The "Ritual"
On this world the furies practice what is called the "Custom" it is something only the furies practice. It is considered taboo by the human populace of the planet and seen as harmful because it involves consensual incest among adults.
Most of the furry populace practice this secretly and keep it amongst themselves. When a child reaches the age of maturity (18 years), the parents of the opposite gender will give them, with their consent, their first sexual experience. With the current state of medicine in the world this can be done without the threat of accidental offspring during this mating. In some cases, this sexual experience can be shared among same gendered parent and adult offspring as well, or both.
Unlike the human populace, Furs don't force gender rolls on their children preferring them to turn out however they are meant to be. It's more important to adult furs that their children turn out to be who they want to be and not be forced to be something they are not if they stray from perceived norms. Serious harmful criminal actions are still looked down on and dealt with accordingly.
The young fur is observed as they grow to see what he/she's preferences may be. Often the parents will test this with faked “accidental" encounters and gauging their reactions, or just by simple observation. This usually isn't that involved to discern since as the young fur's preferences will be obvious by the time of their 18th birthday. When the time comes the “preferred" parent will approach them and offer them an opportunity to bond with them one more time before they get old enough to leave the home. Often this is a trip or getaway to a location other than the home under the pretense of doing an activity like they used to do when younger. Once engaged on this “adventure" the parent will start gauging their reaction by dressing provocatively, using more innuendo in conversation, touching them more and gauging their reactions. Once they seem receptive to it, they move to sex. This initial moment can result in a flurry of lovemaking in which each participant pushes the other to the edge of what they can handle, the parent providing guidance and often being submissive letting their offspring explore their desires. Eventually, this builds to a “fever." in which both parties become so enraptured in their coitus it often results in unconsciousness due to multiple orgasms and shortened rapid breathing.
If this pretext doesn't interest the young fur, the parents drop it and tell them about the ritual, they may then choose another adult from their familial circle, including family friends or other trusted adults they may choose to be with.
After this inaugural round, the parent or trusted guardian will continue to encourage them to explore all their desires and teach them that it's important that they listen to their partners' needs as well as pursue their own. This can carry on for three days or nights with breaks in between trysts.
Once it is completed, the new adult is welcome to mate with any other adult in their family, including adult siblings.
The “Custom"
Getting their initial sexual experiences out of the way in an environment of trust tends to make the furs of this world way more discerning on who they mate with long term and procreate themselves, forming more stable family units amongst themselves. Birth control medications and shots being 100% effective on this world, some activites have gotten very creative. The following is activities that tend to happen after the initial ritual:
PLAYDATES:
Mother/Daughter & Mother/Son encounters happen more frequently after the initial encounter. often this can involve other men or women in both cases. Sometimes the mother and all her children might engage a partner each in a sexual orgy.
HUNTING TRIPS:
Father/Son groups will take on one or more women (or men or both) simultaneously. In the absence of Sons the Father and Daughter may engage in sex with other females, this can even be done with mixed-gender siblings.
MOM DAY:
Father and Son's will engage the mother sexually, this activity is usually concluded once all the adult males have ejaculated their fill into the Mother. She is usually treated to a few days of rest as they take on her duties around the house.
DAD DAY:
Similar to Mom's day, all adult females of the family mate with the Father, and it's customary for each to receive one ejaculation.
QUIET DAY:
All adult family members engage in a day of debauchery. Non-adults are usually sent to stay with friends or relatives for the duration.
DAUGHTER DAY:
Adult Father/Daughter one on one time.
These are just examples of activities on the world.
As time goes on, especially from the initial experience the new adult finds themselves looking outward for new experiences with new partners and their incestual encounters decrease in number as they start to build their own lives.
