#8 of Ginga series

I decided to make an fanfic of Hakuro from the Ginga Series to go with this picture. Don't let this romantic looking drawing fool you though. It's not exactly a tearjerker, but if any of you are suckers for getting tearjerked, I would strongly recommend tissued guidance :P

"Where am I?.....what happened?........"

The female husky awakens and opens her eyes to see the ocean in front of her. Unaware of what had just occurred. She recognized the smell of sea water all over her dark red and white fur. The last thing she remembered was swimming in that ocean, trying to stay alive. "Are you alright?" She suddenly looked around to see where the voice came from. When she looked up she saw a figure. A male dog was standing over her. He was of the same breed as well. Except he had black and white fur. Two long scars were located next to his left eye. The eyes directed towards her looked rather beady and excited, with black markings surrounding them. The expression from his face was different. He looked worried, and a tad curious as well. "I think so," The female said. "What happened to me?" "You were struggling to swim through all those waves. You kept falling under the water. I was very fortunate to be able to get to you in time. I thought I was going to bring back a drenched corpse," The male said, ending with loud chuckle. The young female slightly grinned at his last remark, and his laugh. She found his laughter amusing, making her a bit more relaxed. She then turned back to the ocean to find it being smothered with huge waves. "Thank you for rescuing me," she said, bowing her head as she did. "What we're you doing out there anyway? A female swimming in waters like that is basically suicide," the male asked. The female sort of opened her mouth for a second before closing it back up and then looked down with a sad look on her face. "Don't worry about it, we'll get to that later. Follow me, I'll take you back to my home. The tide's getting closer and if we stay here much longer we'll be swimming again," the male added, knowing that she didn't look happy to talk about her problems at that time. She attempted to stand up and go follow this male. But an aching pain went through all four legs when she tried to, making her fall back down. When the male saw this he immediately ran back to her side. He knew she wasn't going to be able to walk at all in her condition. He then put the Husky female on his back. "I'll carry you madam. It will be a while before get there, so feel free to take a bit of a rest on my back if you like," the male kindly offered. She accepted his offer, looking a bit helpless, feeling somewhat like she was a damsel in distress. The male then went under her and lifted himself up with her up on his back. "You must have been swimming for days if your legs are that sore. But for a female you've done pretty well getting through an ocean like that," he said. The female laid still on his back, like she wasn't paying any attention to what he said. He knew she wasn't in the mood for talking. But he was still wanting to know what was going on. He wanted to know if this stranger he just found was okay. "Do you have a name Miss," asked the male "Tanya, Tanya of Northern Siberia. You?" "I'm Hakuro, Hakuro of Hokkaido!" he said, again ending it with his unique laughter. "Which is where you are if you didn't know. I'm the leader of this island. Nice to meet you Tanya. Though it wasn't the way two would like to meet, having to drag you out of an ocean full of waves." Tanya quietly giggled at the humorous but good point he had made, making Hakuro laugh again.

During their journey to Hakuro's base, she looked around to embrace a sight of a very nice scenery. The grass was green, The trees had grown it's leaves and flowers of many kinds. The volcanic mountains in the distance were nice to look at as well. "This place is really beautiful," Tanya said. "There are lots of flowers and trees here, and it seems quite peaceful." "No better place like Hokkaido. It's very peaceful indeed. Every dog you'll meet here are the best you'll meet," Hakuro said. "What's it like in Siberia? Do you get much scenery there?" "Not really, we have a lot of snow there. All the trees are covered with it. That's pretty much all you see," she replied. Hakuro only grinned when she said this. She then went on to take a rest while this generous male carried her all the way home.

When Tanya finally woke up from her short nap, she saw a huge field a head of her, with at least fifty dogs across it. Her eyes widened with amazement of the beauty of this field. "We have now reached our destination," Hakuro said, with a smile on his face. Tanya thought to herself that Hakuro must've been so lucky to live in a place like this. Let alone being the leader of it. She then directed her sight towards a brown-furred dog walking in their direction to meet up with his leader. "Where have you been sir? Are you alright?" the subordinate asked. "I'm fine Hannusuke, just had to rescue this young lady here from drowning in the ocean," Hakuro said. "Have you found any trouble yet?" "Haven't seen anyone coming over," he replied. He then bowed his head to his leader and also to Tanya, welcoming her as he did. Both of them bowed back, acknowledging the young male. Hakuro then carried her to a cave which she realized he live in. Once he laid her down he sat next to her side. "Now tell me what's going on here Tanya. How come you were swimming in seas like that. I hope you weren't swimming around Russia to get here," Hakuro said "Well, I was on a boat you see. I was a house dog. My owner decided to take a trip. I had no idea where she was going. She also had another human with her. I think it was her companion. Anyways, one night I heard come from where my owner was sleeping. I went inside the room to find this other human was trying to kill her," she said, with her head facing down to the ground. "I tried to protect her, but he grabbed me by the tail and slam me into the wall. Then he grabbed again and took me out of the room. He dragged me outside and then threw off the boat. I don't think my human lasted much longer after that. I just kept on swimming not knowing where I was going, trying to go away as far as I could." By the time she had finished explaining her story to Hakuro, tears were streaming down her face. He then place his paw onto hers, giving her a soft smile. "Well you're safe now, and I'm very sorry to hear about your human. It must have been a pretty bad experience," he said. "As a leader, I know what it's like to witness loved ones die in front of me. Only a few months ago I was involved in a battle against a giant bear who had taken over a certain prefecture. Dogs from all across Japan came together to fight this monster. I lost so many of my brothers, so many friends. It took a little while for me to get over it." Tanya felt bad inside for Hakuro inside, hearing of his story. She knew that her experience didn't even come close to what it was like for him watching friends and family die in battle. He then continued, "It's going to be the same for you Tanya. It will take time before you'll let this pass. But I promise you will get all the support you need right here. As I said before, all the dogs here are good. We'll all take very good care of you." Tanya smiled at Hakuro after he had mentioned this. She was already feeling relaxed in the place that she had only just arrived in by accident. Something about the place made her feel a lot more comfortable.

A month had pasted since Tanya had been washed up on the shores of the island of Hokkaido. Everyone here had been so kind to her. She had made quite a number of new friends in the area. She was glad of all the help she was getting, especially from Hakuro. He had shown her around the island, and he'd always cheer her up when she needed it most. Even the sound of his laugh would cheer her up straight away. Whenever she was with Hakuro, she felt like she could trust him with anything. Even her life. She was sitting with two other females during one sunny afternoon. Their names were Miyuri and Reina. These two were basically her friends besides Hakuro. She really enjoyed their company. "So Tanya, what was it like when you stumbled into the Leader?," Reina asked. "Um...I don't know. He'd just saved me from drowning in huge waves. He offered to carry me here. He was really kind to me," she answered. Both her friends looked at each other with surprised expressions appearing on their faces. "So that's how you got here," Miyuri added. "That's also something we don't hear Hakuro doing every day either. We thought you had swam over here to visit or something and you and Hakuro came to you with his 'greeting'." Reina and Miyuri both laughed while Tanya looked very confused, not know really knowing what was so funny. "Greeting?," Tanya questioned. Her two friends realized that she didn't know what they meant by Hakuro's 'greeting. "The leader does what he calls his 'Hokkaido greeting," Reina explained. "When anyone come over to Hokkaido, he'll pretend he's attacking you for 'invading'. Being as he usually is he'll then start to laugh, asking you what you'd thought of his so called greeting. You know what his humor is like. Very brash and energetic." Tanya laughed as she went to lay down. "Hey Tanya can I ask you something?," Miyuri said with Tanya responding with a small nod. "You've spent quite a bit of time Hakuro right. He's shown you around, helped you get to know us, taught you how to hunt and other stuff." Tanya didn't really know what she was intending on asking. "What are you saying?" "Well my question is this. Do you have any feelings for him?," Miyuri said with a grin on her face. Reina then turned to her with a mad look on her face. "Miyuri that was so inappropriate, asking her a thing like that!" she yelled. Miyuri laughed and said, "Hey, it isn't like we're telling her that we're jealous. Come on we're happy with the mates we have aren't we?" Tanya then started to get reddish cheeks, looking slightly embarrassed. Her two friends sort of went jaw-dropped when they saw the look on her face. "You mean you actually like him?," Reina asked. She then uttered small um's and er's, feeling even more embarrassed. "Come on, I've seen what you're like around him. You can't take his eyes off him. You have this cute grin on your face each time he laughs," Miyuri added. "No I don't." "First off, YES..YOU...DO! Second of all we're not teasing you or anything. I actually think you two sort of suit each other. Just saying." Tanya didn't say anything. But she knew Miyuri was right. She does like him. She had grown feelings for him ever since the day they first met. She didn't think that she would be good enough for him to like her though.

Hakuro was watching his pack from the top of a small hill. It was Hakuro's favorite place to be. Almost every night he would come out onto the hilltop, just to gaze at all the stars in the sky. It would always remind him of how lucky he was to be leader of such a beautiful place. He thought he had almost everything he needed. But he'd sometimes feel like he was missing something. He couldn't quite put his paw on it. Something felt empty. He then heard someone walk up behind him which made him turn. He immediately recognized who it was when he saw him. "Ah brother, finally coming over to sky watch with me have you, ha ha ha," Hakuro laughed. It was his brother Shinji. The only other member of his siblings who was still alive. His personality was quite different from his brother's. He didn't have his sense of humor or the bright enthusiasm he had. But he had his self-confidence and kindness like Hakuro. He cared very much for his brother, as Hakuro did back. "You've always loved looking at the stars, haven't you Hakuro. Hm, I don't get it. You come here almost every night. Wouldn't you get tired by just looking at them each night?," Shinji asked. "Coming up here always reminds me of how fortunate I am to live here. Whether it be day or night, it doesn't get better than this. Even if I wasn't leader, I'd be proud of my home just as much," Hakuro answered, with his smile showing as always. "Don't you feel the same way?" "Well, I'm grateful to live in a place like Hokkaido. But I don't think I would personally need to look at the stars to tell me that," his brother said. The two brothers both laughed at the remark. Shinji then had something go through his mind that he should discuss with Hakuro. "Brother, you've been leader for a fair while now. I'm surprised you haven't picked out a mate yet." Hakuro looked at his brother for a few seconds before giving him a smile. "I just haven't gotten around to start looking for one yet," he said. "What do you think of females Hakuro?," Shinji asked. "Well.....how can I say it. The can vary. Some are kind and nice. Others are really shy. Some can be quite stuck up as well. They come in all sorts," he answered. Shinji grinned and continued on, "What about that Siberian female you brought in. You spend a fair amount of time with her. What do you think of her?" Hakuro paused for a few moments, trying to put his thoughts into words as best as he could. "Um...She always thought of her as a really kind female. Sometimes she can be shy. But she's only been out here for last month or so. For a house dog she turned out pretty good. She can hunt pretty good for a female, let alone someone who used to be a pet. She also.....also has nice fur." ".....Nice fur?," Shinji asked, with a curious look on his face. "Yeah, she has nice fur. It must be the red I guess. Also her.......DAMMIT SHINJI YOU'RE MAKING ME LOOK LIKE I'M CHECKING HER OUT!," Hakuro yelled with embarrassed, making his brother laugh loudly. His laugh was sort of similar to Hakuro's. As his brother it was kind of be expected. "Brother I think you are looking," he added. Hakuro gave him a wide-eyed glare, which made his brother laugh again. Hakuro started getting a bit shy which caused his brother to come up and nudge him with his nose across the shoulder. "Hey, all I'm going to say is don't let a good one slip from your paws. If you were looking for that special someone, I personally think she would be close to perfect for you." Hakuro then looked at his brother and gave him a soft grin, with his brother returning him with the same. "You how they say opposite attract brother? Well that's what I think of you two. You are the brash, energetic guy who is outgoing, has beady eyes and a crazy laugh. She is the shy but gentle girl, who hasn't lived long out here and but can already put up with you and your humor," his brother added. Hakuro snorted with amusement. "We'll see about that Shinji, we see about that," he replied. "For now I may as well hit the deck for the night. Goodnight brother." He ended the conversation, bowing his head to his brother as they both walked off their homes to get some sleep.

"STOP IT, STOP IT!!!" These words were all Tanya heard while racing down to the bedroom to see what was happening to her owner. The next thing she would witness would be scarred in her memories for the rest of her life. Her owner was on the bed, half-naked and bloody all over, while her male companion was continuously striking her with a bat. "Get away from her you filthy rat!," Tanya roared out towards her owner's attacker, which would only be growls and barks to him. She grabbed his leg and threw him as far away as she could. She then went on to check on her owner before all of a sudden she felt her tail being pulled hardly. She looked behind to see that the attacker had grabbed onto her tail. Before she could attempt to defend herself, the male human then swung her into the wall beside her. She felt nothing expect for pure pain all over the right side of her body, not even being able to move properly because of it. The attacker then grabbed her again and then dragged her outside. Tanya's owner knew what he was about to do. "Noooo, please don't this to her. LEAVE HER ALONE!," her owner screamed. He was going to throw Tanya off the boat. "Shut up you whiny bitch! You'll be next after her," the attacker yelled back. Before she could make any movement, the male human had already went on to throw her overboard. She made a loud splash when she had hit the water. She was still in a lot of pain, but she knew that she had to push herself to swim. Unfortunately she also knew that there was nothing that she could do for her beloved owner. All she could do was swim away as far as she could, hoping that the attacker wouldn't come back to finish her as well. "Keep swimming, keep swimming," were the words continuously going through her head as she battled the cold seas in front of her.

"Ahh!!," Tanya jolted out as she woke out of her bad dream, quickly sitting up as she did. She then dropped her head down in sadness and started crying silently to herself. Even a month later, she would still be having these nightmares of the memories of that fateful night. No matter how much she tried to forget it, she just wasn't able to. Tanya then went into the forest behind she was sleeping. She kept on walking and walking, trying to walk away her sadness that kept on getting to her. Once she had gotten far enough away from the pack that she was well out of range for them to see or hear her, she screaming out towards the sky, with tears running down her face. "Why wasn't I strong enough. Why wasn't I strong enough," she cried to herself. She stay in the spot she was in for the most of the day. A male was holding a pheasant while he was walking to where Tanya would be usually resting. He had just finished hunting food for the pack and had gone to deliver one of his catches. When he saw that she wasn't there he ran back towards the field. "Tanya isn't there,' the male said as he ran back to the main group. "What do you mean she isn't there?," asked another dog, who was sitting near him. "I went to give this pheasant to her, but she wasn't even there went I arrived." Miyuri heard this and said, "She's probably taking a breather again. She still has bad dreams about her owner getting killed. Poor Tanya, she's so stress out about it all. I wish I could say something to make her forget it all, but it's not that simple." Hearing this from afar was Hakuro. He hadn't even realized this was happening to Tanya. It made him feel quite sorry for her. Not even he was still having thoughts about when his friends and family died for this long. "Oi, I'll go look for her. There's a bit of a storm brewing in, so I'm going to go and bring her back before it arrives," Hakuro said. "Are sure Boss? She might want to be found in the mood that she's probably in." Hakuro smiled and said, "Trust me, I'll get her back in high spirits soon enough." He then went off towards the place that Tanya would be sleeping. Her scent was still strong enough for Hakuro to smell out. He noticed that the scent lead straight towards the forest. He sighed to himself, knowing that it would probably take a while before he would be able to find her. So he wasted no time and went into the forest, trying to pick up her trail.

Tanya sat there in silence, looking down towards the ground non-stop. She couldn't get these bad memories out of her head. Then she realized where she had walk to was totally unfamiliar to her. She was surrounded by millions of tree around her. This made her feel even worse. "Great Tanya you sook, you've ran off into the forest and gotten yourself lost. Just great," she softly grumbled to herself. She then felt a trickle of water fall upon her nose. She looked up to see that the sky was completely grey. All of the sudden rain started pouring down on top of her, not amusing her one bit. "And it's raining. Brilliant, just what I needed to help myself out of this situation," she grumbled again. She was that annoyed with herself and the rain, she still didn't feel like moving from the spot she was in. She just stood there and frowned, thinking that life couldn't get any worse. Lightning flashes started to appear, along with loud rumble of thunder. A whole storm was coming her way and she didn't even seem to care. "HEY!!!!!! HEY!!!!!" Tanya looked to the direction where the sudden voice has appeared. She saw Hakuro sprinting towards her. "Just the dog to find me like this, even more brilliant," Tanya thought to herself. When Hakuro got her, she noticed that he seemed relieved to her, but really worried at the same time. "What the hell are you doing out here Tanya?!?! In the middle of this storm, what were you thinking?!?!?" Tanya stood there silent, she heard what he said but she had no intention on answering him in the mood that she was in. Hakuro felt quite annoyed at this, giving her a bit of a glare. "DIDN'T YOU HEAR ME?!? ANSWER ME TANYA!!! ANSWER ME!!!........What's wrong?" Tanya still stood there, not saying a word to him. She was afraid that whatever she would say would hurt him, but even more so herself. Hakuro looked down, trying to think as hard as he could. He then looked back up to see Tanya slightly trembling. "Can you please tell me what wrong? I've been worried about the way you've been acting, really worried. I really care for you," he said. "No you don't," Tanya said, letting nothing out but negative thoughts from her mind. "Yes I do! I really do. I maybe this guy who's always laughing his head off and not seeming to worry about that bad things. But I can definitely tell when someone in my pack is in pain. And I have to help them out, no matter what. You're one of us Tanya. Don't think you aren't. You're a sweet, friendly female. Don't let something like this tear all that into millions of pieces. I can't stand to see you this.....especially you. I'm not leaving until we figure this out once and for all. I'm not leaving until you're smiling again. Because when you're..........because when you're happy, I'm happy. And I mean that. Please tell me what's wrong........please. That was that last straw that held Tanya's emotions together, as she slumped to the ground crying the loudest that she ever cried in her life. "I can't with this! You said that I would get over it but I just can't Hakuro, I just can't!," she cried out, thumping one paw into the ground in frustration. She then felt something lie across her back. She realized Hakuro was lying of her, hugging her back as he did. Soon she wasn't crying about her worries anymore, She was crying for the fact that someone had cares this much for her. She had never heard anyone say something so caring to her. For minutes she sat there crying hardly, while Hakuro was on top, refusing to let go until she had finally stopped. Hakuro helped her up on her feet, as she wasn't putting in much effort to lift herself up. "I think we should find some shelter, and quickly. What do you say," Hakuro said to her. She nodded in agreement before they both wandered off in the middle of the forest, looking for a place to seek shelter from the storm.

After about five minutes of wandering in the heavy rain, they came across a small house. Hakuro went up to the window to find that no one was inside. He then to the door and found it was unlocked. The two Huskies then went inside, shaking off all the water from their fur as they went in. "Well that was a lot of fun wasn't it," Hakuro said with sarcastic enthusiasm. Tanya felt a wide smile form across her face when she heard the comment. "At least we've found somewhere dry to sleep. We also have a comfortable human bed here to sleep on. Top accommodation I'd say," he added, ending his sentence with loud laughter. After a few minutes they began to talk about the issues Tanya was still having about that certain memories. As she explained each one of them, Hakuro seemed to really understand how she was feeling. "Hakuro, I don't know how I can let this go. I'm not like you. This.....this really hurt me. Maybe it's just because I'm female. We always have stronger emotions," Tanya said. "Well, when I'm feeling sad about something, I would try to think about what makes me happy. That doesn't just work for me either. It works for a lot of folks," Hakuro explained. "I don't know what makes me happy." "What about a happy memory you've cherished?" "If I think about any happy memories involving my owner, it'll just lead straight back to the bad ones again. Just thinking about her makes that happen," Tanya said, looking down at the floor. Hakuro paused for a few seconds, "What about with any of us here?" Tanya suddenly went shy for a moment, not knowing what she should say next. "Most of those memories I've cherished were..........were with you." Hakuro looked at her, feeling surprised at her last comment. Then he gave her a warm smile. "If that's what makes you happy, then think about that." Tanya smiled back at him, feeling grateful that she had someone that can really help her out. She was feeling a lot better already. "Thank you....thank you for everything you've done for me. Ever since you found me, you've never stopped caring. And I'm sorry that I said before that you didn't. I wasn't myself. I really am glad to have someone like you," Tanya said, looking at Hakuro. The looked at each other for a few moments. Their eyes glistening at each other before Hakuro broke the moment between the two. 'Well, I'm glad we've been able to work it out together," he said. " I think we should get some sleep, unless you want to drop down snoring on our journey back." Tanya laughed again. As Hakuro was just about to go to sleep, a random thought popped into the back of the female's mind. "Hakuro, can I ask you one more thing? I'm sorry if it sounds like a stupid thing to talk about." Hakuro nodded with a smile on his face, as he always had. Tanya then went on to ask him her question. "When I was talking to Reina and Miyuri, they said that they thought that when you found me, you had welcomed me with a thing you called a 'Hokkaido greeting'." Hakuro laughed loudly when he heard her mention this. "You want me to show you what it is?" Tanya shyly nodded in reply to his offer. The male gave her a satisfied look. "All it is really is simply....." Before she knew it, Hakuro had pinned her to the bed with his mouth around her throat. She was scared for a moment before the Hokkaido leader started laughing again. She never expected something like this to happen. Next thing they were looking at each again. The same way as they were a few minutes ago. They gave each other a gentle smile. "Hakuro........I need to tell you something," Tanya said. Hakuro looking at her curiously, wondering what she would say next. "Every time I'm with you, my day becomes better. You've made me into someone stronger. You've helped me believe in myself. When I first met you, I couldn't stop thinking about you. Hakuro I...I......I love you." Hakuro gulped quietly when he heard the last four words she said to him. He didn't know how to respond. "I just thought I should tell you that, now that we're here. I also need to know how you feel about me. Whatever your answer is, I will respect it either way," Tanya added. Hakuro was silent as he tried to think of the best he could tell how he felt. He leaned a little closer to her. "You really want to know how I feel about you?," he asked. Tanya gave him a quick, small nod in reply. "Close your eyes." Tanya closed her eyes, nervous to find out what his answer will be. Next thing she felt was Hakuro's nose and snout nuzzling her neck. She open her eyes straight away in amazement. She stared at him a for a few seconds, while he was nuzzling and licking her. She then returned with a few licks of her own across the top of his head and ears. They continued on for a few minutes before Hakuro moved his head towards her belly, starting to lick her nipples as he did. Tanya laid her head back onto the pillow, closing her eyes in relaxation as she felt the male's tongue smoothly travelling around her mid-section. As his tongue moved towards her virginal area, she twitch a little in reaction. She softly moan out as the front part of his tongue moved its way inside her, making her move around even more. Hakuro half-laid down while perform this action, savoring the moment as much as he could. After a couple of minutes he got back up and prepared himself from the next part. Tanya looked under Hakuro to see his erected member as his hindquarters began to go down against hers. She then felt Hakuro's member lodge itself inside her, slowing thrusting back and forth, giving her a bit of time to get used to this new feeling she was experiencing. "You ready for this?," Hakuro asked her. Tanya slowly nodded in approval. Hakuro then built up his speed, thrusting back and forth as he did, pinning his new found mate against the bed, licking and nipping her neck. Tanya was letting out whimpers, moans and loud panting. Her head was resting against the pillow with her neck facing the air, clenching her eyes shut with her mouth open as she enjoyed the feeling of mating with the male she admired most. After about around ten minutes, Hakuro started panting heavily, giving a few hard thrusts, then repositions himself till both of their ends were facing each other. Tanya then felt his seed squirting inside her, surprising her a bit when it happened. "Well that was quite a workout wasn't it," Hakuro said sarcastically, laughing once again. After 20-30 minutes, the swelling went enough for him to disconnect himself from Tanya. He then laid beside her, nuzzling her neck. "Promise me that we'll always be together, always be at each other's side," Hakuro said gently. Tanya gave him a warm smile as replied, "Until the day I die." They then went on to rest until the weather has passed.

Many months later....

Hakuro was sitting on his favorite hilltop, watching the every one down below and enjoying the view. He and Tanya were expecting pups any time soon. He felt very excited about their arrival, but also nervous about himself being a father. He wasn't sure how good of a father he would be, and was worried about the odds. But then he thought that any small mistakes he might make, he'll learn from them. As long as he had faith, he wouldn't fail as a father. Also with Tanya at his side, he knew that everything would be alright. Suddenly he heard another dog running to him from behind. "Boss! Your puppies! They've arrived!," his subordinate yelled out. He then ran down the back of the hilltop as fast as he could, wasting no time at all to meet up with his mate and his children. Once he was at the den, he saw his brother standing out the front. "Before you go in, there's something you should know," Shinji said. Hakuro stopped, looking curious and wondering why this was happening. He then nodded towards his brother, allowing to continue and state his reasons. "You're pups have all arrived safe and healthy.....but......but....Tanya...." Hakuro knew what he was trying to tell him, making him immediately walk inside the den, slowly progressing his way towards his mate. He noticed she look really out of it, completely rid of all energy. His heard his brother call everyone else out of the den, giving Hakuro some time alone with her. "H-Hakuro.......I..I'm so...sorry.....dear," she said soflty. Hakuro then started swaying his head, side to side. "Don't say things like that. You're gonna make it. I know you can hold on," He said with a slight tone of pain in his voice. He then saw four young pups lying next to her belly. All of them males. "Any names for them?," Hakuro asked. "I.....thought.....you would like to," she replied. Hakuro then gave her a slight smile. "I want you to name them." Tanya then lifted her paw up with all the energy she had left and pointed it first at a black and pup with two small white circles on his forehead. "Suzaku." Next was a puppy almost identical, only with larger white circles. "Seiriyuu." The third she pointed at was a red and white pup, with white marking above his eyes. "Genbu." The last pup was also red and white, with marking above his eyes as well, but joint up with a very husky like marking in the middle of his forehead. "Byakko." "I like the names very much." Hakuro said. He looked at his children for a few moments before looking back at his dying mate. "Hakuro.....Ha...Hakuro...," Tanya uttered out. He leaned a closer to her, wanting to know what her message was. "I...I...love......I love.......you." Hakuro then gave her a gentle smile, as both of them had tears slowly appearing under their eyes. "I love you too," he replied. Tanya slightly smiled with a couple of tear running down the sides of her face. She then gave out her last breath, closed her eyes and her life faded away until she knew no more. Hakuro trembled with grief, tears streaming down his face. He then slumped to the ground and laid head against his dead mate neck, sobbing as he did. Here ended the life of Tanya. A beautiful and caring female husky who had a heart of a lion. Though her life had its ups and downs, she would always find peace again. "Don't die....please...don't do this to me. THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!!!," he cried out. This scared his pups a little from how loud he yelled. He immediately got up to comfort the pups. He then went towards the pups, licking each one. "I promise I won't let you die. I'll die before I see all of you go," Hakuro said.

A promised that he vowed to keep for the rest of his life.
