Okan'Ru
For some reasons, I was mostly drawing argonians recently and ended up developing the background of my character, Okan'Ru
I have done some research to make the story to make sense and be as lore-friendly as possible, but I hope I got it right. ^^;
Okan'Ru is native of Black Marsh and used to live in a camp in the north of the province. Not only stubborn, his great curiosity pushed him to explore the lands and ruins at younger ages to discover what was unknown to him, thought it doesn't stop him to be in trouble. However, he never dared to leave Black Marsh as he preferred to stay and help with protecting the camp, but that would no longer be the case. At the age of 20, the camp was raided by the Archeins tribe. Unfortunately, they were stronger than them and several Argonians were killed and some were enslaved, including himself. Most of the slaves were sold to the House Dres and were shipped in one of the slave-pens in Tear. He managed to survive the hard labor for about a year and was later sold to the House Hlaalu and being shipped to the Slave market in Suran, to be sold to the Caldera mines shortly after.He always considered working in the mines being harsher than the slave pens back in Tear as the mines, although rich in ebony, it was incredibly unstable, so it was needless to say he escaped death way to many times and even was trapped several times due to some tunnels collapsing. Fortunately, he managed to survive for three years.Riots weren't rare but once, luck was on his side and managed to escape the mines. Since he wouldn't be wise to seek refuge in villages nearby, especially since he had nothing and was naked, he decided to hide in the wilderness for a while. He survived by feeding himself from plants and fruits and by salvaging items, such as rag cloth, so he can cover himself during nights or storms. One day, he discovered and old shack in ruins and found damaged pants, a few gold coins and a couple of books. To pass time, he read the books and that's when he developed a passion by reading them.Since the riot, two weeks have passed and he believed it was now to go to the civilisation, for once. He ended up in Balmora, although a city of the House Hlaalu, he knew there were no slave markets and probably would be able to blend better since the population was varied. He then sold the books to be able to buy decent clothing and began looking for jobs, mostly at the Mages guild, which was usually about gathering ingredients in the market or in the wilderness. He then developed an interest in alchemy and even helped members into making potions. It wasn't long until he was recommended into joining the guild and became an apprentice so he can also learn magic.Part warrior, part mage, he was now considered to be a Spellsword.
