Chakat to Human Chapter 1 Transformed

Chakat Starry-Sky lay on hir side, head and shoulders deep into the knee joint of a damaged battlemech. Drops of oil fell onto hir coat, marring one of the bluish-white spots that littered the otherwise pure black expanse of hir fur. Hir tail fluttered about with its own energy, occasionally wrapping around one tool or another to pass up to hir truehands. However, hir peaceful meditation was interrupted by the proximity alarm of hir tricorder, followed by a vibrant orange hued hand grabbing hir tail.

Starry-Sky started, then pulled hirself out of the battlemech's knee cavity to examine the offending hand, and the person it was attached to. A smile lit up hir face when shi saw Wyatt, a male biped foxmorph. As one gave a more thorough inspection, they would notice he had an average form, with figure that was not quite overweight, (but definitely not lean,) with plantigrade shoes, beige cargo pants, and a blue shirt emblazoned with a white smiley face. His head-hair was somewhat curley, and he had a mischievous smile and equally clever brown eyes. "Hello, what brings you here? I thought you said the smells gave you a headache." "Well miss Sky, your extremely planned and exquisite vacation begins in-" Wyatt glanced at his watch "-Fifteen minutes. I thought you would want the time to clean up and pack up."

The green-eyed chakat glanced over at the tricorder, which was still blinking its alarm, and saw that indeed, shi had better get moving because hir shore leave would start without hir. Shi hurriedly packed the tools back into their bag and sprang up. At an equally frantic pace, shi hurried off, then stopped. "Wyatt, could you take my bags to the shuttle for me? I'll meet you at the spaceport cafe!"

Without pausing to listen for an answer, the nervous feline again ran off.

Jasper Clemensen was a man with a mission. He walked up to the transporter controls, with papers to relieve the current technician on duty. Finally, the chance to do something about these gene-jokes... The first one to transport down is gonna have a great surprise...

Against all odds, Starry-Sky was among the first in line for the transport to Melbourne. Shi smiled at technician on duty, who gave a somewhat forced smile in return. He must of had a bad day, thought Starry-Sky, before proceeding onto the transporter platform.

There was the hum of electronics, the tapping of keys, the familiar second of non-sensation and--

It felt like getting out of a bath. The warm water replaced by cold air, and having to support yourself instead of lounging on the liquid cusion. Only instead of draining, the water simply dissapearing, leaving you with a jarring weight. And you couldn't stand, when you tried you fell down again. Just like that ancient greek legent about the man who could never push a boulder to the top of a hill, only you were the boulder. You could never stand up. And the air was cold. So cold that it was searing. More than a half of your body trapped in liquid nitrogen as an inferno raged about your torso. So much pain. Pain that filled your mind and ripped every neuron in two. Pain that crushed you. Pain that killed you. Pain that- Gone? How could the Pain be gone? Warm again, but not a bath. This... something had no waves. It was featureless. Nothing, almost as bad as the Pain, but bearable. Barely.

"-ky, wake up. Starry-Sky, can you hear me? Wake up. Starry-Sky, wake up." The nurse continued to murmur to the person on the hospital bed, until said person slowly opened their eyes. "Whu? Whu ha'end? Whu 'ong 'ith 'y 'ou'?" The nurse appeard to grimace -- or at least it seemed like it. Every thing looked blurred. "Ah... Starry-Sky... There was an... Incident. You were... Um... Transported into the body of an... Um... Male human." Notes: I noticed a lot of humans were being transformed into chakats. Looking at the Transformations story, by Bernard 'Goldfur' Doove, I thought that it would make more sense for a H1-er to try and turn a furry into a human. Please give me feedback, and sorry for the short chapter. Chakats and the Chakat Universe are copyright Bernard 'Goldfur' Doove.
