Fame and fangirls
Koba, famous bonobo actor from such roles as "planet of the humans", has had enough of his crazy fanbase. (see what a did there heh heh.)
Lopori can't believe who's just moved into her sleepy hometown.
Koba threw his
shoulder bag onto his back and breathed deeply through his nose, catching his
raised eyebrow frown in the mirror. He sighed at the bonobo looking back, he
rarely did shop alone these days. He wished for his anonymity and normalcy to
return, just once, he left his sunglasses behind, he wanted to see the world in
full colour. Taking another tentative breath he left his reflection for now and
opened the front door, high hooting his goodbye to his flatmate and manager,
who pant hooted back. He walked with his eyes down, almost galloping to his car
and sped away into town. He took in the grey sleepiness of the Northern city
and it soothed the famous metropolitan ape, chip wrappers blew across the
ground like tumbleweeds, gorillas with gormless features were adorned with
dangling infants, yelling grufflly accented profanities at their unruly broods.
Suck a dank, lowly city, he thought, yet so perfect for his holiday home. His
break from the flashing glitz and monotony of acting, the paps following his
every move, documenting what menial task he was up to now. But even here it
seemed, if he was no careful he could be spotted and taken a picture of. And
god forbid, he got followed by a gaggle on bonobo teenagers, asking for
autographs and presenting to him. He wore sunglasses to hide his trademark
scar, the scar he "earned" getting scratched by an angered cat during his
childhood. He looked over his shoulder and almost crept on his toes when he
entered the supermarket, his trolley like a shield making a path between the
easy to stir crowds. He almost too indubiously threw his groceries into the
trolley, looking so casual and unassuming that he looked as if he was acting,
acting really very badly. His sense of freedom was teasing him, tantalising his
mind with the memories of solitude. That same sense of freedom would open its
arms to him, presenting for a warm hug of protection, but when he entered the
arms they crossed. He could never truly be safe, not now his fame was growing.
He stocked his grocery trolley with steaks, rice and protein powders, greens
and one of every fruit. He was lucky in that he could afford to lead the clean,
green body builder lifestyle, and his usual troop house held its own gym. But
while he rested in Saffordshire, Rudyrad Lake was his gym, he took to the trees
like the less wealthy of society. He had to admit though, the weights and
cardio machines of the cosy, brightly lit gym gave him the most satisfying
results. He paid with his
bank card, all the while with his head down and not maintaining eye contact
with the young gorilla serving him, she was of the age group that would most
likely recognise him in a heartbeat. Without speaking he took his food and
receipt to load his car, he could not speak too much when in hiding. His raspy,
damaged voice would make a fan's ear prick from a mile away, many casting
directors were enamoured with his voice and fought amongst themselves to grab
him as their main villain or anti-hero. He suffered a particular case of
laryngitis as a teenager and his voice was never the same again, his voice box
was scratched to ribbons and his usual shreaking high-hoot sounded deeper and
almost humanlike. His speech was deeper too, his voice hacked and rasped out
words giving him a rough edge. His rugged, unbonobo-ness was a knee quaker for
other bonobos, particularly girls, who crushed after him with almost monogamous
intensity. Right now, his
success at a lone grocery shop, with eyes remaining uncovered and his head fur
blowing freely under no cap gave him a new sense of confidence and reality. He
smiled to himself as he unloaded the goods into his boot, with a sigh of relief
he surveyed the brown landscape and made his bravest decision yet. He left his
car behind and almost bounded, feet over hands into the town centre. He trotted
on his knuckles and soles against the grimy, cigarette littered pavement,
watching other apes pass by seemingly uncaring. Old biddies dragged wheeled
trolleys behind them, bumping into old friends on the street, grooming and reminiscing.
Their teenage grandchildren rolling their eyes and tapping their feet
impatiently. He saw an orang-utan male long calling to an orang-utan woman
across the street, his Midlands vernacular subtly accenting and shaping his
rolling booms. This was the everyday life, he thought, this was what being
normal means. This is the daily bustle he so sorely missed, it had been 2 hours
and still, no one gave him a second look or so he thought. Even if people did
look at him, he was OK as long as he didn't turn back, ignorance was bliss. It
was just as he was about to enter Next to browse through its wares, that he
became aware of faint yet speedy footsteps behind him, he carried on regardless
and purposefully ignored the approaching limbs. He felt a tap on his back, he
gulped nervously and he turned around. He huffed out his breath in
exasperation, there in a row, queueing up behind him were youngsters and young
adults all eyes wide and their chests visibly hyperventilating. He heard a
bonobo girl scream out from the crowd "Oh my god. Oh my god. WAAAAAAAA!" she
high hooted, alerting her friends who were still inside the phone shop. More
young women raced out of the store to see what was up, and then caught eyes
with the exasperated Koba, their mouths were agape like suffocating fish. One
bonobo girl with blue streaked head fur and a "Dawn of the Planet of the
Humans" t-shirt was first in the line, looking behind her at other apes in a
"you see what I see?" kind of way. "Of course", he
thought to himself rolling his eyes, it was Planet of the Humans that brought
him this surge of fame. That job offer was Pandora's glittering, Hollywood box.
Sure he loved acting in that film, and loved the research just as much. He was
a well-respected actor before, often playing anti-heroes or rugged types, and
still had a large fan base, with many of his own species lusting after him. It
was OK though, he still had some time to himself, and would be more than
flattered to be asked to sign someone's poster or t-shirt, or even, have a
particularly attractive conspecific make moves on him. But once he donned that
grey second skin, dotted with ping pong balls, acting as the conniving human
Tobias, his fans grew more rabid. Out of naïve curiosity he would type his name
into internet search engines, only to be bombarded with god-awful fanfiction of
him as himself or even as Tobias, giving bonobo handshakes to written
embodiments of the 14 year old authors. Whole forums dedicated to his worship
where loners would share photographs of their stalker bedrooms, each inch of
wall plastered with his muscular image. His face as various characters kept
them warm at night in the form of duvets. Cardboard cut-outs of his more recent
human character litter their landings. It was overwhelming and after a day of
car crash reading, he decided it was best to never search his name again, no
matter if vain curiosity egged him on. Another bonobo, an adult female this
time, bounded across the road not even bothering to check for cars. She was
gleaming with delight, and stopped by the curb to catch her breath. He saw her
companion, an orang-utan, watching over the commotion and smiling. He caught
eyes with him and the orang-utan just laughed and shrugged, offering his
condolences and apologies to the hounded Koba. The bonobo woman rooted through
her bag for a black felt tip pen, overcome with admiration and lust she held
out the pen to her hero and begged for his autograph. He begrudgingly obliged,
as much as it pained him, he did feel an obligation and a duty to care for his
fans. They loved him and he couldn't brush them away and get away with it, he
had a career to think about. "I'm sorry but I
have no paper. So um.. Koba? Please could you sign my chest??" He started
slightly and quizzically ogled the strange female before him, "my top, I mean!"
"Name?" he
snapped, somewhat relieved."Lopori"He took the pen
and wrote "to Lopori, lots of love, Koba! ?" Over her crop top, he could feel her rather
protruding tits underneath the pen tip and felt suddenly awkward. He thrust the
pen back into her eager hands, to hint that he had more clients waiting for him
and she should move on. "You are the best!" she cried and ran back across
blindly, keeping her feet bipedal flapping her hands and laughing and screaming
back to the orang-utan. The orang-utan looked pleased for her. And once again
the juvenile who screamed before, once again shouted "Oh my god" as if she was
still questioning her own beliefs. The blue haired girl asked for a selfie with
him, and he could almost make out a whimper under her breath while she held the
iphone in front of them, he placed a hand on her shoulder so he could get close
enough to be in the shot. He gave his best actor's smile, his annoyed teeth
still bared slightly and his eyes did not crease. The young girl did not notice
this however, as she was already audibly whimpering with excitement and nerves,
"I can't believe it, what are you doing here??" her question was drawn out and
was carried by a heavy breath. "Travelling" he replied nonchalantly, still
faking a smile. "Wow" she then
gasped, and ran back to her clan of giggling, squealing apes, bonobos and
gorillas both. He proceeded to selfie, sign and small talk with the young
congregation, males asking for manly hug pats and telling him how awesome he
is, females just screamed. And bonobos of all sexes presented themselves low
and crooned about his rugged attractiveness. All the while Koba cursed the
powers that once again punished his moment of confidence, he just wanted to be
home, to feign normality for as long as he can. He had only 2 months before his
next interview in London and he had yet to live a moment of peace amongst the
public. He armed and legged it back to his car, his shoulder bag thwacking him
in his thighs making quite a racket. Others looked at the running bonobo in
questioning, but he was too fast for them to study his features fully, to stop
him yet again. He started the engine to his car and as the air conditioning
kicked in, he breathed deeply after his run and closed his relieved eyes for a
short while. He looked forward to watching the humans and gibbons even more,
they had no clue who he was other than a regular friendly face. The humans only
care for each other, not for him, who on earth is Koba? He saw the chesty young
bonobo and the orang-utan again, they walked to their car and spoke to
eachother with enthusiasm but he didn't hear their words. The car was directly
diagonal to his, so he lowered his head and pressed his face against his arms
over the steering wheel, faking sleep and hiding yet again. He lifted his head
when he heard the engine start, and then left the car park feeling very
defeated. "Ugh, what a day"
Koba groaned as soon as he entered the house, he threw his grocery bags onto
the porch floor followed by his shoulder bag. "Got spotted?" sing songed his
chimpanzee manager from the kitchen, somewhat amused at his client's dramatic
entrance and lack of greeting. "It was all going so well!" whined Koba and he
lowered himself heavily onto the sofa and pulled his t-shirt off to cool off
from the summer sun. His manager, Rocket, ran towards the porch to pick up his
things, his client waved his hands and shook his head, "don't bother, I'll do
it myself later." Rocket nodded his head and reversed his self onto the ladders
and climbed to the middle wall chair. "What happened
exactly?" Rocket asked concerned, cocking his enquiring head to the side. Koba
sighed and tapped his foot irritated as he recollected, "I was just doing my
shopping. Managed to stroll down the high street for about 5 minutes""Uh huh, yeah?""Then all these
people followed me in a line, and some crazy bonobo woman asked me to sign her
chest."Rocket sniggered."Then this girl
kept screaming oh my gooood randomly and she was annoying as fuck. I legged it
to the car after that."He left it there,
he couldn't be bothered to go into any more detail since he was too emotionally
drained to anger himself yet again. He switched on the TV and kept it on the
kids' channels, and unwound to the colourful cheeriness of Spongebob
Squarepants and slowly fell asleep to the friendly nostalgia. Rocket, despite
his instructions otherwise, quietly put away his senior's groceries. He watched
Koba and smiled pitifully at him, yet his eyebrows furrowed, he was glad to not
be as well-known as him. He wouldn't cope half as well as Koba has this past 3
years. "What on earth is
Koba Woods doing in Longton of all places?" Exclaimed Lopori later that
afternoon once her total elation had subsided slightly. "This is hardly the
best area to live in."Batu just
shrugged, "he might just be passing through." It seemed the logical explanation
to him. "Doing grocery shopping??" she called, waving her arms around above her
head to emphasise the preposterousness. Batu sighed through pouted lip in
thought, trying to solve the mystery so Lopori would stop talking for once, "he
could have family here?" Lopori nodded, "that makes sense." As much as it
made sense, the memory of bumping into such a prolific name in her small home
town was too much to wrap her head around. She shook and grinned open mouthed
when she played back the memory, his strong black hand holding her pen, writing
his name against the cloth on her chest. She spend the day hugging her crop top
tight under her arm like a security blanket. Reminding Batu every 5 minutes
that he had written on it, just to make sure he doesn't forget. Batu was
growing impatient and would snap and yawp that he really did not care, before
ruffling the hair on her sneeped little head when he regretted it."Koba Woods was
in town, Batu, GODDAMN TOBIAS FROM PLANET OF THE HUMANS. RIGHT OUTSIDE
SUPERDRUG." She cried out suddenly moments after discussing his possible
relatives living nearby. "Christ on a bike, Pori, I know. I saw him remember??"
he moaned, holding out his pleading arms towards her. "I know!" she squeaked,
almost birdlike in pitch. She dived on Batu's lap and wrapped his cape of
orange fur around herself, and snuggled down. "He's fit as fuck isn't he?" She
cooed, Batu slapped his palm against his forehead, "I honestly can't say, Pori,
you know, considering I'm an orang-utan." Lopori just giggled and wriggled
around like an excited toddler, tangling up the orang-utan's shoulder hair.
Batu held his thick grey hands around her neck and shook her in mock
strangulation, "calm down woman!" he growled through greeted teeth, then jabbed
her with his fingers in jest. She meeped and jumped from ticklishness, "sorry
Batu can't help it!" she gasped through giggles. She spun around so she was
facing him and grabbed her best friend's cheeks, maintaining serious eye
contact. "Guess what!""Whaaaaaat""I got Koba's
autograph!" It was then that
Batu laughed in frustration and threw the annoying bonobo onto the floor roughly,
Lopori play faced at him, her cheeky lower fangs poking above her lip. She
dived onto his knee again and held his fun face flaps "I'll shut up now,
promise." She got off his lap and proceeded to plat his arm cape as she often
did to relax, and although she made a vow to not rave about Koba again, she
couldn't help but beam and giggle once in a while. Her mood was high and
playful, often glancing at Batu with a smirk on her face, he would then roll
his eyes and carry on what he was doing. She had plans to go to watch the
Twycross humans the next day, and that was already a source of excitement, she
couldn't wait to tell little Tamsin about her encounter with the famous. She had to admit,
she was a shameless Koba fangirl. Hadn't known much about him prior to Rise of
the Humans, but his role as Tobias made her want to do more research. It took
months however to courageously kill the magic of the motion capture, not
wanting to see the true face of the humans on screen. She found Tobias's actor
to have quite an eager following already, and it wasn't hard to see why, as
well as playing some of the best roles in cinema (mainly British gangsta films)
he also had the looks to bowl over any hot blooded bonobo. Rugged, muscular,
large and had naturally straight, slicked back head fur that showed his strong
facial features. He had strange coloured eyes, light green like a human and one
had a healed over injury. He did not reveal to anyone how he got that scar,
most fans mused that it could be something really cool or from a fight, and
that he'd rather not go there. Little did anyone of them know, including
Lopori, that it was the silliest accident you could think of. His pet cat did
it! Lopori, like many fangirls and boys before her, bought posters and DVDs and
merchandise and wrote cheesy fanfiction (none of which Lopori dared to share).
She never just liked anything, she had to become madly obsessed with it, a
feature she shared with her autistic brother. She slept unsoundly and
agitatedly that night, excited to be at the zoo soon and reeling happily at
that day's events. Through the night she turned on her lamp upon moments of
waking to stare once again at her crop top autograph. Her mind was on its
highest volume, and her body did not grant her wish to sleep until the early
hours were creeping more and more into the morning. Koba waited for
Rocket to get into the car so he could get out of here, at least for today. He
tapped the dashboard impatiently and glanced at the radio clock. He hadn't an
appointment to keep, only a keenness to leave before the mid-morning rush, he
hated the traffic during the school run. Finally he grew too impatient and went
back to his front door and shouted in to the living room,"Rocket?""Yeeeesss?""I'm going to go
on my own if that's cool.""Oh, uh, you
going to be OK?"Koba paused for a
second, bit his lip and nervously pondered the question before coming to an
unsure decision, "yes, I'll be fine. Seeya this evening then!" They both high
hooted and pant hooted to eachother before Koba yet again took off into the
volatile normal world. Rocket was secretly relieved that he wasn't required to
shadow his client on this trip, he craved some me-time of his own. He sloped
back off to bed for that rare, precious lie in. Lopori had set up
camp as soon as she entered the human house, set up her tripod and camera,
lined up toys on the window sill for any curious human infants that might pass
by. She sat crouched and comfortable, her small legs splayed either side of her
torso and her arms wrapped under them and joined at the fingers. The humans
were picking at scraps of food left over from Elevenses that morning, the
elderly female was combing her fingers through her son's bushy hair'd scalp.
Children wrestled around them, and the Matriarch of the family was wadging
fibrous fruit and looking at the lump of fibre on the edge of her tongue.
Lopori smiled amused at this, the female human seemed so very entertained by
the pile of pith. Her adolescent son, Kieran, sat very close, hovering his
curious face within a hair's distance of hers. Seemingly begging some of the
surely tasteless wadge of fruit in his mother's mouth. She then scanned the
interior of the enclosure until she saw the hay-hugging child, she was at her
usual spot in the infant's play den where she was kept as a baby. Tamsin was
her favoured Juvenile of the human family, and the juvenile got to know Lopori
too and as the day drew to a close, Lopori would sit patiently until Tamsin
would totter over to the window. She always held a bale of hay in her arms as a
comfort blanket, a low ranking and anxious little girl, she didn't play with
other kids much and instead preferred to sit close to the elderly Margaret.
Margaret did not show much enthusiasm for the presence of the juvenile, but
tolerated her in a way that felt safe and consistent to Tamsin. And she even
got a head groom from the aged human on the odd occasion, Margaret was a
compulsive nit-picker. The focused comfort that Lopori now found herself in
felt like she was at home, sitting idly on her bed playing online, so at home
in fact that she absentmindedly started to groom herself and let the straps of
her jumpsuit dangle down her shoulders slightly. She pretended she was being
groomed by Margaret. During the
filming of Koba's recent blockbusters, he had to spend a lot of time studying
and observing the behaviour of humans. How they eat, how they walk, how they
play, how they vocalise. He got to know these humans bit by bit, day by day,
grew to love them even. Even his good friend and fellow actor Maurice, an
orang-utan tasked with playing a human female, had become fond of his character
inspiration. He no longer had any need to study the creatures, not now poor
Tobias had been killed off by the head human. But he was not here to study
them, he just wanted to relax and wind down. This was the place where he could,
mostly, forget his fame and feel anonymous. He stood a little aback, just
against the wall of the giant tortoise enclosure, aware of a young bonobo woman
also watching the humans. She was ungracefully sat in a bundle, her left leg
cocked high with her wriggling foot against her shoulder, picking at the fur on
her thigh. She dressed in a simple, sporty, sleeveless jumpsuit with its straps
hanging less than modestly off her shoulders. He stifled a giggle at her
intense self-grooming concentration and kept his eyes forward, his gaze fixed
on the humans. Lopori could feel
the presence of another ape behind her, so quickly lowered her leg and stopped
grooming with such vigour. She did not turn around though, afraid to find a
laughing stranger. She rested her head on her arms now, her knees drawn close
to her belly. She sighed slightly when the ever-cute, female baby whose name
was yet unknown, writhed around in her father's curious arms, her large brown
eyes dotted about their sockets, still watching the world anew. The dad
accidentally dropped the bouncing infant and the infant cried, her mother came
to the rescue and bared her angered teeth at the man. He was now crouched in
apology, and she gently stroked his face to forgive him. The baby broke free
from her mother's protective grasp and crawled to her father, forgetting the
incident. Lopori laughed and felt compelled to speak to whoever stood behind,
"it's so ape like, I can imagine the mum being a bonobo, telling off one of the
men. And the way the baby looks so curious, it's amazing, their facial
expressions match our own babies". The ape behind "hummed" in agreement, but
said no more for a little while. She heard his foot and knuckle steps edging
slightly close behind, to get a closer look at the mirrored behaviour through
the glass. "I do agree, they are quite interesting." The stranger chirped,
endeared by the girl's passion. At first, he sounded like a chimpanzee, but she
could see that in the mirror he was another bonobo. "Do you visit often?" She
chatted, making small talk with the man, "sometimes." "Cool" she spat, not
having any other words to add. "Do you?" That
triggered a wave of excitement through Lopori's head."All the time! I
love humans!" She enthused, her voice a song. She saw the bonobo's reflection
in the window smile slightly, she thought she recognised him from somewhere,
but not sure where. It was hard to tell as he was wearing a baseball cap and
sunglasses. "Thought so.""hehe I do nerd
out a bit." She admitted bashfully. The male sat down
beside the female, but keeping a respectable distance, and at the same time the
Matriarch of the humans sat on the lap of her mate. He kissed her neck and
shoulders. Lopori glanced to the side to get a clearer look at the bonobo, his
physique was impressively muscular and well kept, his side burns were thick and
from what she could see of his face, he was attractive. She noticed a large
patch of fur missing from his forearms, and saw a slight bald patch above the
collar of his t-shirt, his familiarity was growing. Her mind was fixing the
puzzle, all the pieces fitted together slowly and she didn't notice her own
staring. He glanced at her with a mix of puzzlement and anxiety, then it
clicked, and she could have sworn her heart stopped. Her eyes darted back at
the glass, twice in two days? It can't be. Her heartbeat restarted, this time
at double the speed, she sweated and he could sense her bubbling excitement.
"Are, are you..?" She sputtered, now looking at his dusty hand foot, grasping
and ungrasping agitatedly. "Yes I'm Koba
Woods." He sighed, somewhat sadly, "yes you can have a selfie." He snapped, his
usual actor's composure dissolved by the false sense of security he found
himself falling for before. His voice rasped more deeply than usual, his
disappointment growled through his humanlike voice. "No no, that's not what I
want." Lopori stressed. "Oh?" "You signed my
t-shirt yesterday, thankyou by the way!" Koba looked the
fan up and down, he recognised her now, it was chest girl. "Sorry to snap. And
yeah, that's ok, you're welcome." He regained his cool and smiled politely to
her. She stared at him still, "I really admire your work." She breathily cooed,
flattering him. He shrugged and tutted, "I know." Atleast he thought he was
using his front. The novelty of talking to this famous ape urged Lopori to go
on conversing, "I bet you get sick of hearing it, huh?" She felt somewhat
guilty now, he was wearing sunglasses for a reason. Koba's shoulders suddenly
slouched, it was the only answer that Lopori needed. Still shaking, and still
in awe she said nothing else and gave a half smile of apology before carrying
on quietly watching the humans for a little while longer. Koba did not leave,
but he resumed his knuckle stood stance, less relaxed than before, and didn't
look directly at his fan. The human pair
had mated since the apes' conversation, and Koba sniggered slightly. Lopori did
not, she was too afraid to share her amusement with him. She started to pick at
her arm fur in shy self-grooming. Koba looked at her for a second, he wished
she did not recognise him, not because he was annoyed at her show of
sycophancy. But their casually friendly small talk became awkward silence, the
woman felt submissive in his presence but he was ape too. He could gel with
everyday apes too, besides, many fellow celebrities were obnoxious divas
anyway. With the exception of Maurice, of course. "Really going at
it weren't they?" The nervous fan giggled. "You could say that" replied Koba
flatly, still wondering if the girl was pandering or genuinely making small
talk. "I've seen orang-utans take less time!" She then joked, remembering Batu
and his recent rendezvous with his consort. A small smirk lifted from the
corner of Koba's mouth, flashing a tooth. Her heart fluttered again, she made
her hero smile. "May I ask, why you are in the Midlands, and not somewhere
flashy like London or America?" The question has bugged her since he signed her
shirt yesterday, she watched his shaded face, annoyed somewhat what she
couldn't give any direct eye contact. He took a deep
breath, realising the naivety of what he was about to say, "to get away from
so-called flashy places. I hoped that if I spent my time off somewhere smaller
and quieter, I wouldn't get hounded so much." Unbeknownst
to Lopori, his eyes shifted downwards with frustration and he huffed through
his tightly held lips, "it made no difference." He said little but he carried
the disappointment, frustration and exasperation with clarity, Lopori nodded
sympathetically and then bit her lip. "I'm sorry for being creepy yesterday, I
was overcome." She grimaced apologetically with these words, her body language
almost pleading. "It's OK, atleast you're aware." He reassured her, though he
still did not feel he could 100% trust her, not yet. People have been too nice
before, and then spread his secrets like they were a hot commodity, and he
silently cursed himself for being to open now towards the girl who cried out
for him to sign her tit. Lopori cringed and winced through her teeth, also
remembering asking him to sign her chest, what a creep, what a gross fangirl I
am. "What is it?" He
turned to her, seeing her physical discomfort. "I'm a creep. I'm
so embarrassed.""Eh, I've seen
worse.""No, that doesn't
excuse it. I'd hate for you to think I was a stalker or something, I'm not, I
swear. You're basically my hero, I don't want you to get the wrong idea." Her
speech was urgent, panic stricken, he really was her hero, and she really did
care what he thought. He had to admit he was flattered, as common as this
moment was, this time he did feel special and important. He meant something to
people. "I get it
already!" He cried, then giving her a friendly "ok" sign. Her heart stopped
again, his hand was so close, and she gulped and tensed. But tried to hide it,
she had a feeling he disliked reverence. Koba questioned
the possibility of removing his cap and sunglasses, he argued with himself, the
accessories made him invisible and invincible. Was he really able to expose
himself for this girl? He waited it out, sitting silently again, using the
human watching as an excuse to give his mind time to bicker. Tamsin was by the glass
now, hay bale still in her arms, she rocked nervously looking behind her,
watching the rest of the humans amble bipedal out of the recently opened doors.
They were racing to get to the outdoor enclosure, it had been decorated with
enrichment toys and puzzle feeders as per the afternoon routine. Her swaying
calmed once the last of the humans had left, she met eyes with the beaming
Lopori. Lopori's mouth was wide open in a smile, then she closed her teeth in a
human smile, and nodded her head animatedly at the kid. The kid nodded back and
stuck her tongue out to gage a reaction from her bonobo playmate. "Oh I say
Tamsin, that's very cheeky!" She gasped in mock outrage, covering her mouth and
shaking her head. The child opened her mouth then closed the teeth, human smile
plastered on her little face. She stood up and eyed the bonobo, beckoning with
her light brown orbs for a game of chase, Lopori more than happily joined her
and they ran against the glass. The human watched intently, intelligently, to
gauge who would chase next. Lopori cooed and babbled sweet, motherly nothings
to the kid, not an ounce of showing off in their interaction. This bonobo
really was fond of these animals and Koba enjoyed watching it. "You really like
them, don't you?" Koba emphasised happily, Lopori, who still had eyes on her
human friend, started to rave. "Utterly enamoured, Koba. I discovered their
awesomeness in college, learned about Sue, the human who learned English Sign
Language. But now I see how damaging such studies can b." She took a breather,
and knocked repeatedly and gently on the glass causing Tamsin to kick it back
with her long curved foot. "And I must say, planet of the humans has only made
my passion stronger." She stopped for a second, wincing slightly, forgetting
that the subject of Koba's career was off limits. She quickly interjected her
own inner thoughts with more rambling, "I find.." she
ran across the glass followed by Tamsin, "the minds and social lives of humans
and gibbons the most fascinating.." she runs back the other way "thing about
them." She stopped her chasing abruptly, and looking his way, her face aglow
with passion. She saw his face and hair properly now, he had removed his mask.
The cap gave way for his combed back head fur, laying even flatter than usual
on his skull, his green eyes were visible too. His scar a mark of
sophistication, though she could not ask him why it's there. They were still
strangers, even if they were chatting right now. She took a sharp breath in,
taken aback by his smouldering, dark face. Damn, she could just eat him up. She
blinked rapidly to make her eye contact less invasive, he was smirking amusedly
at her. He was so very charmed and intrigued by the little game of chase
between her and Tamsin, she was a crazy little fangirl for both he and humans. "You really have
a rapport with that baby." He remarked, pointing at Tamsin who had already
retreated to her play pen since her grandfather had re-entered. "I wouldn't say
baby" she corrected automatically, "She's almost adolescent." Then her lips
shut tight, so tight they pressed against her teeth, how insolent of me, she
thought. Koba did not react with anger of course, but with laughter,
"adolescent then, m'aam." He bowed, then lifted his head up, his eyes were jovial
and creased. Lopori still felt embarrassed and bowed a little herself, though
sincerely, and her shoulders hunched and her palms were open and vulnerable.
"Damnit, I'm not the king. Don't treat me with such difference!" He reminded
her harshly yet with a friendly undertone, feeling the twang of guilt in his
gut, the garish crown of fame was still dangling over his ears. This did little
to help Lopori's situation, and she retreated further into her own subordinate
crouch. He tutted and sat down close to her and held her shoulder with one
hand, and lifted her chin with the other, "I mean it, we are all apes at the
end of the day." He was fond of this particular fangirl, he had no idea why,
but she was so agreeable. Maybe a small part of his subconscious revelled in
her difference? Did he enjoy her company, or purely the buzz of superiority? Lopori gave an
appeasing grin with teeth together, he appreciated the gesture of openness. And
smiled in that way back too, and this made the female's head spin with shock at
the friendly showing of his teeth. He wanted to be on the same wavelength, and
this only added to her awe, Koba's presence was taking her to high and heady
places. The feel of his rough skinned touch tingled from her chin and shoulders
all the way down to her toe tips, not surpassing her groin. He was one hot
motherfucker. "Can I groom
you?" She blurted suddenly, then widened her eyes in surprise at her own bold
move. She was so bold when someone turned her on. Koba nodded and motioned his
back to her, "this area needs a good going over" he suggested looking over his
shoulders and making "please" eyes. Lopori did as she was told, and shakily
reached her hands towards his rough, black fur. Her palms sweated
embarrassingly and her fingers trembled at the feel of his skin, never in a
million years did she predict grooming a star such as Koba. She was essentially
grooming Tobias himself, she smirked to herself, thinking of her own ape hands,
calming Tobias of his own hatred. Then he would have never have been pushed off
that ledge. Koba kept his t-shirt lifted up to his neck to give Lopori ample
space to groom. She often wondered if apes even needed clothes for most of the
year, they always partly or fully remove them. She imparted small sections of his
fur, and picked any spec she could find, of which there were few and he smelled
of soap and deodorant. She discretely sniffed in his scent, soap interlaced
with the dark, heady stank of the male bonobo. The smelled travelled down her
nasal passage ways and fell directly between her legs. Now aching to touch and
explore more of his muscular, famous body. She picked and imparted at the fur,
wiping any spec onto the bark chipping floor, working her way down to the side
of his hips near the thigh, picking ever so slower now. Purposely lingering,
but stopped herself when she feared she was coming on to hard. Yes, bonobos do
worry about such things. She motioned her
leg to Koba, scratching hard as was the gesture for grooming. "Sure thing" he
purred, so chilled from his back massage. He groomed her leg, feeling the
thick, even fur she was coated with. He liked the healthiness of her hair, it
was lush and glossy, he picked at it with his lips and fingers. He could feel
Lopori tense and twitch as he picked, and stopped for a split second, scared
that she was feeling nervous in is kingly presence again. He looked eyebrows
furrowed at Lopori's face, which did not emanate subordinance, but sheer bliss.
And when she peered at him, he saw a spark in her eyes, a slightly parted play
face crossed her lips. He recognised that expression, but did not bring up the
issue yet, preferring to test the waters with more compromised grooming
direction. He felt his fingers through her thigh fur, while sparser is was
still plentiful and glossy, he kind of envied her. He moved his fingers to her
stomach, cleaning and sometimes just randomly combing the sparser coat. He did
need to manoeuvre around her one piece outfit a bit to reach the parts that
Lopori wanted groomed. She now picked through his head and arms at the same
time, hardly believing her luck. She looked at the top of Koba's head, and felt
its closeness to hers, his ragged left ear brushing gently against her arm when
his face moved to get a better angle on her abs. She wanted to bonobo handshake
with him so bad, she was throbbing for him, it almost hurt. She sucked the air
through her teeth nervously, hoping that he would be the one to initiate. He
was dominant after-all, and dominant bonobos tend to call the shots with fucking.
He may have tried to create an even keel between them, to remind himself that
he was still normal, still just an ape.Yet inside he
knew that he was still her career superior, he had the upper hand. Did he enjoy
this fact? Not really, but a part of him carried on urging him on to act like
the dominant bonobo he was, and ask her for her to pleasure him. He had the
passionate fangirl wrapped around his little finger, and his inner narcissist
reared its ugly head, feeling utterly powerful. He managed to ignore it so far,
fame had fucked him over and he was not the same down to earth northerner he
was born as. He fought his narcissism and proceeded to interact with Lopori as
a total equal. "Wanna go to my
car and get some food?" He asked the now wild Lopori, her pupils dilated like
disks. "Sure" she breathed, very terribly hiding her bonobo lust for him. They
galloped through the zoo, passed the gibbons, Koba waved to a gorilla who
manned the till whom he knew well. The gorilla waved back and winked at him.
Koba took out his highly priced, state of the art cool box out of the boot of
his car and laid its contents out onto the lawn where they parked. Fruit, cold
roast chicken and salad, quite a healthy spread. Good thing it wasn't Koba's
cheat day, or else he'd be too groggy to bother with handshakes. The bounty
before them brought about primal, deep routed needs to work out the order of
the feast. Who go what, and when, the same social instinct that despite the
intelligent, urban world of the higher primates, was always present in this
species' nature. They two bonobos glanced at each other briefly before Lopori
took off her jump suit and pants to reveal her hirsute, skinny body underneath.
It looked delicate yet strong, Koba liked that. He removed his green chinos and
plain t-shirt, his taught pecs and abs rippling slightly as he tensed and
relaxed them. He lay down on his back, casually, somewhat dominantly, giving
the wrist twist gesture to the eager and aching Lopori. She virtually dived for
him, his pink tapered cock now standing upright, twitching. She wrapped her
tongue around the throbbing tip, and licked around it with dexterity, he
squeaked happily but still kept his overall cool. She did not like his casual
attitude so sucked him off harder now, fitting the wagging, boned dick all the
way in her mouth. Pulling at it with the force of her sucking. Koba found it
harder to maintain casualness and squeaked more now, interspersed with moans in
his gruff voice. Sending shivers down Lopori's ears and spine. He writhed and
twitched his hips, gripping at the grass with his tough, grey fists. Lopori
wiped the drool and precum from her mouth and sit atop his aching cock and
lowered herself until he entered her. Her legs were apart and she held herself
upright on the palms of her hands. She slid up and down his pink pole and
varied the speed a bit, feeling the long, hardness brushing against the walls
of her vagina. It twitched and wavered inside her and she felt every movement,
she had no idea how humans mated with no bone in their dick. Koba took a peach
from the picnic spread and whilst moaning and squealing, took juicy, messy
bites from his fruit. Savouring the sweetness of the peach while feeling the
horny, rather sexy, fangirl use him as her toy was a match made in heaven. She
let out a loud, orgasmic, even boastful squeal before she left him, letting the
cum flow from his trembling penis and onto his sweaty, hirsute abs before his
dick retreated back to its small, flaccid state. She felt her legs
twitch and her muscles weaken, she let out a playful giggle and took a leg of
chicken and proceeded to eat it, the food was shared evenly, and they spoke and
gesticulated about their everyday lives. Koba purposely still avoided the
subject of his acting career and fame, he just wanted to enjoy the feeling of
an even interaction. Even if he felt the satisfaction of being pleasured by
Lopori. Speaking of which, their meeting was only so amiable with a good
fucking now and then, it wasn't long before Koba's dick made another
appearance. Raising and virtually beckoning for his female friend, she turned
her back to him this time and lay down and on her elbows, a breadstick still
not yet finished in her hand. Hay atop of her, elevating himself on his hand
and thrusting into her pink, inviting twat. Overcome with a mixture of
sensuality and power, he licked and kissed her shoulder and ear, using his
tongue as an instrument of sensual torture on her erogenous skin. He nibbled
gently on her cute, round ear, hearing her peeps and moans next to his face,
still taking bites of breadstick. He pulled out sooner this time, letting his
cock cool down before he went for another round, he fondled it as she changed
positions, flicking her own clit in-between. He sat on his hands with his legs
parted, she jumped onto his lap and wrapped her legs around him, one strong arm
pressed against the floor, one around his neck. He gasped with sensitivity as
he entered him with the speed and force she did, she finished him off with a
good speedy bang, and he came inside her. The coldness felt good inside her,
she squealed yet again as he removed himself. Not only did he feel good against
her, but it was who he was that was making her wild with lust, he was Koba for
crying out loud. They tongue kissed inbetween short spurts of conversation and
bites of fruit and salad, transferring the sweet taste of peach and strawberry
into the other's mouth, the intimate swapping of details, and the budding of
new friendship. Yes, she wanted Koba to consider her her friend, they got on
well, they had much in common, and their sexual chemistry was bubbling and
fizzing, almost explosive. In their happy
state Koba felt not a hint of cynicism, no guilt at fooling his fan that he's
at all a nice person. It wouldn't be until later that evening that the feelings
of doubt and insecurity would creep back into his brain, until then, he was
just having fun. He drove her home, which was a godsend for the travel phobic
Lopori, she really did hate the slowness of train travel. She listened to the
metal mixtape that Koba played on his ipod, bobbing her head to the genre she
could have sworn she usually hated. But sod it, she danced anyway, danced at
the joy of hopefully building a rapport with her favourite actor. With Tobias.
