Watch where you dose off. You might just become a character in one of your favorite movies.
Chapter 1Arrival in the Edge of The Alaskan FrontierI had just gotten home from another long lecture at college. Only reason I was going was to get a degree majoring in Wildlife Preservation. Not many went for it. The reason I was doing this ajor was so I could go to Alaska and see how animals lived there. I was really wanting to see how huskies and wolves lived, stray or pet, even the wolf-dog half-breeds. I guess one movie that really inspired me was the movie Balto.Balto was the first movie my parents ever got my sisters and I, but being the youngest in the family, and certainly not the strongest, after I knew how to speak, I said I wanted to watch Balto, but they just came in and took over, putting in their own movies they wanted to watch. When I complained to mom, they would always win the argument by making up excuses. I wasn't fair, and it didn't help when I was bullied at school from kindergarten to eighth grade. But those days were over. I was at college, with my sisters going into the dressing business, far away from me. I was close to home, since Dad was off on a business trip like he usually was, so mom needed someone from the family to keep her company even though she said I shouldn't worry about her or dad. Talk about being a loving family... not.Anyways, I now had copies of the Balto trilogy, and some people thought it was weird I still watched it, but other's thought it was neat to keep some childhood memories. So, now here I was in my private dorm room. I made myself some Hamburger Helper Tomato Bazil Penne, since my family was rich and offered me a steady payment of the family fortune. Dad had only allowed me that since I was the more responsible one, and my sisters were in an outrage when they found out. Moving on, as I finished up the cooking and turning off the stove, I took a portion of the meal and put it on a plate, then I poured myself a glass of Pepsi before setting it on the dinning table in my living room.I then decided to pop in Balto 2 wolf quest, to see if I would spot anything in the movie that I learned in my class. I ate my meal and had just gotten to the part where the little Scottish terrier running into Balto, at least I think that's what the dog was that bumped into Balto,
which I don't see why they would have those in Alaska. I always loved hearing Borris's Russian accent. Just as it got to the part where Balto started running towards Jenna's place, I dosed off, or at least I think I did. When I regained my senses, everything felt strange. For some reason, my hands and feet felt positioned in a weird way, like, positioned the way most dogs and cats were, and they felt shorter right now. And my face felt longer as well. I was totally confused. This had to be some crazy dream. That explanation was short lived as I felt someone, or something kick me. I yelped, and I was truly alarmed. Everything I just described to myself sounded like that of a puppy. Then I realized something else... I couldn't see, all the more confirmation I was a puppy. I was now trying to determine where I was though. I crawled around a bit, since I guess I must be like an hour old, a week at most. Just as I thought I was falling off of something, I felt someone grab me... with their mouth. As I was set down, I heard a voice that sounded really familiar say, "There we go, my little Talcane. You're a bit too young to be wondering off. Now you just wait right here with mommy until your brothers and sisters are done with their meal."Okay, so one moment I am at college eating my dinner, and now I'm a helpless baby pup. This is one of the weirdest things that's ever happened. I swear I know that voice though. Well whoever it is, she's my mother now til I figure out how to get back to the college as the human I was, if I ever do. As I lay where I think was my new mother's front paws, I hear a door creak open. I then hear a familiar line. "Hello Balto... Well come in, they don't bite. At least not yet," said my mother.Oh boy. This is now really odd. So I doze off, then I wake up as a pup named Talcane and I am in the movie Balto 2. Not that I wasn't ungreatful. How many fans get to say they are in the movie. But how am I here, if this is just a movie?... Unless... this is actually an alternate reality created by the creation of the movie series itself. As they were talking all of the sudden I was pulled from my train of thought as I hear Balto, er, dad ask, "What happened to our little pup here Jenna?""Balto, do you see his size compared to his brothers and sisters. His body can't handle being climbed over and kicked at, he's too fragile right now, and his brother gave him a kick in the face a minute ago," Jenna said in a motherly tone as she nuzzled me."Calm down Jenna, I just wanted to know if he was hurt or something," Balto said.As they continued on, I started thinking not much has changed aside from the fact I am a dog, well, wolf-dog. I was still the smallest of the bunch, or the runt as some will probably call me. I'll bet all my siblings will be treating me like I am just some unneeded brother. I soon feel my mom pick me up again and set me down near her belly. Only reason I could tell was now I could smell milk. That meant it was time to nurse. I soon latch on to one of Jenna's nipples and suckle for my meal. "That's it honey, drink as much as you can so you can get big and strong like your daddy," Mom says.I drank until my tummy said it was full and then latch of giving a cute little burp. After that, I feel mom pick me up and put me between her forepaws again. Well, might as well get used to being a wolf-dog. Wonder when my eyes will open. I curled up into my new mom's fur and fell asleep, feeling mom, or maybe dad giving me a gentle nuzzle.Well, end of chapter one. What do you guys think? Thought I'd try something new here. Hope you all enjoyed it. I'll make an update when I can. Stay tuned.
