Kid Icarus Scrapped Chapter 1
The forests of Angel Land are said to be areas of peace. Well, perhaps to the many woodland creatures that thrive there under the protection of the Forces of Nature. Humans on the other hand have learned to keep their distance from the woods out of fear of the Goddess of Nature, Viridi. In spite of her hatred towards them, she was pleased to see them keeping their distance and respecting the forests for the last half decade. However, something was off today. Several minutes ago, something radiating a great power had landed in the field not too far from That First Town. And yet, she couldn't detect exactly what it was. Overlooking the balcony of her woodland fortress, the youthful looking goddess attempted to see what kind of power was out there. And yet, something was throwing her senses off. Hearing the sound of somebody landing next to her, she opened her eyes and sighed. She didn't have to turn around to see who it was."Something up, Viridi?" A dry voice asked her. Looking at her commander, she explained "It's nothing, Dark Pit. I was just sensing something that came out of nowhere a few minutes ago. I'll get Cragalanche to go check it out.""Very well." The black haired angel replied. "This is off topic, but I've got a question for you, Viridi.""What is it?""Why do people see Pit and I as a romantic couple and-"Quick to interrupt him, Viridi argued "Dark Pit, we're going to tick off a lot of people if we talk about this again. Some things just aren't worth talking about and that's one of them!""Alright, fine." Dark Pit replied. "Wait a minute, who are we going to tick off?"Sighing, Viridi explained "Long story short, anybody reading this story. Simple as that, Dark Pit." Seeing the one winged, I mean- black winged angel take off, she watched as he flew out of the fortress, searching for the rocky commander, Cragalanche. ***Long after the fall of Hades, Dark Pit had become somewhat a bit of a lone wolf for two years. Then again, he always was ever since his creation. Granted, he was meant to be a complete clone of Pit that would serve no one other than the forces of the Underworld. However, Pit destroyed the relic that created his "dark side" before the process was complete, leaving Dark Pit nothing more than just an incomplete clone that serves no one other than himself. Although, he and Viridi shared similar agendas, so he agreed to become another commander to the Forces of Nature. Thinking about what Viridi said about some kind of power, he decided to go see what it was. Just as soon as he landed, he took it on himself to find Cragalanche the Mighty, or so Viridi called him. Probably didn't help that he could be anywhere, and any rock that got in his way could've been him. "Hey, Rocky. I could use you!" He called out sarcastically. By sheer instance, he soon detected a rock being hurled his way. He must've had a split second before he dodged the rock
with a backflip, and narrowly dodged another rock hurled in his way. Hearing the near earthquake like footsteps, only a few seconds passed before Dark Pit saw the golem Coming his way. "Viridi wants us to check out something, supposedly it's radiating some kind of power not native to this world. Are you up for it?" He asked bluntly. Given the golem's inability to speak, Cragalanche simply nodded and began to hover. "Right, I forgot you could fly." Stretching his wings, Dark Pit's glowed with a forest green as the two took off searching in the direction Viridi sensed this mysterious power.***Perhaps it was thanks to their flight capabilities, the two commanders to the Forces of Nature reached the destination of what Mistress Viridi was sensing. As the two got closer, they saw what appeared to be a simple chunk of gold. Getting closer, Dark Pit cried as he landed "Hey Viridi! Can yah hear me?""I'm a Goddess, of course I can hear you! What did you two find?" She replied.Walking up to it, Dark Pit picked up the mysterious gold and explained "Supposedly, it's some kind of gold.....and yet, I can sense some kind of power radiating from it." Thinking nothing of it, he continued "We're bring it back, perhaps you would have a better idea of what it is." Preparing to return to their base, Cragalanche stopped, and began to look around. "Somethings up, buddy?" Dark Pit asked, noticing the commander stopping in his tracks."He senses something, Dark Pit. Unfortunately, I'm sensing it too...." Viridi explained. Before anyone could react, a sphere of red energy appeared before them, the power emanating from the red sphere shaking the fields with the force of an earthquake.Attempting to stand his ground, Dark Pit stuffed the piece of "gold" into his tunic as he split his silver bow into a pair of blades. Growling, he asked "Hades, don't tell me you've returned again!" "I don't think that's Hades." Viridi exclaimed, concerned. "But whoever that is, you two need to get out of there. That kind of power I'm detecting isn't...from this world!" "Very well." He responded. His wings glowed as the two attempted to take off. Before either of them could respond, the red sphere discharged an orb of electrical energy with the force of a missile as it struck Dark Pit. Caught off guard, the darkwing du- angel recoiled as he felt hundreds if not thousands of volts of electricity course his body and hit the ground. Attempting to shrug off the pain, he and Cragalanche watched as the sphere began to take the shape of a figure with a humanoid appearance.
