It was summer noon. The air was dry, and there was no cloud in the blue sky. The perfect day if you don't have a hungover.

Angela had a sleepless night and alcohol withdrawal. The weather didn't help her. The shining sun caused her headache and migraine. It's miracle she didn't throw up.

"Stupid human and his stupid whiskey..." she mumbled to herself while she back to the barrack. She was exhausted. Three Basitins were with her: Clara and two other girls: Lisa and Anne.

"How are you feeling?" Clara asked,

"Remember when our whole squad was fighting with this idiot from the 4th squad and someone threw the rock at me?"

"You said it was the most painful moment in your life," Anne said and shook her head, "That was the stupidest idea you ever have"

"The pain I feel now is so close to that" her head was ringing, "Gah! What was in that bottle?"

"I've heard that humans make the strongest drinks. Our alcohol is like Keidran wine for them" Lisa was lying on her bed with closed eyes, "I would do anything to get my hands on them..."

"Ngh..." The pain was slowly going away and her eyes got used to brightness. Her mind was clearer too, "Wh-What is our orders?"

"You weren't on morning roll call?"

"I was too tired to understand what sergeant said"

"We don't have any. It's Sunday, dummy!" Clara patted her head, "So, anyone has any ideas what will we do today?"

Silence.

"I have an idea!" Lisa got up with an enthusiasm, "Why don't we get smashed?"

"I'm out of stamps" Clara showed empty pockets,

"Same here" Anne turned to Lisa, "You still owe me"

"I told you I give you in next month. *sigh* What about you, Angie? Got any beer?"

"Nope. Dry as the desert"

Clara didn't believe her "But your boyfriend gave you whiskey yesterday"

"H-He's not my boyfriend!"

Lisa finally show some interest, "Wait, you got a boyfriend?! Why you didn't tell us?!"

Angie was already blushing but Clara put a cherry on top, "It's a human soldier"

"What?!"

"They were on a date yesterday night"

"N-No we were not!"

"I saw you two during yesterday's incident. You showed up with him as nothing happened earlier"

The three Basitins were looking at her with 'He's her boyfriend' on their faces. Poor corporal couldn't tell the truth.

So she said half-truth, "I-I met him by accident! He apologized to me, an-and gave me whiskey. We saw the crowd surrounding the Sarge so we got closer. Th-That's all!"

"So he gave you whiskey" Lisa was interested more in alcohol than anything as usual, "Where did you hide it?!"

"It was only two bottles. He didn't give me more and trust me, I tried"

"You're his girlfriend! Just act like the Western and he will bow to your knees!"

"I'm not her girlfriend! Jeez..."

"We'll talk about your romantic life later," Anne calmed her friend down, "You told that the human... What's his name?"

"Boris"

"He had some beer left, correct?"

"The whole bag. It's probably on their ship"

"So why we just won't take it?"

"Alright, smartass. How are we gonna steal the beer from the ship full of humans?"

Meanwhile, Boris was playing poker with his friend Yuri on the cargo. Cards, tokens, and the whiskey with two cups on the table. Both soldiers went all in.

"Four aces" Yuri showed his cards,

"Fuck!" Boris threw the cards with fury, "Again?!"

"Who has no luck in the cards is lucky in love" Yuri happily drank the cup.

"Do you see me married?"

"Well, you seem to get along with that Basitan"

"They're called 'Basitin'."

"Basitan, Basitin... what's the difference?" he shuffled the card "Another round?"

"Nah, I'm broke" as she finished the drink, another guard enter their cabin,

"Boris! Some lady wants to talk with you!"

Boris and Yuri looked at each other with confusion.

"Speaking of the devil"

"I guess I should go," Boris said,

"Invite me to your wedding"

"Fuck you"

The human went to the main deck and immediately saw the Basitin soldier waiting in the port. He left the ship, "Hi, Angela! What's up?"

The woman wasn't looking directly at him. She was nervous and awkwardly moving her leg.

"Something wrong? You don't look so good"

"I'm fine it's just..." the rest was just a quiet mumbling,

"Can you speak louder?"

"That whiskey you gave me..." She turned his head, "CanIhavemore?"

"Huh?"

"Can I have more?"

"I told you no!"

"Please! My friends don't give me a break!"

"Go earn it as I did"

"I won't be flirting with strangers!"

"Look, I won't give you" he noticed that Angela was angry, "And don't even try attacking me. You know this won't work"

Basitin sighed, "What do you want from me? A goddamn date?"

Boris didn't answer. He was just thinking, "Hmm..."

"No, stop thinking about it!"

"Well... you proposed it..."

*Punch!*

The Basitin's fist landed on the soldier's stomach. Good thing he had armor on him so he didn't feel the whole hit. The soldiers who were watching it from the ship were laughing. The Basitins who were in port thought it was a duel so they were cheering the female warrior.

Boris get up still feeling the blow and said "I warned you"

Now it was corporal who had a smirk on her face, "I really want to see what you can-"

He lifted her "Let's skip the boring part, shall we?"

Basitin's mind was full of inaproparied images, "Wh-What a-are you doing?!"

"I'm just taking you to the more... private place" he went on the ship,

"Let me go, you pervert!"

He looked at her and smiled, "Your wish is my command!" and she threw her out of the ship.

*Splash!*

While Merrison was swimming back to the shore, humans were laughing.

"Alright, boys! Let's party!" everyone cheered Boris.

He went to his cabin looking for the bag full of whiskey. But when he entered the room was trashed. The bag full of bottles wasn't under the bed where he hid. Boris was furious and accused his friends,

"Which one of you stole my beer?!", Everyone was looking at each other,

"Calm down, it has to be somewhere" Yuri said,

"Search the whole ship!"

The whole garrison turned the ship upside down. Nothing was found.

In the evening...

The commander of the human garrison, captain Soldat came back and was furious. He scolded them for the awful state of the ship,

"You goddamn pack of fucking idiots!" his shouting was ringing in soldiers' heads, "I was so gracious giving you a free day. How did you repay? You mess the whole ship!"

As he was going back and forth, Boris and his pals were wondering what penalty they received,

To their surprise, when their commander finished his "speech" he said, "Clean this garbage. I have to think about your punishment. Dismissed!"

"Yes, Captain!"

"Boris! Yuri!" the captain turned to his underlings, "To my office, now!"

They nodded and followed his superior.

They closed the door.

"We have a problem"

"I thought you order to look incompetent and disorganized-" Yuri said, but captain interrupted him

"But I order you, morons, to guard the ship!"

"Sir," Boris wasn't a type of coward but his voice was trembling in the presence of Soldat, "The only stolen thing is my bag with whiskey"

"Boris. Your room has a secret safe. A safe with my fucking package"

The boys had the 'Oh, shit' on their faces,

Soldat continued, "The package is very valuable. It's so valuable that losing it could make some influential people...angry"

They knew he was deadly serious, "We will find it, sir! I promise!"

"You better do more than a promise. Now go!"

They nodded and left in hurry.

"Shit shit shit!" Yuri was sweating like a waterfall, "We're dead, man! That package can be anywhere!"

"Calm the fuck down!" Boris caught him and shook the hell out of him, "Let's review everything that happened today"

"W-We got up at ten, it was our free day after all. Then we were playing cards and then you threw that Basitin out of the ship. It was the time when you found out that someone stole your bag"

"We were playing outside the cabin so no one could enter. They had to do it when I was talking with Angela"

"With who?"

"That's her name. Angela Merrison"

"Funny name" Yuri chuckled,

"Oh really, Mr. Vudka?"

"Focus on the job! It has to be her!"

"Let's go. The faster we 'convince' them to give us the captain's belonging, the better for everyone"

"Do you even know what's inside the package?" Yuri asked,

"Hell if I know" he lied. The commander told him when they were on the continent.

'The less he knows, it's better' Boris thought. He didn't want to put his friend's life on the line.

Both soldiers left the frigate and move into the military part of Basitin town.
