"So, you prefer the sonic vibration method, hmm?"
"I admit, it's a bit slow, but it's got a build-up that even my Dream Machine can't resist."
"I wouldn't know; don't know what the hell this Dream Machine is -"
"Who, please. Who."
"Who, then. But I gotta say, nothing's good enough to stand up to this baby."
Vassk hefted his weapon, smiling at it as the rabbit supervillain rolled his eyes. It didn't bother him; the two of them had been comparing mind control methods for the last half hour, and he'd done the same gesture just as many times. The alien shapeshifter spun it around like he'd seen a few stars do in the earth movies, then laid it back on a nearby shelf.
"Even managed to get one of those supers with it. Didn't work quite right, though; something fizzled upstairs, and I got something more braindead than a robot."
"Well, that's why you do it MY way."
"Oh please. One good EMP and you're toast. At least I have stuff that doesn't get fried so easily."
"Well, that's why we're both here, isn't it?"
True enough, Vassk thought as he looked into his bag. The two of them had broken into the warehouse at almost the exact same time. It was a little tense at first, but when they realized they were after different components with the same basic use, they'd put things aside.
And then they'd gotten talking. Vassk had to admit, he liked the rabbit. Not so much as the few people he'd kept on his ship during his forays around the planet, but enough to put up with him, and even laugh a couple of times. It wasn't often that an earthling could keep up with his techno-jargon, so he'd enjoy it while he could.
Putting another piece of hardware in his loot sack, he looked over his shoulder.
"What is this Dream Machine you keep going on about, anyway?"
"Oh, just one of the heroes around here."
"Gotta be more than that; come on, tell me."
"Well, he's..." The rabbit laughed. "He's kind of my rival. At least, I flatter myself to think he is. I almost had him last month, you know? Tied up, completely controlled. Even was getting a back-door hacking route into his head."
"Cyborg?"
"Kinda. But he got away; back-hacked me."
"Heh, you'll have to show me this guy. I wanna see what some of my stuff can do."
"Not if I beat you to it!"
"How about I just beat you both down and take you to jail, where you belong?"
Vassk whipped around, his weapon off of the table and in his hand in the space of a second. Technodood, the rabbit, was nearly as fast, holding some sort of remote control in his hand. The two of them went wide-eyed at what stood in front of them.
A mule, of all things, but one covered in red and blue stripes and splotches. He wore nothing more than a speedo that did nothing to hide his endowment, and more to the point, Vassk knew him.
"You!"
"Wait a second, you know him?"
"He's the one I zapped -"
"You zapped MY rival?"
"It was in the middle of a job."
"Still -"
"I hate to interrupt, but you are both busted. Will you surrender?"
Neither Vassk or Technodood bothered answering, save to raise their respective devices. A blast of light shot out from Vassk's weapon, while a visible wave of sound shot out of the remote that the rabbit held. Both hit the hero at the same time, freezing him in place. Vassk groaned.
"Great. Now he's dealing with two opposing signals."
"That's easy to solve. All you have to do is let yours die out and let mine take him over."
"What, so you can start fiddling with his insides? No thanks. I want first crack at him."
"But you just got here. I've been trying to get him for months!"
"Yeah? And who's had their probe up his ass first?"
"You've done that?! That's it, he's mine!"
The mule was just beginning to wake up when they both blasted him again, and the glare between the alien and the rabbit intensified as they held out their control devices. They kept blasting at the mule, the powerful signals battling each other for supremacy in the mule's not quite completely biological brain.
Vassk could see that the transformative nature of the mule was coming into play, as well. The body was starting to twist, colors changing here and there, and the already strong muscle alternated between bulking up and disappearing.
The signals are messing with his internal programming; gonna have to end this quick.
Keeping up the blasting, he loomed over the rabbit, glaring at him.
"I'm not debating this. This thing -"
"Don't call him a thing! He's my rival. Dream Machine is MY machine to play with."
"Whatever. I'm taking him with me."
"Not if I can help it!"
Vassk barely saw the rabbit's hand going down, but he knew that the villain was reaching for another device. And as he didn't have a second weapon, he was in trouble. With a hard grunt, he shoved the smaller rabbit into a set of shelves before running around to the other side of the mule.
Well, partially mule. He wasn't red and blue anymore, and he definitely wasn't so equine, either. He swore that the hero's skin felt almost wet as he got behind him, pumping a few blasts of his mind-control gun into the back of the hero's head.
This can't be good for you, but I need to keep the signal from getting overwhelmed.
"Cover me!"
He had meant it as a simple command for the mule to stay in front of him, but the hero's mind must have been more swarmed with signals than he thought. Instead of running with him, the transforming hero turned around and tackled him to the ground. Vassk groaned as the hero covered him up, shielding him from the next few blasts of the rabbit's sonic mind-blasts.
Ugh...this is not going according to plan.
The alien shifted out of his lizard-like form, becoming momentarily a ball of light before transitioning back again once he was out from under the hero. He grabbed his gun, but was forced to take cover before he could make another move, darting behind another set of shelves.
"Isn't this getting a bit ridiculous?!"
"I thought we were getting along, but noooo. You go behind my back, trying to sneak off with him? Ain't gonna happen."
"I just want -"
A blast of sonic energy nearly hit him in the head, and Vassk groaned. It looked like there wasn't going to be any way out of this except by fighting. He leaned around the corner, firing off a few shots of his own. A couple of them hit the hero on the ground - who was looking much more like an orca than an equine at this point - while the rest scattered off of pieces of metal arranged around the rabbit.
They fought with the hero between them for far longer than Vassk was comfortable. Each time they got off a shot that hit the hero, he could see that things were going badly. The transformation into an orca wasn't without flaws; he could see that there were dog ears on top of the hero's head, and the tail was more cat-like than orca-like.
He looked at the power cell for his weapon. It was down to maybe six more shots.
"Can't imagine that you have too much left, rabbit."
"Maybe. What about you?"
"Six, maybe five. Truce?"
"Only if you walk away."
Considering how much this is probably affecting his head, it might be the best idea.
"Dea-"
The creature that the hero had become roared loud enough to drown him out. Vassk covered his ears, but even then the noise was painful. He landed on his knees as the hero got to his feet.
"You're both under arrest! But first, I'm going to teach you what happens when you fuck with me, by fucking with you!"
And this is why you don't mix mind control signals!
Vassk tried to get up, but the creature was too fast. Grabbing him and throwing him towards the center of the room, the alien hit the ground with a hard bang. His gun skittered out of his hand, rolling into the shadows, shortly after joined by Technodood's weapon as the rabbit landed beside him. The alien shook his head as the creature - speedo long since lost - advanced on them.
"Have you ever been fucked by him?"
"Uh...once. Twice. Maybe more."
"Is it at all fun?"
"Uh...depends on if you're a size queen."
"I'm not."
"Then no."
"That's what I was afraid of."
The orca hybrid pounced on them before either of them could get away. They were flipped onto their hands and knees, and Vassk groaned as his ass was suddenly exposed, his body armor ripped off in one fell swoop. He looked over at the rabbit, who was blushing but sweating at the same time. He imagined that they probably had the same thought, that this was going to hurt.
Vassk considered himself lucky; he got three fingers up his hole, while Technodood got that massive cock first. The alien didn't fight it; his insides were already transforming to keep it from getting too painful. The rabbit, on the other hand...
Well, Vassk imagined that maybe next time the rabbit would listen when he said not to mix the signals.
