Red and Blake Ch. 8

"....It's a glorious Saturday morning and the time is seven am, now we head over to the news room for the latest news, weather and travel"

My paw lands on the off button of my clock radio to silence it, I mean come on, I already know how bad a state the world is in, and as for the weather, well it is my guess that is why they invented windows and curtains, you know, pull back the curtains if it is cloudy then there is a chance of rain or snow, if it is sunny then there is a high chance that it will remain that way, if it is almost pitch black when it should be daylight then it is time to put your head between your knees and kiss your arse goodbye, and with regards to the travel, well the traffic is usually pretty light in this town as if you leave your car unattended or unsecured then you get relieved of it by the local thugs.

I slowly climb out of bed and give myself an almighty stretch, I walk over to the window and open the curtains, 'Well I'll be damned, the guy on the radio was right for once, and it IS a glorious Saturday'.

I strip out of my nightwear and head towards my bathroom, collecting a towel as I go, I set the shower as I complete my morning ablutions, I guess I'm just one of those guys who hates getting into the shower and then switching it on and waiting for the temperature to equalise, I would sooner let the shower get up to temperature first and then have the knowledge that when I do step into the stall I won't have that shocking first cold spell followed by the spell where you get your fur melted off, yeah I guess you guys would call it a bit OCD but I guess that is who I am.

I step into the shower and I begin the task of making myself presentable as I know that I have a shopping date with Marlin in less than two hours and one thing I would hate is to smell all funky. I begin to wash my fur, I always start with my nether regions and this morning it seems that Red might have found his way into my dreams last night as my paw finds evidence of dried cum, "Oh man that has got to go, if Marlin smells that then she will get all of the wrong ideas"

I complete my shower making sure that I have cleaned away any scents and evidence of my sexy pursuit. I switch off my shower and exit the stall, using the towel I dry the worst of the water first and then I step into the fur drying stall, I set the fans to maximum speed and I have the temperature set to room temperature, I know that with this setting it will only take a few seconds to get my fur completely dry. Once my fur is dry I shut down the drier and then wrap the towel around my waist, I then head into my room to get myself ready for the day.

I pick out something summery to wear, a relatively tame Hawaiian shirt and a fairly tight pair of black jeans, to be honest most of the jeans that I own are either figure hugging or just don't leave a lot to the imagination but again that is the way I roll I guess, I lift my phone to see if I have had any missed calls or messages only to find that my phone is dead.

"For the love of god, please don't tell me that the damn charger has burnt out? Oh well better get a new one when I go into town I guess"

Thankfully I have an in car charger, I just hope that the car has a cigarette lighter where I can plug it in. I put my phone into my pocket and then I collect my keys and wallet and head out to the car.

Once I am sat in my car I connect my car phone charger to my phone and then find the lighter socket to connect it to the car, suddenly my phone shows the word 'Charging' on the screen. I wait for a few seconds and then I switch the phone on, I then put the phone into its holder and I fire up the engine.

As I select drive I hear my phone registering the fact that I have two missed messages, 'Damn it, I hope that Marlin is still okay to go to town today, oh well I gotta get a new charger anyway so it won't be a wasted trip'

It takes me half an hour to get to Marlin's place, as I pull up to the curb I give a little blast on the horn to announce my arrival, I would go to the front door, but I'm not sure how Marlin's parents would take to the idea of her teacher taking her into town.

While I wait for Marlin to show I take my phone from the holder and check my messages, one of the messages is from Marlin and so I just quickly check to make sure that we are still on for today, the next message is from Red.

"Hello Mr.Winters, we would like to meet you in town Sunday at 6 p.m. for dinner, this is Red by the way, anyways the restaurant is called Heavenly L'Amore its owned by a close family friend and it is semi-formal, also for dessert if you'd like we'd love for you to join us at home for some homemade apple pie. Hope to hear from you soon. <3 Red"

Once I have looked at Red's message I get the familiar tingling down below, _'Oh gods no please not now'_and now I am blushing as I have just seen the heart icon at the end of the message, suddenly I am aware of the front door of Marlin's house opening and so I quickly close the message and put the phone back into its holder again.

I hope and pray that Marlin will not see the extension of my Doberman pride as she gets into the car, fortunately all seems well as she makes herself comfortable and then she straps herself in, with that task complete we head into town.

We walk around the mall for a good three and a half hours, I manage to purchase a new phone charger and then we spend the rest of the time looking into the best external harddrives for Marlin.

"Well Marlin, there are quite a few options to chose from when it comes to harddrives, if you want a standard external harddrive for your PC or laptop then I would say to go for a 500gb Western Digital to start with, if you want to be able to access your work on the harddrive from anywhere in the world however then you will need to go for a cloud external harddrive, so which one would you like to go for?"

Marlin picks out a small unit to start with, I then look at my watch and see that it is close to lunch time. We both decide to head for one of the fast food joints in the mall so that we can get a small bite to eat and something to drink.

All through our visit to the mall Marlin has not mentioned my...unfortunate embarrassment and so hopefully I think I might have gotten away with it. With our lunch finished I take Marlin home, as we pull up to the curb I tell her how to connect her harddrive to her computer, she thanks me for my time and then climbs out of the car.

I wait for her to get to her front door and then I make my journey back home. By the time I arrive home my phone is now fully charged and so I disconnect it from the charger and then I get out of the car, I collect my new charger and then head inside the house.

Once inside I head upstairs to my room, as I walk I read Red's message again and again my loins begin to tighten, I enter my room and flop down onto my bed, I then send a text in reply.

"Hi Red, sorry I haven't replied to you before now but my phone died and needed new charger, I would love to come to dinner with you and you're folks, I know of the restaurant and I will put on my Sunday finest and meet you there at 6pm <3 Blake"

Well I decided that if I couldn't beat him then I may as well join him, having checked my reply over I press the send key on my phone, well I guess it is too late to change anything now, I just hope against hope that Red's folks don't see the message that I have sent in reply, otherwise I am so screwed.
