Two Worlds, One Family - Writing Experiment

Okay, so. Jazz, Vay, and Emma-Jo were all kids of my previous fursona. This story I've been thinking about for a while, ever since switching fursonas. All four of these cuties in this story are technically from other universes. The siblings are Emi-Squirrel's children, and Trix is the offspring of my dogsona and a friend's doggo in another universe where I can have children of my own. (Complicated I know, but basically I'm a trans girl and can't give birth myself. I can adopt though, which is a little victory. Doesn't help the dysphoria though. Er... anyways the story.

This short story is just maybe a day or two after the siblings arrived in Trix's world. They befriended and spent the day with Trix, leading to what happens here. If I make a more fleshed out story I'll probably start earlier in the day and also establish in story just what Vay looks like.

Jazz is a nineteen year old nonbinary red panda/red squirrel hybrid. First child of my squirrel fursona, whose father was my best friend's red panda fursona.

Vay is a 17 year old melanistic aphrodite rose shaui (see below)

Trix is a 15 year old mutt (¼ Akita, ¼ Border Collie, ¼ Golden Retriever, ¼ Husky) born to an alternate universe version of my fursona and a friend's fursona.

Emma-Jo is a 13 year old red squirrel/white-tailed deer hybrid, my squirrel fursona's youngest, born of a tryst with a close friend's deer fursona.

Okay I think that's everything I needed to add? Following is just some additional information about Vay and Aphrodite Rose Shaui

Vay is supposed to be a species I made up; an aphrodite rose shaui. She's melanistic so her fur is closer to black and gray than her species usually is. I'll put the species info here.

aphrodite rose shaui

qudrupedal creature resembling the tanuki, with a snout like the coati that they can wiggle to help them get bugs. long thin anteater like tongue. mask patterns similar to raccoons are common

they can stand and walk short distances an two legs but this behaviour is usually only seen in domesticated and city dwelling individuals

fur is an almost unnatural shade of pink, resulting from their diet and the climate of their home forests

crepuscular sleep routine, most active during dawn and dusk

minimal dimorphism; either parent can produce milk for offspring if needed

A young Aphrodite Rose Shaui stood in a basketall court after sunset, accompanied by a doggirl, a squirrel boy, and a squirreldeergirl. The elder squirrel was leaning against the basketball hoop, inhaling pensively from a discreet vape. The youngest squirreldeer was being fascinated by the doggirl's fluffy tail, and she was crouched on the ground, trying to tie a bandana around it like a cute ribbon. The shaui and the doggirl giggled at the little one again, as they had many times that day. Finally, the shaui, Vay, spoke up. “So wait, let me get this straight. Your mom's name is also Emily? That's pretty cool actually." The girl's tail twitched a little excitedly before she sighed. “Oh what am I getting excited for, you're clearly not the same species. Your mom is obviously not mine. Still... these last few hours have been fun Trix. I'm glad I met you! I'm pretty sure the little squirt there is too." She giggled, gesturing to the younger squirrel who was smiling proudly at the cute ribbon that now adorned the pup's tail.

“Hmph. No shit it's not our mom, Vay." He sighed, “besides, you know species doesn't matter. You're family, and you know it." The taller broody squirrel said matter-of-factly. “But, this isn't our home. We have to accept that. There's no way of knowing when we'll see home again. When we'll see mom again..." His voice faltered, glancing down at the youngest squirrel, who was very proud of her ribbon tying skills. She looked back at him with a sweet smile and his breath caught. He leaned closer to Vay and whispered so the youngest wouldn't hear. “Listen... We need to be strong for Emma-Jo. I don't think she's realized just what happened. It's.. going to be hard."

“Hey uh, sorry to interrupt..." Trix began, “But my mom is a huge dork with being caring, and there's a spare garage on our property. I think... I think she'd be willing to help you out until you find something for yourselves." She paused, looking down at Emma-Jo and patting her head. “Besides, I'd love to spend more time with you three. There's something about being with you guys that just feels... right. That sounds so fucking sappy but I don't know.

“Jazz agrees, I think." Vay giggled, looking at her adopted sibling. “I think we all sort of feel it. That's kinda why I was so excited to know that your mom shared our mom's name. We're uh... not exactly from your universe so it is hypothetically possible. And if you feel the connection too..."

“Don't." Jazz cautioned. “I know what you're thinking but she's not our mother. Even if she is some alternate universe equivalent. Mom. Is. Mom." Jazz bristled, putting the vape away and balling his fists so that his nails put pressure on his skin. “I.. sorry. I'll be okay. I need a minute." And with that, the larger squirrel walked off and sat on the swings, hanging his head dejectedly.

“Shit..." Vay muttered. “Emma-Jo, honey. Can you stay with Trix for one second. I need to go comfort Jazz, okay?"

Emma-Jo beamed happily at her and nodded. “It's okay, Trixie can play with me!"

“I... can... but please don't call me that hun. Sorry squirt," she giggled when she saw the little one's face looking like she was feeling guilty. “You're not in trouble, just a preference thing. Hey. Wanna see something cool?" The little squirrel nodded excitedly. “Okay here, check this out. Nothing in my hands, right? Oh, but what's this?" She theatrically reached a hand behind Emma-Jo, acting like she was pulling something out of the little one's ear. “Oh my, would you look at that! You had a whole talisman stuck in your ear. Here, hun. Hold on to this. It'll keep you guys safe okay? Keep it as close to you as you keep that cute little plush of yours."

“Pewi?" She asked quietly, flabbergasted at the show of magic. She clutched her crochet rabbit Peri tight and accepted the talisman. It was a small piece of wood shaped and painted like an emerald, with a dog bone laying horizontally across it. “What is this?" The squirrel asked inquisitively, turning it over in her hand while clutching Peri with her free hand.

“Just a little thing I made in art class. It's sorta the emblem my mom wears on her collar. You'll see. She's gonna fucking love you, I can tell." The two giggled conspiratorially.

“oohhh you said fucking! you're gonna get in trouble!" Emma-Jo giggles again and then flushed slightly and covered her mouth, causing Trix to chuckle and gently ruffle her hair.

“Hey kid, don't worry it's just a word. I'm not about to scold you for it. My mom... well, she might? I guess you are a bit young to curse... eh, I'll leave the parenting to the parents." She giggled at herself and gave the little one a little hug.

“Thank you for looking after her, Trix." Jazz said quietly. “Sorry about that. I didn't mean to imply anyt-"

“Hush, Jazz. You three have been through a lot. I may be young but I understand. Come on. Let me introduce you to my mom. I'm sure she'll love you all. Plus, if you're lucky, Aunt Lloxie will be there. Uncle Lloxie? Both are correct!" Emma-Jo and Trix giggled together and then Emma-Jo surprised them all, grabbing her sibling's hands and pulling them closer so that the four could have a big group hug. Jazz rolled his eyes but secretly enjoyed the closeness, while Vay and Trix blushed a bit at the proximity. Emma-Jo just smiled brightly at her siblings and Trix. “Okay okay hun, that's enough." She paused seeing Emma-Jo's lip quiver. “Oh gosh you're as much of a cuddlebug as my mom, aren't you. Okay okay, tell you what. We can cuddle and watch some cartoons... when we get to my place and get you guys someplace to sleep. How does that sound?"

Emma-Jo beamed enthusiastically at her, clutching Peri to her chest. Then, she took her bunny and gently booped Trix's nose with the nose of the plush. “Peri likes that idea too!" She giggled again, and finally the four set off back to Emily and Trix's home.
