[5] EOP Profile - Arctic-Cat
#5 of Arctacia Mythos
[BEGIN LOG]
We recently switched to a better system for handling logs. This should prevent any artifacts from coming over any audio, text, or video we record now.
Anyway, that dream that I had reminded me of something from my past. I think I remember that happening, and yet it's just...hard...to remember. I began digging around some more and came across this profile. Somehow I think this has something to do with the dream. I don't know how exactly since they seem worlds apart. Time will tell, I know. Just have to slowly piece this all together and hope it helps with my memory. So much is lost to me...
Well, from what I gather from this profile, it seems this "Arctic-Cat" fellow was something bizarre for what they call a "human". Humans being the race that inhabited a planet called "Earth". Arctic-Cat was classified as something beyond the norm and I can see why. That name also sounds familiar. I do want to talk to Kovux more about this...but he's been busy trying to keep our cover. Bit of a story to that. But, I'll take it one step at a time. Getting side tracked here...
So, this Arctic-Cat must play some important role to the start of this whole story that's slowly unraveling. I think I'll try to follow him for a bit and see where it goes.

Notes: [Original entry, populated all relevant values, 6/8/2037, 14:22 EDT by EOP J Edmund] - We admitted XE-023-7221 into our ranks today as general support for electronics and basic computer equipment. We have been watching this one for awhile when we learned of his skills in other companies for the past few years. Interestingly enough, he has come out of nowhere and not much is known of his past or origins, which is a bit unnerving. I guess I'm not sure whether to be thrilled or concerned. It's hard to ignore this abilities, though and I'd rather he put those abilities to use for us more than anyone right now. The smell of war is in the air.
[6/8/2037, 15:10 EDT by EOP S Wyre] - Not sure I'm fond of having someone of such mysterious origins on our force, Edmund. Why can't we find anything on this guy? I don't like it at all.
[6/8/2037, 15:22 EDT by EOP J Edmund] - I understand the concerns surrounding him. I had to assign him to something that was relevant to his skills, and he is impressively good with computers.
[6/8/2037, 15:30 EDT by EOP S Wyre] - Yes, which is why I'm concerned.
[6/8/2037, 15:48 EDT by EOP J Edmund] - This is why I'm having him just handle our non-critical systems right now. If in theory he were to try something, it would be small scale at best and not affect anything more than that. I'm still trying to figure out some back ground on this guy too. I think some answers will reveal themselves in time.
[5/12/2038, 9:32 EDT by EOP J Edmund] - This guy has been with us nearly a year and has been doing very well. We must get him ready for what's to come.
[5/26/2038, 12:11 EDT by EOP J Kertzkin] - I have completed a deep psychological evaluation of Arctic-Cat in hopes to explore his past and the oddities surrounding him. I really wanted to do this sooner but, oh well. Always busy with something. Anyway, I found some pretty interesting things on him:
Seems his memories just stop at a certain point. It's like he never had a life before his early 20's. Anything before that is blank...nothing. As if he suffered memory loss or...well...I can only imagine. As such, there is simply no way to find out his origins in this manner. This intrigues me, but has definitely set in an unnerving feeling about it as well.
- He seems to have mental patterns and emotions that reflect...well...both genders. It's like his feelings and thoughts about things are well balanced. Physically we can see he's a male, but mentally...he's...not really either...but I guess both. He just doesn't fit any stereotype other than being...almost alien if I dare say. Furthermore, his thoughts are well organized and his ability to think and imagine things seems to be so large scale compared to the average person. It's almost like he can feel out and live those thoughts in his own mind.
- Arctic-Cat has...reservations about feeling like he belongs here, and I don't mean to EOP itself. It's actually about his place on Earth itself. He feels like an outsider, different from everyone else. No doubt considering nobody, not even himself, knows where he came from or why. Though, I'm thinking this is a sincere and truthful statement.
This guy has a strange aura about him that I begin to realize the more time I spend with him. It's so uplifting, comforting, and vibrant. It's hard to feel negatively around him at all.
That about highlights my findings. As odd as he may seem, I have seen these kinds of patterns in a few other individuals as well over time. The only big difference is their origins were no mystery. I'm making a sub note on the next topic.
*** ["Human-XE" label added by EOP J Kertzkin] - I'm thinking there is a chance he may belong to the Human-XE faction. If so, then it's good we found him as he'll fit right in with the rest. And to support my theory, allow me to recount some traits of Human-XE's:
Feel secluded from other humans, outcast, not feeling as if they even belong on Earth. See themselves as potentially being alien or of alternate origins than a human and/or from Earth.
No gender bias as far as emotions and feelings go. They are very well balanced and sometimes may show an extreme from one gender or the other, but not often.
- Have a very caring and loving nature to them. They tend to make others around them feel very welcome. Also have an odd tendancy to draw out trust from others on a more rapid pace than an average person normally could. On a personal note, I have to agree. These humans are definitely someone to trust and would in a heartbeat over a regular human. They are very genuine about their word on things.
Possess odd energies about them. Not sure what these are yet. Managed to get a few to mention it's almost like chaneling a spiritual or natural energy they seem to be able to tap or have access to. It's almost like they can do some minor manipulations to things around them if they become aware enough of these energies.
Strong communication skills. They really have a way to understand you and provide advice, facts, thoughts, and opinions. They try to be as clear as possible when they interact.
Very open-minded. They are usually up for trying new things, understanding new ideas. Even if there is a conflict in ideas, they like to see all sides to something before they judge or express feelings on it. Very tolerable of ideas and views of others.
- Tend to be very intelligent, wise, and mature for their age compared to others in their age group. Basically, they grow up mentally quicker than the average person would.
*** [End of notes for "Human-XE" label ammendment]
So, all in all, Arctic-Cat is an incredible being. We definitely have been seeing an evolution here in human beings. Though, I worry it may be a bit too late. War has been brewing with China for the past couple years and things are not looking good right now. I need to present this to Jeff. If Arctic-Cat is truly one of us, we must protect him at all costs. Perhaps he's something even greater, though...
[5/28/2038, 10:02 EDT by EOP J Edmund] - I am convinced getting Arctic-Cat was a wise decision. I will retain his file for Project Centauri. I think it's time we consider leaving soon...
[7/3/2038, 12:06 EDT by EOP J Edmund] - It's happened. The Great War has begun. We must leave this place and gather all equipment, data, and personel that we can. I am closing Arctic-Cat's file and taking him with us. I will cut any further updates here and migrate profiles to a new system at our new destination. We are leaving this planet... farewell.
