The meditations went well. I decide to try and help out my friend. I know something is wrong but I am not sure what it is. Angel calls again and it seems like he is finding the chinks in my armor.

Once I reached home I ate supper then locked myself in my room and turned on my tablet. I chose a playlist at random and once the music started to play I took a deep breath and imagined as I was breathing out that I was releasing the stress from my body. I slowly let myself relax and the stress seemed to bleed off of me. Various aches and pains awoke from their slumber but I ignored them as I concentrated on keeping my breathing even and lost myself in the music.

After five hours of meditation I slowly began to move once more. My legs had fallen asleep on me and it was hard to move them. After that I lost my shirt and my jeans keeping my boxers on as I settled under the covers and let sleep claim my mind.

In the morning the alarm woke me once more and I sighed before getting up and turning it off. I went through my mourning routine and then since it was Saturday I texted Sarah to see if she wanted to hang out today. She texted back saying that she would be there to pick me up within the hour and I started to shower and then dressed. She showed up as I was combing my last tail and I hurried outside to her car.

"How are you?" I asked as I slid into the passenger's side. She frowned a bit then said "I guess I'm OK. What did you want to do today?"

"I don't know I really didn't have anything planned." "How bout we head to the park near my place then and walk awhile." "Sounds good to me." She pulled out of the driveway and we headed down the road. I stayed quite as I we drove and enjoyed the morning air. Sarah seemed to be happy about something because I swear I heard her purring more than once.

When we reached the park my phone started to ring and I jumped in surprise. Sarah glanced at me as I answered it and put it to my ear. "So Fox how did the meditation go?" it took me a few minuets to realize who it was. "Oh hey Angel. Yeah it went well." "So where are you today?" "I'm at the park with a friend." "Well I'm glad it went well then. Call me later if you want." I disconnected the call with my thoughts scattering in a thousand different directions.

Sarah waved her paw in front of my face then finally had to pinch me to get my attention. "I'm sorry. That phone call threw me off." I apologized. She tilted her head "Who was it?" I sighed "It was Angel. I snuck out a few nights ago and got on the local gay teen chat. He and I talked awhile and I gave him my number at the end of the night. He is sweet and seems to care but... I don't want to go to fast or get burned." Sarah smiled at me. "It sounds like he is already finding the chinks in your armor."

I nodded absently and together we started to walk down the path. "That maybe true. I feel as if I can trust him and he hasn't given me any reason not to trust him either. I'm usually so cautious but with him...I don't feel the need to be." She grinned "Your in Love" she giggled and then took off running with me chasing after her.

I chased her around the swings and through the jungle gym before giving up. I was smiling though and my tails were wagging furiously behind me. We sat down on a nearby bench to catch our breath and I took my chance. "I noticed something was up yesterday at school. Want to talk about it?" Sarah noticeably tensed and I didn't push it.

Several emotions played across her face but the main one was hurt. "Sarah" I said softly and she turned to look at me. "If you don't want to say anything I won't push it. Just know that I am here for you if you need me. I don't care if you have to call me up in the middle of the night and just cry. I will be there. I don't turn my back on my friends."

I placed my paw on top of hers and she looked down at them and then at me with a small smile as a single tear dropped from her left eye. "I know Kyle and out of all my friends I trust you the most. Give me some time and I'll tell you about it."

I nodded once then asked "Do you still want to walk for awhile?" She nodded and I jumped up and helped her to her feet. Then I stopped suddenly my ears twitching.

"Sarah do you hear that?" I asked softly. My voice was calm but inwardly I was freaking out. I turned toward the source of the noise to see a kid stranded on a tree that had grown up near the jungle gym. "Oh my goodness! We have to go help him." I nodded and together we started on our way towards the tree.

I started to rapidly climb the jungle gym while the parent on the otherside of the tree was trying to keep the kid calm and didn't notice us. I made my way to the top of the jungle gym and stopped to catch my breath my muscles screaming in protest. The tree wasn't sturdy enough to support the young ferret's weight and it was beginning to rock back and forth with the wind.

"Sarah grab my tails!" I said and she did bringing out her claws for good measure while maintaing her balance. I winced but wrapped my tails tightly around her wrists while I reached for the ferret. I managed to grab him just as the tree was falling and together Sarah and I fell to the ground. I landed hard on my back and laid there for a few seconds stunned.

The young ferret was safe in my arms but it felt like my chest was crushed. His mom rushed over and grabbed him and I tried to move but my body screamed in protest. "S-sarah are you ok?" I said and she moved to stand over me. "Of course! Cats always land on their feet you silly fox." she said grinning down at me.

I reached up my paw and she tugged me to my feet. I grunted and then straightened up with my back making a loud POP. Sarah winced then said "Lets head back to my place. I have ice cream." I nodded and once we escaped the many thanks of the Mom we made our way back to Sarah's car.
