THE SECRET ADVENTURES OF TAILS PROWER

~~~Chapter Three: Rescue by Three~~~

Standing from the viewpoint of the bridge, the shadowy figure almost blended completely with the view of space. Contempt with his victory over Knothole, he grinned wickedly and turned towards the imprisoned vixen. Sarah was still sobbing away when the blackened-furred fox approached her and spoke with his usual sinister tone, "Thank you for the Chaos Emerald. I knew you would find another one for me."

"Why?" Sarah cried out, "What did all those innocent people down there ever do to you? Why did you kill them all?!"

"It was the obvious choice. Destroy the entire village and rid of all my enemies in one single glorious strike. If I did not, they would certainly try to stop me."

"Surely there was no need to kill them? No one there deserved to die."

The dark fox sneered before releasing the shields that held the vixen captive, "The destruction of Knothole was my revenge for what was done to me."

"They did nothing to you. You didn't have to take your anger out on my friends!"

Out of the paws of the dark fox, shot out claw-like metallic blades and hovered over Sarah's neck as he whispered into her ear with a hint of anger in his tone, "You know nothing. I really don't want to hurt you, but I've answered enough of your annoying questions. Please leave me alone now."

"Do I even get to know your name?"

"My name is of no concern."

Hundreds of patrolling machines survey the area as they circled the flaming remains of the Knothole village. The sky was ablaze with a hellish, red glow as fire raged on and threatened to engulf the entire forest. To the east of the former village, a bird in distress distracted one of the machines. The machine was following orders to shoot to kill any thing that moves, as it vaporised the bird before being smacked backwards by a blue blur speeding towards it.

Gaining the attention of the entire squad in the area, all the metallic beasts opened fire and set ablaze the path behind the blue blur. The laser shows continued until two explosive charges were thrown from above into the squad of bots and sent them all into oblivion.

Tails and Sally jumped down from their coverage of the tree branches while Sonic screeched to a halt at their position shortly afterwards. Sally obviously distressed by what's going on but tried to remain calm as she questioned Sonic, "Sonic. Where is Anton? And what about Bunny and the rest? Did you manage to grab any one else on your way out?"

Sonic replied, "Just you and Tails. I didn't have time for the others. I told Bunny to run for it, I hope she made it."

"The children?"

"They were with Bunny and the others. They all left before we did, we were the last to leave."

Tails was still recovering from the blows he had received, before he was snatched off the floor by Sonic and raced out to where they were now; so he wasn't much for words. Sonic looked up at the sky before speaking again to Sally and Tails, "We better get out of here. Those machines are every where and don't seem hesitant to shoot and ask questions later."

Sally nodded and commented once more before they continued fleeing through the forest, "That mysterious black fox we saw is behind all this. I have a feeling some thing bigger is going on and we better stop him before it's too late!"

Tails simply whimpered, "Sarah." Before collapsing once again.

Sally looked back at Tails and signalled Sonic to hold up, "Poor Tails. Must be hard having his twin sister snatched by some weirdo suddenly after just finding her."

Sonic sighed, "Might as well carry the little guy again. They'll catch up to us if we keep stalling like this."

"Running away will do no good if we can't stop what ever fired upon us from space."

"Sal, the Tornado was destroyed along with the rest of the Knothole. Not that it could even reach space any way. So how are we supposed to get up there?"

Sally suddenly realised some thing that Sonic had previously mentioned last week, "Sonic. Remember how you said you saw a strange structure over the sea some days ago?"

"Yeah. How could I forget? It sunk into the water moments later. But why does that matter now?"

"Since we destroyed Robotropolis. I think our ticket to space is held in that structure."

"How can we get there if it's below the surface of the sea?!"

"Afraid of getting a little wet, Sonic?"

Onboard the orbital ship, two specially marked bots escorted Sarah to a shuttle in the hanger bay. Already seated in the cockpit of the shuttle was the black fox. Swivelling on his chair to face the vixen as she stepped inside the shuttle. Sarah confused on what's going on, immediately inquired, "What's going on? Where are you taking me?"

The black fox hand gestured her to sit down as the escort bots stood like statues beside her, "We're going for a little ride. And you're going to help me find the two remaining Chaos Emeralds."

"What makes you think I'll help you after what you have done?!"

"You have no choice."

Swivelling back to face the front of the shuttle, the black fox typed in a command onto the dashboard controls and soon the shuttle's hatch sealed up with a hiss, while the hanger doors of the orbital ship parted simultaneously.

Arriving at the eastern coastline, the Knothole trio finally decided to rest by the seaside. Then Sonic and Sally began to plan their next move on how to reach the underwater structure. Tails on the other hand, was beginning to recover from his trauma as he lay to rest on a near by patch of grass while the afternoon sun warmed his fur to a comfortable temperature. Falling asleep as night fell.

Sonic and Sally were both arguing with each other about how to get to that underwater structure by the time Tails lazily opened his eyes once again. The first thing Tails noticed, is that it was dusk. He then blinked twice and sat up in surprise before he called out, "Sonic! Sally! Come quickly!"

Looking over the seaside horizon, a bright light flared as it descended towards to watery surface. The arguing couple finally moved over to see what was up with Tails before looking at what he was pointing towards. Tails excitedly exclaimed, "Do you guys see that?!"

"What it is, Tails?" Asked Sally.

"Probably just another meteor." Commented Sonic smugly before he noticed some thing began to rise from the watery horizon and came to life with artificial light, "Wha? About time that thing resurfaced."

Sally inquired, "That's the structure you saw?"

Sonic replied hesitantly, "Yeah. It looks like some sort of base, but we still don't know how to get there."

"At least we won't be travelling under water. That'll keep you happy Sonic."

At that very moment, a spout of water shot up in front of the trio, spraying across them all. "Hey! Isn't that an orca?" Pointed out Tails as he ran towards it.

Sally immediately thought of an idea while following after Tails, "Maybe we can get him to help us reach that base."

"It's a her." Added Sonic as the killer whale splashed around and turned outside down in the water.

"How do you know that?" Sally paused, "Oh my gosh! You looked didn't you?!"

"Hey, what can I say?"

The metallic shuttle descended towards the planet's surface, burning up as it passed through various atmospheric layers and causing the outer hull to glow a reddish-yellow. The passengers onboard the shuttle endured a little bit of turbulence, but it was bearable until it smoothed out as they approached the water below. The black fox seemed to be a natural pilot and showed an in-depth knowledge about the craft that belonged to the former Robotnik Empire. Over the radio, the black fox gave a command, "Alpha lab docking operator. Open the hanger doors upon my arrival."

A cold, computerised voice was audible through out the shuttle's internal speakers, "Welcome commander. Preparations for your arrival are in progress. Hanger doors are released and docking platform is raised."

The Knothole trio were managed to convince the killer whale to give them a ride. All three held on as tight as they could onto the dorsal fin as the killer whale rode through the opposing waves. The swelling of the water blotted out most noise and Sonic had to yell out at the top of his lungs to be heard, "WE'RE ALMOST THERE!"

Sally noticed the would-be meteorite changed direction and disappeared into the fully lit structure, "THAT THING WE SAW IN THE SKY JUST LANDED AT THE BASE!"

"IT MUST HAVE BEEN A SPACE SHIP!" Yelled out Tails.

"THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED!"

Stepping off the ramp, the black fox was followed by his two personal bots with Sarah under their guard. It was a five-minute walk down a long corridor before the group entered into a large room, filled with blinking lights and various gadgets. The black fox turned to face the vixen, with a forced smile and arms held out before announcing, "Welcome to my... Home." He then turned back around and moved to the centre of the room.

Sarah still confused about why she was needed, constantly questioned her captor, "Why are we here? What is this place? What are you going to do?"

"So many questions. So little time." Commented the black fox while placing the five Chaos Emeralds he had obtained previously into a console in the centre of the room, "But I'm in a good mood to feed your curiosity. This place is where the first ever roboticizer was built."

Sarah gasped, as she is well aware of what the roboticizer was capable of, "You're going to roboticize me aren't you?"

"No. That thing hasn't been used in quite a while."

"Then why are we here?"

"This base. Is a the original testing lab for many of the dark devices Robotnik had at his disposal." He then hand gestured towards a device down a far hallway to the left of him, "For example, the first portal made to the void. That is why I am here. That is why I need the Chaos Emeralds."

"Huh? I still don't get it."

"With the power of the Chaos Emeralds. I will be able to create a portal big enough to suck this entire planet into the void."

"But why?!"

"So abdominal devices such as the roboticizer will never be built again. So every one can live their pointless lives in the Void and endure the suffering I have."

Tails, Sonic and Sally were scaling the side of the sea base as their killer whale friend submerged beneath the darkened waters. It took all three of them several minutes to reach an air vent half way up the structure's west side. Sonic managed to remove the grate that shielded the entrance from intruders with a quick spin bash. Crawling through the tubes for what seemed like hours, they all finally popped open a duct inside one of the halls ways and jumped down to be faced with a T-intersection. Three ways to go, three team members, it seemed like the most logical choice even though Sally would have been against it under normal circumstances, "Here, you two take these communicators. We better split up and cover as much group as possible. Sonic, you go straight ahead. Tails, take the left hallway. I'll go to the right. Once we find the space ship we need. I'm going to set charges to sink this base. Get out as soon as you can when I give the signal."

They all agreed and dashed away in their separate directions. Not knowing whom. Or what. They would find.

Tails ran down his hallway before being faced with a maze of corridors, doors and more rooms. Deciding to just keep going along the main hallway, two patrolling robots walked by just as he ducked what seemed to be a lab-testing room; filled with lights, gadgets and metallic sheen. As soon as the robots were out of sight, he continued down the hallway and passing many more of these rooms that looked identical to the first. He was beginning to wonder what this place was, before an obscene ear-piercing noise squealed through out the entire hallway. A cold computerised voice spoke from no direction in particular and gave Tails a cold sensation of dread, "Intruder alert! Intruder alert! Intruder alert!"

The black fox was observing Sarah while he continued interrogating her, "So now that I have answered your questions. Answer mine. Where is the next Chaos Emerald?"

"I don't know."

"I know you can sense one nearby. I have no time for games. Tell me!"

"No!"

"Tell me where they are!"

"No! Even if I knew, I would never tell a creep like you!"

"So be it." Spoke the black fox with a look of dark hatred in his eyes.

Moving over to the console that contained five Chaos Emeralds, the black fox turned to growl and slammed his fist on the button surrounded by the gems. Instantly the portal to the void exploded open in the distant hallway that jutted out from the centre room and the air hissed and wailed as it sucked in the surrounding area. Yelling out to the vixen, "I'LL SEND YOU THROUGH TO THE VOID NOW IF YOU DON'T TELL ME!"

"GO TO HELL!"

The black fox's temper flared as he went to grab Sarah and tossed her towards the void's portal. Sarah screamed as the Void drew her closer into its grasp. She was only a hair away from being sucked into the void before it had shut down suddenly and the words, "Intruder alert! Intruder alert! Intruder alert!" Could be heard from a distant computerised voice.

The black fox asked himself, "What is going on?" Before pausing to point his finger at the vixen lying helpless on the floor, "Saved by the alarm it seems, but don't worry. I'm not done with you yet!"

A screen appeared and showed footage of Tails running through a restricted lab corridor. Sarah managed to look up upon the screen and yelled out with joy, "Tails!"

The black fox eyed the screen closely before speaking to him self, "Well, well, well? Looks like he is tougher than I remember. Maybe this time I'll have to watch him die." Then the black fox paused in deep thought before moving over to a lone computer console, "Computer."

The console replied in the familiar cold voice, "Awaiting your command, Commander T-A-1-7-5."

"Lock down the area. Activate all T-A-1-7-5 mark twos. Kill that intruding fox. Kill him now!"

"As you command."

Tails twirled his tails to propel himself forward and left his feet to drag slightly off the ground as he sped towards two doors coming to a close, just up ahead. The edges of the two doors scrapped against Tails' fur as he barely shot through and the doors sealed with a hiss. He then immediately attempted to slow his speed but ended up slamming into the next pair of doors as they had already closed on him. Standing on his head, his tails ended up flopping over his face as he slumped upside-down against the door.

"Ow. Stupid door." Tails groaned to himself, "Now how am I going to get through?"

Noises came from the ceiling and two clunking sounded as if two heavy objects were dropped onto the ground. Tails rolled and spun to stand up right and be alert of his surroundings. He almost fell backwards once he saw what stood before him, "Huh?"

Two silvery-metallic looking robots faced him with eyes glowing an eerie red. But the thing that shocked Tails the most, was that these robots looked like him, only silver. He yelled out in confusion and anger, "What the! Who are you?!"

The only reply Tails received was the two machines raising their right arms and moving towards him. One of them fired an explosive red-laser beam at Tails just as he jumped out of the way to leave the fatal explosion behind him. Rebounding off a wall and dashing towards the nearest copy, he spun around and put all of his weight upon his two tails to knock the impostor to the other side of the corridor.

The second impostor didn't hesitate and charged towards the flesh two-tailed fox. Tails did the same until he realised what the machine was doing. Raising it's left arm, razor-sharp blade like claws sprung out from the machine's fingers and instantly went to swipe across Tails' stomach region. Tails jumped back as the blades narrowly miss him and the tips brushed against his fur. He dropped onto his back and laid still as the impostor's rotating tails were spinning at high speeds and then the metallic tails cleanly cut off Tails' styled fringe as it passed over him.

Tails rolled back onto his feet, turned to face the machine who passed over him before feeling his fringe, looked at the bits of fur on the floor and furiously yelled out at his impostor, "That's it! I've had enough of you!"

Tails propelled himself towards the machine and curled into a spinning ball. Impacting upon the robot's head, Tails had split it in two before he landed on the other side of it. The machine didn't flinch, all it did was turn around to face Tails and fire it's laser cannon.

The corridor filled with smoke and explosions. The Tails look-a-like machine was searching the area that was now obscured by smoke and was unable to locate Tails. Then a white-gloved fist forced the robot to it's back. Tails then pulled with all his strength to rip off the robotic arm with the sharp claws from the machine and used it to sever the rest of the robotic limps; rendering the machine disabled.

By the time the smoke cleared, the first machine regained consciousness and stood up. Tails obliviously knew the machine was back in action as they weren't much for stealth as they clanked around while walking. Holding the robotic arm with the claws still, Tails watched as the distant machine powered up its rotating bladed-tails and propelled itself to rush towards him. Tails simply threw the robotic claw arm towards the approaching machine and it impaled the machine from head to foot before exploding mid-way in the corridor.

Tails had to shield his face with his paws as bits of hot, flying metal were projected from the blast. With a satisfied grunt, he went over to the disabled machine lying at the floor before looking towards the closed door that he needed to get pass. Mumbling to himself, "I wonder how I am suppose to get through that door?" Before he paused to notice the cannon attached to the severed robotic arm, lying on the floor.

Pacing back and forth in front of the view screen of the battle between Tails and the TA175 mark twos, the black fox never took his eyes off for a second. Suddenly the view screen was filled with smoke and was followed by static a moment later. The black fox growled, "Why is the camera offline?!"

"Power has been cut from the primary generators. Emergency power is operation and does not support surveillance." Replied the cold and toneless voice.

The black fox threw up his hands, growled uncontrollably and smashed his fists upon the computer console. He then turned towards Sarah, whom was now standing up and watching in fear for her brother, "They're alive as well. This is a standard trademark of Sonic and Sally's infiltration method. There is little time left and I have the patience to match. Tell me where the Chaos Emeralds are. Or else I'll kill you myself!"

Sarah began to run from the approaching black fox as she evaded the guarding robots and pulled on the nearest door. The door was locked so she went to the next, but it also was sealed. The black fox laughed and shook his head, "Foolish vixen. There is no escape for you. It is pointless in trying. Your friends won't save you either, because this room is inpenetr-"

At that moment, an explosion occurred and threw the two guarding robots against the wall. A hole was created around the main entrance to the enormous room of where a door used to reside. Stepping through the newly created hole was Tails, holding onto a robotic laser cannon arm as he stepped through.

"It took me six robotic clones, four automated turrets and three heavily-armoured doors to prevent me from getting to where I am now. Thanks for providing me with this brilliant tool." Laughed Tails before looking at his new toy with a smirk.

The black fox simply growled more and thrashed about in anger before focusing his attention on Sarah. He pulled out a laser pistol before advancing towards the vixen, gun pointed while shouting at Tails, "Too late. She will now die!"

Tails didn't give a second thought, the only one he truly loved was in danger and he had to act quickly. Carefully, he aimed the robotic cannon at the black fox and connected two wires to spark the mechanism's trigger. A blast came from the tip of the robotic cannon, which recoiled Tails to the floor as the well aimed laser bolt made a direct impact upon the left arm of the black fox. The dark fox was engulfed in a fiery explosion before being propelled into a support pillar, causing it to topple over and bury him in debris and rubble.

Tails got off the ground and tossed the make shift weapon aside before making his way over to Sarah. Embracing her in a hug as soon as he got close to her. She was still shaking because of her frightening ordeal but soon calmed down after a few seconds in the arms of her twin brother. With a relieved expression, Tails finally managed to say some thing, "I'm so glad you're alright."

"I thought you were dead." Cried out Sarah as she sobbed on Tails' shoulder.

"I'm here now Sarah. It's going to be alright from now on."

"It was horrible."

Tails attempted to try his best to calm her down, but with the situation they were currently in, the danger wasn't over yet, "We better leave this place before some thing else happens."

Holding Sarah's arm around his neck, they turned around to face the entrance of where Tails had blasted his way through. Only to be faced with four metallic images of Tails blocking their only way out. At the same time, Sally chimed over Tails' communicator, "Tails. Have you found Sarah yet? All the charges are laid and." Sally paused for a few seconds, "Wait, some thing is happening. They are attempting to disarm the-"

A muffled explosion rumbled through the facility walls and shook the very floor Tails and Sarah stood. All that could be heard of Tails' communicator was static after the explosion occurred. Hoping Sally was all right wasn't the only thing on his mind as the four impostors approached him and Sarah with cannons raised. Sarah gripped on to Tails before whispering, "Tails. I'm scared."

There wasn't much Tails could do as the firing squad line of machines charged their weapons and fired. Tails forced Sarah to the ground and covered her, cringing for the worst. A loud explosion blared out any other noise and bits of debris from the ceiling fell on top of the two as they cowered upon the floor. It took them a few seconds to look up to see if they were still alive. They were both surprised to see all four of the metallic look-a-likes were totally destroyed and Sonic standing in front of them with a big grin.

Sonic couldn't wait to make a smug comment, "Thought you two might of needed my help. The door was open, so I guess no invitation was needed. Those were some ugly fans of yours Tails."

"Yeah, you just came in the nick of time Sonic!" Tails said before giving a sigh of relief.

"Thank you Sonic." Added Sarah.

Tails inquired with a worried tone, "Sonic, what happened to Sally? She broke off connection just after that explosion occurred."

"She's safely waiting for us at the space shuttle. The explosion only jammed up our communicators temporarily. Those bomb detection robots seem to be malfunctioning and setting off our charges too early. They're bringing down this base before we even had a chance to detonate. This place could explode at any minute, so we gotta juice!"

Sarah panicked and yelled out, "No wait! The Chaos Emeralds!" Going over to gather them into a bag.

"C'mon. We have no time!"

Just as Sonic grabbed the pair of foxes and raced towards the entrance, a second major explosion occurred and seemed to be closer this time. The shaking affected the structure so badly, the entrance to the enormous room collapsed and caved in. Sonic skidded to a halt and before he exclaimed in surprise, "Whoa!"

"Now what are we going to do?" Asked Tails, as if he was giving up hope on their survival.

"Let's see if Sal can get us out of this mess."

Sally chimed back in through the communicator a moment later, "Sonic. Tails. Is every thing all right?"

"Sal. We're stuck in the main control room. Can you use Nicole to find us a way out?"

"Scanning the area. Sonic. It seems there is a secret elevator that goes below surface. It leads to an air lock and decompression room. That maybe your only way out."

"You mean. We have to travel underwater?!"

"Sonic. Now's not the time to be afraid."

"Hey! Who said I'm afraid?"

The three moved over to a wall covering by a wide, view screen. Sonic and Tails were dumb founded on how to remove it to gain access to the secret elevator they needed, while Sarah simply moved over to a control panel to press a button. The view screen slowly crawled to the ceiling and revealed two elevator doors. Sarah smiled as she spoke to the two dumb founded males, "Observing the enemy while being their prisoner has its advantages." And then gave a quick wink towards Tails.

Tails glanced at the two elevators and asked out aloud, "Which one should we take?"

"Door number one is always the best choice." Said Sonic as he stood tapping his foot, waiting for the elevator after pressing the button multiple times.

The elevator door opened and all three hurried inside. Tails was the next to press a button and excitedly added one last comment, "Going down! Next stop: Underwater!"

Sonic gulped as the elevator shutters closed.

After the destruction the Freedom Fighters and the machines left behind: It was deathly silent in the control room. The silence was soon broken as a black-furred hand broke through the top of the mountain of rubble. Chucks of debris were thrown in every direction and a shadowy figure waved about in the hazy dust. It hovered over the console of where the Chaos Emeralds were not any more, before the shadowy figure turned to look towards the elevators.

The elevator shutters parted and the trio stepped out. They were in awe as the room they stepped into was well lit, huge, and circular. It had a transparent dome above and their killer whale friend swam just over the dome at that very moment, as they could view the sea from below. In the middle of the room was a hole in circular shape, which seemed pointless as you could walk around it. Finally the door on the other side of the room matched the description of the air lock they were looking for.

Just as they all move towards the exit. Sonic, Tails and Sarah froze in their tracks as they heard the second elevator chime and the shutters parting. Turning around to see the nightmare of all nightmares. Standing in the elevator, a red light bobbed around in the elevator's darkness, before the figure emerged into the light. It was the black fox, or what was left of him. His fur was chard and scratched. He was missing an arm and a chunk of his torso. Half his face was melted off and revealed it was metal underneath and his red, electronic eye scanned the area.

"You're. You're a machine." Stuttered Tails while Sarah's jaw dropped.

The black fox cackled evilly, "Surprised?"

"Who are you?!"

"I am the first FAILED roboticizer attempt."

"I mean, what is your name?!"

"Really Tails. You really don't know WHO I am?"

"Are you going to tell me your name or not?!"

"You were always a clueless idiot. Isn't it obvious?"

"Well, will you at least tell me?"

"My name is Tails."

"WHAT?!"

"No way!" Sonic yelled out in disbelief.

"I am YOUR future, Tails!" The black fox announced.

Tails shook his head and angrily replied, "How can that be?! You're lying!"

"As I said. You were always a clueless idiot. Ever heard of time travel?"

"That's NOT possible!"

"Me and Sal did find a time stone once, Tails." Added Sonic.

Evil Tails laugh at how clueless they were, "I used no stupid time stone. But I guess you will probably never know the full story, because you will now pay with your lives. As you all have contributed to my suffering long enough!"

Confused about all this, Tails scoffed, "Your suffering? Wait. If what you say is true. Then if I die, so do you."

"That's the plan."

"But." Tails fell silent, as he was shocked and confused about this whole situation. Thinking to himself: was he destined to be evil in the future? That was, if he had a future to look forward to.

Sarah looked over to Tails, "He's only trying to confuse you, Tails. Don't believe him, it's a trick!" Then she turned towards Evil Tails, "I won't allow you to harm anyone any more! No matter who you are! No matter what you think we've done!" Yelled out Sarah.

"Yeah. Bring it on freak!" Sonic attempting to pick a personal fight as well.

Evil Tails snarled at the 'freak' comment but then calmly spoke while entering a code into a wall panel, "Enough. It's time for all of you to pay the price. Allow me to introduce you to my little. Pet."

A constant clunking and revving sound were audible as a platform filled the hole in the centre of the room. Resting on the platform was a giant, blue lizard like creature. The creature roared with anger and lashed about as it awakened from its lengthy slumber. Looking towards the nearest victim, it darted its gapping wide mouth towards Sonic. Sonic quickly dodged out of the way and the lizard ended up smashing its head against the wall.

The lizard thrashed about momentarily before focusing its attention on an easier target: Sarah. Its head leapt towards her. Tails saw what the creature was trying to do and dashed over to his twin sister. He quickly held himself around her with his back to the creature and attempted to shield her from the lizard's advance. But it was a futile attempt. The lizard closed its hungry maw around the mid-section of the two foxes and snatched them both up.

Immediately after the lizard had a tight grip over the two, it swung it's head sky-wards and swallowed. The legs and tails of the fox siblings that hung loosely outside the mouth of the creature soon disappeared into its maw and sealed after a final swallow. Sonic was very distressed about this and yelled out in a panic, "Tails! Sarah! Don't worry! I'll get you out! Some how."

Evil Tails stood behind the creature and laughed psychotically at Sonic's bravery, "This creature is the spawn of the void's darkest parts. You cannot stop it!"

"You mean. It came from the forbidden zone?!"

"Yes. Yes. What ever you wish to call it. Just know it will be the last thing you and your pitiful friends will EVER see."

"Not if I can help it!"

A lump formed in the lizard's throat as the bodies inside slowly slid down the long neck of the creature. The lump stalled and wriggled for a few seconds as a sign of struggle, but the pull of the neck muscles were too strong and soon the lump disappeared into the creature's body. The two foxes were deposited into a chamber that preceded the stomach organ of the creature and they were covered in saliva like fluids as they flopped against the spongy insides. Sarah traumatised by being swallowed by a giant lizard, asked Tails in despair, "Tails, are we going to die?"

Tails refused to give up and attempted to give some hope to his sister, "I'll see if I can get us out of here."

Tails repeatedly pressed and pounded against the opening that deposited them into this nightmare, but the muscles of the beast were too strong and refused to budge. After several minutes, Tails became exhausted and gave up. Falling back against the spongy insides, he let out a sigh and weakly said, "Maybe Sonic can help get us out."

Dodging back and forth. Rolling to the side and leaping out of the way of the striking mouth of the beast, Sonic was barely avoiding being eaten himself by the creature. Attacking the creature's skin only rebounded Sonic backwards like a rubber band and the lizard's head constantly jumped towards Sonic, striking with cobra like speed. Evil Tails had a sick sense of enjoyment out of the struggles Sonic had against his powerful pet and creepily laughed in the background.

Inside the chamber of the beast, the two foxes huddled together before noticing the walls began to close on them. Sarah was just about to say some thing when the contracting muscles of the chamber pulled her away from Tails and pushed her towards a second opening that led deeper inside the creature. Sarah screamed out, "Tails! Help!"

Tails reached over to grab her arms and pulled her back towards him, straining on keeping her from slipping away. But the pull of the beast was too strong and already had her half way through the opening. It was a tug of war and Tails was losing.

Sonic grew tired after five minutes of evading the lizard in such close quarters. A tail swing from the creature caught Sonic off guard and knocked him to the ground. The lizard then clamped its mouth over Sonic's legs and began creeping its maw slowly over him. Sonic clutched onto a railing in an attempt to pull away from the creature. But it looked like it was all over for the three of them and a satisfied look was visible upon Evil Tails' cold and disfigured face.

Another muffled explosion rumbled. Looking up through the transparent dome showed the entire sea base was crumbling from above due to multiple detonations and began falling into the sea. The elevators tubes connecting to the dome to the main structure were snapped in two as sea base tilted on an angle. Shards of the structure soon fell towards the dome at an incredible velocity.

A pointed piece of metal smashed its way through the dome and impaled the giant lizard. The beast howled in pain before collapsing from the serious injury. Evil Tails managed to look up just in time to see another large chuck of rubble smash through what was left of the transparent dome and landing directly on him; pinning him to the floor.

Water began pouring in after the dome had been breached. Sonic had managed to free himself from the unconscious lizard's grasp but then panicked on how to free Tails and Sarah. Stepping closer to the creature, Sonic jumped backwards in fright when a mucus-covered fox popped out from the beast.

Sarah grabbed Tails' arm with both of hers to pull him out through where the beast's flesh had been sliced by the falling shard. The mucus covering the two foxes were washed off shortly after as water continued gushing into the room. Both the foxes looked towards Sonic as if to question what is happening. Sonic didn't have time to make a smart remark and promptly said, "Guys, we gotta get out of here! Hang on!"

With that, Sonic snatched them both and raced over to the air lock. The rising water made it difficult to open and close the hatch to the decompression room, but the three managed to seal the hatch together. Tails glanced outside the hatch window and alerted them all, "This facility is going to collapse right on top of us at any moment!"

Sonic wasn't really looking forward to being surrounded by water, "What now? We'll drown if we go outside."

Sarah accidentally opened up a compartment in the tiny room, "Hey you two. There are air tanks inside here."

"You mean oxygen tanks?" Tails inquired.

"Yes. There's plenty here. More than enough for us."

The decompression chamber hissed, water flowed in and three alien looking creatures danced around in the room. Sonic, Tails and Sarah pushed out into the open sea as the doors parted to expose it to them. The killer whale that was waiting outside swam pass them in a friendly and curious manner. Sarah tapped Tails on the shoulder before he spun around to face what she was indicating to him, Tails exhaled air bubbles as he saw that half the sea base had crumbled off it's supports and descending towards them.

A fair distance away, three aqua-bots drifted through the sea to scout out why they lost communication with the sea base. Once they got close enough to get a visual, they saw the entire base tilting over and collapsing onto the aqua observatory down below and crushing every thing around it. Sand exploded in all directions to cause the machines to be blinded. Just as the sand settled, a large shadow quickly appeared and knocked the machines aside as it swam through with such speed and force.

Sonic, Tails and Sarah held onto the killer whale's fins for dear life as it swam towards safety. It wasn't long before they all surfaced into the morning sunshine. The sun was partially obscured by smoke as the sea base continued to burn while it submerged beneath the sea. All that could be heard was the calm slapping of water against the killer whale and the distant sea gulls squawking away.

Tails took off his oxygen tank and mask, sighing before speaking, "Is every one is okay?"

"That was close. Lucky we had ole orca girl here." Sonic said while patting the back of the killer whale.

Sarah reached over to Tails to wrap her arms around him and whisper in his ear, "I'm fine. Thanks for coming and rescuing me, Tails."

"Ya know what's funny. We didn't even know you were there until I barged into the control room."

Sarah gave a chuckle at Tails' honesty before replying, "Means your heart led you to me."

"My heart? All that does is pump blood."

"Silly Tails. I mean like your fate, your destiny."

"Huh?"

"You never heard of such things?"

"Nope."

"I must tell you about it."

Sonic took no notice of the two siblings once some thing caught his eye. Balancing his footing before standing with arms crossed, Sonic then peered into the distance. It wasn't long until he could make out what was heading towards them and yelled out to Tails and Sarah, "Hey guys! Look!"

Turning around, both Tails and Sarah verbally noted who it was, a few seconds after squinting towards the horizon, "Sally!"

"Sonic, are you there?" Chimed Sally over Sonic's damaged communicator, "I'm in a spot of trouble."

The space shuttle Sally was piloting rushed overhead while venturing close to the water's surface. Every one on the back of the killer whale turned their heads to watch Sally fly off into the distance. It was unexpected when two dark gliders passed over their heads at that point in time and had firing their lasers in the direction of the space shuttle.

"I can't lose them!" Sally sounding desperate over the communicator.

Sonic promptly replied, "Hang on Sal. Just turn yourself around and come back our way. And don't forget to fly low."

It was a few minutes before Sally turned the space shuttle around and descended even closer to the surface of the water. The roar the shuttle made as made another pass was ear shattering; Tails and Sarah had to cover their ears. The two bot gliders soon followed and that was Sonic's cue.

The first bot glider was about to make a pass. Sonic jumped as high as he could and spin slashed in the air. The bot glider's right wing was torn in two and the entire thing exploded a moment later. Sonic had rebounded skywards off the first glider just before it exploded and hitched a ride on the wing of the second one.

The killer whale was a little spooked and shook Tails and Sarah around a bit before Tails was thrown into the water. Sarah leaned over to the side of where he had fell in by the time the killer whale calmed down. A hand reached out of the water and Sarah immediately grabbed and pulled it towards her. Attached to the hand surfaced a metallic head with eyes pulsating a red glow. Screaming, she let go of the hand and kicked the machine back into the water.

In a worried tone, Sarah began searching for the real Tails. She was wondering where underwater he could be and called out, "Tails Tails?! Where are you?!"

A submerged explosion sprayed water into the air and Tails surfaced right next to it. Swimming over to where Sarah and the orca rested, "Sarah!" he yelled out between swimming strokes, "There's a whole bunch of bots below us!"

A bunch of round heads surfaced behind Tails and began firing their lasers through the water. There were no ordinary SWAT bots, as they were specially designed for water assault and had their weapons adjusted to submarine combat.

Sarah ducked behind the killer whale's dorsal fin as the robots turned on her. A few laser bolts struck the killer whale but only resulted seriously irritated her. Sarah grabbed all their oxygen tanks and jumped into the water as the furious orca took her anger out by diving into the water and wiping out a group of the machines with a single tail slap.

More of the aqua-bots began to drift towards Tails and Sarah. The two fox siblings decided it was best to drive back into the water and follow the killer whale. Fumbling about with their re-breather masks underwater and swimming after the killer whale while being shot it by a dozen robots wasn't an easy task for them. Yet some how they managed to pull it off and catch up to their large friend. They seemed to be evading the aqua-bots, but as if they didn't have enough problems already, sharks in the area circled nearby and seemed to take an interest in the easy snacks trailing behind the killer whale.

Tails held Sarah's hand as they scaled under the swimming orca. Having a thought, Tails placed his paw inside the slit of the large mammal and pressed on inside. Sarah caught on what Tails was up to and followed him through the entrance of the killer whale's vagina. The Prower twins ended up being squashed up against each other once inside the tight vaginal tunnel. Reaching the cervix of the large mammal, they were unable to push on any further for the moment. Until by accident, the tails of the twin siblings wagged and flicked over the clitoris of the orca, which trigged off a mild orgasm that crushed the breath out of the two foxes until the vaginal muscle spasms forced both of them into the spacious womb.

The Prower twins collapsed on each other inside the womb, gasping and sucking their oxygen tubes for air. It wasn't long before their breathing returned to normal after that crushing squeeze. Tails became calm after a few minutes being immobile before reaching over to collect the spare oxygen tank still in Sarah's grasp. Placing the spare oxygen tank in the middle of them, Tails slowly released the pressure on the tank so it would leak breathable air inside the large mammal's womb.

Tails and Sarah both took off their breathing masks at the same time once they thought it was safe and placed them and the oxygen tasks aside into a small pile. Sarah was the first to say some thing, "Well. That was. Interesting."

"It was either in here or in the some other creature's belly again." Tails remarked.

"Think I'll stick to here. Even though getting here wasn't very pleasant. What a day it's been."

"At least in this part it is safe. I think it's pretty cool too. Not many get to examine close-up the inside of the whale's... what's it called, um."

"Womb, Tails."

"Yeah. That's it."

"Guess we'll be here a while."

"I don't think it's safe to go outside right now."

"Will Sally and Sonic will be all right?"

"Of course they will be. Sonic has it covered. He never lets us down."

"What about that android? He kept going on about his suffering and said he wanted to suck the entire world into the void."

"All I know is, he said that he was the future of me. You heard him say it yourself. Yet I'm still so really confused about all this. I can't help think, is that my future? I am going to be an evil robot in the future?"

"I don't believe so. You could never be bad. Your heart is pure Tails."

Tails blushed at the compliment, "Thanks. Though, it is probably because of you. Since I could have no better sister, and no better mate."

"You're just being nice and saying that."

"You know it's true Sarah."

Shifting closer, Sarah cuddled Tails before softly replying, "I just hope no problems are caused by us being together."

"There won't be. Hopefully it's the last we see of that android, we can rebuild Knothole and I can then prove to you that every thing is going to be okay."

After Sarah's exhausting and traumatic day, for the first time she felt really at ease and soothed due to Tails' reassurance, "Thank you." She simply said before closing her eyes and snuggling against him.

It was peacefully in the womb of the killer whale, apart from the hissing of the oxygen being released and the humming and pumping of the large mammal's bodily functions. Tails was stroking his twin sibling's ears while she rested in his lap, then a thought popped into his head, "Sarah."

Sarah sat up to look to face him, "Hmm?"

"Don't you find it ironic that we're in a womb together once again?"

"This time we're grown up though Tails." Sarah gave a slight giggle at the end.

"At least we can remember this time."

"How about we turn this into a happy memory?" Sarah smiled before she placed her paws on Tails' muzzle to silence him, as he was about to speak, "I still have yet to properly thank you for saving my life for the second time. You're my brother, hero and lover, Tails. You will always be my love."

"And I always love you Sarah. I want to be with you with you all I can."

Sarah closed her eyes as she went for a sweet kiss against his muzzle, "Then be with me now, Tails."

Tails reacted by connected their muzzles together and enjoyed the pleasure of each other's tongue.

Sarah slid off her cloth belt before gently pushing her weight upon Tails, hinting for him to slump against the curved walls of the womb. After a few seconds, he realised what she wanted and cooperated accordingly. Sarah hovered over Tails as she knelt with her legs either side of him. With his slightly apart, she placed a paw upon the groin area of her sibling lover and began to stroke as gently as possible. Slowly but surely, Tails' shaft grew and stiffened until it finally became erected.

Positioning herself, Sarah knelt upright over Tails' shaft before she lowered her body until her vagina was balanced on the tip of his shaft. Tails placed his paws firmly on his twin sibling's hips before unexpectedly bucking his hips upward and forcing her body down upon his shaft. Sarah gave out a gasp, followed by her squirming beneath him as he slid all the way inside of her and bumped against her cervix once again. Tails then slid out and began his steady piston motion inside of her. Their tails were now flicking about wildly as they continued on with their lovemaking.

Meanwhile, deep under the ruins of the collapsed sea base, in the destroyed ocean observatory and buried under tons of rubble. The giant lizard lays a motionless corpse in the abnormally calm water. The water-covered structure was in complete silence until another support pillar crumbled from above and rained down debris in a snow-like fashion. A red glimmer sparked against mountains of rubble as it tumbled down until it reached the bottom of the dome observatory. None other than a red Chaos Emerald came to a stand still right behind of the giant lizard, next to a slab of twisted metal. It was a split second after the Chaos Emerald became idle, that a metallic paw slammed its grasp over the gem.
