"You knew my father?" Cedric watched as Aiden's ears went from down, to up, to down again. He could see on that Aiden was uncomfortable with the situation, for a moment Cedric thought that he might try to talk his way out of it. Cedric could definitely tell Aiden wanted to leave, but they both knew that Aiden wouldn't be able to until he gave an explanation. Taking a deep breath Aiden began to tell Cedric about his father.

"He was a great man, and an even greater leader. Some would say the best in our history. He almost never lost a battle; the vampires couldn't stand before him. His element was earth, and he was very efficient at using it." Aiden paused and steeled himself. "That all changed when the traitorous bitch that was his sister killed him." Cedric flinched not from the new information but from the poisonous tone Aiden had used. Even though he had only known him for a short time Cedric had grown to think of Aiden than more than just an adviser. Aiden looked like he was stealing himself again. "Your father was in the throne room when his sister asked to meet with him. As always he granted her access. Then she used her element of light and killed him. After that she fled, there has been no sighting of her since, well until yesterday a guard patrol reported seeing her a few miles into the forest just outside the opening to the pathway."

Cedric was stunned not just from the fact that his father had been murdered but from his Aunt as well. Than to make things worse his Aunt was now running around the perimeter of the territory. Why was she even back? Did she know that he was alpha and wanted to kill him as well?

Aiden had told him that the strongest of the six elements are darkness and light. Know he would have to deal with his Aunt who obviously had knowledge of her element that he couldn't even begin to understand. Cedric slowly worked himself into anger as his mind became blurred. "Cedric?" Aiden said, his voice showing a hint of caution, "are you ok?" Cedric quickly snapped out of it at his friend's question. Letting himself relax Cedric suddenly felt something cold slip in his right hand. Looking down Cedric saw a blade that appeared to resemble a katana. Just before it touched the ground the dust vanished leaving nothing were there was once something.

Slowly Cedric looked up to see Aiden staring at him with a shocked and confused look on his face. "W-what... was that?" Cedric asked his voice a little shaky. He smiled knowing that Aiden couldn't see it, sometimes he felt like Aiden was his only friend, and in truth he was.

Everyone just kept on seeing him as a king, as someone that is more important than them, but Aiden, Aiden from the first moment treated him as a normal wolf, like a friend. Aiden nodded then stepped forward and hugged Cedric. Before he could react the hug ended, and Cedric was left stunned. "Get some sleep... tomorrow you will start your element training." With that Aiden turned and walked to the door. "Cover your eyes Cedric." After a few seconds Aiden opened the door, and walked out. The door closing behind him, Cedric was still stunned from the hug so had never covered his eyes. The moment the door opened Cedric groaned and quickly covered his eyes. "Good you have fast reflexes, my name is Kilyne, and I will show you how to use enough of your element so you are not useless when Red picks back up your training." Cedric stared; he had been told that Red would be the one to train him to use his element. That Red was the only one with the necessary skills and knowledge. As he was about to voice his thoughts Kilyne spoke up again. "Red is the only one with the skills but he lacks the touch you will need to gain basic control, such as enough to leave the room without going blind."

Cedric froze, 'what can she read my mind know or something.' Kilyne just sighed and moved forward, seeming to have grown accustomed to the darkness.

"Get in a fighting position." Before he could even move Kilyne started throwing similar bits of metal to the ones she had been throwing earlier. Cedric quickly began dodging out of the way. Nearly getting hit by a few before She stopped the onslaught. "Stop dodging and use the darkness to block them!" Kilyne yelled, "Focus on the shadows around you and make them form a wall." With that she began to throw the metal disks again. As before Cedric began to dodge, the only difference is that he was trying what Kilyne had said. He could feel the darkness around him, he could also feel the energy surging trough the element.

Cedric reached out to the energy around him and felt it course through him. Focusing Cedric pushed his hand out, and imagine a shield appearing before him. As he watched, Cedric saw the darkness come from his palm and began to expand. The darkness grew larger than a shield though and formed a wall. Once the wall was formed Cedric felt the energy began to slowly fade. He heard a few twangs as what he assumed was the metal objects hitting the darkness. After only a few moments the energy left Cedric and the wall began to fall apart. Then disappeared in the same way as the sword.

When the dust had cleared Kilyne stood and nodded her approval toward Cedric. "Good know we just have to work on the amount of time you can sustain the darkness. Then you will be able to leave to the room without going blind." As she made a move to take something else out of her bag Cedric spoke up.

"I didn't want a wall to appear though. I was imagining a shield, but then a wall appeared." Kilyne stopped and starred at Cedric. She than shook her head.

"Do you actually think that you could control the darkness well enough to make exactly what you want appear? That takes time, for know you can only make the general idea of what you want. You needed a barrier, so you got a barrier. Red will help you with honing your abilities. Know let's get back to work."

Cedric then spent the next 4 hours learning the general ideas of his element. He was even able to leave his room know thanks to Kilyne.
