjoying this too much to even begin to mind. "That skunk girl, yeah..." Cora nodded slightly, backing off from the swan's neck. "I guess I'll have to thank her later, then," Trillia giggled, sliding a few fingers down the robin's chest then bringing them back up after hooking the bottom of her shirt, Cora raising her arms to allow the shirt to be pulled all of the way off her before the swan locked her in another kiss, each girl now reaching behind the other's back as Trillia pressed forward into Cora to undo the bras, the girls separating slightly for a few moments so they could be removed and discarded to the side. Pressing her body once more into the swan's, the girls' breasts rubbing together as a result, Cora resumed the kiss, this time allowing the swan's curious tongue to slip into her mouth, tracing the fingers of one hand down Trillia's side, stopping to tug lightly at the top of her skirt, the girls' current positioning not readily allowing for either to remove the last remnants of their clothes. "Maybe we should...get up for a bit?" Trillia suggested, noticing this fact, and Cora nodded, getting up off her. Allowed to move freely again, the avians wasted little time in removing their skirts, freeing their feathered tails from them, and then their panties, standing naked before one another, gazing upon the other's uncovered form. Not wishing to be trapped against the couch any longer, though she had rather enjoyed it, Trillia initiated the next kiss, wrapping her arms tightly around Cora's neck and pressing her body against the robin's to the point that she fell back onto the couch in a laying position, bringing the swan down with her, who held her through the fall to make sure the kiss wouldn't be broken. Both girls immediately moaned in pleasure as their breasts collided against one another, as did their slits between their legs, sliding against the other as Trillia carried her legs up onto the couch. Feeling herself begin to get wet between her legs at the sensations of the beautiful swan laying atop her, caressing her tongue against hers, Cora stroked a hand lightly down Trillia's back, stopping just above her feathered tail and pulling her down harder into her, forcing their slits to press more firmly together, eliciting a further moan from the swan as she felt herself becoming wet as well. Needing more of this feeling building in her, Trillia rubbed her body into Cora's, grinding their breasts and slits together, rapidly raising the pressure building until it exploded with the mere addition of a few of the robin's fingers roaming the side of one of her breasts, mimicking this action on the robin to set her off as well, a rush of wetness from between both girls' legs one at a time, bodies tensing until settling down after it was over, the kiss broken as they arched their backs hard into each other. "Th...that felt...good..." Cora muttered, wrapping her arms heavily around the swan resting atop her, breathing hard after that ordeal. "Mind if I rest here a little while longer?" Trillia asked breathlessly, lying limply on the robin. "I'll need to get some energy back to sing tonight." "I don't mind...we probably should get cleaned up before our ride comes, though..." "Yeah, you're probably right," Trillia giggled. A few hours passed, Melody and Aria passing the time in their room...well, Melody's room, technically, since Aria's things were in the other upstairs bedroom, but they slept together regardless, so it could thus be called both their room. Hearing the shower running in the bathroom just out in the hall, the only one in the house, they went back downstairs to the kitchen to fix some dinner for themselves and their two guests. By the time the avian pair came out of the bathroom, the kitchen table was just being set with four plates of fish fillets and some assorted cut-up fruit, items that everyone in the house would likely enjoy. "What smells good?" Trillia asked as she walked into the kitchen, freshly showered and with her clothes back on, followed closely by Cora, who was also clean and clothed. "Some fish and fruit salad, hope you like it," Melody said, taking a seat by Aria as she placed the last plate, her own, on the table. Not saying anything more for the moment, the four girls, the two pairs of lovers, simply sat there and ate, enjoying the food that Melody and Aria had prepared, glancing over to the oven clock to check on the time, see how long it would be before it was time to leave. At the moment, they had a little over half an hour, which seemed plenty of time. "So, I suppose you two are an official couple then?" Melody asked a short while later, her gaze and question directed to Trillia and Cora. Noticing Trillia looking to her as if wanting her to answer the question, Cora nodded, blushing slightly. "Yeah, I guess we are," she, the more unsure member of the couple, answered, and Trillia smiled. "That's good to hear," Aria said, smiling as well. "If you ever need anything, feel free to let us know." "Oh, yeah...can I...talk to you for a bit, Aria?" Trillia asked the skunk, glancing over to the clock briefly. Fifteen minutes left. Nodding, Aria followed Trillia out of the kitchen and over to the living room, leaving Cora and Melody behind in the kitchen, the vixen busying herself with retrieving and rinsing off the dishes while Cora glanced around the room nervously, her eyes rarely settling on one place for more than a few seconds. "Cora told you about what happened while I wasn't in class, I suppose?" Aria asked, hoping Trillia, her best friend, wouldn't mind. "Yeah...I guess I should say thanks, I wouldn't have known what I was doing and I'm not quite sure she would've even kissed me if you hadn't pushed her along," Trillia said, blushing slightly. "She is pretty nervous, but she definitely does want to be with you, and is starting to show it, so I suppose that's good enough," Aria smiled, and Trillia nodded. "Definitely...thanks again..." Trillia said quietly, suddenly wrapping her arms around Aria's neck and drawing her into a kiss. Smiling and accepting it, though hoping the other two wouldn't see them, Aria wrapped her arms lightly around the swan's waist, closing her eyes and murring slightly into the kiss, which ended up relatively brief. After that, they sat on the couch, chatting about possibilities for Cora and Trillia for the future, until a knock on the door signalled Butch's arrival, Aria getting up immediately to open the door for the large black bear. Once Melody was finished with the dishes, which didn't take long at all, she returned to her seat, resting her gaze on Cora, briefly thinking over how to go about this first one-on-one opportunity she'd had with the robin that had fallen for one of her best students and her lover's best friend, Trillia. "Why so nervous all the time? Everyone here's friendly, and obviously Trillia really likes you," Melody smiled comfortingly, hoping to open the robin up a little. "I'm just...not used to actually having a chance for a relationship, or being around other people much..." Cora said quietly, fixing her gaze on the table before her, feeling uncomfortable about letting it wander while she was talking to someone. "That's understandable, but you should at least be able to open up more to people you know. Even if not to me yet, to Trillia at least." "I really don't get...why she'd go for me knowing I was using her boyfriend like that...she'd probably still have him if I didn't..." "Enough of that," Melody said, switching seats to sit one away from the robin instead of across the table from her, taking one of her hands gently. "Maybe it wasn't exactly the right way to go about it, but it's already done, and now you two are together, so stop worrying about it and simply enjoy it." "But what if...I end up wanting someone else, or she doesn't really like me, or..." Done with Cora's protesting and doubt, Melody silenced her the quickest way she could currently think of. She kissed her. Only briefly, but it was enough. "Of course she likes you, otherwise she wouldn't be with you. She's a sweet girl, honest about her feelings," Melody said, breaking the kiss, leaving Cora breathless. "And if you end up developing a little crush on someone else, I wouldn't worry about it as long as you love Trillia and keep her as your only true mate. Maybe it's just me, but I think Trillia might've developed a small crush on my beautiful skunk, and after what I heard happened earlier, I wouldn't be too surprised if you have as well." "Y...yeah..." Cora stammered, blushing furiously after that soft kiss from the older vixen. It was true, she'd seemed to get along well with Aria given what they'd been talking about while sitting against the bathroom wall, and she had quite enjoyed her experience with the skunk...to say that she had a small crush on her would be accurate enough. But nonetheless, Trillia was the one she truly wanted. "But Trillia's the one you really love, am I right in guessing?" Melody asked, and Cora nodded. "Then that's good enough for it to work between you two." The two continued to talk for a little while longer before Melody's ears perked up and she looked in the direction of the door, hearing a knock before hearing it opened shortly after. "Butch! Just on time," Aria smiled. "Of course," the large black bear grinned, flashing semi-sharp teeth for a moment before slipping sideways through the doorway and into the house as Aria moved to the side to allow him to, not before sharing a hug with her 'big brother'. "Trillia, right? Pleasure to meet you," he said, holding a large paw to the swan standing at the entrance to the living room, somewhat intimidated by the large bear. "Oh...um...yeah, pleasure to meet you, too," Trillia said timidly, placing a hand against the paw for him to take and shake lightly, hardly requiring any movement on the part of his hand. "Right on time as usual, huh, big brother?" Melody giggled, sharing a small hug with the bear while Cora hung back a little, wandering over to where Trillia was, glancing nervously to the bear a few times. "Hm...hope you've saved some of that fish for me," Butch chuckled, catching the scent of the fish they'd eaten earlier. "Of course, we wouldn't forget about you. Hold on, I'll go and get it, we've been keeping it warm," Aria said, making her way to the kitchen to retrieve it while the bear glanced down to the robin. "One more than I was expecting, it looks like, but I can fit everyone into the van. So, who might you be? I'm Butch, Melody and Aria's unofficial big brother," he asked. "Um...Cora...I'm Trillia's friend..." Cora replied nervously. "Pleasure to meet you, then, Cora," Butch grinned, sniffing once more at the air as he caught the scent of fish coming closer. "We should probably get going to pick Drake and Tara up, so I'll hold on to this for you. Hope you don't mind waiting 'til we get to the bar?" Aria said as she approached, holding a plate with two large pieces of fish on it, still steaming slightly. "I'm sure I can manage. Come on, then, everyone out to the van," Butch said, slipping out of the door to the driver's seat of his van as the girls put their shoes on, Aria having to set the plate down on the floor momentarily. "I hope you two don't mind sitting in the back with Tara when we pick her up?" Melody asked as they walked out the door, directing her question to Trillia and Cora. "That's fine with me, I call center seat," Trillia giggled, and Cora simply nodded. Allowing the avians to get in first to move to the back, Melody took a seat in the middle row behind Butch while Aria took the seat right next to it, closing the doors on their sides so Butch could drive off. The first stop was Tara's house, the jaguar already waiting for them on a porch seat, coming up to the van as soon as they pulled up and looking around to see where she'd be sitting, finally opening the door by Aria to slip by her and into the back row by Trillia, just behind Melody. "Hey Trillia, who's your friend?" Tara asked, looking to the robin before turning her gaze to the swan sitting next to her. "And for that matter, who's the bear?" she continued, turning her eyes to the driver. "This is Cora," Trillia said, glancing pointedly to the robin briefly. "And that's Butch, Aria and Melody's 'unofficial big brother,' I guess." "Well, nice to meet you both," the jaguar said before the van took off again. "Boys in front, huh? Man..." Drake half-heartedly complained as the van pulled up to the wolf's house only for him to hop off his bike, not seeming to care that it thus dropped onto the driveway by the garage, just returning on it as the van came. Shrugging, he opened the passenger side door in front, climbing into the seat and glancing around the inside, spotting two unfamiliar faces, one of whom was sitting right next to him. "Back there's Cora, and that's Butch," Aria answered his unspoken question, receiving another shrug from the wolf before they drove off to the Open Stage. "Hey...now that I think of it, why's it smell like fish?" Tara asked, sniffing around. "Oh, right, we're saving some for Butch to eat there," Aria answered once more. "What, none for us, then?" Drake complained, once again half-heartedly. "Don't worry, if you want something we can get some food at the bar," Melody said. "I don't suppose this counts for school credit?" "I'll think about it." Soon they reached the bar and shuffled out of the van, Aria handing over the plate of fish to Butch before they walked in, finding Aria's table empty as usual, though most of the tables were taken, unexpectedly. "Well, looks like everyone's here. I suppose we can get this show started soon, then?" the owner asked, walking up to the group. Melody had known him for years, and Aria had finally gotten to meet him for the first time a few weeks after she started, after which she saw him fairly regularly. He was a tiger, relatively thin-set and with black hair atop his head graying from age. "Of course, just give us a moment so we can decide who's going to go up first," Melody said. "Bar's a bit busier than I'm used to seeing it...I suppose you spread the word." "Naturally," the tiger chuckled. "Shows like this are certainly good for business, and it's always nice having some live entertainment instead of all this recorded music day in and day out." "As long as you're not inviting all these people just to make money off them," Aria joked, giggling, knowing that that wasn't the case. The owner was a kind person, and always seemed to want people to have a good time in his bar from what she'd seen those times she'd come on days other than Friday. People would occasionally ask to be allowed on stage, and he'd let them every time. "Just tell me whenever you're ready, and I'll shut off the rest of the music," he smiled, wandering off to the back. "So...who does want to go first? I think I'll pass on it," Melody asked as they took seats around the table, Butch wandering off to the side where there was a seat that could support him, set there just for him for those times he stayed with Melody, or more recently Melody and Aria. "I say we make Drake get up there," Tara suggested. "Why me?" he protested. "Probably because you're the only boy of the group," Trillia giggled. "Just go ahead, we've got plenty of time if you want to go up there again later," Aria said. "Fine, just to get you all off my back," Drake grumbled, walking over to the back room joined by Melody, so she could catch the owner's attention. A few moments later, he walked nervously up onto the stage as the music stopped throughout the bar, leaving it in silence, taking a deep breath as he approached the mic. The wolf started out relatively poorly, but seemed to get over it quickly enough, finishing his song without too much trouble and walking nervously off the stage as the crowd applauded. "I...I'd like to go next...I can sing whatever I want, right?" Cora asked timidly as Drake returned to the table, taking a drink from the glass of water set out for him. "Of course, and if you have a song of your own, then all the better," Melody said, and the robin nodded, wandering off to the back. "Should I go with her?" Trillia asked. "If you want, I'm sure nobody would mind." Nodding, Trillia got up quickly and followed Cora to the back, meeting her in the room leading to the stage. "Just thought I'd give you some help, if you want it," Trillia said, placing a soft kiss on the robin's lips. "Thanks..." Cora smiled. "How about...we each do one song, then do one together?" "Sounds good," Trillia nodded, watching as Cora wandered out to the stage. Closing her eyes for a few moments, sorting through all the words she needed, she began to sing a song she'd come up with mostly on her own, opening her eyes just slightly through the song, barely enough to take in everyone taking up the tables in the bar, including the group she was with. After that, it was Trillia's turn, and she got through one of her songs easily and with apparent confidence, the crowd applauding for her perhaps harder than the two before her. A short while after she left the stage, she came back out with Cora after they decided together on a song they both knew. As they returned to the table, Tara went next, followed by Aria, with a new song she'd finished just recently, then Melody with a newer song from the past two months, then Aria and Melody with one of the vixen's older songs. A few members of the group returned to the stage from time to time over the rest of the night, and some of the patrons were even brave enough to try their hands at it, until it was almost 10 at night and the group decided that it was about time to get back home. Dropping everyone off in reverse order, Drake left the van first, waving good-bye to everyone and telling Aria and Melody to invite him again sometime, then Tara, also willing to go again. "Maybe, if it's alright, Cora and Aria could stay over at my place tonight?" Trillia suggested as they drove off from Tara's house. "Huh? Why me?" Aria asked, glancing back to the swan. "That way I can tell mom it's a sleepover, she might be a little suspicious if I just invite Cora," Trillia replied somewhat timidly. "You have a point...I hope you don't mind?" Aria asked, looking to Melody. "Of course not, Trillia's right about it not being suspicious, and it would be good for Cora to get to know her lover's best friend as well," Melody said, smiling reassuringly. "Great, I'll look forward to seeing you tomorrow, then," Aria said, leaning over to kiss the vixen lovingly, murring softly as it was returned. Stopping by the house to gather a few things for herself and to lend to Cora, Aria waved good-bye to Melody as she returned to the van, joining the other two girls in the back row as Butch drove off to Trillia's house, receiving directions to it while Aria had been in the house. Well, looks like this may call for another installment itself...didn't exactly plan for it, but I'm rather enjoying this series anyway, so it'll work out fine =^.^=
