John Conan looked out onto the endlessness of the horizon as the navy ship moved steadily onward. The cool breeze from the sea and air ruffled the wolf's fur as he watched the sun set behind the orange water. The small picture he held between his fingers shuddered in the wind as he glanced down to see himself and a beautiful female feline holding each other in a pose with a small misshapen origami swan in the feline's hand. Two and a half years, he thought to himself. Two and a half years and I'll finally be able to see her again.
He subconsciously played with his wedding band around his left finger as he imagined himself holding and loving his wife once again. Those thoughts made his heart flitter in excitement, though you wouldn't have told by his blank expression. Just ten more days and I'll be home.
~*~
John sighed as he sat down at a vacant table with his plate of food. Besides the others eating and conversing, it was a pretty quiet evening, nothing to eventful happening, no arguments or complaints, almost boring if he thought about, but his mind was too occupied with the near future than to worry about much else.
"Hey Bigguy!" A smooth, teasing voice said as a lean fox with his own tray plopped himself across the table from John.
John cursed under his breath as he looked up into the sky blue eyes of the fox. "What do you want Mason?"
"A kiss would be nice." He said sarcastically before shoving a spoon full of potatoes into his muzzle. "You know," he muffled through his full mouth. "Whe shud beh gettin' som leffers togay." He swallowed. "Expecting anything from the wifey?"
John shook his head. Conversations with Mason were normally avoided if it could be helped, but because he was in a better mood than usual, he supposed he could put up with the fox for a few words. "No, we're only a few days away from home, I don't see why she'd write to me when I'm just going to see her soon enough... what about you? Have someone special waiting for you when you get back?"
"Nope," he said, almost proudly. "Haven't had anyone to call 'mine' in quite some time. Too clingy."
The wolf looked from his food and up to the orange furred fox. He just couldn't wrap his head around the other male; one day he's sexually harassing John, the next he's talking as if they've been best friends for years. John hadn't really connected with anyone else on the ship, and it felt as though no one really wanted to get to know him, except for Mason that is. The fox just seemed to have a genuine interest in him, when he wasn't irritating the wolf, of course.
"MAIL'S HERE!!"
Someone shouted and everyone looked up to a giraffe was waving a letter over his head. "You want it, go get it!"
Most of the group, including Mason, jumped to their feet and started for where the giraffe was standing. John, on the other hand, didn't budge. "Not coming?" Mason asked.
John shook his head. "No, I don't think I got anything."
The fox stayed a moment longer before shrugging and walking off.

John looked up at the ceiling from the top bunk of his bunk-bed. It had gotten quiet in his room ever since his roommate got reassigned to a different living quarters, but it was a nice quiet.
He plucked the picture of himself and his wife from his pocket and held it in front of his face. He couldn't even begin to count the times that he's brought this picture out just to look at it and think about the memories.
"Like this?" John asked, holding up a misshapen origami swan as he presented it to Serene.
The feline looked up from her own paper folding and laughed when she saw his. "Well I'm sorry if you find it comical, but I think it's pretty good!" John said, retracing his arms to hold the swan to his chest.
"No, no," the feline said when she had calmed down enough to speak. "It's good," she sniffed. "I love it."
She scooted over from her place on the floor to where the wolf was and took the swan from his hands and inspected it up close. The corners were crumpled, edges were ripped and it was unevenly folded, though somehow, it looked a thousand times better than the example did.
The feline looked up to John and smiled warmly before kissing his nose affectionately. She pulled out her phone and snuggled close to the wolf before aiming and snapping a picture.

Three knocks on John's door snapped him from his memory back to reality. "It's open," he said lazily, though soon regretted it as Mason popped his head through the door and smiled up at John. "Guuhhhhh... you again... what now?"
The fox closed the door behind him and put on hand on his hip while holding the other behind his back smugly. "Guess what I got!"
"No thanks," John sighed. "Just tell me." He looked back to his picture.
"Okay, so you know how earlier you said that you weren't goin' to go check the mail cause you didn't think you go anything...?" he cooed, drawing John's interest to make him sit up on the edge of his bed. "Well, I took the liberty of asking to see if you did in fact get any letters," Mason drew a letter from behind his back. "And it just so happens that you did!"
The wolf cocked his head and hopped down from his bed to stand in front of the shorter male. "Is it from-"
"The wilfey? Yeeeeepp!" He sang and handed the letter over.
John took the letter and opened it, reading the handwritten words dotted on the page.
Mason stood and watched as John's eyes darted from one side of the page to the other. After a few moments, his eyes started to slow down as they neared the end of the paper, then he stopped and just stared blankly at the piece of paper.
"... Well," Mason said, turning his head to try and draw the wolf's attention. "What's it say?"
John didn't reply, instead, he sat down on the edge of the bottom bunk and let the papers fall between his legs, still staring blankly.
Mason walked over and picked up the envelope and letter and began reading;
Dear John,
I know that you will be returning home now any day, and I've waited so long for that day to come, but as it turns out, I'm not as patient as I thought I'd be.
The fox looked from the letter to John for a moment before he continued to read silently.
I have moved on, to put it bluntly. I've met someone new, someone who is actually here for me to be with. I know that we have talked about starting a family when you get back, but I feel that I'm just not the one for you anymore, or you for me. I'm sorry that it had to come to this, but we are no longer us. The divorce has already been finalized. I wished to tell you in person, but I could just no longer wait or bear to see the look on your face.
It may be hard to believe, but I still love you, I really do, but this is the end. The house and everything in it is yours.
Goodbye, and have a nice life without me.
~Serene.
"What?!" Mason said, turning the page over to find it blank on the other side. "Is that it? That's bullshit! What the hell?!"
He looked over to John, who's face hasn't changed one bit, and neither has his gaze. He was twirling his wedding band on his left finger subconsciously before pulling it off with a bit of effort and tossing it across the room. It clanged against the mettle wall and dropped to the floor, rolling until it ran into Mason's feet.
The fox bent down and picked up the ring, looking at it for a moment before looking back up to the wolf. "So, what are you gonna do now?"
John shook his head again. "I-" he began with a clogged voice. He cleared his throat and blinked. "I don't know... She-... she was all I was looking forward to when I got back... now... now I have nothing to look forward to..."
Mason knelt down in between the wolf's legs, finally making eye contact with him. "I'll tell ya what'cher gonna do; you're gonna go back home and enjoy life a little. Drink, go out, fuck bitches, I don't really care, just go and have fun! And when you've had your fun, find someone new, someone who won't throw you out like yesterday's trash like this Serene bitch did, and love them like they've never seen love before!"
John looked away and sighed. "I-I don't-"
"Listen," Mason put a hand on the wolf's shoulder, cutting him off. "We might not be the tightest, hell we might not even be friends, but if I've learned anything about you over these last few years, it's that when you love someone, you never let go of them!" John was still quiet, so the fox continued. "You know, I've been tryin' to get into your pants ever sense I met you, knowing that you had a wife at home." This time, John turned his eyes to glare irritably at the fox. "And when I couldn't get you to so much as looked at me, I made bets with chicks to see how far they'd get."
"What's your point, Mason?" John mumbled, turning his head to the fox's.
"My point is; you can find love again. And this time you'll be there to make sure you do it right. This isn't the end of the world, it's a new beginning."
The wolf looked down, the weight of the circumstances and the conversation were getting heavy of his shoulders and mind, but he couldn't say that the fox was wrong. In fact, he might actually have a point.
He looked the fox in the eyes, and for the first time, actually saw him. His fur looked soft and plush, the orange, white and chocolate colors looked like silk. His eyes though, that's what John couldn't look away from; the sparkling blue eyes like an ocean that anyone could get lost in.
Mason took his hand from the wolf's shoulder. "It's gettin' kinda late... should, er, probably be gettin' back to my room now."
John looked away. "Yeah..." was all he was able to mutter through the swirling emotions in his mind.
After a short moment. Mason got to his feet and walked to the door before John said; "Thank you... for-... for everything..."
The fox turned his head and smiled to John, a real smile, not a smirk, or a cocky grin, but a real, genuine, beautiful smile that, for half a second, made the wolf's heart stop. "See ya in the morn'n bigguy."
John watched as the fox's tail disappeared behind the edge of the doorframe and until the fading sound of his footsteps had disappeared.
The last time someone made his heart stop like that, was when Serene smiled at him like that...
~*~
Three hours and John couldn't catch a wink of sleep. Thoughts from his very recent divorce and new found emotions for the fox kept running rampant through his mind for sleep to come and take him over. Why was this happening? He thought to himself. Is this karma? God? Fate? What did I do wrong?
He sat up on his bed and dangled his feet over the edge. He sat there, unmoving and blank until he heard footsteps coming from down the hall. He watched his open door until he was Mason pass by, most likely on his way to get a drink of water as he normally did around this time of night. He was wearing nothing but a pair of boxer breafs, letting his tail drag on the ground behind him as he walked sleepily onward.
John sat and watched until the fox was out of sight and waited for him to walk back through. He waited a few minutes that felt like forever until he finally heard the footsteps and saw the lean muscular form of the smaller male.
John hopped off his bed. "Mason," he said in a loud whisper.
One of the fox's ears perked as he looked over to the beckoning wolf. He walked into his room and up to John. "Yeah, what is it?"
John looked around for a moment, making sure that no one was around to see before he took the fox by the shoulders and pressed his muzzle into Mason's. The fox stiffened up for a moment before relaxing and began kissing back.
The wolf, after a moment, pulled away and flattened his ears embarrassingly. "Do, uhhh... do you wanna stay over here for the night...?" he asked bashfully.
A look of shock was plastered on Mason's face before his muzzle crept into his usual cocky smiles. "Took you long enough to ask." He said teasingly, pushing the wolf gently back until his sat on the edge of the bottom bunk.
He knelt down between the wolf's legs again and began unzipping his pants, which was already straining from the increasing pressure of his groin. "Th-this isn't what I meant by stay over..." the wolf panted.
Mason got the wolf's cock out from under his pants and underwear and looked up and down it greedily. "Yeah, but you were thinking it."
John was about to protest when the fox lolled his tongue out and lapped up the length of his shaft, drawing an impressive spray of pre from the tip. The fox lapped again, feeling the wolf shudder with each stroke.
"God, Mason..." the wolf moaned and clenched his teeth, giving a throaty growl as another lap sent shivers up his spine.
The fox licked the glistening black member one last time before he puckered his lips and took the whole thing into his muzzle, finding out how big the wolf really was. He gulped the wolf and his pre down with a bit of effort, taking him all the way to the base of John's forming knot.
The wolf gripped the edge of the bed even harder under he felt his claws tearing at the surface as the fox slowly began to bob his head back and forth. Mason could feel the wolf's cock bulging his throat from the inside as he pushed his head further down until he felt the knot pop through his lips and into his cheeks.
He tugged at the knot a few times with his teeth gently, being careful not to scratch the wolf with one of his sharp caninds. "M-Mason, I'm gonna-"
The fox opened his mouth and let the slimy black cock flop out and looked up to the panting wolf as he whipped his mouth. He kissed the shining shaft before he stood up and pulled his own underwear down to the floor. His half erect red member hung over his sawing sac as he positioned himself and climbed up onto John's lap.
The wolf wrapped his arms around the fox's waist and pulled him close. He licked the white fur of Mason's stomach as he lowered his hand to dig under his tail until he felt warm flesh underneath.
The fox gasped as John applied pressure under his tail, feeling the smooth warmth inside and the muscular ring that clenched around his fingers. He played with the fox's insides as he licked his stomach and readied him for his large cock.
Mason hunched himself over the wolf as he felt him reach deeper inside, wriggling his fingers faster and faster. The wolf would randomly hit the fox's prostate, making him gasp and cringe more, adding sensation with the abdominal licking that he was receiving.
Finally, John pulled his fingers and took hold of the fox's sides. "Ready?" he asked and received and eager nod from Mason. He pushed his hips back with the guidance of John's hands until he felt the tip slip into him.
He gasped as he felt the wolf's hard member slide further inside of him until he was sitting on the wolf's knot. Mason clenched his teeth and cringed as his rear adjusted to the throbbing dick inside of him.
"You okay?" John panted.
"Y- ah! Yeah..." Mason lifted himself a bit bet before pushing back down slowly.
Lifting and lowing himself at a steady pace, Mason felt the wolf stretch and open him up wider, finally relaxing and coping with his full member.
He quickened his pace a bit, feeling the knot bump into his rear with every drop and smooth surface of the wolf's cock slide inside and out of him. He moaned and gasped in unison with John.
The wolf could feel himself looking control, slightly bucking his hips up and down as his heart skipped a few beats. He opened his mouth and bit down on the fox's shoulder before tightening his grip of his hips and stared pumping his hips up into him.
Mason gasped as he was no longer in control. The wolf had finally lost it and there was no coming back or stopping him now. John pumped his hips harder into Mason's inside, holding him steady by his hips and shoulder while he slowly lost control of his bucking.
Mason clutched the fur on John back and neck for some kind of support as he was rammed from his rear, feeling as though the wolf was tearing him in two.
The wolf's knot swelled bigger and bigger, bumping into the fox's rear when John would pump his hips. "Gonna cum..." John muffled through the fox's shoulder.
Mason could feel his own knot forming between his legs as the wolf's cock hit his prostate a few times. "M-me, mmfh... me too..."
With one last forceful thrust, John popped his knot into the fox as he released his load. Mason came too, all over their chests, making them sticky together. John pumped a few more times until he was completely drained, and let go of the fox's shoulder, gasping.
Mason hung over the wolf's shoulder and panted for breath, swaying his tail back and forth over the wolf's balls, tickling them as he waited for his knot to release them.
The fox sighed and he leaned back to face the wolf. He smiled at him before holding up he closed hand and opening it to revile the wolf's wedding band.
John looked at it for a moment, then back at the fox and kissed his nose. "Keep it safe for me?"
~*~
"You have no idea how many bets I just won because of what we did." Mason said gleefully as he snuggled closer into the wolf's chest. They were huddled into the small lower bunk-bed with the covers covering half their body as they lay facing each other.
"... So, uh, now what?" John asked. "What happens when we get off this ship?"
Mason chuckled. "What do you mean 'now what'? You give me your number and address silly and we'll make things work. She said you had the house now right? Maybe I'll drop by for a few days if you don't mind."
John smiled and snuggled his muzzle in between the fox's triangular ears. "I don't think I'd mind that at all."
