Chapter two: The huge ants
Hatter POV:I started to dry off Waffels hair as Kamen asked me why I asked him and Spirit here."Some thing to do with taking Waffels to the city." Spirit told him and I nod and look at them both."I can't do it on my own. The trip is long and treacherous." I continue to dry Waffels hair.Kamen shifted into his teen form and I see a light blush on her cheeks. I can see why. . . .He only wears a cape with his fur as cloths. . . .Spirit looks at me almost happily."Many monsters?" I nod"Yes a whole lot of them." He shifts into his assassin form and Kamen glares at me."You owe me two hot twins Hatter" Waffels sneezes and looks at Kamen confusingly as Spirit give him the Da Fuck face. I sigh and look at waffels hair noticing it went everywhere."Oh! Your hair!" I start to brush it out and look at Kamen wonder why I owed him girls."What? Why do I owe you girls?" He frowns and glares more."I was about to have a threesome. But the you had to call me to do this!"I wonder why he is sleeping with other people. . . . . .I shake my head making the disturbing
thoughts go away and I hear a faint purring and I look down at Waffels. She was snuggling into my coat I gave her and smiling sleepily. I smile on the inside but on the outside I glare back at Kamen."I'm sorry for interrupting in. . . .that." when I really aint. I see Waffels look up at me confused."What does kitty mean?" I almost turn red but I held in the blush while Kamen took out his katana."He means he was going to take a nap with two nice ladies that looked like each other." She looks up at Kamen pouting cutely."Well that isn't really nice! Lazy butt!" Spirit came from the no were in this dester like place. I don't even rember him leaving. He was ridding a huge black wolf and he smiles huge."Meet my new pet! I named him Shadow!" I nod. The wolf can become helpful in battle with the enemies. Kamen looked at me an eye twitching."Really Hatter? Telling her that?" I smile and shrug innocently."What?" I smile sweetly looking as innocent I can be. He sighs and shakes his head. I look at everyone, "Lets move out then"Kamen nods, "Sure" Spirit sits on Shadows back as the huge creature follows along side me. I noticed Waffels being slow so I thought she was just tired and picked her up onto my back."I'm. . . .Sleep. . . ." She ends up falling asleep before ending her sentence. (Me: Is that not soooo adorable?!) Kamen looks at me after she fell asleep."Why did you tell her that? Why can't you just say the truth?" I look back at her sleeping form."Well. . . .I'm sorry shes is young and important. . ." Kamen looks at me and shakes his head."Whats the plans then?" "We need to go to a village to buy supplies and maps then head on out."After awhile of walking I fix how Waffels was sitting on my back and I look at Kamen."We need food clothing and ammo" I turn to Spirit "We need maps"Kamen nods and Spirit nods quickly, "Got it!" He rides off and I hear quiet purring again from Waffels. I look back to Kamen."I will get us a ride" I walk with Waffels on my back and head to find me Kamen and her a ride. I find a giant ant eater and buy it. I walk back were we meet up at. Kamen came back with some clothing and a few huge slabs of meat. I feel Waffels shake on my back and hear her sneeze waking herself up. I felt weight move off my back slightly from her moving."W-w-w-hat is th-that?" I look back at her smiling."A huge Ant eater." She seemed to relax. . . .Barely. . . .Spirit comes back with a few scrolls. Waffels snuggles back into my back adding weight to it again even tough I don't really mind it much. "Ok. . . ." I was about to reassure her it wasn't bad when she dozed off. . . .Hmmmm. . . . .Sleeping awfully a lot. . . . . Kamen readies his katana as Spirit readies his magic bow. I jump onto the giant Ant Eater and sit Waffels in front of me wrapping her in my coat as the temperature drops and hold her close so she wont fall off."I will drive the Ant Eater. Kamen get on." Spirit ride ahead of us and I hear a quiet sneeze."W-where are w-we going?" I looked down at Waffels and smile."To the city little one." She nods and I notice Kamen wasn't getting on."I will follow on foot." Waffels looks at him pouting."What about ki-sneeze-ty. . . ." I start to head off with Kamen right beside us."He just want to walk." She nods a little sad as we continue to ride.After hours we reach an opening in a rock. A giant ant appears and Waffels yelps and backs up against me as Spirit shot it with an arrow of blue engery."God damn that thing was huge!" I grin and look at him."Thats why the Ant Eaters are so big." He nods."Good evolution. . . . ." We watch as Kamen gets through it quickly with his cat like reflexes."Ok, Lets go." I feel waffels snuggle
into my chest almost making me blush. I pick her up and get off the Ant Eater as it run off. "We have to walk little one." She whimpers and nods clinging to my chest and yawns cutely."Ok. . . .But w-why am I so yawn tired?" I start to walk as Spirit leaps forward in front of us shooting many giant ants."I do not know why your so tired." I hear Kamen yelling at me from the other side looking very impatient. I cross easily and grin at him."Slow ass." I see waffels trying to stay awake mumbling something I couldn't catch and fall asleep. Spirit stands next to Kamen and look at me."You need to hurry up dude." "Ok lets go then." I put Waffels on my back and sprint forward as I hear her sneeze herself awake once again. Kamen looks at her then me looking confused."So whats with the girl Hatter?" Spirit runs next to me with Shadow."Yeah! Whats with her?" I reply calmly trying not to seem to sad."She is a family friend and I was ask to take her to the city." Kamen didn't seem to believe it but dropped it running faster."Fine just keep up." I feel Waffels put her arms around my neck in a hug."Thank you for
carrying me, Hatter." I smile and look back at her still running."Your welcome little one." I hear her purring quietly.After hours of running we come up on a huge sand hill. Spirit urges forward killing a ant half the size of the last ones but still huge. He continues to runs and looks back at us."You coming or not!?" I sigh heavily."We have to out run a bunch of ants now. . . ." Kamen runs up the hill and jumps over Spirit. I feel my eye twitch slightly at that. Show off. . . .I pick Waffels up and throw her to Spirit knowing he would catch her. I draw out my guns and to drop ants one by one. I hear her yelp and I see her shaking as Spirit gave her Kamen saying something. I yell at them over the gun shots and ants."Run! Get her out of here! I will hold them off!." I pull out a mini machine gun from under my coat almost grinning at what I'm about to do. I see Kamen running off with Waffels clinging to him. Spirit leaps over my head cutting down ants on every turn. I start to shot down the hole killing many ants at a time and it collapses making me fall in. I acept my fate but I felt someone grab my arm. I look up and see Spirit grinning down at me."Your not going down that easily." I smiles back.'Lets finish this." I throw a grenade into the hole as Spirit used his speed to take us to Waffels and Kamen. Waffels gets out of Kamens arm quickly and hugs us tightly. Kamen smirks at me."Your becoming a popular wolf, Hatter." I shrug."Nah just a little insane. Thats all." He looked like he was about to face palm."I knew that. . . . .""Lets get going now." Waffels grabs my hand with her tiny one smiling."Ok captain!" Kamen looked at me almost glaring like."This is as far I go without an explanation." I frown,"What do you mean?""You leave early this morning, with no explanation, and then as soon as I'm about to have one of the best experiences of my life you call me here on some kind of grand journey!" He seemed mad. . . .Nah that's just me."Hmmm. . . . Fine. We have to get the girl to the city like I said. She is the new queen. She was raised outside the city to get a fell of the land and its people." He glared harder. . . .Yea he is mad. . . ."And why should I care?" I tense and relax grinning knowing how to get him to continue with us. "The royal guard is some where in this Divide looking for her. They don't want her to rule, you can leave if you want Kai but I thought you care what happens to our land." He turns to leave and I yell back to im."Oh did I mention there is a ton of money in it for us?" He stoped dead in his tracks. Got em.
He sighs and comes back frowning."Fine. I'm going, I need to go find some twins and how much?""A lot. 5 million each and I will give you my share since I interrupted your nap." He grins widely and I swear I seen money signs in his eyes."Alright! I will join you!" I feel something clinging to my arm tightly and I hear sobbing. I look down to see Waffels crying. That made me sad."I don't want to leave. . . . ." I pick her up and place her on my back smiling."You wont have to. I will stay in the city with you." I hear Kamen snort."Oh will you now?" I glare at him and I feel weight on my back shift to the side Kamen was on. I turn my head to see Waffels rubbing Kamen behind his cat ears."sniff What about kitty?" He looks at me not phased from her pets."Yeah! What about me?" I grin."If he wants he can stay in the city. I'm sure lots of people would like to nap with a hero." I see Kamen glare at me and laughs."You know what Hatter? I am out! Have fun being a hero!" As he turns to leave Waffels jumps off my back and clings to one of his arms. I see his eyes soften, barely."Let go little one." I look at him
sadly."Fine Kai. . . .But I need her back." I see her rub his stomach trying to stop him but all he does and pick her up and hands her to me. She cries loudly reaching out to him shaking."Noooooo!!!!! Kitty!!!" We see his eyes glow orange and he disappears. I hear and see her sobbing and shaking tears running down her cheeks."W-w-w-why?" I shake my head and us my mind powers and send Kamen a message.'You really gonna do this. . . .Well I'm going to need those one things back. . . .' I look at Waffels sadly and put my coat on her picking her up."Come on. . . .Lets go. . . ." She cries more and looks up at me from my arms."Why did he leave us?!" I shake my head and hold her close starting to walk off with Spirit following slowly behind. He is oddly quiet. . . ."Its ok little one." We walk on for at least a day or so and happen upon a fire ant infested town. I feel Waffels tense up and shake."What are we going to do?" I frown."Ummm. . . . .Damn it. . . ." I run though it quickly and shoot many ants feeling one bit half way through my arm. . . .Shit. . . .
