#3 of Elemental Angel

For the next week, Brett never let Kasahara out of his sight. They went to many of the same classes together; they ate together; the slept together--in separate beds. All the while, Brett had both Wiseman and George researching ways that Kasahara's powers could be transferred to Brett. Kasahara didn't really mind losing his powers--he never even really used them enough to appreciate them. Being an Elemental Angel was just another stress in his life that he didn't need. Actually, all the attention that Brett was giving him was incentive enough to go along with it.

Kasahara often wondered what would happen with it was all over, and his powers were gone. Would Brett stop hanging out with him? As Kasahara walked to his Rhetoric class, a sudden pain seized him. He grabbed his head and groaned. All of a sudden, he was somewhere else. It was another time.

"Somebody. Please pay attention to me. I....I, I don't have a mommy." Said Kasahara.

He was standing in a destroyed hallway. The sound of crackling fire could be heard nearby. He was all alone. "Please....please? I'll be good. Really I will." Said Kasahara, clutching his teddy bear.

Suddenly the roof seemed to moan and creak. With a loud thud, part of the ceiling caved in, right in front of Kasahara. He could plainly make out a sign that had been affixed to the roof. It read: Yorkland Home for Lost Children. Kasahara started to cry. "Please? Somebody pay attention to me!!" yelled Kasahara.

Suddenly he was back to reality. Kasahara found himself gasping on the ground, in a fetal position. He glanced over his shoulder and about himself nervously; it seemed that there had been no one around to see him collapse. With a sigh of relief, Kasahara raised himself weakly. That was the last thing he wanted--for people to see him have a breakdown. Faintly he wondered if anyone else could hear the screams in his memories. Suddenly, the wind blew strongly. A vaint giggling could be heard. "Hahaha, I see you're not purple anymore. I love your fur's natural color." Said a voice.

Kasahara gasped, for floating five feet above the ground was Antiquity. The brown furred goat was now wearing a stylish leather vest and jeans with a fashionable tear on one knee. "Antiquity!" said Kasahara.

"Hmm, what happened to you a few moments ago? Poor guy, were you having nightmares? Hahaha." Chuckled Antiquity.

Kasahara slowly backed away. He cursed his bad luck; now was one of the rare times when Brett was unable to guard Kasahara. At this time of day, Brett took a class that was on the other side of campus. "Geh! I'm warning you, I'm not afraid of you this time. Just go away." Said Kasahara.

"Hehehehe, cool your jets there cutie. I'm not here to hurt you. I just want to make you an offer is all."said Antiquity.

In the next moment, Antiquity appeared floating upside down, next to Kasahara. The salt-and-pepper shaded goat jumped back and gasped. "Tell me, do you like being the Elemental Angel? You don't have to have these powers. I can make it all go away, if you want..." said Antiquity.

Rubbing his neck, Kasahara asked, "What do you mean?"

"Just give your powers to me. Problem solved."

"I don't know how to do that. An-and, even if I did--"

"Oh I know how! It's a very....interesting exercise. I think you'll find it most enjoyable, actually. I know I will."

"Even if I did know how, I would never give it to you!"

"Oh? And why not?"

"Because you're obviously evil! I mean, what would you do with all that power anyway? I'm giving it Brett and that's that."

"Evil? Well, that's a matter of opinion. Oh, and the better question that you should be asking is: what will Brett do with it? Eh?"

"I.....I don't know. M-maybe he just wants to get stronger. That's got to be it."

"Don't be so sure. Elementals are the most cutthroat warriors. They'll do anything to achieve their goals. Make no mistake: you're going to end up being used by someone, Kasahara! It could even be Brett!"

"How do you know my name?"

At this, Antiquity folded his arms and began to laugh. His evil laughter filled the wind; it made Kasahara shudder. "I know everything about you Kasahara. Everything. You are the Elemental Angel. You are the one destined to tame the power of the elementals. It was your glorious birth that shook this city, seventeen years ago." Said Antiquity.

Kasahara drew back in horror. He gasped, his heart racing out of control. That horrible disaster, thought Kasahara, the one that I've always read about in the history books! All those thousands of people, he continued, dead, because of me?!

Kasahara knew that it was certainly possible. He had no parents and had been raised in an orphanage, since as far back as he could remember. "I am what they call, a Visitor. It's my job to gather knowledge about every super natural being on the planet. When you were born, I came to this city. It was almost completely destroyed, and yet.....I could find no trace of your energy. Back then I assumed that you had expended it all and killed yourself along with everyone else. But apparently, you somehow transmuted yourself into furry form. Perhaps you were aware of me, and you were hiding. I was going to kill you, you know. But now I fail to see the point--you are no threat to my masters." Explained Antiquity.

"You're.....masters?" asked Kasahara.

"Enough talk. Now, give me the power....or I'll just take it by force. I'm not above that, you know." Said Antiquity.

Turning himself right side up, Antiquity removed his vest, displaying his finely muscled chest. He tossed it aside, flexing a powerful tricep. Kasahara raised his right hand and called out his Power Orb. With a few quick hand motions, he summoned his glistening armor; in only seconds, he was ready to fight. Antiquity watched this and giggled. "Oh my.....that's so cute. But, I mean. It's....." Antiquity's voice faded.

"Huh?" queried Kasahara.

"..........so....."

"Hey, what do you mean?"

"....small."

Kasahara almost fell. "Y-you shut up and prepare yourself for defeat! Small! Hah! Hah I say! It's....it's not the size. It's...." Kasahara's voice faded.

Antiquity lowered an eyebrow and crossed his arms. "Oh god don't." he said.

"....the motion of the ocean!!" yelled Kasahara, posing elegantly.

"Ah-ha ha ha. Let's just go." Said Antiquity.

Suddenly, Antiquity flew into the air. He waved his arm, sending out a gale of wind towards Kasahara. Quickly, Kasahara jumped out of the way, just before the gale hit the ground, sending debris everywhere. Kasahara panted as he raised himself from the ground. Antiquity descended slightly and said, "Hahaha, my that was very agile of you. I hope running isn't the only thing Brett taught you."

Kasahara quickly stomped the ground, causing a large boulder to uproot itself in front of him. With a wave of his hands, Kasahara willed the boulder to float in mid-air. "Uuuh-huuuhh!" yelled Kasahara, motioning with his hands.

The boulder was sent flying towards Antiquity. "Please." Said Antiquity.

With great ease, the warrior flew out of the way; the boulder completely missed him. In the very next moment however, a huge pile of dirt and rocks fell on top of Antiquity. "Ahhh!" he cried out, before being pounded to the Earth.

"Heh, don't you know a distraction when you see one?" asked Kasahara.

Quickly, the transformed goat ran over the pile of earth. He arrived just as Antiquity managed to raise his head out of the dirt. Kasahara grabbed his opponent's head with both hands and began to channel his energy into Antiquity. "Now, I'll make sure I seal away all of your powers this time!" said Kasahara.

Antiquity looked up at Kasahara weakly for a moment. Kasahara thought faintly that Antiquity looked rather beautiful. Then the Visitor smiled, his body emitting its own strange glow. "Wha-! It's not working?" gasped Kasahara.

Antiquity raised himself out of the dirt and shook himself. "I've done some studying, and I've learned how to erect a halo. See?" asked Antiquity, pointing to his wrist.

Kasahara saw something that he hadn't noticed before. Attached to Antiquity's wrist, was a golden bracelet, with a brown gem inside. It was the incarnation of a Power Orb. "Halos protect you from outside intrusion. I'm on an elemental, but I'm not above using their weapons. Or their cherished techniques. Now, this is where you lose, Kasahara." Said Antiquity.

The Visitor threw both of his hands into the air, sending a massive wind gale in Kasahara's direction. The young warrior had no time to dodge, and was quickly swept up into the air. The wind howled in his ears, an angry, bloated monster of elemental might. Kasahara screamed; he could not be heard over the roar of the wind. Antiquity threw his hands down; this sent the wind crashing into the concrete, carrying Kasahara with it. Kasahara smacked into the cold cement, leaving a small pool of blood on the ground and a gash on his head. Brett had taught Kasahara how to use an Earth Heal; unfortunately, Kasahara was slowly fading from consciousness. "Good. You'll be still while I do this. It won't be very pleasant for you now, I'm afraid. You should have just taken my offer." Said Antiquity, as he slowly approached.

Kasahara's last cogent thoughts were of the orphanage. He was there now, standing in that burning hallway. And he could see himself as a little boy, fearfully clutching his teddy bear. The fire seemed to loose its sound and the hallway became silent. Slowly, his younger self turned around. So very slowly. The look in his eyes made Kasahara shiver. The child spoke: "Pay attention to me--"

"Pay attention." Said Kasahara, now back in the present.

He was now standing directly in front of Antiquity. There was a look of horror on the Visitor's face. "Ooohhhh!!" cried Kasahara.

Kasahara's body became solidified light. He grew several feet taller; his hands changed into claws; glowing wings sprouted from his back. With blinding speed, Kasahara punched his advisary, sending him flying. In only a second's time, Kasahara was behind the soaring Antiquity; the raging monster slashed Antiquity, bouncing him in the opposite direction. Now Antiquity's blood was staining the concrete. Kasahara picked up Antiquity by the head and roared. It was an inhuman scream that defies description. "Ah...ah...ahhh! G-god....help us...all." Gasped Antiquity.

Kasahara took Antiquity's arm and pulled it outward. And he kept pulling. There was a loud crunch, then the sound of a wet garbage bag being torn in half. "Aahhhh!!" screamed Antiquity.

The monster threw his opponent into the street and dropped the severed appendage. It raised it hands above it's head. The only sound now was that of Antiquity's labored breathing. Three golden rings appeared around Antiquity's body and closed in around him. Antiquity screamed once more, as he was lifted up by the glowing rings and then disintegrated.

Kasahara took a breath that sounded more mechanical than anything else. His body shrunk back to it's normal size and shape. Now naked and prostate on the ground, Kasahara fainted.
