** Chapter 1:**

Ca Kyñasado

A definition:

Kyñasado has multiple definitions depending on the context. Its literal meaning is Demon Animal.

Such a vague term creates vague usage. Its most common usages are listed below

  1. A savage animal

  2. A creature or servant of some Uicala

  3. Any creature that possess magical powers or traits that is unfavorable

This book covers the final two definitions.

Chapter 5

Yathulpi Kyñasado

This beast is naturally found across the land. Its range is too expansive to define. Though with the banishing of evil from the lands, the restoration of the kingdom by Intya I the Restorer, and the reign of Arturos I the Golden these beast have all but disappeared from the land. Packs can be found only on the fringes of our Kingdom and of course in the wildlands. These beasts as far as our information says, are beings of their own accord. Serving no god. Myths and folklore fill the gaps. A tale from the Foxes of the North say that they were created by the Dioda, but were too savage and wild to be controlled. A tale from the Deer of the western woods, say that they are a blight bestowed upon them by their gods for a sin[[1]](#_ftn1), only to run wild. A very interesting tale, that our scholars considered to be quite old, before the Restoration comes from the Wolves of the Atashiostthat[[2]](#_ftn2). They claim that Yagho[[3]](#_ftn3) created the Yathulpi Kyñasado as a joke. This angered the other gods and they ordered Yagho to destroy them. But by then they had multiplied far beyond control.

It is possible that the Yathulpi Kyñasado were created in the distant past by some god, but were uncontrollable and are now a blight on the land.

** Description:**

The beasts are between 1 and 1 and a half foxes tall, 2-3 foxes long. They are known for a blood chilling howl, distinct from any other creature. Their mouth oozes a pitch-like substance as black as night. This substance has various uses and properties mainly in the dark arts. They have between 23-36 highly sharpened teeth, each as long as a dagger. Their claws are rather sharp as well. Their under the cover of night is black, but upon daytime inspection, It's actually a deep dark purple. Each beast is slightly weaker than a fully grown bear.

Prevention and Dealings:

These beats are not found anywhere but the fringes and the wildlands. There is no need for prevention beyond avoiding those areas. If one finds oneself in those aforementioned areas then one should be prepared for a difficult fight ahead. These beasts are fairly intelligent and travel in packs with 7-21 individuals, a single Fox will be devoured. The best hope for survival is to climb a Pine tree, though it is said other needle trees will work as well. It is said that the smell of the tree is noxious to these beasts. It should be noted this is not fool proof and all accounts agree that needle trees especially pine work best.

[[1]](#_ftnref1) This sin varies from herd to herd, often coincidentally lining up with what they considerer to be the greatest vice.

[[2]](#_ftnref2) Means Between rivers. An area in the north east.

[[3]](#_ftnref3) The wolves do not refer to the god as Yagho, we have inferred it to be such
